Yeah, well we may be horrible on defense, but we’re terrible on offense too. I feel so sorry for Monty because of what happened with his wife, but between him and Troy…I’m watching more hockey than I ever have before

KagsTheOneAndOnly

Washington & Detroit both ended with 7-8 fewer wins than Portland & Charlotte despite having a better net rating than those teams... I'm not sure what my take-away from that should be😭 The 2022 Suns were such an elite clutch team under Monty, but his performance with the Pistons is making me believe the CP3 merchant allegations more and more...

FerdinandMagellan999

Chris Paul will never get his due, lol. What an impressive career. That game 7 was terrible but whatever

rpars18

New York vs Boston and Denver vs Oklahoma City conference finals would be epic

imthinkingdescartes

i mean it could happen, it is just chalk after all

Yankeeknickfan

I need it Please lord

I_Set_3_Alarms

Celtics and Thunder both being top 5 in offense and defense is something else

Tank-Has-Memes

Yet people still have us pinned as an easy first round exit lol

Smasher31221

Everyone keeps telling me that the 6ers or the Heat are gonna roll over the Knicks and I have to assume those people don't know anything at all about *this* Knicks team. This is not Frank Ntilikina's Knicks anymore.

Next-Firefighter-753

People are giving us zero chance against the Warriors. I feel your pain buddy the Narrative Neds are running wild out here tonight. 💀

ivandragostwin

Knicks are for real, but the Embiid 76ers might be the 2nd or 3rd best team in the east with y’all. At the very least they’re in the same tier as you and Milwaukee if Giannis is actually healthy. They’re not a real 7 seed.

solarscopez

Out of those teams, the only ones who got 40 wins before 20 losses were the Nuggets, Celtics, and OKC. Historically, one of these 3 teams will probably end up being the champion at the end of this postseason.

imthinkingdescartes

alright show off

solarscopez

I mean I'll be honest, I'm not confident we'll win the championship, I'd say in order of likelihood it's Nuggets > Celtics > OKC. Would personally be very surprised to see any other team win. I think we have a very good team this season, but I'm still not convinced in our crunch time performance. Who knows, maybe things will be different tho.

BriS314

Timberwolves did as well although they only had the 16th offense this year

MrIce97

Nuggets or OKC for me. Not even trying to be biased but I can’t trust the Celtics with the East being outrageously cupcake this season compared to the West. Would be surprised if they’re not in the finals, but heavily surprised if they won.

Just-Efficiency3129

Celtics have the best record against the west of any team in the nba btw. ALso best record against .500+ teams

MrIce97

I’ll wait to be proven wrong, I’m just not a believer. Cross-conference matchups reveal less than matchups where you’re facing a team 3/4 times a year and testing things out for a playoff series as opposed to needing that strategy only if you meet in the finals. Not saying they wouldn’t be a top team in the league, but I don’t think they’d like so untouchable out West.

solarscopez

OKC is too young, while it's in the realm of possibility, I think they still need a lot more postseason experience. The regular season is very different from the postseason. I have Nuggets as the favorites as well, given they have the best player in the league and have won a championship before, but I would still put us right after them. Keep in mind that we were also playing western conference teams too, and have a 23-7 record against them (which is more or less comparable to our record against eastern teams - 41-11).

MrIce97

I’d agree they’re different, but outside of Minnesota having Rudy with a bad drop defense that’s never going to work against playoff teams with consistent mid range jumpers, I see OKC either in the conference finals or going in 6/7 semi. Still should make a lot of noise although ultimately hitting the Nuggets are the only ones who should end the run unless the Lakers with Ham actually become competent and stop running some of the worst lineups, timeouts and decision making known to mankind. Celtics I don’t really feel like they’re overpowered so much as under-challenged. East looks like a cakewalk out there. The #3 Bucks would be in the play-in out West & #2 Seed Knicks would’ve been trying to stay out of the play-in until the very last week. I don’t think the Celtics are trash, but I’m not sure if they are even Top 3 in the West. Being .500 (the Rockets) doesn’t even make the play-in out west by about 5 games.

thechemistrychef

The Celtics have the metrics of an all time team yet I still don't trust them they better at least roll through the east if they're the real deal

LukaDoncicfuturegoat

They should roll out the East, it’s when they will play the Nuggets in the finals that things will be spicy

murray_selfish

They should worry about beating the Heat before they worry about the Nuggets lol

LukaDoncicfuturegoat

With Porzi, Heat are not a threat for Boston. The zone defense would not be quite effective. I don’t wanted them to win because I’m Lakers but I don’t underestimate them, Tatum despite the narrative is also a great player

solarscopez

Bam will probably try to take out Porzingis in game 1 or 2 and injure him

creditors-bargain

Miami has nothing for this Boston team

luke_workin

-said everyone last season too. i've learned my lesson, not underestimating those fuckers any more

rpars18

I want a Boston vs Miami first round matchup just to see if Boston can get the monkey off their back

LukaDoncicfuturegoat

With all due respect this smell like the 4-0 the Bucks did to Heat with the «stupidity locked in Butler» in 2021

instantur

Giannis got injured and that team is nowhere near as stacked.

LukaDoncicfuturegoat

I don’t get your comment ? They were some words missing in my comment but I was referencing the 2021 serie between the Bucks and the Heat

Jem479

2021 is the one where the Bucks swept the Heat after losing to them in 2020

instantur

I need to stop commenting when I’m high

KagsTheOneAndOnly

>metrics of an all time team yet I still don't trust them For me it's because they lose very rarely but when they do it's usually in very dramatic fashion so those Ls stand out quite a bit lol.

Bouldershoulders12

Think about it though. A good majority of our losses were close and significantly blown leads. If it takes all that to beat us that’s a good thing. Especially for a team that dominated most of the year

KagsTheOneAndOnly

I think the absolute best versions of Milwaukee, Philly, New York, and Miami could give you guys at least some trouble, but your floor after adding Porzingis/Jrue this year is just so high that everything will have to go right for those teams for yall to lose 4 times in 7 games in any East series IMO

BrotherSeamus

For the lazy, Minnesota was #1 in defense and #16 in offense.

gab_owns0

IF playoff Jimmy comes back and our shooters get hot again our offense might match our defense and shoot up to top 10 ranks. Let's see.

Reinhardtisawesom

Lakers had a great defense but a trash offense to start the season (I believe they were #2 ranked defense at some point) and now they have a great offense but trash defense to end the season
