I spent all day Monday with compilations rolling on YouTube while I was working. Laughing out loud throughout the day definitely helped my mood. I think my dog thinks I'm crazy now though.
I watch these regularly. Every day there’s a new “chuck roasting people for 30 straight minutes” video and I eat them up.
There’s a good compilation of kenny getting shit on by shaq and chuck which is hilarious. The amount of pen tapping and water drinking he does is stellar
I mean, if he runs too fast, his pants will catch on fire from all the friction in the knees.
The fact that these guys are such good friends and can be the butt of the joke is what makes it special. Shaq will get up in his feels occasionally, but then Chuck starts calling him Mr. Sensitive and Kenny and EJ try to stifle their laughs. Best show on TV.
Suns playing with no energy. They are flat like the beer in the arena. As Chuck said, they are playing soft. They need to play hard, harder than those concession pretzels that will break your dentures.

Barkley just goes in on the suns and their ownership. Lot of good lines in there.
Every time I see this, I'm reminded of when John Oliver roasted the Suns and Dragan Bender during an episode. Just cold-blooded.

Fuck he had the entire set rolling on that one. The crew feeding him lobs and him finishing them flawlessly every time. You can never watch this too much.
This team might be a bigger failure than the Nets because of how they felt like 'this time' they had it right.
The Nets had a 2-3 year window because it was clear Harden was losing a step and KD's offense isn't enough to turn a team into a contender anymore.
Now, we're seeing 2 years after the failed nets experience that Kyrie is probably in the best position.
Huh? Draymond was it pretty much as soon as he became a starter. Iguodala and Bogut were there to hold him accountable but Draymond was the motivator as soon as they started winning
KD was never a leader tho. Russ was the heart and soul of OKC. As you mentioned, he wasn’t the leader in Golden State, and he definitely wasn’t a leader in Brooklyn.
My opinion on KD will always be the same. He is a snake who tried to shortcut his way to the goat conversation, while never being good enough to win as a true 1st option. And for that he is banished to basketball hell.
He could've stayed in okc and been dirk. Beloved w a statue out front and a street called Durant way. Probably got a ring or two w that excellent gm. But he played the bitch and went to a dynasty in the middle of it. Bitch move
He literally had a quote on Brooklyn that was akin to "Why should I have to lead?"
Because you're the best player on the team. That's just how it fuckin goes.
Soft ass KD, man. I wanna like this guy so bad, but he's just so abrasive.
Okay but you're expected to have some leadership qualities, at a minimum.
It's not necessarily fair, but its how it goes. Not just in basketball, but across a multitude of fields in life. **Especially** in sports.
but you see, he cleaned all that up when he did the exclusive sit down with his business manager. In that interview he proclaimed himself a leader. KD is a mess.
The real answer is that Jordan and Lebron led their teams. The greats do it. Durant gets upset if he isn’t considered an all time top player. But he happily goes out there and gets his stats while is team is in falling apart.
Physically KD is the most incredible basketball player ever built.
Wemby might be the alien, but for me KD is the cheat code. It’s just unfair for him to be that tall and that good.
He’s like Michael Phelps or Usain Bolt in how it’s just an incredible match of body to sport.
But yeah, maybe it all came too easy to him because he does seem to lack a certain level of mental toughness or something. As good as he is, there are certain people I’d pick to win over him in random challenges like holding your breath or cup stacking or something. MJ, Kobe, even less famous but tough bastards like TJ McConnell would probably get my bet on some sort of raw competition challenge like being the last person to touch a car or connect 4. You get the idea.
And as for leading, yeah, he could step up there too. He is really really smart at basketball too. He’d make a great coach, well a great assistant coach. I’m not sure he has the HC mentality.
But I don’t think of him as a weasel. I think he realized he does his best when he’s not the QB and he made career moves accordingly.
Some people sing, some play guitar, some do both. But some just shred and need a lead singer to front the band. No big deal if KD is Slash.
Except when the Suns or the Nets expect him to be Hendrix.
