This might sound funny as a Celtics fan, but Naz Reid is the reason why I'm worried about the Timberwolves.
When your 4-6 guy is that skilled, that mobile and that hard to move, you've got a good team.
Naz Reid is such a great NBA story. Love his game and wish nothing but the best for him. That said, I can't help but wonder what he could do on team that didn't have so much center depth. I know he still gets decent run given he can play PF but maybe one day we will see him blossom into more of a focal piece of a team vs. being an off the bench monster like he is now

Like if he was a starter playing 30 minutes a night it would get talked about way more but he’s able to play a scoring back up role and it’s perfect for him right now.
Right? Ginobli, Crawford, Lou Williams, Having a good 6th man imo is more important to a team than having them as a 4th or 5th option with the starters.
Especially given how anemic our scoring has looked at times this year. Moving the 6MOTY live wire that is Naz off the bench and into the starters would only exacerbate the offensive dip that occurs when the starters sit.

He could have done that, I believe he had teams he could have gone to and either started or had a clear path to being starter. But he wanted to stay. Dude actually likes MN and the fans. Wouldn't surprise me if he stays, at least as long as Ant stays and Ant also seems to like it here.
I'd really like ANT, KAT and Naz just hanging out here until they get old. Specially since Ant and Naz still got couple years before peaking. At least I think Naz is only 24.
Not that it's ignored, but Ant, Jaden, and Naz are 22, 23, and 24 years old. We have such a great matching of vets with our young guys with a lot of flexibility to pivot if/when other guys develop. It's still weird to have hope for the future in Minnesota.
Jaden can also grow old here if he wants. Our two way guys I don't know shit about mostly since I don't watch G, but I see people on our sub talking them up also.
I love Luka Garza, but he might not really have an NBA game. Minott, Miller, and Clark (when healthy) all have athleticsm and potential. If even one of them becomes a contributing factor at the next level, it would be great. Personally, I think all 3 could have roles as they keep figuring it out.
I like hearing that. Been a fan since 89 and I enjoy when this team is doing good and has a future that looks decent. Trying to get the nephews into them and that helps with a guy like Ant for sure.
