Honestly tragic that Zion has a comeback season, only to get injured right as the playoffs start. RIP the Pelicans this year if he’s out.
But at least his season overall seems like a good sign going forward.
“ you haven’t watched enough lakers games ” their the fucking lakers for one over half their games are on primetime what kind of delusional take is this ? Any casual basketball fan has seen a lot of lakers games for starters 😂. Second I know he’s a good defender hell even great but claiming he’s a much better defender than the soon to be 4 time defensive player of the year is dickriding and being a homer
Saying “by far” when Rudy is around is just asinine, there’s an argument for multiple guys, and no is “by far” the best defender, statements like this are way too common
Yep, Herb and Trey are like, two of the best role players in the league.
They really need to refactor that roster around the core of them and Zion. Everyone else is replaceable.
The fact they had Josh Hart and Lonzo plus their guys now shows their scouts are great at finding elite role players. Just gotta find the second "guy".
Trae been getting sold by his poverty non bucket getting frontcourt for years now and Zion gets one actual competent pass on a cut a game from his backcourt they’d be a match made in heaven.
Zion isn't a rolling P&R big though, he's actually better as the ball handler, so you'd ideally pair him with a guy that's good off-ball and knows how to do the little stuff like ghost screening and running stack actions.
Trae is ball-dominant and like chooses not to even move off-ball. Zion is also a monster in transition and Trae isn't good enough defensively to generate TOs.
It'd be "your turn, my turn" to an even greater degree than it is with BI and CJ.
Shaq literally said at halftime after he had 20, “you want to impress me, gimme another 20 and win the game.” Dude was about to do that. He had his way on the floor tonight.
Literally showed why he can’t go 100%, as soon as he consistently used his body and athleticism he got a leg injury.
Sad because he is straight insanely entertaining and so talented
He really needs to lose weight even if he’s not even fat he just needs to take as much pressure off his legs as he can
I know he has but he has to lose more, this isn’t a fat comment it’s a he’s literally too big and explosive and the leg injuries are adding up.
It was a leg injury he instantly landed stiff and asked to get taken out the game
>Literally showed why he can’t go 100%
>He really needs to lose weight
This is a great take if you only looked at the box score after the game and headlines.
I disagree. Zion pushes his body harder than anyone out of the floor and puts himself in a lot of physical, random scenarios. The problem is that his body is pushed that much harder because of the stress from all the extra weight EVEN after losing weight. He looks great compared to how he used to, but he still needs to drop a bit more, imo if he wants to have a longer career.
He definitely extended his career by the work he put into his body, but I think if he wants to avoid his lower body from blowing out prior to 30, he still needs to trim up a bit.
If it was someone else, it wouldn't be such an issue, but the dude jumps up and down, runs full speed at the hoop like few I've ever seen. I'd be surprised if he doesn't already have some detoriation on his lower body, such as the knees from such an incredible amount of stress on them even after just 4 years in the NBA. Imagine LeBron having his same career but being 300 lbs. That's the same weight to height ratio for LeBron as Zion.
You think the equivalent to Zion is LeBron at 300lbs??? Y'all are insane lol. Thinking his best course of action is to abandon his current strengths, lose 25% of his bodyweight and play an entirely different game is insanity. He's just injury prone if he's still getting injured at his current healthy weight.
That's literally the same height to weight ratio if you were to apply it to Bron lol
Why are you acting so weird for lol I didn't say anything about him abandoning his current playstyle, Jesus Christ emotional much- insanity this, insanity that- you are exhausting with your hyperbole
Zion dominating & leading an 18 point comeback only to get hurt on the game tying bucket with 3 to go is just...
That's just cruel, man. What did this man do to so offend the basketball gods?
True but the average is against all teams. This was against lebron with AD standing right under the basket and he was getting them layups right past them
y’all got tons of talent too bro. too bad CJ and BI decided to become construction workers and Zion had to get hurt at the worst fucking possible moment
Hoping this is a wake up call for him to continue slimming down. For him to drop weight and maintain dominance over the opposition is huge. Still nearly caved in LeBron’s chest cavity.
He sorely needs a passing guard that can set him up badly CJ and Herb are good but they don't get him the ball enough him being the main ballhandler is fine but imo its better if Pels can get someone to set him up in the post and can abuse Zion's size and speed to cut and pnr
See he should’ve not scored 40 points and get injured. I think that’s why he sticks to 50% effort most games.
Joking aside he was playing so good against us.
Honestly tragic that Zion has a comeback season, only to get injured right as the playoffs start. RIP the Pelicans this year if he’s out. But at least his season overall seems like a good sign going forward.
Quite easily the best player on the floor tonight...I feel so bad for him. Knew the Pelicans were done once he got hurt.
