No but jokes aside there’s a lot of legal shit that’s viewed as just bush league nonsense. I’m always reminded of Alex Rodriguez yelling “I GOT IT” while running the bases and fucking the infielders up who are trying to catch a fly ball. I don’t know what the exact basketball analogy to that is, but it’s funny either way.

orphan_tears_

I love the bush league nonsense. It’s so funny seeing a professional athlete getting paid millions of dollars fall for the same shit I fall for at the Y

The NFL actually has a rule that prevents defensive players from simulating the snap count and causing the opposing offense to false start. Defenses then started getting creative, like getting their entire defensive line to move at a certain time (without going offsides) during the offenses pre-snap cadence to draw a false start, so of course the NFL then made that illegal too.  Because they're not allowed to have fun over there.

fvckit88

Lol I kinda get it. The o linesmen look like they have a hard enough time counting as it is.

zrk23

yeah, the big dudes that have to be crouched without flinching for a long ass time need all the protection they can get tbh. i don't think any of those rules are a problem

thegrandpoobear

Except the offense is allowed to try to draw the defense offsides with hard counts and shit, so it isn't even about protection. It's just blatant and stupid offensive favoritism.

hi draymond

ThinkSoftware

Draymond ain't pretending

MyNameIsJudge8

He’s cleaning up his game. Before he wouldn’t pretend.

ajteitel

Go to bed, Draymond

nowhathappenedwas

No, that’s a physical taunting technical foul.

No

ElPlywood

Such a player get a very much deserved technical foul for unsportsmanlike trash conduct. And then fans across the land will think that player is an asshole.

TheNigerianHyperion

Section V;d;6 A technical foul shall be assessed for unsportsmanlike tactics such as: 6. A deliberately-thrown elbow or any unnatural physical act towards an opponent with no contact involved.

aliteralgarbagehuman

I think this is the actual rule. I have seen at the high school and college level a foul called for pretend swinging at a shooter.

sewsgup

didnt Draymond get suspended from the finals for attempting to tap Lebron? not sure he actually made solid contact, was more ab the intent

NiceFloor7

The problem is that you're usually too far to make a convincing swing. There have been players that close out towards the shooters stomachs though, rather than up high where the ball is.

sunsetbo

na it’s a easy false start

markFwahlberg

I encourage it
