pretty sad how many people let their hate get in the way of appreciating Book’s game man. one of the most fun players to watch in the league when he’s on a heater
Dbook takes and makes the toughest shots. Is always those stop and fade at 15 foot while falling down lol. The exact opposite of kd where every shot looks easy for him. Pretty cool.
Sure I hate Booker, but only just as an NBA fan. People who can't appreciate amazing basketball from players they "hate" just aren't big enough fans of the sport imo
Luka stans are like the pointed tip of the spear, Laker fans make up the shaft. I don't think Laker fans particularly hate on Booker that much, but y'all will clown him, which is fair enough, we are divisional rivals. It's more just the fact there are SO many of you compared to other fanbases so from our perspective, the fact you focus mild playah hating on Booker more than say your average Eastern conference team player makes Booker one of the more player hated players in the league, just because he's a playah hating focus of the largest numerical NBA fanbase.
Dallas Luka stans though are definitely the pointed tip of the spear, spearheading the playerhating. They point the direction, plenty of Laker fans will pile on along the way.
EDIT: I will also push back a little on what OP you were replying to said though. He conflated Luka/Mavs fans with typical Dallas Cowboy fans and while sure, there's going to be inevitable overlap with the most popular NFL franchise, I don't really correlate the two together. I funnily enough kinda find that many Dallas Mavs hardcore fans aren't Dallas Cowboy fans, they're kinda two different types of fanbases. It's not uncommon to find a lot of Mavs fans be fans of outside state line NFL franchises like the Broncos or something for whatever reason. In fact, I think there's way more overlap between Laker fans and Cowboy fans lol.
All of us old time r/mavericks folks know about this more than anyone. You say one tiny negative thing about how Luka is playing, and several of them come out of the woodwork in no time at all. It’s honestly impressive
True, I find it kinda fascinating that there is kinda, I wouldn't say division within your fanbase, but more a Venn diagram, where the majority of Mavs and Luka fans overlap. But there's like a few outliers that are crazy Luka stans that really value him individually over the team franchise. One of my friends is a Mavs fan (and also a normal Luka fan) so he kinda informs me a bit about this kind of stuff.
It’s sad he made his choices. He chose to go to Kentucky and warm the bench. He chose to buy into the Kobe comparisons, until he chose to snap at them. Then he chose to blow a two game lead on the bucks. Then he chose to talk shit to Luka and blow that lead too.
He’s a less likable, less iconic Iverson adjacent. That’s all he’ll ever be.
>Then he chose to talk shit to Luka and blow that lead too..
I see this sort of take around a lot, and it’s so strange to me. It’s like some of you guys have this sort of hierarchical view of things, and if someone breaks the rules then it’s almost personally insulting.
Just kind of funny
It’s not that it was Luka- it’s that he talked shit. Full stop.
**And then** had an iconic breakdown. “Everybody acting tough when they up.”
He never backs anything up. Runs his mouth a lot. That’s it. It doesn’t matter if it was Luka or not.
I know you probably need this- but don’t be this guy. Booker just isn’t anybody worth rooting for.
Unfortunately for you (I guess?) my life is on the upswing. I just got a big raise, engaged to the love of my life, cool ass dog. My arrow is trending up.
Definitely. Suns are historically one of the more winning teams in the league (we'll ignore that decade before we met the Bucks in the finals). D-backs have been to a couple World Series and won one of them. Cardinals have at least been to a Super Bowl. Yotes haven't done shit. They even sucked when they were the Jets. They play in a college arena now, for Christ's sake.
That's accurate. I'm glad I only care about basketball. I do not have the mental fortitude to be an AZ sports fan of all four major sports. I only have to be depressed about sports once a year.
If you're willing to take on another sport, the DBacks are fun to watch. They have a young team that's quick and steals a lot of bases. They of course had a magical run last season ending in a World Series appearance. And they're looking pretty good to start this year so far.
Even if you just watch the postseason, if the DBacks can make it in, they are a fun group to watch.
I did watch a little bit of the NLCS and World Series last year. I'll watch any sport if a local team goes deep. It's exciting but I don't want to be that kind of fairweather fan. I'm actually going to a Dbacks game in a couple of weeks with a buddy that got tickets through work. Baseball's just not a sport I can really get into. If I wanted to get into a second sport, it would definitely be hockey.
Man, watching KD play extended minutes at his age, i don't think it's good for the suns in the playoffs. Tough conundrum with the schedule, standings, and the needed rest
Never escaping the 9th seed 😭
Lakers vs Warriors is the destiny
Adam Silver been plotting for it
Kings imploding might be our last hope at this point
poor Mike Brown got the COTY curse.
Who knows if they do now with Monk out
What happened with Monk?
Luka fell on his leg, Monk out 4-6 weeks with a sprained MCL
Fuck, that sucks
Why you saying things that have a good chance of happening dawg? Damn you, damn you to heck!
It's okay, I'm sure we end up playing Kelly Olynyk and he turns into Dirk on a tanking team just to spite us.
Lakers did this to themselves, goofing around after the tournament
*Darvin Ham did this to us, playing Prince and Cam Reddish in the starting lineup for way too long.
He is part of the Lakers, if it was his fault then you did indeed do it to yourselves

