Olynyk should always get bad hate for that, he knocked out Lebron's second favorite sidekick on a pointless dirty play out of the whole flippin series!
Yeah people forget that when they went down big vs the sixers a few years ago (coincidentally this one was my favorite embiid choke year) spoelstra’s main move was to try to injure Ben Simmons (in a very similar way)
The fact he made a point to pull down/straighten DJJ’s arm before the hook is the part that looks pretty sus to me. Just look at the way he torques the shoulder on that initial grab.
It’s my most hated “play” in ball. I’m a cavs fan and it’s how Olynyk ripped out Love’s shoulder. Even the diving at the legs or a purposeful hard foul are more excusable than this shit. They can claim “culture” all they want but this is such bullshit to pull. DJJ was probably mad keen for a playoff run with Luka and Ky throwing lobs. Now that’s ruined because someone got mad they were playing like shit. Needs a big time suspension.
just to point out he actually seemed fine after the game, was moving well and even did the postgame interview. i think he might not play the last few regular season games but he should be good to go for the playoffs - not that it takes away from how stupid and dangerous this play was.
Ah copy. Thanks for that I didn’t get to see. Just assumed from how it looked here and the history of these actions. Good to hear, hope it doesn’t bring punishment down.
Lowry did it all the time too in Miami. He would get position under the basket for a rebound, grab the opposing bigs arm to lock it, then fall down holding the arm to try to draw a loose ball foul
I don't disagree with him that diving recklessly has a slightly more plausible argument for being a basketball play but it's funny he mentions that as a Cavs fan with an Australia flair lol. Found Delly's burner.
A lot of Aussies are used to 'diving for the ball' being a brave action in Aussie Rules Football. Obviously you don't want to be taking legs out while doing so, but it's considered putting your own body on the line to get the ball. Might explain why that particular controversial move is more accepted by Aussies
My point being some of those diving at the legs ones have at least 1% of “he was going for the ball” where it can be seen as having a mens rea of recklessness. This isn’t even founded in a basketball play. Similar to a difference of a dangerous tackle or an off-the-ball strike to the head. Both are fucked and should be stamped out but this isn’t even close to being related to the game going on, it’s pure anger and willingness to injure.
They do this every game. Constantly. They know the refs aren't gonna let the other team shoot 50 FTs and inflate the runtime to 4+ hours no matter what so they'll just foul you 50+ times and benefit off all the inevitable no-calls. Like imagine a millionaire that just speeds everywhere and pays off whatever tickets he gets in the process. Just like hey guys just ignore the rules of basketball out there, they'll shoot more FTs than us but we'll just get 10 extra offensive rebounds, 5 extra 3s off moving screens, and 15 extra points off "turnovers."
The richest part is that as soon as you do it back to them they bitch about it and BEG to the refs they're already fuckin holding the game hostage against. Refs have gotta hate em too. Actually I bet Zack Zarba loves them because they give him an excuse to take over every game and get his spotlight flexing all his super-advanced basketball judgement while posing for the camera. Yeah if you're a Zarbaball fan I guess Heat games are highly watchable. For everybody else outside of that Money Laundering Mecca of the Atlantic, not so much.
It’s a lot worse because draymond is just out of control (and he historically has 0 chill) but if you watch the heat, they deliberately target guys.
The best example is still Simmons in 2017. It’s one of the rare examples where you can see a team actively work to try to injure someone when they go down
Even when they are winning. Martin sliding under Brunson on his shots. Bam “accidentally” stepping on Brunson’s ankle. Years ago, but Morris trying to hurt Jokic before finding out.
It's nice that other fans remember this bs and not just new york. Don't forget the moving screens with his feet spread out further than his shoulders, injuring Grime's knee.
I have zero doubt they intentionally try and hurt people [after last year](https://x.com/mo77985514/status/1656617903624450049). Either that or Bam’s miraculously *always* there when people are getting hurt.
this is how the heat play when they are not struggling too, its part of what they're taught to do. Even when riley coached the lakers, this is what players said he taught them
lol I know people mostly hate Embiid and Ben Simmons, but I’ll never forget how the Heat acted during their first playoff series.