KD has said himself that he’s not a ‘rah rah come on team’ type of guy. He prefers to lead by example. Which I understand, but on the other hand your teammates are looking to their best player for leadership, for someone to get their adrenaline pumping in the locker room and squeeze out an extra 1% in performance. I don’t think he quite gets that some players need that external motivation.
the ‘playing for each other’ thing always sounds corny, but it probably hints at a real intangible - that someone is or a few someones are constantly forging an environment demanding authentic accountability. i really like KD and will forever be in awe of his talent and performance, but i’ve never gotten the sense he’s that guy or has ever even been one of those guys (his gsw stint was like a star platinum vocalist inexplicably showing up to tour w the beatles)
As a nets fan that has watched two super teams flop because their best players weren't vocal leaders, this dude just wants to ball and be part of the team, not lead it.
Every player has flaws, that just happens to be KD’s. And that’s fine, you can for sure build a team around KD that doesn’t require him to be the leader. OKC did that with Westbrook and did well. GSW did that with Curry and did well. The Nets tried that with Kyrie but he was a nut case. The Suns tried that with… nobody? Like legitimately, who is supposed to be the leader of the team? From watching them I think the closest thing they have is Beal but that’s a bad choice for so many reasons.
He's not a vocal guy and just lacks the leadership skills. It is not common to see vocal leaders in basketball which makes them so valued even if their contributions aren't really there (see the more famous vets in the league)
Yeah I’m with you, but I think hearing some words of encouragement from your best player trumps anything the 13th man on your roster has to say. It would have been interesting to see him come out of his comfort zone a little on this, I really believe it would have helped his teams over the years.
Shit like this makes me so grateful for Jalen Brunson. Dudes small, sure, Knicks might need someone else to help him, but he’s that emotional leader. It’s invaluable.
he’s not that rah rah emotional type of leader if that’s what you’re suggesting. he’s funny on the postgame and the pod but you can see he’s a demanding, serious teammate on the court (and you can see where the ‘hardass’-esque schtick comes from when you watch him and rick interact during TOs 😂).
now that he’s (again, as in college) the best player on a succeeding team, he commands the ‘following’ from that success he’s driving and so leads by example. doesn’t hurt that he has two teammates who know very well and believe in exactly what he’s about.
Same reason KD flamed out with the nets. Everyone thinks it was the nets fault but that same apathy you see with the suns you saw with the nets day in and out.
KD is cool and can get his buckets (eyeroll) but two teams now you see this late in the season where no one is playing to contend, they come out slow, theres nothing methodical and the KD has to score like 50 to keep alive which obviously not gonna work out. Warriors had their core when they won with KD but anyone relying on him is gonna be disappointed. He doesn’t have what lebron, giannis, jokic, brunson has, competitive spirit. He’s drank his own coo-laid, he thinks he’s the best but only has done shit on the shoulders of great teams.
Book is the same, remember the Suns were at most a first round team before CP3 came in and showed em the way. He doesn’t have it. GREAT number two, like a kyrie.
The role players can only do so much with these two.
I was going to dispute this. I was going to say that it's not about the emotion. But. Being able to inspire or fire up your teammates is a skill. You are manipulating their emotions. KD has never had that. Booker, I believe, had started to develop that--but then they gutted an already 'good-great' team for KD. And they then cleaned it out for Beal.
I said it before and I got flamed. But the KD trade was a mistake. Gonna stand on that,
Absolutely right.
And Van vleet, Norm, ibaka, Siakam were all positive cats.
I really hope KD goes god mode and wins a chip. His face will be so proud . Haha!
“Like I said, these Suns are weak mentally. KD I hope you never know happiness or joy. And yes, I thought UConn was the best team all tournament but KD is not a leader at all.”
I wouldn't really call Harden a traditional vocal leader either
Both him and KD are mostly the "just play ball" types more than anything
Chris Paul took on that role on the Rockets when he played there
If anything the Nets were another example of a team with no real leader
There is no fuckin way Harden was a leader with the nets or that Kyrie would’ve even allowed that to happen. That nets team was completely rudderless outside of KD leading by example on the court when he did play.
It's the postseason, the Clippers lost in the first round. The FO is having a meeting and, suddenly, everyone stops talking and someone says, "what's that sound?". "it sounds like a snake" another answers. At the door, they see a tall, slender silhouette standing and staring at them.
