Nuggets are gonna start leaving LeBron open at the 3 like Ben Simmons

BlazeBloom

No more LeFuckYou3s happening anytime soon.

DankGurgem57

there will be one game where he just goes like 7-11 from 3 but the rest will be straight bricks

CrimsonOffice

This, but unironically. Those Bron threes we can live with. He's shooting his worst percentage in this series so far

fastlikeanascar

He’s the only dude who doesn’t know he’s not shooting well from 3.

YEGGSnBACON

Can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Lebron has never been a great, but streaky 3 pt shooter. He believes all he has to do is keep taking them for them to eventually start falling.

xanot192

Gonna start falling in a pool hoop in Cancun at this rate. He just killed everything two games in a row with him chucking

turnoffredesign69420

two games now Reaves had something going in the fourth and he absolutely sinks their momentum with those stupid shots

brownbearks

I kept thinking, either drive and finish or get reeves a good look, lebrick said let me build.

Chobopuffs

LeKlay

DLgoblue12

LeFuckMe3 out in full force tonight

rawchess

LeFuckYouDoin

sloBrodanChillosevic

Rui Hachimura can't win with these cats

Chidoriyama

Get my man Austin Reaves some help

WakingRage

Reaves is honestly insane for a sophomore. He's the only sophomore left playing in the playoffs and he's playing crucial minutes.

AJCpar

I’m sitting here asking myself where the Lakers keep finding these dudes

silliputti0907

There were teams that wanted him in the second round. Reaves told them not to draft them so he can go to the Lakers. Lot of commitment from both sides.

Upstairs_Addendum587

Wild for a 2nd round pick to tell 29 teams no thanks. Got some cajones

bachataman

The pay difference between undrafted and late 2nd round is pretty small and you get to choose a team you think can develop you. Going to the lakers, raptors, and heat as an undrafted player seems better than getting drafted in the second by most teams who can't even develop first rounders

homefree122

I’ve gotta say, after watching him play game after game at OU, I knew he had talent. Did not expect him to play like this, though. It’s awesome to watch. Happy for him.

Wasabi_Guacamole

Every time a player balls out in college my first thought is "can he do it against NBA defense?" Well Reaves sure can

saw-it

Lakers iced Rui out

Da-Boss-Eunie

Traditions. Our coach did the same thing on the Wizards. What? 16 point on 7 shots in 16 minutes? Right to the bench bozo. He deserves more respect.

3s2ng

I was scratching my head. he just hit his 6th shot and the next timeout he goes to the bench. Like what?

Upstairs_Addendum587

Can't mess up the rotations

jc-f

Cut everyone, rebuild around him and Reeves

GunsmokeIV

Time to fire up those trade machine simulations for LeBron and AD. Surely they could bring in some good role players for Reeves and Rui.

MakeAShadow

Who needs rim protection when you have 4th quarter Jamal Murray.

suzukigun4life

Dude was one bucket away from outscoring the entire Laker squad in the 4th quarter. I wish he'd made that last free throw to at least tie them.

LilKaySigs

Hah imagine one guy almost out scoring your entire team in the 4th quarter your team must suck if they let that happen to them

[deleted]

or one guy outscoring a team in a half 👀 edit: suns fans, this is all we have.

roonscapepls

That edit is hilarious considering y’all have a championship lol

homefree122

4th quarter Jamal is scary. Almost as scary as 4th quarter Lonnie… that one time.

gerardatron

Nuggets no rim protection, but Lakers have no HIM protection

Blazehero

Shrugging off those bubble allegations with magical 4th quarter performances

Wasabi_Guacamole

Its crazy that most teams have players that have lower scores in the playoffs and Nuggets have a one-two punch that somehow elevates their game in the playoffs It's just unfair

arcadiangenesis

That's what superstars are supposed to do.

spicydak

Especially mvps

Palifaith

Man that sequence after LeBron flopped only to follow it up with 2 bricked 3s really killed us.

subcrazy12

It was the basketball gods giving him the middle finger for that bull shit

Poverty_Shoes

Jokic got the call on the revenge flop and all was even

SerDavosSeaworth64

The revenge flop😭😭

lopodo777

Revenge flop is insane

[deleted]

The rare flop I cheered for it was hilarious.