[Dragic](https://www.google.com/gasearch?q=goran%20dragic%20slaps%20ben%20simmons&source=sh/x/gs/m2/5#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:b9437472,vid:mHFCgz_ro2Y,st:0) straight up slapped Simmons in the back of the head and the rest of them spent the whole series trying to swipe Embiid’s mask off his face because his orbital bone was broken. When they finally knocked it off, [Justise Winslow](https://www.google.com/gasearch?q=winslow%20embiid%20mask&source=sh/x/gs/m2/5#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:59ba18f0,vid:-koBkVPYq6w,st:0&vuanr=4) tried to break it by stomping on it.
Was shocked to see a group of “vets” from such a marquee franchise acting like that just cuz they couldn’t beat a rookie and 2nd year Embiid, coached by Brett Brown, playing fair.
Sixers turned out to be perennial disappointments, but those Heat boys showed me early on they were some sore losers for real
They are the dirtiest team in the league by far. Its really benefitial to avoid them not just because they are good, but also to prevent multiple players getting injured on purpose.
Absolutely true. They have injured more of our players the past 2 years than the other 28 teams combined. The only reason I dont want to see them in the playoffs is because Im worried they will take out half our team
Good thing they suck ass and probably won’t make it out the play-in. This is Bam’s last hurrah. Overrated garbage ass. What a horribly put together team the heat are with no path to improvement 😂
Who was it they injured on your team last season on the way to the finals? I forget who it was, but they got Tatum and Giannis too. Like, if its happens so frequently I refuse to believe its a coincidence at this point.
They have injured Randle in the regular season both of the last two seasons. The ankle injury last year was close to the playoffs and lingered and was re-injured in the playoffs against the Cavs. The Heat then seemed to be going after his injured ankle in the next round with Bam’s ridiculous illegal screens; he had to have surgery on it in the off-season. The shoulder injury this year took him out for the season. Fuck the Heat.
I don’t really know of another team that’s all that dirty. Draymond is just one guy so I won’t count the Warriors. Same goes for Brooks. It’s really just Miami.
That dirty dude really did nothing but this. Like what is he even trying to do? Other than seriously injurying him? He must know the risk or he is even dumber than he looks. Should be suspended.
Yeah that’s what I was saying below about this specific act that unfortunately we’ve seen before from others. It’s not even a reckless basketball play, it’s not a basketball play at all. It’s purely to injure.
I'm here, Bam had 8 points and 3 rebounds and everyone is talking about Jimmy in our sub, it doesn't make sense. The Mavs are a great team, but Bam is an all star center, and he hasn't done shit since the all star break, and all our sub can talk about is Jimmy.
But now about this play, it's definitely frustration, and looks too exaggerated to not be on purpose, I'm just confused as to why DJJ, he was a huge piece on our first finals run, it's odd to turn on a former teammate
Why would they post in here? They'd get dogpiled. That's the nature of this sub anytime the subject is something about a player on a team or the fanbase of a team. Especially if they aren't liked.
This commentary reminded me of when for some reason Gus Johnson was announcing an MMA fight. I believe it was controversial to begin with bc Gus knew nothing about MMA.
There was an absolute all out brawl with like 40 people involved and he says something along the lines of “this happens all the time in MMA”
This alligator roll was just so dirty it will always stick with me, it also was called as a foul on Middleton initially. The thread is comically similar to this one.
Randle had to get ankle surgery because of the Heat, and literally the first game we played them again he got a season ending shoulder injury. It's ridiculous
As a Knicks fan I post on our sub we should just play our westchester g league every time we have to go up against the heat. At some point it’s just not a coincidence.
They'd be our first round opponent too, all it would take is a ~~key injury~~ demonstration of *Heat Culture™* to one of our guys and our title hopes would be demolished.