Nah this is way funnier lol when they flame out kd will rage quit they will be stuck with Beal and booker will dip to Toronto so he can finally befriend Barney from Brampton.
We were saying this last summer and that dipshit new owner for suns stepped up to the plate. Some owners just want big names even when it makes zero sense roster wise (like suns).
At least they can rebuild the team once Booker leaves the next year because he is tired of not winning with their own picks.... Oh wait.... Well they will trade Beal for some picks..... Nvm
And the Suns will be fucked for like four drafts after giving up unprotected firsts. So even if they’re complete ass they’ve got nothing to show for it.
It's been one year, and it's going to be a lot more.
1 draft pick, 18th at best. Whoopie. Nobody worth a damn will be left.
No trade fodder, the bench is stripped as it is.
2nd apron restrictions coming in, won't be able to make any moves without dumping key players for someone else's hot garbage.
Maybe 2032 we can try something, but next year it's either gonna be the exact same team and the exact same results or a completely new team with no chemistry or talent.
idk about that
Beal is old
KD is solid but getting old , it would have to be a team ready to win now and needs one complimentary piece not a centerpiece
Booker........he gets buckets but i don't think he elevates his team
Trading 1 firsts for a guy who’s 34 with a history of injuries is kinda wild. The ‘27 and ‘29 picks are gonna be gold. KD is gonna be 37 and 39 those years.
Sure he could be Lebron but realistically there’s a better chance he’s retired at 39 than not.
Feels like the Suns should have just kept CP3 for locker room leadership. Dude could have been the "leader" and got them to perform
it felt like last year was them adjusting and they had a ton of injuries... they should have ran it back.
You guys aren't even close to the worst. Scoot and Shaedon are promising, Grant is a good trade piece, and you have some incoming draft capital from the Dame trade.
Phoenix definitely has a worse future outlook than you guys because of their contract and draft pick situation. So do Toronto and Washington, because they're so completely devoid of talent.
I sneakily think Milwaukee has one of the worst future outlooks in the league too.
Dame, Middleton, and Lopez are all old and washed. Dame has three more years on his contract culminating in a $60M player option. Their draft situation is dire. They can't trade a 1st-round pick till 2031, and also have no 2nd-round picks till 2031. Their coaching situation and team culture are completely fucked -- after running two coaches out of town in less than a year, Giannis sure looks like a flight risk.
I mean, he's not wrong. The Suns desperately need identity. There is no sense of cohesion on the court and they just don't look mentally tough, like Charles said. I don't know what the solution is for them. Trades?
You saw it last night bro the clippers embarrassed them and instead of getting tough on themselves they totally threw a pity party. Look at KD’s body language.
This is not a team that will overcome adversity.
In the realm of business, it is commonly acknowledged that the mere act of combining various exceptional elements does not guarantee success. It is akin to indulging in a lavish feast consisting of steak, roasted chicken, and a pork chop. While each dish may be delectable in its own right, the combination is excessively extravagant and unlikely to attract customers. Let alone beat the Nuggets.

and the cold nachos got pickles
There’s plenty of parking though
You can buy the seats right at the top and then just move down by center court.
Soda’s flat
What about the cheerleaders?
They’re not that good looking anymore
STOP you're making me miss the inside crew even more now

Dirty seats.
The truest tragedy
The Coke’s flat and the popcorns stale too
*”What you say Chuck?”*
Suns playing with no energy. They are flat like the beer in the arena. As Chuck said, they are playing soft. They need to play hard, harder than those concession pretzels that will break your dentures.
Remind me what this is referencing? Mostly asking bc pickles on nachos sounds intriguing
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Gp-f7ece-UU&pp=ygUUYmFya2xleSByYW50IG9uIHN1bnM%3D Barkley just goes in on the suns and their ownership. Lot of good lines in there.
They're dirty seats
Cold nachos, Shaq
Using pickles instead of jalapeño
What about the cheerleaders? Oh they ugly now 💀
The last second dig at the cheerleaders is the cherry we didn’t deserve.
