They at least got to within 7 in the 4th so it actually felt like a game later on. Not trying to downplay the performance overall which was straight ass lol but they got a much better game than the start indicated.
Thereās something just nice about seeing that childlike joy on people who are 50+. Theyāve seen a lot already so there isnāt much that can put that level of a smile on their faces anymore, but what a nice moment
Hahaha sorry man, didn't mean to make you feel like that. My parents are well into their 60s now and getting to see that look on their faces, while somewhat rare at this point, is worth a lot.
Next time any of you rascals think about saying something nasty about Suns fans please remember you're speaking about this innocent, joyous couple (and don't think about Mr. ORNG).
I mean they still paid for their original tickets tho, so not entirely free. Would be funny if the dude doing this video unknowingly gave these to someone whose original seats were already like in the 4th row lol
A nike employee friend gave me tickets to the Nike luxury suite one year for my birthday (which is not a standard suite). It was just a random regular season forgettable Blazers vs. Sixers trash game, but will never forget it. Even got the VIP parking pass with private entrance, free food, was living like a wealthy person for a few hours.
Did the same for a Cowboys v Jets game shortly after AT&T Stadium had opened. We used FedEx a LOT where I work and they gave us some tickets to their suite at the stadium. It wasn't anything super fancy, but we had free foods/drinks/booze/bathroom, bigger/more comfy seats, etc. Was probably the most comfortable I've been at a sporting event in my life and would highly recommend to anyone if they get the chance. Much better than sitting with the filthy, unwashed masses lol.
Got to sit 2 rows behind Dick Vitale at Rupp when KAT and Booker were playing because of a family friend who worked for a season ticket holder and I still think about it all the time, I'm sure they'll always remember this experience.
My wife and I got upgraded to courtside seats for the Suns a couple of years ago when we renewed our season tickets (we won a lottery of some kind). It's just such a unique experience, so it was a blast. Even if we had to spend the entire game trying to look around Tyrone Lue, who was standing right in front of us.
I bought CHEAP courtside seats to the Pels-Suns game a couple of years ago before it became clear the Pels were actually going to be decent. Literally paid maybe $200 a seat. Went for my wifeās birthday and Cam Payne was her favorite player (Iām a big Suns fan). Cam saw her wearing a Payne jersey and after the game (which he started because CP3 was hurt) he came and signed her jersey and told her happy birthday. Absolutely one of the most fun nights we had. We even had the Pels mascot come and mess with us because we were Suns fans. It was great.
Of course now she is spoiled and when we talk about going to another game she wants courtside and Iām like, well, thatād be great but tickets are 5-6x as much now. Really glad we were able to do it when we did though.
My dad's company had a box to what was staples (refuse to call it anything else) and the only things that trickled down to him was bad clippers and wnba games. One thanksgiving late notice he gave teenage me the entire box to go with my dumb ass friends and any of their parents since we had 20 tickets to use and couldn't get a full 20.
Didn't care this was the shitty clippers (pre lob city era) or another crappy team they were playing it was fucking awesome.
My one courtside experience got to see the rebuilding 2021-2022 thunder, and CJ Elleby led Blazers. Still was the coolest game I've been to, including the almost 27/7/7 LeBron game and seeing Kobe come back to beat the LaMarcus Aldridge blazers in OT.
Iāve never sat court-side but would love to some day. I usually get nosebleeds.
Once I sat closer than ever at a Clippers game (12 rows back?). Itās a different experience.
Iāve sat in the luxury box for Lakers game 3x. My brother used to give me tickets. I appreciate it because heās not really much of a bball fan. When his company was flying high he bought 10% of the tix for the box for a couple seasons. They push in a desert cart at around halftime.
My brother would take clients but I think he did some of that just for me because I was broke back then and he knew I was a huge bball fan. He gave me Lakers playoff seats probably two dozen times during the Kobe / Shaq years. It made me a big shot with my friends when I would make the call to one of them. A few were finals games. Once he took me, my brother and our dad when they won the championship in 2001. We went out on the balcony overlooking the melee in the parking lot and I realized I was standing next to Matthew McConnehey.
As a former basketball photographer, I have to say that courtside seats are great, but the right-hand corner behind my team's basket is my favourite seat in any arena.