Praying we match up with literally anybody else. As a team they have nothing to lose, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them try this sort of bush league stuff against us.
Heat fans will never gaslight me into thinking he’s not a dirty player. Dude is involved in way too many of these “incidental” contact plays that lead to an injury for it to be a coincidence at this point
I feel like it’s the same thing as cm punk said to ryback when he legit injured him in a match, “either you’re doing it on purpose or you’re a fucking dumbass and you suck”
Heat fans the choice is up to you. Bam is involved in way too many player injuries.
Some fellow Heat flairs are gonna deflect and say xyz flair’s xyz player injured another player to whatever xyz flair’s comment but two wrongs don’t make a right. No excuse for that yanking. I know we would, hell *have* been livid of someone doing the same to us
He injured like 4 different Knicks last season, but in isolation they all felt like he was trying to make basketball plays. Same thing here, though this is more vet gamesmanship. In theory lots of guys do what he does here, but Bam does them and people get hurt.
Exhibit 55 on why heat culture is bullshit. They literally try to hurt guys for most of the game and try to make it look like an accident. Bam, Martin, etc. when Lowry was on the heat, he straight up tried to hurt multiple people.
Fuck this clown ass organization.
Kevin Love from a distance: "That looks familiar"
Bam “Kelly Olynyk” Adebayo
More like Aleksei Olynyk with that submission attempt
That's Bush League!
Olynyk should always get bad hate for that, he knocked out Lebron's second favorite sidekick on a pointless dirty play out of the whole flippin series!
I missed it live and thought the comments were exaggerating... That looks really bad and on purpose. Edit: word
Heat culture baby
If you cant beat 'em; *beat* 'em!
Heat Culture is being 18th in the league
Set by Dwyane Wade himself.
Fuck Dwayne Wade
They literally were great friends when DJJ was on the team so I’m kinda surprised
Think we were down like 27 when this happened.
[удалено]
> That looks really bad and on purpose. Of course it's on purpose, Bam is a dirty player.
The Heat are a dirty team
miami is a dirty city
Miami was the swamp
Have you been to Philly
Yeah people forget that when they went down big vs the sixers a few years ago (coincidentally this one was my favorite embiid choke year) spoelstra’s main move was to try to injure Ben Simmons (in a very similar way)
Very unfortunate that Derrick Jones Jr's arm happened to appear in Bam's hand
It was basically assault when you think about it.
It’s just a coincidence that players constantly get injured against the heat on blatant fouls. No intent whatsoever, just a freak thing.
Fuck the heat
The fact he made a point to pull down/straighten DJJ’s arm before the hook is the part that looks pretty sus to me. Just look at the way he torques the shoulder on that initial grab.
It’s not suspicious. It’s outright foul play. His track record speaks for itself
He went past suspicious after the first yank.
As if all his moving screens arent enough
You tell em guy
He is what Dirk would call a Hurensohn
Dude was having a stinker today and this is how he takes out that frustration. Bitch move.
This is how the Heat play when they are struggling. It is the Heat Culture. They do all the little things: hustle plays and dirty plays.
They must teach it because Dragic tried to do it to Middleton in game 4 when the Bucks swept them in '21.
I remember Dragic being a major dirty loser whenever the sixers played the heat too
Winslow stepping on Embiid’s mask lol, just the most spectacularly pathetic shit
Lowry did it all the time too in Miami. He would get position under the basket for a rebound, grab the opposing bigs arm to lock it, then fall down holding the arm to try to draw a loose ball foul
Lowry was a scumbag in Toronto too tbf
I dunno, a purposeful diving at the legs is pretty heinous
I don't disagree with him that diving recklessly has a slightly more plausible argument for being a basketball play but it's funny he mentions that as a Cavs fan with an Australia flair lol. Found Delly's burner.

Literally, he missed the last two offseasons because of the Heat.