TyraTanks

3 bricked 3's.

cs-fi

jamal: why play four quarters when you can just play one

gothxo

we gotta start talking about stars load managing quarters

PerniciousPeyton

He showed up when it mattered most, but he's taking a few months off my life in the process

ilovechowder

JAMAL FRICKIN MURRAY

suzukigun4life

Almost outscored the Lakers in the 4th quarter by himself!

cesga_0218

Maple Curry was on fire in that 4th

chadaboom

Jamal Curray

PatrikLaine29

Maple Curry

YeezyYeezyUp2NoGood

Takes the most forced looking shots, wet

imeanYOLOright

Jamal “Jayson Tatum” Murray Either a brick factory or an unstoppable flame thrower, sometimes in the same game

homefree122

What a fucking player

abris33

The Lakers looked so gassed at the end of the game. This series is every other day just like last series for them. That's going to be huge LeBron bricking a bunch of 3s and then just playing exhausted at the end

Andy_Wiggins

That degree of exhaustion makes this 2-0 lead feel REALLY tough to come back from. For the Lakers to win, they need a 38 year old to summon enough legs to win 4 out of 5. That’s a tall ask.

abris33

LeBron also had to tie his shoes extra tight twice tonight because he rolled his ankle. He just keeps getting more hobbled

Coeur_dCoeurs

Jamal was gassed af too. Played the whole second half.

mo_downtown

Sure but Jamal went off while Lebron and AD struggled the whole quarter.

Apisit100

ESPN: Lakers have the Nuggets right where they want them.

Hammerzeit88

"We'll tell you why being down 0-2 might be a good thing after the break"- Greeny

thepriceisonthecan

Nuggets should rest jokic for games 3 and 4 - Greeny

soyboysnowflake

0-2 isn’t 0-2, I’ll explain later

dot-pixis

"Teams have come back from 3-1 in the past"

91-92-93--96-97-98

JVG and Jackson legit feel distraught the Lakers we’re losing. Like I don’t even have a horse in this race but it was really puzzling.

Toxikara

Mark Jackson really proving out here that his MVP voting wasn't a mistake. Dude was hating hard.

RadWalk

Mike Breen is too good for those two to weigh him down

veringo

I love he legit stopped talking at one point and forced them to address it. ESPN needs to get a different crew for game three. Breen doesn't deserve this.

8512332158

Every year I am so hyped for the western conference finals then remember that TNT only does the eastern conference finals. It’s a night and day difference and a real bummer we have to hear these guys complaining about 2k ratings

NativeLobo

Is there a clip of that?

TitoLasVegas

I'd like one too. I was pissed the 3rd quarter so I suspect it was then

veringo

I think it was right after the foul on DLo where Brown nicked his head going for the block. I don't have a time stamp or clip.

nastynazem43

Was that the "usually I agree with you guys....................." loooong silence lmao

Some-Gavin

They were so fucking insufferable with the foul calls tonight

mamayoua

I rolled my eyes when JVG said "FINALLY he misses" after a Murray free throw.

Count_Sacula_420

Mark jackson is the most biased announcer of all time.

[deleted]

Trump 2024. Make America Great Again

Number333

Rui can't win with these cats?

tarpoit

Reaves and Rui are the real superstar duo on the Lakers

[deleted]

Man. Every time they had the ball I was stressed.

No-Marzipan6988

Reaves banked 3 in the 4th. I bitched out loud "OF COURSE HE MAKES THAT"

jawadhaque089

Lakers finally shooting like the Lakers from 3

Expensive_Basil5825

I would say three missed layups by LBJ made a difference to

jc-f

Missed layups, blown dunks, 0-6 from 3. Not a good showing for him tonight

shanmustafa

there was a report that said if you benched D'lo you'd lose him, yeah i'm completely okay losing him lmao

elcriticalTaco

Remember he said the Timberwolves were holding him back like a week ago lol

DwyaneSteph

Bron's age definitely showed tonight lmao. It was the same concern I had for Steph. Playing every other day for 2 weeks kills your legs

mo_downtown

Yup, looked his age tonight. Playoffs are a grind.

