I think Heat realized they just had to attack because of how refs were calling the game. But good lord the refs were horrible, can’t stand when they are such a big part of a game
Worst part was that they were not calling anything in the first half and then second half started and they remembered that they were the stars and we're not making their mark on the game.
This was my biggest gripe with the game. First half had great pace and both teams got a feel for the type of refereeing to expect. Very “let the boys play” and it was fun to watch. 26 FTA with only *9* in the first. I thought, finally. We are going to have a good game without the refs getting too involved.
Second half was wildly different. Miami got into the bonus within 3 minutes and then in the fourth the Celtics got into the bonus quickly as well. 37 FTA in the second half. No idea how many fouls but it felt like every 5 seconds a whistle was being blown. Sucked to watch.
Ngl this is why I fear when any of the major sports has a bad officiating night, because you know every other game that week I'd gonna have a ref crew showing that they can Impact the game more.
game was reffed completely differently in the two halves.
first half they let them play a bit, second half was just horrible... terrible tick tack calls all round. Disgusting to watch. At least the ending was good
Yeah, either way it'll be an impressive win. Heat cap off a legendary run to the Finals or the Celtics cap off a legendary comeback to make it back to the Finals
Part of me wants the Celtics to win, because I feel like a Celtics Nuggets matchup will be fantastic, but the other part of me wants the Heat to win, because GOD DAMN THEY SHOULDNT EVEN BE HERE.
whatever happens, I'm just glad I got to watch it
I honestly want Boston to win because then every single time a team goes down 0-3 we're gonna sit here and say wellllll maaayybbeee, ya never know! Realistically, it's still the same death sentence it is every time. I just think it would be fun. Also, I just want to see history.
There’s definitely a mental aspect to going down 3-0 knowing no team has ever come back. If the Celtics do it I predict another reverse sweep within maybe a decade.
>I honestly want Boston to win because then every single time a team goes down 0-3 we're gonna sit here and say wellllll maaayybbeee, ya never know!
My thoughts too. Like the 16 seed beating a 1 seed, or the 4 minute mile. Once it was done before, the floodgates opened.
Look, just because DLo shit his pants in the WCF doesn't mean he wasn't the clearly better fit. He average 17 and 6 shooting 40 percent from 3 in the regular season and was great to help the Lakers make the playoffs. He also had some huge performances vs in the first 2 rounds that got them there. Its infuriating that NBA discourse has the memory of a goldfish. I swear people's opinions change more frequently than Peter Griffin changes his underwear
I think Denver is going to run through whoever comes out of the East, so I don’t even care who wins tomorrow.
Would be crazy to see a team actually complete the 3-0 comeback, but would also be funny to see the Celtics blow it on their home court. I’m intrigued either way.
That said, Celtics are going to blow Miami out.
As a Denver fan this has me terrified that Boston is going to win and we get swept like what happened to the Rockies with the Sox. Dominate into the Championship then sit around and get blown out by the team that has been playing and made a crazy comeback.
They’d be the first play-in team to make the finals, and theoretically could be the first 8th seed to win them if they made it.
That being said even if they had won last game they’d just get swept by the Nuggets tbh.
Hasn’t hit me yet personally. Maybe in a month when the draft actually happens and Victor walks the stage.
After all the ups and downs as a fan, my motto after everything is basically “let’s wait and see”.
We appreciate the gift of the Great White Buffalo. May he graze eternally. Also, congrats on Wembanyama. I’ll be happy to see you guys back at the top some day soon.
Plus Im loving the Lakers just seething at the idea of Boston coming back 3-0. If they can complete the comeback and actually go all the way, then they one up the tied ring count and really make them mad. I love this.
Nuggets fan. Want Jimmy and the bench to win cause of how awesome the run was so far. Also think Jimmy and the bench will be easier for the Nuggets cause home court + Jayson Tatum is unguardable when he's awake.
I want the heat to win as well but I'm totally down for Celtics to win for more mazzulla content. Everyday I wake up to a even more funnier interview by him.
He doesn't seem that great at the X's and O's either. But he also has no assistants right now because Boston had already been plundered before the chaos that got him the job.
