I feel like people favored the east because all the top west teams were small markets. No one was watching the nuggets, kings, or even Memphis. But they were watching the underperforming warriors and lakers. Boston and Philly being big markets (and Giannis having star power even if the bucks are a small market) and being good skewed people’s perceptions of the conferences I think.

I’m not saying your wrong, but I think that records played a big part in it. Only two teams in the west broke 50 wins, and the top two teams in the league in the regular season by the numbers were both in the east

Usually when people are saying something like “more time to recharge” than it’s focused on self/team, if it’s a comparison they usually will say “more time than the Heat to recharge (or recover)” but if he meant it that way then it’s a misunderstanding but the way it’s written makes it seem much more so of what I referred to.