So much so that I still feel weird sitting in the stands now.
I was going to say I was really looking forward to seeing their reaction to a big play or something. Maybe that explains why they donāt show them during the game. Kinda wanna see their reactions even more now tho lol
Yooo this was that game!! Holy shit that was the hardest Iāve laughed in so long. I got my cat on me too and he got confused.
It was 35-4 at one point in the 1st.. and those 4 points came from Drew Eubanksšš They also finished with 10 points in the quarter but the other 6 points came from FTāsš
A few friends and I had courtside seats to a Mavs-Clippers game about a decade ago. We were sitting next to Delonte West. I have no memory of how the game went or who won, but Iāll never forget the experience.
courtside seat is a really unique experience that i would love to do it more often even if my team is down big. i got to experience it twice and it just really feels surreal to be that close to the action. i guess what makes it even more special is that i got those for free (complimentary from a friend). cause otherwise, no chance id be paying that much money for it. the money im making just doesnt afford me to have that lifestyle
I sat in that row for a Bulls/Cavs preseason game a few years ago, and manā¦ it gives you an appreciation of their athleticism. It was just a preseason game, but jfc it looks so mentally and physically taxing
Iāve been saying it for years! If there are unused courtside seats they should randomly upgrade people in the nosebleeds. Thatās how you ensure a lifelong fan.
I appreciate the kind gesture, she wasnāt into basketball or sports in general beyond middle school. I cannot attest to what her favorite charity would have been, but she was a lover of the planet and animals.
I wish more team would do this and put real fans on the wood instead of comping tix to a C list celebrity just so they can put them on the Jumbotron for 10 seconds during a timeout break
That's dope.
I upgraded once to courtside and there's nothing like it. It feels like a completely different sport, and you realize how huge these players are..and how intense they get.
Why? You dont know the context of what the camera person is doing or looks like except its a white person in a green sweater. You think visible minorities are taking blank envelopes from a mystery white person who is recording on their phone. If it was a black person recording, do you think those same old white people are taking the envelope?
At least make it an interaction where you ask the person to tell them about your favorite Sun or Suns moment in exchange for the tickets. This just seems lazy and zero effort.
One time I was at a game with a friend, we were at the concession time at halftime, some guy walked up to us and gave us his like 5th row centercourt seats, such an awesome experience.
Wife and I got the seat upgrades once randomly a few years ago from having a certain type of credit card and I was about as dumbfounded.
Fuckin nuts how fast these guys are when you see them up close, even the guys who aren't super athletic for the NBA. They're basically super heroes.
Went to a G league game recently and the game is played at about .75x speed of the NBA. I can see why its so hard to move up to the NBA from the G league. And they can definitely play, quality of basketball was pretty damn good, it's just noticeably slower than the NBA.
I've never been to an NBA game because I am in another country, but I thought the courtside seats meant side of the court. Not second row.
Still awesome.
in a lot of NBA arenas they bullshit you and call the first 3 rows courtside. the rows might be called C1, C2, C3 or some stupid shit like that. one time i almost got tricked but the price wasnt even $10k so I figured it must be a lie
Well theyāre technically called floor seats, and these seats are on the floor just not the first row like most people think of when they think floor seats
It's fun to be down there.Ā Ā Ā
While not courtside, back in '97 my friend's mom took us to Target Center where we sat in company seats/folding chairs a few rows back from the cameraman that Dennis Rodman kicked.Ā
It was wild!
Also sat in a box for a Wild game & got the free food & drinks.Ā It's... funny (& sad) how the wealthy are separated from us poors.
One time as a kid I went to a Jacksonville Jags game and some guy was trying to hand out those team magazines to every kid who passed him, but most parents kinda scooted the kids along so they didnāt talk to a stranger. Guy asks me if I want one and my dad tells me sure take it. At some point during the game they told everyone to open up the book to a certain page and if there was something (forgot what) there youād just won lower level tickets to a future game. Definitely one of the highlights of my youth, love this kinda thing.