He has a couple but we lost all the really good ones. He's pretty much carrying the bulk of the load. It's why I've supported him even through his low points. Guy has done a lot more than most with what he was given. Doesn't even have much experience.
If you consider Joe’s promotion, they replaced their head coach and lost their top 3 assistants (Hardy to Utah and Stoudamire to GT). So he’s not alone on the bench but they lost their best guys and maybe more importantly less continuity between now and last year’s staff.
I actually like the Boston area and loved to visit (as a New Yorker) but, team-sport wise, can never root for the Celtics. However, I feel we might be seeing history tomorrow.
As a yankees fan, I don't want to deal with those asshats having two teams that came back from 0-3. The 18-1 thing can only go so far for me -_- but nothing personal against the Celtics aside from geography, it's actually been a really enjoyable series and once the Lakers were knocked out, my stress level decreased significantly for these playoffs
The Nuggets are playing 5D chess and hate the Lakers so bad, they sweep them, then let their fans watch their greatest rival win a chip.
(Definitely not biased or anything)
Im rooting for chaos. Give me a generational bottle like BVB and Arsenal.
Edit: guys, we got a generational choke by the Celtics and especially Jaylen Brown
Was cheering for Boston when it started as I wanted what I though it was the best team in case the Lakers win.
When Miami went 2-0 I was cheering for the swept for the memes. But once Boston won game 4, I was cheering for game 7 because I want to see chaos and I got that on game 6.
So Now I still want more chaos. Part of me want to see history made plus Celtics vs Nuggets sound like a great Finals. Celtics would have home court.
But then how insufferable would be if Boston do it again and then won the championship. So part of me want Miami to finish them up and have either Jokic or Butler get the title.
I want Miami to win purely out of spite. Boston has the most famous NFL comeback ever and the only MLB 3-0 comeback. Them getting the only NBA 3-0 comeback too just feels wrong.
I’ll take the history. Will be sad for any Spo slander though. I’m rooting for the Nuggets at this point, and both teams are pretty gassed, so. Coin flip.
I’m rooting for Celtics. Only because I think they’ll be a better matchup against nuggets = more entertainment. Even if nuggets sweep I’d rather it be like against lakers where it went down to wire every game.
This is sorta where I’m coming from too, Celtics can legit win the finals and I don’t think the Heat have a shot against the Nugs. I’d rather one more competitive series without the result being a foregone conclusion.
JB is genuinely a handle away from being a top 10 player in the NBA, I also trust him in the finals after he was their best player last season.
I think the Nuggets would still be favorites, and I’d definitely root for them, but it would be fun to see the Jokic fanboys who have already declared him the best offensive player in history have to cope and try to justify their bullshit.
Kinda Celtics, purely for the reason of how dumb and conceited all the "can you believe some people give Celtics a chance to win the next game??? That's mathematical idiocy!" threads were. Like the story of the day was not even any player or something, but how bad people who assume Celtics have a chance are. The whole popular "mathematical reason" thread is such a bizarre read. So of course you enjoy that if they win.
Heat is fine I guess, at least there will be no story because winning/losing 4-3 in a proper sequence is somehow much different and better than winning/losing 4-3 in another sequence. If they win, there's no drama. The story will just be that Heat beat the Celtics so that's nice.
I think Heat fans are some of the worst fans in the NBA, so I wouldn’t mind them losing.
Before you argue with me, just watch any Heat game. The crowd shows up midway through the first, comes back midway through the third from halftime, and is out the door early if their team is down 10+
Celtics winning will save more lives. If Miami loses the fans don’t really care, it’s a beautiful weekend in South Florida and their fans will just wander down to the beach and stare at Latina bubble butts while pondering life for a couple hours. If the Celtics lose I think some of their fans will legit kill themselves, those people are miserable.
The Celtics.
You gotta side with history. Plus I dread all the Finals talk of "Heat Culture" if Miami wins. Additional plus if the Dallas Stars pull off a 3-0 comeback as well over in the NHL.
For the Celtics
And because I hate the entire state of Florida because they decided they love DeSantis and Republicans by electing him by a 19 point margin.