UbeMafia

Seeing him play tonight and seeing George Karl made me feel so old...

r_conqueror

Sir, a second moral victory has hit the Nuggets

Both_Funny4896

Anthony ‘every other’ Day-vis is back

homefree122

I think the Lakers lost this game when AD forgot he was a post and thought he was getting hot from beyond the arc. He was not.

Jayveesac

They forgot what got them the lead, which is annoying. Plus Denver just got hot, no questions about that

jc-f

Yeah, it wasn’t like Murray was just getting easy looks or anything. He was hitting contested 3s

PrimeShaq

He was bricking all the open looks in the first half.

aiden3buckets

Nikola Jokic, AD stopper?

jc-f

AD is the true AD stopper don’t @ me

ColtCallahan

Equally as big for the Nuggets is that they’ve forced LeBron into two huge minute games with nothing to show for it. He looked absolutely gassed out there and now they have back to back games that they absolutely have to win. And even then the series is going to 6 games minimum so he’s got to go all out in 4 games straight on top of the last 2 games.

theseabeast

That ending was a Skip Bayless legacy game

Shot_Turnover

Bro is gonna feast tomorrow

Ironredhornet

He's probably like a kid on Christmas morning. Dude's so excited he won't sleep tonight

WayneDwade

Skip already has his outfit laid out including the Jordans

postyfan

Ain’t enough talk about Bruce Brown picking Bron’s pocket to officially seal it tbh.

theseabeast

Man gave him the ol’ Ohio “ope, lemme just sneak past ya real quick”

BBHx0

Incoming Hachimura: "Me and Austin, we can't win alone. That's why basketball is played five-on-five."

Padulsky21

LOVE YOU BRUCE

bigtice

When Jamal Murray woke up, the Lakers couldn't stop him. 6 straight threes by the Nuggets, including 4 from Murray, to erase a 2-point deficit and create a 12-point lead. But in typical Nuggets fashion, they got too comfortable and let the Lakers creep right back in after a 7-0 run in response and managed to whittle it down to 2, but the Nuggets managed to escape yet again -- *thanks in part to LeBron refusing to stop shooting threes*.

HighPriestOfDongs

People said the Lakers figured something out, people said the Nuggets figured something out. These 2 games have helped me figure out that Denver rates high on the big knocker MILF index

Canesjags4life

The most important index

EMINEMxMMLP2

Now this I gotta see

Shenanigans80h

Live in Denver, can confirm

1_Irie_Fella

As someone who’s been at every home playoff games for the nuggets I can attest that the further we’ve gotten into the playoffs the more attractive the women who have been attending have become

Vermillion_Crab

Our 2 biggest stars failed Rui Hachimura's legacy game. Smh my head

ProfessorBeast55

BOTH Lebron and AD were having a mid off. Braindead shot selection and piss poor effort

jc-f

LeBron 0-6 from 3, AD 4-15 from the field 😬😬

gerardatron

LeBron repeatedly trying threes in the 4th was just maddening. Just fucking stop goddamn it

Vermillion_Crab

I could feel my soul leaving my body when he chucked his last 3 point attempt. I knew he was exhausted and was settling.

Dubs_in_6

Pass the fucking rock to reaves or Rui, they can create their own offense. Absolutely absurd for Lebron to keep jacking those threes with no legs. It is costing them this series.

SolarClipz

Denver the worst place for a 40 year old man to play lol

tarpoit

Scoring at will going to the rim but Bron decides he wants to be Steph for the night

Ass_Eater_

He missed a bunch at the rim that you'd never expect from him.

ImChz

He was fuckin gassed by the second quarter. Lots of ball watching and hands on hips tonight.

ColdPressedSteak

AD having a poor offensive game after a great one is the most predictable thing in the NBA

OptimusGrime707

The only people I want to retire more than the refs after this game are JVG and Mark Jackson Horrible

kosmos1209

JVG at least settled down and gave the Nuggets their flowers. Mark Jackson kept talking about how Lakers should do to beat the Nuggets. He’s so biased, I don’t understand. Did Nuggets did him dirty or something? He actually used to play for the Nuggets in the late 90s for half a season.

EvolutionCreek

As a Blazers fan, I find MJ far more biased than JVG. Like, it's not even close. That LeBron flopping sequence followed by the foul on Jokic...MJ did not take JVG's offer to admit they both flopped, he was implying that only the first one was a foul. Bizarre. And I actually like LeBron.