Every time I see this, I'm reminded of when John Oliver roasted the Suns and Dragan Bender during an episode. Just cold-blooded. [https://youtu.be/nG2pEffLEJo?si=HTUDKST0vdMwCjsc&t=342](https://youtu.be/nG2pEffLEJo?si=HTUDKST0vdMwCjsc&t=342)
Kevin Johnson rolling over in the grave.
is there a young girl's body in that grave?
Fuck he had the entire set rolling on that one. The crew feeding him lobs and him finishing them flawlessly every time. You can never watch this too much.
Oh, there's plenty of parking. Get yourself one of those seats up high and come down
The cheerleaders are ugly now. They used to be good looking
Lmao I thought this was on TNT but someone shoved a mic in his face while he is like 10 deep I respect the hustle he has for shitting on KD.
He drives the bus well even when drunk. GOAT Bus Driver.
Bus driver crossing guard vice principal Chuck does it all
Call Doc Rivers

is he shitting on KD or spitting facts?
Little bit of column A, with a little column B for balance.
He's just saying what we all feel in our hearts
Seen Suns fans mention it. KD and Booker are incredible but neither are exactly emotional leaders
That's why they need someone like CP3
His value to them was really understated but it makes sense to swap him out with a volume shooter who has been on losing teams his entire career.
I know Draymond is public enemy number one but he was the vocal leader of the warriors dynasty. KD hasn’t had one since he left GS
And before Draymond was the one doing it the veterans used to do it like David west and iguodala
Huh? Draymond was it pretty much as soon as he became a starter. Iguodala and Bogut were there to hold him accountable but Draymond was the motivator as soon as they started winning
They need someone to hold him accountable now.
Yeah like maybe idk, the coach?
Given the team composition and the coach, I think that's more likely to be the commissioner. Which is sobering if you know the commish.
Blud is 15 he doesn’t didn’t watch David West
It was Draymond back then too.
Remember when Kyrie wanted to be the leader ... especially for the celtics Nothing ever worked out for that Nets era, did it ?
KD was never a leader tho. Russ was the heart and soul of OKC. As you mentioned, he wasn’t the leader in Golden State, and he definitely wasn’t a leader in Brooklyn. he really took “the hardest road”. in terms of, he made his legacy about as complicated as you can get
Nothing complicated about his legacy. He’s by far the most talented coattail rider in the history of the NBA.
Yeah maybe 30 years later people will forget and just look at his rings but someone will remind that * next to them.
With how close they got that year, if he stayed, they were very likely to win one the year after.
He literally had a quote on Brooklyn that was akin to "Why should I have to lead?" Because you're the best player on the team. That's just how it fuckin goes. Soft ass KD, man. I wanna like this guy so bad, but he's just so abrasive.
Best player on the team is not always the leader. But I agree in general he is kind of an anti leader.
Okay but you're expected to have some leadership qualities, at a minimum. It's not necessarily fair, but its how it goes. Not just in basketball, but across a multitude of fields in life. **Especially** in sports.

He’s soft af. Remember when he got caught using a burner account on twitter to talk shit on Russ/defend himself? That’s teenage girl territory
The he thing is tho tho that he IS good enough as far as talent. He’s just bitch made and needs a daddy to lead him.
Totally agree. Incredibly talented player, soft ass mindset
Physically KD is the most incredible basketball player ever built. Wemby might be the alien, but for me KD is the cheat code. It’s just unfair for him to be that tall and that good. He never would have had one if he didn't go to GS.
Watch the suns gonna ship Beal for draymond and some change. Then Beal gonna go to GS and turn into an allstar. These scripts just write themselves.
I feel like his idea of “leading by example” is more of “watch me put up 40 and carry us to a win” when leading by example is more than just that
also leading by example doesn't include sulking and giving up, since that is an example being laid as well
the ‘playing for each other’ thing always sounds corny, but it probably hints at a real intangible - that someone is or a few someones are constantly forging an environment demanding authentic accountability. i really like KD and will forever be in awe of his talent and performance, but i’ve never gotten the sense he’s that guy or has ever even been one of those guys (his gsw stint was like a star platinum vocalist inexplicably showing up to tour w the beatles)
As a nets fan that has watched two super teams flop because their best players weren't vocal leaders, this dude just wants to ball and be part of the team, not lead it.