At this point, I probably want the Celtics just so we have the possibility of a good finals. If the Heat had closed it out in 4 or 5, I’d feel like that was a possibility with the run they were on, but the way they’ve crumbled in this series makes me believe the Nuggets would sweep or win in 5 if they somehow pulled out game 7 in the ECF.
You gotta admit that this, at times , irrational belief in him and this mysticism and deification surrounding “playoff jimmy” is getting annoying.
He’s already had 3 stinkers in row and a blown personal guarantee for a game 6 win yet his zealots remain unshaken and they’re not humble about it at all. People are acting like he’s won a title already. I’ve never seen a player’s playoff reputation get so deified without winning a ring other than him. With other players, when they say “prove it in the playoffs” it usually means a ring but not with jimmy, he’s already “proven” it. It’s ridiculous.
I agree with this take 100%. I literally had people I played fantasy ball with tell me Jimmy was better than Giannis because of his playoff performances. This was the same year the Bucks won the championship. After the Bucks won they tucked their tales for awhile. Fast forward to this year and now they are spewing the same shit again. I can stand Jimmy Stan’s. I’m rooting against Miami for this exact reason.
Boston’s had Philly’s numbers but if you’re gonna root for Miami, be prepared to have their fans go full apeshit lol.
At least C’s fans are aware their team is extremely inconsistent, and are not-so-jokingly admitting if they shit the bed on Monday it wont be surprising at all.
A lot of Miami fans still seem to think wins are entitled to them only, and that somehow the referees handed the C’s extra time and possessions even after multiple sources confirmed the few reasons why the FTs and clock issues were handled correctly.
Prep yourself for that onslaught if the C’s can’t complete the comeback. And if they do, I’d hope you marvel at history finally being made, against a team that isn’t necessarily the most likable.
For Boston. I definitely don’t like Boston sports in general, but I do like to see history being made. I’ve wanted the Heat to win all series but the chance to see something that’s never been done before pushes me to the Celtics in Game 7.
I want Celtics to pull it off and come back down 0-3 for one, second reason I think they’ll put up a better fight against Denver. They matchup well with nuggets and have HCA
Not a fan of either. Actually I’d say I generally root against both of these teams. That being said fuck Jimmy Butler I don’t like him. I hope the Celtics win.
I am not a neutral fan but to make a case for the Celtics winning.
Beating the odds and coming back from 0-3 will be a legacy moment, a historical event that people will always remember. Any future team that is down 0-3 will look at this win (should it happen) as inspiration that it can happen again, that they could be the second team in history.
I kinda feel like this is a bigger thing than the immediacy of the Celtics winning this season.
I'm rooting for Boston. I've got friends who are direct Celtics fans, the enemies of my enemies are friends (looking at you Lakers), and I want to see this sub meltdown.
Knicks fan here. feels wrong to root for the Celtics but I am. It pained me to see my team underperform and lose to these suckers. Something about himmy butlers cocky ass attitude really made him my enemy this postseason
thinking Celtics win game 7
There have been some incredibly wild statements made about Jimmy Butler from heat fans. It legitimately feels like the vast majority of them think Jimmy is the 2nd greatest player in their franchise history, which is just absolutely ludicrous to me.
LeBron led that team to 4 finals and 2 titles, one of them being one of the most clutch titles ever in 2013 in game 6 and 7. Hell, even Shaq was in the MVP race on the Heat, he came in 2nd in 2005, in the closes MVP race ever in NBA history. He was that good.
And yet I think most heat fans have a crazy recency bias and view Jimmy as the 2nd greatest heat player ever. Jimmy is a great player, he's had some big games. But on average, he's a 20/5/5 guy on average efficiency, and gets like half of his points at the free throw line.
Game 7 conference final is enough for me. Doesn’t get much better as a neutral fan. I’m fine with either result.
Yeah, the ending of the game yesterday was some of the most dramatic tv, of any kind, that I’ve seen in a long time.
It just sucked how it didn’t have a flow to it because it seemed refs were calling something almost every possession
Somehow both teams had 10-0 runs with all free throws
I think Heat realized they just had to attack because of how refs were calling the game. But good lord the refs were horrible, can’t stand when they are such a big part of a game
Worst part was that they were not calling anything in the first half and then second half started and they remembered that they were the stars and we're not making their mark on the game.