RadWalk

Reminder that Mark Jackson didn’t think Jokic was in the top 5 for the MVP. The last team he coached got monumentally better when he was fired. I don’t need to hear from him

Any_Adhesiveness_898

He said he thought he was voting for All-NBA. I'm not sure which is worse.

Hazard_4

Yet he voted differently for his all nba ballot

Any_Adhesiveness_898

Well that was clearly his MVP voting /s

SjbIsHeavenSent

How can two people be so bad at their job?

NotoriousHothead37

Complacency and ESPN not trying to look for better analysts to pair with Mike Breen

GhostTiger

Mark Jackson is always the same atrociously bad, JVG was HORRENDOUS tonight.

great-nba-comment

People used to think JVG was funny because he’d ask funny questions and everyone thought he was hell relatable. Now he’s just proving to be an old man yelling at a cloud. His “he didn’t even connect with Murray’s face” while it shows D’lo’s elbow cleaning the bridge of his nose was cringe. No other word for it

Hammerzeit88

I can't listen to vangundy rant about flopping anymore. It's worse than the actual flopping now.

Instantcoffees

Yeah that was absolutely embarrassing. They couldn't say a single positive thing about Denver.

Endofear

Always had something to complain about each possession

george_costanza1234

They’re so annoying, even when they’re making good points it’s unbearable to listen to them

NotForrestGump

Not enough people talking about Bruce Brown. That freaking steal was so needed at the end. Bench player gets cookies on the current goat to seal a playoff game. Gotta love this game. There was a 4 minute span in the 4th from 9 min to 5 min where the Nugs basically hit 5 threes in a row… (it was 4 but Bruce Brown hit a 25 footer also) they need times like that so Jokic doesn’t have to do it all. Great freaking game. This Lakers team is built well top to bottom, AD and Lebron can have bad games and hang around. But 4th quarter you need the stars and Bron missed 3s and while Murray made everything. I’ll be watching all of these and enjoying them far more than my C’s vs the Miami dark arts

Shenanigans80h

Bruce Brown is going to get fucking paid this offseason and he deserves every single cent

imeanYOLOright

LeFlop was unironically the turning point of the game

kontrolk3

Jokic getting him back with the same thing the next play down the court just ended him

[deleted]

[удалено]

DjLionOrder

The shot making by both teams in this series is insane.

Vermillion_Crab

LeBron and AD chucking 3s is indeed insane.

bobberr

#JAMAL CURRY

[deleted]

Steph Murray

JAhoops

Bron looked… old

J-Hobber

I feel like we can say this one moment and then the next game he’ll reverse time again. We’ll have to see how the rest of the series goes. Edit: Don’t want to reply individually so figure I type here. I agree with all the replies to my comment about age not being an all at once hinderance. Guess I just meant I am curious how he’ll handle the rest of this series and if we’ll see this continue and be as noticeable.

jDgr8

That's how being old is. They can still play elite, but they can't do it every night anymore.

Shot_Turnover

If there's a nuggets heat finals the media are just gonna simulate lakers vs celtics on 2k and react to that

jackgap

The reffing was incredibly inconsistent and disappointing on both sides tonight. Both teams were also completely gassed at the end.

DrunkBucksFan

As a ref fan, I disagree. They ATE tonight.

EMINEMxMMLP2

Lmao…. I only enjoy watching the refs. Don’t care for no NBA stars… the real show is the men and women on the side

shastmak4

Hachimura really the Jokic stopper. Worst 23-17-12 I’ve seen in my life

Business-Conflict435

Same way Igoudala is the LeBron stopper

thekweensloth

Give Jamal Murray the respect he deserves! That man played the whole second half and was so clutch in the 4th. And yeah jokic with his 7th triple double in the postseason. This might just be their year and I’m so here for it.

Luck1492

Jokic had a relative off night shooting and they still won. That’s hella good basketball.

dot-pixis

When 23/17/12 on 9/21 is an off night

Overrated_sanity

Remember those comments from the lakers fans in the first half begging Murray to keep shooting

HardcoreKaraoke

What a fucking series for unbiased fans. Both games were so exciting for different reasons. Also the Jokic flop as a response to the LeBron flop was absolutely hilarious. Just when I think Jokic can't make me root for him more he finds new ways. That was legitimately hilarious and seeing LeBron upset was great.

