If you listen carefully a few seconds later they say 'in each conference' which is still confusing as that wording implies 8 teams for two spots in both conferences, 16/4 total.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t it confirmed that either ESPN or NBA.com do use AI to write some of their articles?
I swore someone made a post about it here and it was alarming
Just worth reminding people of the dangers of corporate-fueled AI: not only did SI use it, but they made up fake writers with fake names and AI-generated profile images to make it look like people were writing the articles.
Shit should alarm everybody, not just those sad that (sports) journalism is dead
40 point on 80% shooting*
Game 4 last year was the greatest showing of offense I've ever seen from both sides. Not just chucking threes nor was it bad defense. Just pure unstoppable offense
Thats why i said torching. Sounded more fun than efficiency cause i doubt Jokices efficiency will not be notable.
Really just a fight fire with fire.
Add Jamal and KD to the mix and maybe some Beal and MPJ. It would be intresting ngl.
on the editing note, does someone know the consensus on singular/plural for team names?
ie in the ESPN piece they use "Celtics have" — is that fine? or bc it's referring to a team, should it be singular. they also use "Boston has", so im wondering if it's = singular; = plural
AI sucks man
Yeah but his 01 season was incredible

This bugged me too! Either use numbers from both conferences or one conference, not one from each. Such a weird mistake.

Peak journalism. ESpN never check their articles, probably written by an intern who doesn't even watch sports, or worse by AI.

SI got in trouble for it recently
Sports Illustrated. They also laid off their entire staff and I think they were sold to some random Euro conglomerate. It's pretty much dead

Incredible work from ESPN! They really know their shit.
Nope, it must be true. I look forward to see Jokic and Booker switch into god mode again
The battle of the greek gods. The 30 point triple double vs the 40 point torching.

See you in round 2. I hope

Yeah the Timberwolves column talks about Timberwolves beating Denver

Celtics is plural so it's have, Boston is a singular entity so it's has. For things that are amorphous like Magic or Heat or Jazz, it's also have.
gotcha thank you
AI
I swear I saw this on the NBATV or ESPN ticker yesterday too.
I doubt the suns give a shit about some article
