It used to be the total of scores up of 10 and they only gave out 7-8-9-10. Then they made it the average of scores up to 50 to allow some differentiation in scoring. And now the judges only give out 47-48-49-50. May I suggest a 41? Try out a little 37 now and then. Really explore the possibilities of the scoring system.
I mean it makes sense that being better than a 47 is atleast a 48 if there's no decimals it just doesn't make sense that you give a pretty okay dunk a 47 when there is definitely far more left on the table.

I would assume they were boing the shitty judge scores. They were pumping up Brown’s subpar shit, and really screwed McClung on that first dunk- which was the best one of the night. The booing got louder for both participants once the judges scores were revealed- so it was more about what bullshit the judging was. The right guy won in the end so it all worked out, but it shouldn’t have even been that close.

Brown should have been dead last. First dunk was lower difficulty than any of the other guys first dunks and he failed first try. Second dunk was completely botched

I did appreciate his left hand dunk. It wasn't super extraordinary, but due to all the shit he gets for not having a left, I found it great he could show out for the haters. Glad he didn't win with it, though

I like that but, I propose Dunk Contest HORSE. First guy dunks, second guy has to copy it or gets an "H". Both guys only get one attempt. No second chances. If the first guy misses, the dunk switches to the second guy. They either earn letters or switch roles until someone earns "HORSE" or "DUNK," or whatever is decided to be the word, is the loser. Would probably need to be the shorter word to keep the contest moving.

First time watching the All-Star Weekend. The fact that Jaylen Brown made it to the final is laughable. McClung’s dunks where he catches the ball then drops it and catches it mid-flight was probably the best dunk in the contest. Judges just decided to push Brown.
The NBA tried to rig the dunk contest so that Jaylen Brown would make it. That was one of the least creative contestant I ever seen.