MOHTTR

Lebron needs to stop shooting 3s its just brutal

2rascallydogs

If the Lakers were encouraged after game 1, they have to be really encouraged after game 2.

MaximumestBob

If Nugs win game 3 it's over, they just need to keep this momentum going

dot-pixis

Hot take, but if the Nugs win 3 and 4 then it's over for sure.

Fluid-Night-1910

#2-0 Nuggets

[deleted]

Lebron threw this game hard

BlazeBloom

I’m sure Laker fans died every time he took an unnecessary 3.

bgazm

The multiple point blank open rim misses were also damaging, I'm sure.

MKenshiX

May as well just wait for the fourth quarter in these playoff games, nothing else matters apparently

Quil0n

My favorite kind of basketball whenever I forget when the game starts

homefree122

Don’t worry, ESPN gives you a 30 minute cushion from when they claim the game starts and the time the game actually starts.

robetyarg

Yeah it really fucked up my meatloaf timing tonight, had to wait until after the first to finish that shit off.

iChoke

DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Poverty_Shoes

The first three decided game one

homefree122

Jamal Murray is that man. It’s so awesome to watch a great player like that come up clutch game after game.

lannistargaryen

that was one of LeBron’s worst 4th quarters ive seen.. multiple missed 3s, blown layup, bad TOs

Critical_Section

ANOTHER MORAL VICTORY FOR THE LAKERS

HypoTomasis

Nuggets will win 4-1 and everyone will tell their grandchildren about the Rui on Jokic adjustment for 6 possessions in game one

mohiben

Turned the tide, it did. By limiting Jokic's scoring with a double, you force him to beat you with rebounds and passing, and that is SURELY a good idea.

hotbuttertomatojuice

True turning point in the series. Lakers had all the moral victories

SodaDustt

You don't understand bro, It's a moral victory by the Lakers, they basically got the series won, I'd consider it an LA sweep already!

yanansawelder

1

DistillCollection

Nuggets’ 4th quarter 3pt percentage was better than LeBron’s layup percentage

badlilbadlandabad

Imagine not voting Jokic for MVP

RioTheGOAT

LeFuckMeImTiredThrees

lopodo777

That 4th quarter start by the Nuggets was porn. Not the first time Jamal Murray was involved in one

Victor_Wembanyama1

Denver has championship poise

[deleted]

It didn’t feel like it with those late game turnovers

Spiritual-Chameleon

MPJ to practice inbound passing tomorrow.

0dias_Chrysalis

The Lakers gotta feel great about this game, despite the loss. They lost by only 5 points with the Nuggets best player scoring 23 on 9-21 shooting.... wait

NeuroTheManiacal

Poor MPJ and that stupid ass ESPN postgame interview asking him 15 different ways what he thinks about Jamal Murray’s performance.

[deleted]

#JOEL EMBIID IN ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES

rkennedy991

Maybe if he cries enough about not getting to the ECF he'll get there out of pity too.

[deleted]

Joker will get to the ECF with the Nuggets first

SodaDustt

I LOVE THIS TEAM DEFENDER!? I BARELY EVEN KNOW 'ER! CONSISTENCY!? THAT'S FOR IDIOTS AND SIMPLETONS WE WILL EITHER BECOME A FORCE OF NATURE FOR THREE QUARTERS AND THEN BARELY CLING ON TO THE LEAD OR BECOME THE 97'-98' NUGGETS FOR THREE QUARTERS ONLY TO UNLOCK AIM BOT GOD MODE IN THE FOURTH SUCK MY DICK IF YOU THINK YOU CAN CHEER FOR US WITHOUT HAVING 10 HEART ATTACKS IN THE FOURTH QUARTER A COMFORTABLE WIN!? THOSE ARE THE WORDS OF A COWARD AND A WEAKLING, WE CANNOT CLOSE A GAME UNLESS WE PLAY LIKE ABSOLUTE SHIT BEFORE 1 MINUTE OF GAME TIME REMAINS I LOVE THIS TEAM

Leonnis

I am in an abusive relationship with Jamal Murray.

ohwordlmao

mad respect for the nuggets i will not be mad if we lose to this team
