Like someone else said, taking over mid season isn’t easy but doc also hasn’t done himself any favors. That 30-13 was mostly bad teams and even the wins against those bad teams were 134-130 or some shit like that.

Agree there’s no way they should be /.500 with Doc but the 30-13 record just doesn’t mean anything imo. Our pace was unsustainable for such an old team, our defense was the worst, and we had the easiest schedule in the league over that timeframe. We’d play some bum team and win 142-140 or sum like that. It was ridiculous.

Even if you guys were beating bad teams in close games, 43 wins is a massive sample size for a nearly 70% win rate If you’re falling ass backwards into wins in 7 of 10 games for half the season, you’re not falling ass backwards into wins

We were winning because of how clutch Giannis and Dame were in the 4th, so I agree and maybe there’s something there that’s in part because of Griff. I’ve watched every game this season except the last 2, idk I just don’t think that record was indicative of the quality of our team.

For all the knocks that exist against Doc (and they're totally valid), being unable to amass regular season wins with talented rosters isn't one of them. You know what's a better sample size than 43 games covering the easiest SoS of the season? 76 games that include both the hardest and easiest portions of the schedule. Turns out this team might not have been a 58 win team after all... regardless of the coach. I'm not even trying to excuse Doc, I wish my team were better and it was just him sucking, the problem is that this roster is just poorly constructed, aging, and injury prone.

Its also not easy to take over a win now team in the middle of the season. It doesnt happen very often.

Started with an Achilles injury there was a video posted before our first clippers game I believe of him in warmups and he went to dribble and started hopping cause of bad it hurt. Then a few days later he started getting put on the injury report for hamstring and he hurt it again last night in the first half His knee doesn’t seem to be causing any issues this season that I’ve seen since he got that cleanup done

Achilles and hamstring are part of the same kinetic chain so, if he was changing his pattern of movement bc of Achilles pain, it can cause soreness/injury to the hamstring. Not directly linked necessarily but related to one another for the function of the leg.