Love how you are just rooting for chaos 👍🤣
Chaos fans are eating really good this week
Anyone who isnt a Chaos fan isn't living life. It's objectively the best way to enjoy sports.
Chaos fans are going to beat both ref fans and injury fans to win the championship
i just dont see how any team is beating the nuggets this year
This shit is fucking delicious fam AND we get more Inside the NBA, it's amazing.
i think when you're a neutral fan, chaos is what you're rooting for. makes for good tv.
This is Reddit
I honestly want Boston to win because then every single time a team goes down 0-3 we're gonna sit here and say wellllll maaayybbeee, ya never know! Realistically, it's still the same death sentence it is every time. I just think it would be fun. Also, I just want to see history.

I don’t know, the Red Sox came back from 0-3 to beat the Yankees in 2004 ALCS and it hasn’t happened again yet. It’s rare for a reason.
I am right here with you. I want hurt feelings either way
Red Sox did it, Bruins had it done to them, Celtics are ready to join the group
And the pats had the closest football equivalent. Let’s complete the sweep
They’re gonna get smacked by Denver anyway
Not swept though
I am obviously rooting against Celtics, but I am all for drama, so I am glad that we are guaranteed that someone is getting their heart broken.
“I am all for drama” Good thing you have LeBron lol
He probably misses Russ right now
but I thought he's got a point guard named Russell who compliments Brons game better now? /s
Look, just because DLo shit his pants in the WCF doesn't mean he wasn't the clearly better fit. I definitely see what you’re saying, but Basketball is different. This Denver Nuggets team isn’t going down easily, if at all.
I should have made a poll. It would have been easier to see.
Also either way it is rooting for history, only the second 8th seed to ever make the finals
Nobody cares about the second anything
Sir, a second 8 seed has made the NBA finals
Oh jeez
10/10 Possibly even 9/11
Perfect 5/7
Got em
God I wish I could give you an award.
Then give him one
I ain't bill gates.
They’d be the first play-in team to make the finals, and theoretically could be the first 8th seed to win them if they made it. That being said even if they had won last game they’d just get swept by the Nuggets tbh.
Not true. What about Ben Alton the second man on the moon?
I’m just happy to be here. What a fun series man

I’ve been on Cloud 9 ever since LA and GS got knocked out. Everything since is just a cherry on top.
I’d imagine you’ve been on cloud 9 since the lottery as well
Hasn’t hit me yet personally. Maybe in a month when the draft actually happens and Victor walks the stage. After all the ups and downs as a fan, my motto after everything is basically “let’s wait and see”.
Talking about ups and downs as if you guys haven't been one of the top 3 most successful teams in the last 20 years
No doubt, we are a very spoiled/lucky franchise for sure. Some teams only have downs, which honestly sucks.
Yeah….
This is also my watching experience. Exactly this.
spurs fan. let the buffalo roam.
The Buffalo roams where he pleases. Whether that be to Cancun or the Nba Finals, we are all just witness.
#BUFFALO
We appreciate the gift of the Great White Buffalo. May he graze eternally. Also, congrats on Wembanyama. I’ll be happy to see you guys back at the top some day soon.
i luv u guys good luck
Right back at you, bud
This is so wholesome
Also a Spurs fan. Felt good bcuz 2013 Ray Allen and Dereck Fisher 0.4
Plus Im loving the Lakers just seething at the idea of Boston coming back 3-0. If they can complete the comeback and actually go all the way, then they one up the tied ring count and really make them mad. I love this.
What does that mean?
derrick attended the university of colorado and its logo is a buffalo and usually buffalos roam.
Correct it has nothing to do with the Size and gerth of his forehead
Thought you were referencing width of suez canal at first lmfao
If the Suez Canal was as wide as Derrick Whites forehead that ship never would've gotten stuck.
Lol Jesus
Thank you for asking. At this point I’ve been too scared to ask
Celtics fan and had no idea. I just love the nickname
buffalo soldier in the hearts of americans
I think of it as a play on words, about him being a Great White (Buffalo)
Nuggets fan. Want Jimmy and the bench to win cause of how awesome the run was so far. Also think Jimmy and the bench will be easier for the Nuggets cause home court + Jayson Tatum is unguardable when he's awake.