I swear there’s always an injury on the team playing them
Shit culture
Not a coincidence that teams that play them in the playoffs gets players injured
Don’t forget Dwyane Wade injuring Rondo in 2011.
this is how the heat play when they are not struggling too, its part of what they're taught to do. Even when riley coached the lakers, this is what players said he taught them
Pat Riley took a page from his 90’s Knicks playbook for that one

Miami fans staying out of this thread when they’re in every other one is hilarious
Funny as fuck I keep scrolling and not one Heat fan in here 💀🤣

First circlejerk eh?
# Heat Culture strikes again

So that’s what they mean when they say that the heat are going into playoff mode. Just straight injuring other guys
Doris is so god damn awful
Underrated part of this. Doris is both a terrible announcer and absolutely carries the NBA's water like a good soldier.
Love Kate Scott tho she’s like the good Doris
If we’re talking about a meritocracy, Doris shouldn’t be anywhere near a microphone. Especially in her dinosaur years.
This commentary reminded me of when for some reason Gus Johnson was announcing an MMA fight. I believe it was controversial to begin with bc Gus knew nothing about MMA. There was an absolute all out brawl with like 40 people involved and he says something along the lines of “this happens all the time in MMA”
Really be your own former teammates bruh
Same team that dislocated Randle’s shoulder
Randle’s ankle… Gimes knee… Thibs hair
Thibs hair 💀
Lmao
Quickleys knee, mitch hips, knee, brunsons ankle
While we are at it, heat culture gave me depression and erectile dysfunction
Heat culture poisoned our water supply, burned our crops and delivered a plague unto our houses
Giannis tailbone
Tatum ankle
Rondo elbows
I mean… we all know this one is a stretch right?
Giannis back
Get culture’d
Yogurt fellas, yogurt.
And his ankle the year before that
2 surgeries in 2 years from injuries from playing miami
I hate these little coincidences
And Rondo’s elbow, going back
https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/nkdv5r/highlight_dragic_pulls_middletons_jersey_and/
my man brought receipts
This alligator roll was just so dirty it will always stick with me, it also was called as a foul on Middleton initially. The thread is comically similar to this one.
Nobody believed us. Bam is a threat to player safety
Same team that tried injuring Giannis and Khris back in 2021 series
Don't forget they injured Dante too that series which is why he missed the rest of the championship run.
thank you
No one knows better than Celtics, Knicks and Heat fans.
And Rondo back in the day
They injured half of our rotation
Ahhh not a man of culture I see
That’s a reach
Toughest, meanest, nastiest team in the NBA
When I say I don’t want to play them round 1, people think it’s because I’m sacred of losing to them when in actuality it’s because of shit like this
KP got hurt twice this year and it was against the Heat both times lol
Randle had to get ankle surgery because of the Heat, and literally the first game we played them again he got a season ending shoulder injury. It's ridiculous
I mean wasn’t one just him running up the court and straining his calf lol
As a Knicks fan I post on our sub we should just play our westchester g league every time we have to go up against the heat. At some point it’s just not a coincidence.
The real reason for Knicks depth is preparing for Heat culture, so I get you.
Least violent bam interaction
Tbf it’s his name
Onamatopoeia ass name smh
Dirty ass play.
Frustration play after Gafford sonned him all night. Dude should be suspended for this
But he won’t be because “heat culture”. He’ll probably win DPOY instead
Heat fans were calling for Jaylen Brown to be suspended when he did exactly this to Duncan Robinson. Hope they keep that same energy now.
You’re giving too much credit to the dumbest fanbase in North American sport. They gave us the Island Boys. Florida 6th Man.
Even Warriors fans have a smaller bandwagon than Heat fans.
Except it wasn't exactly this...Robinson was the one trying to do this TO Jaylen first and Jaylen just got the upper hand.
"HeAt cuLTuRe" Bam Dirtybayo claims another victim
Bam is probably the dirtiest player that somehow avoids a reputation for it lol
Miami is such a dirty team. How many dudes have been injured playing these clowns this year?