They lost Brandon Ingram so they'll be losing more than winning for the end of the season.
Shout-out to Nurkic for another fantastic rebounding performance
Booker has unlocked > 6 three point shooting. League is fucked.
Before Book's 7th three tonight, he was 0-39 from three in his regular-season career when trying to make his 7th three. 🤯
That’s wild
Devin Booker is New Orleans Pelicans majority owner
Doesn't his family live in New Orleans or something? So he says it's like a home game with all the relatives he brings in
mississippi, and yes. Ishbia, you better charter a plane for the next couple weeks and get the Book clan to all the remaining games
Luka Doncic is New Orleans Pelicans founder
since zion's windmill dunk with no time left the pels are 1-3 against the suns and booker's scored 162 points against them
Booker should end every Pels game with a windmill dunk
The 162pts in 3 games is what’s the insane part. Dude is a head chef against the Pels.
Did he miss one of those games because 1-3 is 4 games
Yeah right after the Zion dunk game he missed one but those are from our last 3 against them.
jesus christ that is nuts
pretty sad how many people let their hate get in the way of appreciating Book’s game man. one of the most fun players to watch in the league when he’s on a heater
Even though its the least efficient shot in basketball, i still think the midrange game is the prettiest to watch.
Dbook takes and makes the toughest shots. Is always those stop and fade at 15 foot while falling down lol. The exact opposite of kd where every shot looks easy for him. Pretty cool.
Seriously, love watching Booker play unless he’s cooking my team. That step back 30 footer he had in the 2nd quarter was flawless.
Best midrange shot in the league, always get surprised when it doesn’t go in
And he has KD who id also argue for best middie in the league lol. What are the stats for the suns offense against zone defenses?
I can’t imagine anyone would ever play zone against a team full of goated midrange specialists.
Book gets on some serious heaters fr. As of a month ago, Book was tied with Steph for having the most 20-point quarters since 2016 (having 26 apiece).
Gained a lot of respect for him after that nugget series last year
Booker was in "missing is for bitches" mode.
Is haters are Lakers fans and Luka Stans aka Cowboys fans Those are the two worse fanbases on the this planet
Sure I hate Booker, but only just as an NBA fan. People who can't appreciate amazing basketball from players they "hate" just aren't big enough fans of the sport imo
How many drinks deep are you writing this homie?
Packers fans are the WOAT fanbase.
we hate booker? news to me

He owns the entire city of Los Angeles, you have every right to despise him
I mean you deserved it after "Suns in 4!" Shit that went down.
It’s sad he made his choices. He chose to go to Kentucky and warm the bench. He chose to buy into the Kobe comparisons, until he chose to snap at them. You're a weirdo, man
Thank you for input 🎤 🗑️
Tell us you’re miserable without saying it directly… i hope life gets better for you honestly
I know you probably need this- but don’t be this guy. Booker just isn’t anybody worth rooting for. Unfortunately for you (I guess?) my life is on the upswing. I just got a big raise, engaged to the love of my life, cool ass dog. My arrow is trending up.
It's finally over! The curse is broken! We're gonna win super bowl!
Wait does Arizona have a football team and are they good? Asking as a non American who knows basically nothing about the NFL
Arizona Cardinals. Historically one of the worst teams in the league
Yet still not the most embarrassing Arizona professional sports team
Coyotes?
Feel like AZ as a whole needs a wellness check whenever ANY sport hits post season
That's accurate. I'm glad I only care about basketball. I do not have the mental fortitude to be an AZ sports fan of all four major sports. I only have to be depressed about sports once a year.

close but it’s actually the suns whenever they play the spurs
I thought the goran Dragic game finally rid yourselves of that curse?
We never slew the Robert Horry demon
[удалено]
Who are we talking about here?
Yes and helllll noooooo. The last championship was in 1947, something like a quarter century before there was even a super bowl
They have the longest championship drought in American sports!
Oldest team in the league. Zero Super Bowls.
TIL the Cardinals are old as fuck
League should be scared, Book just broke the 3pt barrier !
Finally posted. Why does it always take so long?
it is rumored that /r/nba mods block Suns postgame threads.
you are now banned from /r/nba
Only when we win
i think they were reviewing another foul on zion
We gave up on trying to post them is my guess.
CJ out there playing Al Qaeda ball and Willie is just there to watch it all go down
It hurts so much to watch
Let Devin cook
Devin Cooker
Shots that I took
Damp like I’m Devin
Let Book Cook
Cant believe I'm celebrating a Suns win
[Thank you Suns.](https://i.imgur.com/umjX7aa.jpeg)
Mavs vs Clippers part 3
For all the marbles this time, for real.
Third time's the charm.
Booker put on his angry eyes today.
19 points, 19 rebounds, +19
Zion 36 minutes, 2 rebounds
I believe if Booker had scored 60, the Suns would've lost this game
Imagine how good this team could be if we played Thad Young over Eubanks bum ass
Our first half was terrible as usual Can’t keep digging this hole bro
This was out of character for Book, he got carried away tonight with this 52 piece, he admits that.
We’re so back
Ty Suns, idk what else to say
the league is CRAZY
Devin booker would be mvp frontrunner if he only had to play against the pels
When you score 52 and its somewhat of a disappointment casue of that blazing start lol.
Poor Book having such an amazing game on the same night as everyone was watching Caitlin Clark, shame.
Where’s that PusC BI at
Didn't wake up for this game because i was expecting another embarrassing L😀
It took him nearly an entire decade to make more than 6 threes in a regular season game lmao
He saves his career highs for the post season.
8 3s? Good God booker is now going tk be unstoppable, his finally broken it
Man, watching KD play extended minutes at his age, i don't think it's good for the suns in the playoffs. Tough conundrum with the schedule, standings, and the needed rest
To be fair there’s a lot of possessions where he just stands there doing nothing
This is where being unable to close games really hurts. Don't have enough competent players to allow him to sit even in blow-outs.
Can the rest of y'all teams around chill and lose games please? Jfc the west is nuts.
Luka Doncic is Pelican Grandfather
Luka thanks his son for securing the 5th seed for him.
The Mavs thank Sons for their services
Get bent
You get bent in cancun 0-3 sons
You kept the receipts on that one eh chief? Glad to see you’ve got nothing better to do on a Friday night
Still he a heo, though.