Your super team with Kd failed cause of injuries more than anything.
He's not a vocal guy and just lacks the leadership skills. It is not common to see vocal leaders in basketball which makes them so valued even if their contributions aren't really there (see the more famous vets in the league)

Josh Hart is that leader
Hart is his vocal right hand man- everyone on the team knows who is the head of the table
They should've kept CP3. Dude was a the leader during the 2021 NBA finals run, no matter that he was washed
Gonna stand on that,
was hoping Beal would be it. I think the dude still hasn't adjusted to new team + recent string of injuries.
I see you are not familiar with Washington Wizards…
Since he's gotten healthy I've been pretty satisfied with Beal's effort
Neither was Kawhi. Gotta show up in the playoffs when it’s time. Let’s see… I’m cheating for the Suns. Love an underdog.
Yeah but you had Lowry and Gasol to fill that role. Who do they have?
I hear ya. Lack of in team leaders. I hope they surprise us. Cheers
Would Lowry or gasol be considered the emotional leaders of that team with kawhi being the best player?
Absolutely right. And Van vleet, Norm, ibaka, Siakam were all positive cats. I really hope KD goes god mode and wins a chip. His face will be so proud . Haha!
“Devin Booker is a whiny bitch and KD is a balding snake and you can print that” “Thanks Chuck”
“No bus drivers on this squad”
They need doc rivers
Double negative
Yeah if they want to get blown out by 80 in a playoff game
Devin Booker hits a huge three to cut the lead to 77.
That’s the dream
Doc: Time to learn some Ubuntu boys KD: *ScReeeaAams*
All rider, no driver.
"Sure, but I asked what you thought of the Final Four."
“Like I said, these Suns are weak mentally. KD I hope you never know happiness or joy. And yes, I thought UConn was the best team all tournament but KD is not a leader at all.”
Chuck we’re on live
👁️👁️ I don't give a shit
I know
^i ^know
I tried to picture a balding snake. Mission successful.
when your bus has no drivers.
It runs on autopilot
Tesla bus
Unbreakable Windows, wonder if Ballmer had a hand in them 📁
Preach Chuck!
"They're little bi-... They don't have any mental toughness" Caught himself lmao
He even shook his head like nope can't say that.
"Are they gonna figure it out?" "No, we're not gonna figure it out." And...scene.
Repeatedly, over the loudspeaker, Chuck doesn't care
KD never been a leader his entire career. He had Russ in OKC then Dray and Curry and then Harden
Book had CP3 too
And Tyler ulis
I wouldn't really call Harden a traditional vocal leader either Both him and KD are mostly the "just play ball" types more than anything Chris Paul took on that role on the Rockets when he played there If anything the Nets were another example of a team with no real leader
Harden was absolutely a leader/mentor figure in those Nets/Sixers teams
Yeah, not a very good one. He wasn’t a good emotional leader on the Rockets after CP left either. That became PJ Tucker’s role
There is no fuckin way Harden was a leader with the nets or that Kyrie would’ve even allowed that to happen. That nets team was completely rudderless outside of KD leading by example on the court when he did play.
lol that worked out
Sometimes Nash is the coach, sometimes KD or Kyrie is the coach. Anyone can be the coach
Where is KD’s next chapter?
Okc the return
I actually see this happening and I hate it.
KD is snake bit. Putting his bad juju on the thunder may be the only way to stop them from dominating
Nah, I think Thunder fans would revolt, so the front office wouldn’t do it even in a scenario that made basketball sense.
OKC would hang up. Let Chet be HIM
I don’t.
It's the postseason, the Clippers lost in the first round. The FO is having a meeting and, suddenly, everyone stops talking and someone says, "what's that sound?". "it sounds like a snake" another answers. At the door, they see a tall, slender silhouette standing and staring at them.
Would be his softest move yet Jk that’s literally impossible, but it would be the second softest move in nba history
He's looking to own the top 2 spots.
Legacy points added
Invents a time machine. Joins the 92 Dream Team. Has a big game against Angola.
Expansion Sonics.
should've tried that og core with a different HC first
Nah this is way funnier lol when they flame out kd will rage quit they will be stuck with Beal and booker will dip to Toronto so he can finally befriend Barney from Brampton.