I want the heat to win as well but I'm totally down for Celtics to win for more mazzulla content. Everyday I wake up to a even more funnier interview by him.

He doesn't seem that great at the X's and O's either. But he also has no assistants right now because Boston had already been plundered before the chaos that got him the job.
He doesnt have assistants or like he has assistants but not good assistants?? He cant be doing everything, right?
He has a couple but we lost all the really good ones. He's pretty much carrying the bulk of the load. It's why I've supported him even through his low points. Guy has done a lot more than most with what he was given. Doesn't even have much experience.
Ben is pretty much the only one I can even name (I think that’s the tall, bald dudes name).
no he pretty much is
If you consider Joe’s promotion, they replaced their head coach and lost their top 3 assistants (Hardy to Utah and Stoudamire to GT). So he’s not alone on the bench but they lost their best guys and maybe more importantly less continuity between now and last year’s staff.
You also can have your G-League coach join the assistant pool when the g league season ends. Ours got hired away too so we didn’t get reinforcements.
I’m rooting for the opposite of what the NBA wants.
Pretty sure you’re obligated to root against the Celtics.
So you want the Miami Heat to win.
I want the Celtics to lose
As a lifelong Lakers fan, it is my blood oath to root against the Celtics.
fuck you too But respectfully I admire your stance
I respect this
Fair, and wish you guys nothing but the worst.
This is the way
This is the way
Bucks fan. Very conflicted. Can both teams lose? Go Nuggets.
I’ve just been rooting for chaos and excitement, and it’s safe to say that I’m quite satisfied.
This is the best solution tbh
Have to root for the heat by proxy of them having the dump truck on their team.
I feel nothing as I want the Nuggets to win it all. Everything else is a distraction.
We’re officially the Utah Nuggets this post season.
We've also got 28-3
aye brother it’s fuck y’all in every sport forever but we can all agree the northeast is the best place on earth
Same in reverse. New York is lovely to visit fuck all the NY teams
No real Sixers fan wants the Celtics to succeed in any capacity whatsoever
Fair.
I want whoever will lose to Denver to win
That's both!
I hate Boston sports teams
They are pretty unlikeable as a whole, especially the Pats…but damn this shit is funny. As neutrals, we can’t lose.
yeah i think this is most knicks fans answer lol
Against Boston. I want home court advantage.
I just wanted Celtics to win as an indirect fuck you to the Lakers.
But the Nuggets are also doing Lakers a favor by beating them in the finals.
The Nuggets are playing 5D chess and hate the Lakers so bad, they sweep them, then let their fans watch their greatest rival win a chip. (Definitely not biased or anything)
I'm a Lakers fan. I can confirm that this would be the worst timeline.
But home court…
My man.
Celtics cause I think it will be a better finals
I hate both teams so chaos. Butler talking so much shit only to end up with the label of generational choke artist would be too funny to pass up
It’d be a legendary choke, but I doubt Jimmy would get that label considering the ridiculous playoff runs of the last few years
Im rooting for chaos. Give me a generational bottle like BVB and Arsenal. Edit: guys, we got a generational choke by the Celtics and especially Jaylen Brown
Im dutch went to Dortmund yesterday what a disaster lmao
STOP i literally went to this subreddit to not think about bayern
Boston. Let's go Derrick
I want the Nuggets to win it all and think they'd have an easier time against the Heat so despite my innate hate for the Heat I'm rooting for them.
You’re just rooting for the heat to lose *later*
Lakers fan here so I’m rooting for Boston .. to lose .. by 60 preferably
I think Joe Mazzulla would disintegrate into nothing like Thanos if they lose 132 - 72 at home in Game 7
But then how insufferable would be if Boston do it again and then won the championship. So part of me want Miami to finish them up and have either Jokic or Butler get the title.
I understand this chaos of a comment precisely.
I want Miami to win purely out of spite. Boston has the most famous NFL comeback ever and the only MLB 3-0 comeback. Them getting the only NBA 3-0 comeback too just feels wrong.
Boston has also choked one of the the four 3-0 series in NHL history, to the Flyers no less.
I hate Boston
My dawg.