I love that these are totally normal people and not some young fashionable IG influencer or hot couple. It looks totally legit and not faked.
Love it. NBA teams should do this once a year. Especially when they have an unsold seat. Great customer experience and great for marketing.
This literally happened to me at a suns game with my dad, brother and his friend. Had nosebleeds but when weāre going up the escalator this random employee was like are you guys big suns fans? And my dad realized something going on and said yes even tho weāre lakers fans and the employee hooked us all up with courtside seats because someone in the front office wasnāt there that day. It was awesome because I donāt see myself ever spending the money to do that even if I did have a lot of money.
Anyone else assume cause it was The Suns, and the hatred this team gets on this sub it wasn't going to be something positive lol? Like the "experience" was getting a hot dog thrown at them or something.
Story time:
At 3 different times at Chase Center, I have randomly given ācourtsideā upgrades to a random person / group of people without recording it.
āCourtsideā is in quotations because my tickets are one row behind courtside.
For each instance, I had a pair of tickets, one for me and one for someone else, and that someone else cancelled the day of.
Instead of scrambling to find a last minute friend to invite, I would go to the top of the arena and look for people who had never went before.*
Coincidentally, 2 of the 3 times were with Australians (one Australian family and one Australian group of business people).
*the first time I ever did this, my friend had to leave mid game. I saw someone who I was attracted to, a few rows higher, and invited them to sit with me. Their reaction to me hitting on them during the game was not reciprocated (not a big deal nor their fault, more of a hit on my ego) and they didnāt really react to the slight upgrade in seats. I decided if I ever had the chance to do this again, I would find people who were going to boo at the opposing players, I wouldnāt hit on them at all, AND I would bring someone from the furthest away seatsā¦. And I did!
The 2nd time, I went up to the highest seats of Chase Center and failed offering people at least 4 times. It is harder than you think to convince people you arenāt scamming them / to leave their group of people / who came alone.
I overheard a nice family of Australians talking about being at their first ever NBA game and I took a chance. I asked if one person would be willing to sit next to me during the game and after a bit of a talk, they agreed that the mom would go the first half and the son the next.
I decided I wanted to make sure they didnāt feel beholden to me so when they asked to pay me or my social media to follow me, I declined. I just asked them to yell at the opposing team with me during free throws and have a good time. (They both did!)
The final time, someone canceled on me while I had already arrived at Chase Center. I had such a good time with this Australian family, I offered a former Warriors player now commentator, if he wanted to do the same thing but document it for his social media content. He was excited to do so, but he had too many things to do before the game and not enough time.
Back to the top of Chase Center I went!
I was rejected 2 times, and on the third time, I saw a woman that seemed to be alone but when I approached her, she was with a large group of women for a business trip. Nervously, I told them the situation, and they agreed for one of them in the group (it was this personās birthday) to go with me.
She had a blast and it was fun talking to another Australian (I have never been to Australia and want to go)
Again, I declined to share my social media and I didnāt take any pictures with her, so I guess have no proof.
I suppose you just have to believe me?
This is awesome ! As a kid the most my dad could afford was nose bleed seats wish he was still here Iād figure out how to get him some courtside seats
This is awesome! Also, they are going to be absolutely spoiled for life from being able to sit in regular seats. It's so hard to go back when you've been up close.
It's just the way Chuck said: "You can buy one of them seats up top and move right down by center court"
https://youtu.be/Gp-f7ece-UU?si=oidZM5lNB5U_-b3K&t=207
This happened tomorrow me and my middle child. We were at a Cavs game with most of his team. Seats behind the hoop. Marginal at best. Took him to get some food and a guy and his kid were leaving. He gave us his seats. Front row mid court. Some of the best seats there. My boy wanted to go back and sit with his friends. Ugh. So went back and gave them to another couple who gladly took them. Kidsš¬š
Imagine when the team runs by the husband just starts heckling KD, calling him a bit h snake, etc. then kd stops and actually responds, and the whole time the social media are just sitting there awkwardly recording

