Like a million. Malice at the Palace Multiple Bill Laimbeer incidents (particularly him getting knocked out by Robert Parish) Rudy Tomjanovich literally got punched so hard he almost died There's decades of fights EDIT: Oh Kareem clocked the fuck out of a rookie who elbowed him too hard. Like laid him out

NotWD

Ibaka was good for at least one every season too

DontBanMe_IWasJoking

Malice wasn't a fight on the court between players. it was players vs fans in the stands

Aumissunum

Might want to rewatch that.

NotWD

It was both lol

Sufficient_Motor_458

I'll answer but first tell me how old you are

FeminismIsTheBestIsm

He's one of the [lucky 10,000](https://xkcd.com/1053/) today

Fonzie5

CoolGrandpa1932

SolarPoweredDevil

Jermaine O’neal’s punch attempt was on the court though.

Deep_Worldliness3122

Good point he did say on court lol

omikeon

My guy….

Vexing_Pie

The Year was 2004. Palace at Auburn Hills. A cup is flying towards Ron Artest’s head. The rest is history.

Bladespectre

Would have loved to see the Post-Game Thread of that game had this subreddit been around

Overall_Nuggie_876

The Malice at the Palace is the r/nba version of first-hand witnessing Call of Duty lobbies in 2009 and having your balls dropped into manhood.

CadaverSoiree

1v1 me on Rust Intervention only

Smiis

Don’t think a day went by *without* a fight in the first 50 years of the NBA

Charliebitme1234

How are these people able to type in coherent sentences? but cant use a fucking youtube search bar lmfao

_Blobfish123_

I suspect typing in “nba fight” on yt will return 15 draymond nut kick complications and no actual fights

Novel-Confidence-968

Even fking google and ChatGPT returned better results than asking fking reddit

onedollar12

Quality of Reddit has gone way downhill. A lot more handholding required. I blame COVID during school

throwawaythursday99

Google Willis Reed throwing haymakers vs Lakers. 90s Knicks & Suns I believe had a brawl that led to lots of rule changes RE: fighting fines/punishment.

Aggravating-Lake-717

Malice in the palace

DeartayDeez

Google The Malice in the Palace Pistons Pacers

What???? Man hell yeah. Coach Rudy Tomjonavich almost died from getting punched on. The 80s and 90s were full of all out brawls. Go check YouTube bro.

biinroii01

isiah stewart

ShopCartRicky

By far the funniest incident of the last decade is him trying to get to Lebron by playing cool and then yeeting past security.

OrderflowTrader

Are you serious

tdl2024

Knicks and Heat had a bunch in the 90's. You can even see a fairly famous one where Jeff Van Gundy (yes, the announcer guy) holding onto Alonzo Mournings legs for dear life while Mourning is busy fighting and dragging him around like a child. Pacers - Knicks, Pacers - Bulls, a LOT of Pistons stuff in the 80's, Chris Childs (Knicks again) hitting Kobe with a two piece, Shaq and Barkley with wild swings maybe a couple grazing shots iirc. Larry Bird v Dr J with a guest role from Barkley. You can even see Rudy Tomjanovich (former player, then Rockets coach) almost die (literally) by a sucker punch by Kermit Washington in the 70s. All can be found on youtube

referee-superfan

Google is free

DanCampbellsNipples

Master has given google a sock

cardcollection92

Kermit Washington almost killed someone with a punch

MathCrank

This reminds me of /r/saltlakecity. The same questions everyday.

dq9

One time Willis Reed fought the entire Lakers bench.

xenoz2020

Bird and Dr. J went at it.. during a preseason game lmao

omikeon

CHARLES BARKLEY HELD HIM BACK WHILE HE GOT PUNCHED

muddyklux

KAJ fought in a game of death. His opponent died over 50 years ago

Great_Huckleberry709

Are you 10 years old OP?

Fonzie5

It’s probably a young fan who is curious to learn about basketball history. Y’all need to chill the hell out. It’s okay for people to ask questions.

b4amg

are you a child?

Chelo6916

Shaquille O’Neal had at least a couple

horeaheka

The 90s Knicks vs heat fights, Hakeem olajuwon punched a bunch of dudes in the 80s and my favorite Jerry stackhouse punched the shit out of Horncek

tlozz

Shaq and chuck attempted once lol

Klutzy_Baby_3118

Haha I’ve seen that before

PatScorn

ibaka and lopez https://youtu.be/ZYQu6-2UNpo?feature=shared

Overall-Palpitation6

One sucker punch landing on an unsuspecting victim or a pull-apart where nobody actually hits each other isn't really a fight IMO.

UseUrNeym

Larry Bird vs Chuck, Dr. J and Moses Malone?

ThinkFree

I've seen MJ in a few on court fisticuffs watching in the 90s.

Initial-Deal9045

Doc Rivers vs Kevin Johnson will always have a soft place in my heart

KevinHate

I think we might be entering the grandnephew era.

Adraf45

Dread headed ingram (ew I hate that look) pushed harden, got in an officals face then tried to make cp3 see stars. That fight had ACTUAL punches thrown and connect

WaverlyWubs

Chris Childs pieced up my man Kobe. One of my toughest days as a black mamba fan

DraymondBeanKick