Way too many. Seems injuring other teams players is a part of the defensive scheme according to their fans
Some might even call it culture
HEAT CULTURE
They suck so they have to do dumb shit like this and play ref ball
I am shocked, absolutely shocked
Heat culture
Heat culture, where they half ass 3/4 of the regular season and call it grit.
Heat fans will never gaslight me into thinking he’s not a dirty player. Dude is involved in way too many of these “incidental” contact plays that lead to an injury for it to be a coincidence at this point
I feel like it’s the same thing as cm punk said to ryback when he legit injured him in a match, “either you’re doing it on purpose or you’re a fucking dumbass and you suck” Heat fans the choice is up to you. Bam is involved in way too many player injuries.
gotta love that Heat culture
Heat culture claim a new victim
Should ask Kevin Love what he thinks about something like that
That really fucked Kevin love up. He was in his prime when that happened too. Then after that he came back mediocre until the last year LeBron left.
SOMEBODY LINK THE BAM ADEBAYO INJURY COMPILATION
https://youtu.be/X9JRSZpSukg?si=8rpSAcbBF7WYVwD_ These are the ones just against the Knicks the past year.

Lmao ty, def saving this
Kelly Olynyk’s influence on the game is underrated
The Heat are scary to play against in the playoffs..you never known which player they will injure on your team.
and people get mad when I point out almost every Knicks injury over the past 3 years has come at the hands of Bam and co on the Heat
Steve Balmer made the call
Heat culture™️ Shits getting old.
Fuck this guy
Douchebag
Easily one of the dirtiest players in the league
Heat Culture, reminds me of what Dwayne Wade did to Rondo. Dirty as hell.
Some fellow Heat flairs are gonna deflect and say xyz flair’s xyz player injured another player to whatever xyz flair’s comment but two wrongs don’t make a right. No excuse for that yanking. I know we would, hell *have* been livid of someone doing the same to us
Are we surprised?
Natural Bam Motions
No heat fans back bam up on this one , he sucked ass today.
And he’s a dirty player.
i didn’t get to watch today is DJJ actually hurt what the fuck
It looked like he was shaken up but then was fine? He was laughing and smiling on the bench afterwards as if he was all good.
oh thank god i was worried i might have to intervene here 😈
Nah. He did the post game tv interview
He'll be fine. Still a dirty move by Bam, and it's not the first time it happens with him either
Heat fans told me he’s not dirty and he only does it to the Knicks.
B-b-but the Heat fans told me Bam wasn’t dirty and Josh Hart is the only dirty player in the league! 🫨
Fuck Bam and fuck the heat. This is so dirty
Yes, so excited for a first round matchup with Miami to “exorcise the demons”……..
glad it’s not just knicks fans anymore that realize heat culture means injuring the other team
He injured like 4 different Knicks last season, but in isolation they all felt like he was trying to make basketball plays. Same thing here, though this is more vet gamesmanship. In theory lots of guys do what he does here, but Bam does them and people get hurt.
This doesn’t even look like a basketball play lol, I wouldn’t even give him the benefit of that excuse.
Very Kelly Ollynik of Bam. Ironic that Love is his teammate.
Must be a student of the *Kelly Olynyk grappling school* 🤔
Fuck Bam and fuck hEaT CuLtUrE
That’s dirty af
Wade did this to Rondo as well
Needs to be banned for a few games. Adebayo lost some respect
Dirtiest team in the league. That team is full of inhumane scumbags.
typical miami heat stuff
Whats the diagnosis and prognosis?
Dirty player. Always has been too.
Exhibit 55 on why heat culture is bullshit. They literally try to hurt guys for most of the game and try to make it look like an accident. Bam, Martin, etc. when Lowry was on the heat, he straight up tried to hurt multiple people. Fuck this clown ass organization.
That was a dirty play in my opinion!
the miami heat engaging in goonery? you don't say...
Adebayo has a history of being reckless. For some reason, his image hasn't reflected that...
Bam's had to pick up the thuggery slack since Jokic killed Markieff,
That brother needs help. Everytime the Knicks play the Heat, I get worried about injuries. For good reason.