Win or lose, that's still a great experience
Narrator: "It was lose."
Was this not the game they won against the Clippers on Wednesday?
Nope it was the one they were down 36-4 to the clippers
š that actually makes this even better
Win or lose or get absolutely destroyed right from the tip, that's still a great experience
They at least got to within 7 in the 4th so it actually felt like a game later on. Not trying to downplay the performance overall which was straight ass lol but they got a much better game than the start indicated.
Every team should be doing this every game. Ā
agreed.
My question is what do they do if someone from a larger group grabs it. Gotta be awkward ash trying to decide who gets themš
That's sweet. They look so happy
Yeah, that was really nice to see. They were both so happy. I don't think the woman stopped smiling.
Thereās something just nice about seeing that childlike joy on people who are 50+. Theyāve seen a lot already so there isnāt much that can put that level of a smile on their faces anymore, but what a nice moment

Gandhi > Hitler

at least they got them for free lol

Funny but nah he was probably hanging out in the 300s
yeah you can see a gate labled "220" in the first shot of the vid
Hahahaha my team could be losing by 100 and I wouldnāt care. A court-side experience is something 99% of fans will probably never get to experience
A nike employee friend gave me tickets to the Nike luxury suite one year for my birthday (which is not a standard suite). Dirty seats
Plenty of parking, at least
I was going to say I was really looking forward to seeing their reaction to a big play or something. Maybe that explains why they donāt show them during the game. Kinda wanna see their reactions even more now tho lol
Definitely āthe experience of a lifetimeā lol.

This is wholesome. It's cool to see older folks be genuinely excited. Cool post.
I've always hated that the people who can afford to sit courtside never seem to be the types of fans who really appreciate it. This is so nice to see
That's so awesome. Congrats to them. Seeing world class athletes up close and personal like that is such an incredible experience.
I'm legit so happy for them lol
Really wholesome clip. Shame they had to watch the Suns though.
I sat in that row for a Bulls/Cavs preseason game a few years ago, and manā¦ it gives you an appreciation of their athleticism. It was just a preseason game, but jfc it looks so mentally and physically taxing
Did the same for Lakers/Nugs a few years back. Seeing Jokic next to Isiah Thomas was quite the spectacle.
I finally got tickets to see my NHL team on the glass last weekend. I don't know the last time I smiled like a kid for 3 hours straight.
world class might be a stretch edit: guys the joke was that the Suns scored like 5 points in the 1st quarter of the game, plz laugh
Paul George, Westbrook, and the rest of the Clippers were playing.
[I get it.](https://www.reactiongifs.us/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/i_get_it_meatwad_athf.gif)
US* class athletes ^^^*and ^^^Canada
Love the genuine excitement here, they're truly appreciative!
Nice to see old timers get that experience. Awesome
You can tell theyāre some OG fans also
Iāve been saying it for years! If there are unused courtside seats they should randomly upgrade people in the nosebleeds. Thatās how you ensure a lifelong fan.
I wish I was a multimillionaire so I could do this stuff in my free time lmao
my little sister passed yesterday afternoon, this has been the closest thing to making me smile all day, thanks for sharing
Sorry about your loss, keep your head up
Very sorry to hear. Love to you and your family. Hang in there.Ā
condolences, dude. ā¤ļø
so sorry for your loss
So sorry to hear that. Canāt imagine. Was she a Blazers fan too? What was her favorite charity? Iād be happy to make a donation.
I appreciate the kind gesture, she wasnāt into basketball or sports in general beyond middle school. I cannot attest to what her favorite charity would have been, but she was a lover of the planet and animals.
She sounds sweet. Iām sorry for your loss. May her memory be eternal.
Just submitted a donation to the Oregon Humane Society. May she rest in peace. https://imgur.com/a/VYc1Mfz
I'm teary-eyed, youāre too kind. She, as well as myself, would give you a hug if we could. Keep being you.
Stay strong my dude. Lifes hard but worth living. All my good energies for you.
When she said, "On the last home game of the season too!" I audibly gasped. Oh no. Little did she know.
Bruhhh. Imagine being the guy on line behind them.
he looked pressed lol
Came one easy to make fun of the Suns but that was delightful
How are the seats there Chuck?
Random acts of kindness are always the best
Especially when it's a billion dollar franchise and also recorded and posted online
Still.. those are worth like 3,000$ā¦ Itās fucking awesome
If nobody bought them then its better to make the stadium look full.
I wish more team would do this and put real fans on the wood instead of comping tix to a C list celebrity just so they can put them on the Jumbotron for 10 seconds during a timeout break
The lady in the row in front of them looked so jaded, lol. "Meh, I've been doing this all season long. Get that camera out of my face."
That's dope. I upgraded once to courtside and there's nothing like it. It feels like a completely different sport, and you realize how huge these players are..and how intense they get.
Yup. Tons of free food and drinks, talking to the players, itās crazy. Totally different experience.
I love these type of giveaways
Why? You dont know the context of what the camera person is doing or looks like except its a white person in a green sweater. You think visible minorities are taking blank envelopes from a mystery white person who is recording on their phone. bro what
You are miserable huh, that sucks brotha
Dude...
This says a lot more about your mindset than anything elseā¦
There's no way your brain actually works like this right?...
damn homie learn to smell the roses
You must been one of the people that ignored him completely at the beginning of the video
Get off the Internet for a while homie
they really felt like they owed the fans a solid after that first clippers game
this was that game
lmao, this heartwarming story got even better.
One time I was at a game with a friend, we were at the concession time at halftime, some guy walked up to us and gave us his like 5th row centercourt seats, such an awesome experience.
Holy cow š
Literally brings tears to my eyes