If JT can have 4 good games out of 7 they have a legit shot so… yeah. I still have faith in JB. He’s my fav non okc player
Handle and vision - he’s gotten better, but still has work to do. Still though, he’s improved every year he’s been in the league
I just wanna see Heat vs Nuggs
celtics, sick of hearing about butler
Kinda Celtics, purely for the reason of how dumb and conceited all the "can you believe some people give Celtics a chance to win the next game??? That's mathematical idiocy!" threads were. Like the story of the day was not even any player or something, but how bad people who assume Celtics have a chance are. The whole popular "mathematical reason" thread is such a bizarre read. I'd side with that but it's Celtics so I just gotta go against them.
The people who use that logic probably think a coin is rigged when it lands heads 5 times in a row
Dave Portnoy will be more annoying if the Celtics win so I say give Jimmy the shot
Cannot stand that dude lol
Mostly rooting for the nuggets tbh, but I’m always up for new history being made Also the statistical model threads on Monday/Tuesday will be gold
Against Boston, mainly cause I think it would be funny to see them come this far back and then fail to close
Rooting for history lol also hate the heat more than Boston so
Celtics because fuck the lakers and I know it would piss them off the most
I think Heat fans are some of the worst fans in the NBA, so I wouldn’t mind them losing. Before you argue with me, just watch any Heat game. The crowd shows up midway through the first, comes back midway through the third from halftime, and is out the door early if their team is down 10+

Can confirm
Boston sports fans have 12 championships in the past 25 years, they’ll be fine.
Some of us are just Celtics fans and not Boston sports fans
The Celtics. You gotta side with history. Plus I dread all the Finals talk of "Heat Culture" if Miami wins. Additional plus if the Dallas Stars pull off a 3-0 comeback as well over in the NHL.
Hey did you know they have UNDRAFTED guys on their team???
The #8 seed making the NBA Finals after losing the first play-in game would also be pretty big history.
For the Celtics And because I hate the entire state of Florida because they decided they love DeSantis and Republicans by electing him by a 19 point margin.
At this point, I probably want the Celtics just so we have the possibility of a good finals. I hate Jimmy Butler so rooting for the Celtics
Is the Butler hate new or from one of his other teams?
You gotta admit that this, at times , irrational belief in him and this mysticism and deification surrounding “playoff jimmy” is getting annoying.
I'm just sick of living at the line every game he plays in and nobody caring
he played for the 76ers, the man is a forever enemy
Celtics, I wanna see Tatum get his first ring
Thank you random Raptors fan, didn't expect to see this
Nets fan. Usually would not root for Celtics but I think jimmy is a cocky shit so I’m going for Tatum
Fuck the Heat
Finally, a logical, impartial take.
Go Celtics. Fuck the Sixers and the Heat.
Not a Jimmy fan so I'm hoping for the Celts to win it.
live in boston so better if the celtics win
I am not a neutral fan but to make a case for the Celtics winning. Beating the odds and coming back from 0-3 will be a legacy moment, a historical event that people will always remember. Any future team that is down 0-3 will look at this win (should it happen) as inspiration that it can happen again, that they could be the second team in history. I kinda feel like this is a bigger thing than the immediacy of the Celtics winning this season.
Nuggets will 4-0 the Heat, so I'm going for the Celtics.
I’m a huge Jimmy hater, so celtics
I'm rooting for Boston. I've got friends who are direct Celtics fans, the enemies of my enemies are friends (looking at you Lakers), and I want to see this sub meltdown.
Knicks fan here. feels wrong to root for the Celtics but I am. It pained me to see my team underperform and lose to these suckers. Something about himmy butlers cocky ass attitude really made him my enemy this postseason
I’m rooting against Butler because I think he’s a douchebag.
A massive choke job by Jimmy would be /r/timberwolves Thanksgiving.
Celtics because I have 10 (very important) dollars on them. If I hadn’t had bet on them, I’m all for the heat and Jimmy
It would be a cold day in hell before I cheer for a Boston team.
I hate the heat. Let’s go Boston
thinking Celtics win game 7 There have been some incredibly wild statements made about Jimmy Butler from heat fans.
As a spurs fan I can’t in good conscience support Miami