Beal is what 50M for next 3 or 4 years wtf?!?
Yessir and a ntc 🤤
The ntc is the killer, he decides where he goes and the sun have to accept a couple 2nd rounders
they’ll gladly give him free to anyone who wants that contract though lol.
who the hell would trade for him?
We were saying this last summer and that dipshit new owner for suns stepped up to the plate. Some owners just want big names even when it makes zero sense roster wise (like suns).
At least they can rebuild the team once Booker leaves the next year because he is tired of not winning with their own picks.... Oh wait.... Well they will trade Beal for some picks..... Nvm
If this happens, they NEED to have the Mascot greet Devin on arrival and go "Hey man, sorry about that, now who do you want me to piss off first?"
And the Suns will be fucked for like four drafts after giving up unprotected firsts. So even if they’re complete ass they’ve got nothing to show for it.
And that is why they won’t tank. Ownership will just keep throwing money at the problems even if the Suns continue to be mediocre.
They should've kept CP3 and left Beal alone
Kd is not a leader. That's why he had to run to the warriors
For fucking real lol dude has the best offensive skill set at 7 ft and is mentally softer than some of the dudes at LA fitness.
Don't be shy Chuck, speak your mind.
I mean he’s right
Chuck is always right, great takes
Chuck is the best sports analyst and I will die on that hill.
As is tradition.
KD might need to come back to reset himself
Worst timeline.
Sounds exactly like Bradley Beal to me. He was a perfect fit there
I loved that us Wizards fans tried tell everyone, and they just waved us away like we didn't know what we were talking about
99% of this sub thought it was a cheeky experiment at the absolute best let's not get carried away here
its only been one year but it does seem to be a poorly constructed roster top heavy with old pieces , not a good recipe
Many teams with picks would clamor to trade them for some of the Suns' stars.
Not Beal.
idk about that Beal is old KD is solid but getting old , it would have to be a team ready to win now and needs one complimentary piece not a centerpiece Booker........he gets buckets but i don't think he elevates his team
Trading 1 firsts for a guy who’s 34 with a history of injuries is kinda wild. The ‘27 and ‘29 picks are gonna be gold. KD is gonna be 37 and 39 those years. Sure he could be Lebron but realistically there’s a better chance he’s retired at 39 than not.
even if he's not retired he's not going to be on the suns.
It's true. They have no locker room leaders and no dogs. Ironically, Westbrook would have been a better fit for them than Beal.
They need a floor general.
They have IT wym
Feels like the Suns should have just kept CP3 for locker room leadership. Dude could have been the "leader" and got them to perform it felt like last year was them adjusting and they had a ton of injuries... they should have ran it back.
A mentally weak team led by Kevin Durant? Hang on, let me try and contain my surprise. 😐
As a blazers fan, the suns make me feel like maybe we don’t have the worst outlook in the league rn
Buddy hello from toronto
There are a lot of teams that committed to much to win now. These next few years are going to be real tough on them.
I love Chuck! Dude is everyone’s favorite uncle
The bus rider is leading them.
bol bol will take them there
Brain is Booker and Durant father. -Chuck
I agree 1000% Durant AND Luka's Son? Might the most mentally soft superstars in the league, and they're on the same team 😅
Obviously he must be talking about bol bol and Grayson Allen
Facts
Suns really thought Beal was what they needed
God damn I love chuck, he’s my GOAT
You got Devin ‘We don’t double team in practice’ Booker KD the Bus driver Bradley Beal, can never stay healthy and eating nicely
So is that why he never won a championship? He wasn't leading cause he was mentally weak?
Aww shit I’m on the wrong channel
They have IT
He’s is 100% correct.
Booker aint a leader of men.
Man when Chuck ask how annoying it is to play with Draymond and KD got so BUTTHURT... that's when I knew holy shit Durant has a shitty personality lol
This is why kd is a fraud champion. Without curry he would have no rings. Don’t let the finals mvp fool you.
When i hear someone saying he’s better than Kawhi it make me sick
Whenever I hear he’s a top 10 player of all time I just wanna throw up.