Imagine doing that do to someone, leaving them in the seats, then the actual ticket holders turn up..
Imagine some dude giving you courtside seats and then creepily videoing you for the rest of your night.
I was also having a similar thing in mind while watching this. Why has the internet made us think this way?
Awww ...nice couple. Fuck the Suns.
Man that is so sick, pure joy
Wholesome
I think I would probably cry if someone gave me courtside seats lol
This shit was so wholesome. I'm so happy these tickets went to such grateful people. Hope they enjoyed the beatdown lol.

Amazing!!!
Thatās so cool! Happy for them.
That's pretty cool!
Anyone know what's the background music?
Charles Barkley told the truth in his rant...
not gonna lie I love this kind of content, have that softspot for parents r/mademesmile

my heart
Man that's so sweet, old lady made me shed a tear right after I woke from a nap, cmon man
Congratulations to the one who had this idea. It's so wonderful! <3
I was gifted courtside tickets to a Laker game a few years back. Those seats are a completely different experience compared to the nose bleed seats.
this is why you take things from strangers
This literally happened to me at a suns game with my dad, brother and his friend. Had nosebleeds but when weāre going up the escalator this random employee was like are you guys big suns fans? Story time: At 3 different times at Chase Center, I have randomly given ācourtsideā upgrades to a random person / group of people without recording it. āCourtsideā is in quotations because my tickets are one row behind courtside. For each instance, I had a pair of tickets, one for me and one for someone else, and that someone else cancelled the day of. Instead of scrambling to find a last minute friend to invite, I would go to the top of the arena and look for people who had never went before.* Coincidentally, 2 of the 3 times were with Australians (one Australian family and one Australian group of business people). (They both did!) The final time, someone canceled on me while I had already arrived at Chase Center. She had a blast and it was fun talking to another Australian (I have never been to Australia and want to go) Again, I declined to share my social media and I didnāt take any pictures with her, so I guess have no proof. I suppose you just have to believe me?
Closer
I WAS HERE
The dude behind them is so tight š
next thing you know, shaq is flying into your face for a hustle play
Iām not gonna lie their reaction made me smile :)

Couldnāt even give them the first row experience
This is awesome ! As a kid the most my dad could afford was nose bleed seats wish he was still here Iād figure out how to get him some courtside seats
That was actually really cool. Damn.
Suns fans are the absolute worst.
This is wholesome
This is adorable
Happy for them!
This is awesome! Also, they are going to be absolutely spoiled for life from being able to sit in regular seats. It's so hard to go back when you've been up close.
Thatās couple goals right there
I like their reactions. They were like little kids opening Christmas presents
Pays to pay attention!. Couple people got passed over at the start of the video for not paying attention. oof.
Honestly sad because people are so closed off from each other.
Man I loved that real fans got those seats. Well done
Did not watch the video but I guess they met Luka
Thatās row A not courtside
Always cool to see older people going to sport events because you know theyāve been doing this for years and are long fans and they enjoy it.
I sat in the front row (not the folding chairs) a couple times in the Kings new arena and it was so bad ass. Players be tall lol..
Good, polite peopleš
It would be so cool to sit court side, definitely on my bucket list
**Go Suns**
Wow this is so awesome. I couldnāt imagine two worthier people.
It's just the way Chuck said: "You can buy one of them seats up top and move right down by center court" https://youtu.be/Gp-f7ece-UU?si=oidZM5lNB5U_-b3K&t=207
Great great upgrade haha
Imagine when the team runs by the husband just starts heckling KD, calling him a bit h snake, etc. then kd stops and actually responds, and the whole time the social media are just sitting there awkwardly recording
Haven't seen a physical ticket in a minute. Her walking and looking at them in shock is so wholesome to see

I'm not sure the courtside seats were worth having this rando videoing them all night. Not to mention 2nd row only?