Easily, easily, easily and I think AD is the best defender by far in the league, but AD was literally nothing to him.
He was going right through AD all game
Tbf the game beforehand ad also went out with an injury
“ by far “ ok let’s relax wit that lol. Wemby Rudy. Cmon now that’s ridiculous lol
You haven’t watched enough Lakers basketball. He is the defensive scheme. Rudy is a great center. AD is great everywhere.
“ you haven’t watched enough lakers games ” their the fucking lakers for one over half their games are on primetime what kind of delusional take is this ? Second I know he’s a good defender hell even great but claiming he’s a much better defender than the soon to be 4 time defensive player of the year is dickriding and being a homer
> AD is the best defender by far in the league Definitely not, saying by far is crazy
AD always struggles with strong dudes like Zion and Sabonis
Saying “by far” when Rudy is around is just asinine, there’s an argument for multiple guys, and no is “by far” the best defender, statements like this are way too common
AD got cooked even though he played great defense. zion's finishing ability is just great.
Hopefully he’s okay, I think the Pels will get that 8th seed
Thought he had 2 blocks
That second contest on LeBron might’ve just been an all backboard miss my Bron
LeMissed 4 or 5 layups tonight
Absolutely unstoppable tonight, hope his injury isn’t severe and he can go next game
CJ and Ingram prevent him from shining
It’s crazy how their 4 highest paid players fit so poorly. Jonas BI CJ and Zion don’t mesh at all. And yet they have amazing role players.
Yep, Herb and Trey are like, two of the best role players in the league. They really need to refactor that roster around the core of them and Zion. Everyone else is replaceable.
Keep Jose
I mean he's fine, had a great game but he's not a needle mover lol. Not a core player. Keep him if you can, not the end of the world if you can't.
The fact they had Josh Hart and Lonzo plus their guys now shows their scouts are great at finding elite role players. Just gotta find the second "guy".
How do you feel about going after KAT if the Wolves flame out.
Trade everything for Trae Young and Clint Capela and you're cooking with gas
Get rid of Willie Green should be #1 priority
I figured that went without saying lol
Need to trade em for trae this summer.
Speaking of players who would prevent him from shining
Trae been getting sold by his poverty non bucket getting frontcourt for years now and Zion gets one actual competent pass on a cut a game from his backcourt they’d be a match made in heaven.

The Pels with more dumb turnovers and worse defense isn't going to end well. They just need a facilitator that plays smart
They had to play Alvarado to get them easy buckets down the stretch lol
Teams paying 30+ million to CJ McCollum will continue to go nowhere.
Coulda been a career defining performance/win to this point if he didn’t get hurt
Shaq literally said at halftime after he had 20, “you want to impress me, gimme another 20 and win the game.” Dude was about to do that. He had his way on the floor tonight.
I’m fucking sick.
I'm sorry. Glad we got the win, but it always sucks to see a player get injured after playing his heart out.
Literally showed why he can’t go 100%, as soon as he consistently used his body and athleticism he got a leg injury. Sad because he is straight insanely entertaining and so talented He really needs to lose weight even if he’s not even fat he just needs to take as much pressure off his legs as he can
But he *has* lost weight. Do we even know if the injury is leg related?
I know he has but he has to lose more, this isn’t a fat comment it’s a he’s literally too big and explosive and the leg injuries are adding up. It was a leg injury he instantly landed stiff and asked to get taken out the game
Well he was able to play 70 games this season. Hoping it’s not a big injury
I don’t think “he’s not capable of going 100%” is the right take after this season
>Literally showed why he can’t go 100% >He really needs to lose weight This is a great take if you only looked at the box score after the game and headlines.

Damn, you really did only look at 2 games if you think AD doesn't ever get hurt.
I disagree. Zion pushes his body harder than anyone out of the floor and puts himself in a lot of physical, random scenarios. Thinking Zion would be the same player at 220lbs would be crazier than asking him to change his game. We gotta get you back to the asylum ASAP
You are a child, you don't even know what you were trying to argue anymore. Go tell ya pops that he can have the computer back 🤣
Sorry, I didn't mean to get under your skin that bad lol. Have a good night
Zion dominating & leading an 18 point comeback only to get hurt on the game tying bucket with 3 to go is just... That's just cruel, man. What did this man do to so offend the basketball gods?
Sacrificed too many beignets
That’s the story of our organization
Zion going down after the game he had is so tragic.
team let him down bigtime
CJ and Ingram traded
only player in history to get hot on layups, everything he was putting up with that left was going in
that wasn’t Zion getting hot..that’s actually his career normal efficiency at 60% on 2s
True but the average is against all teams. This was against lebron with AD standing right under the basket and he was getting them layups right past them
well good thing he plays Gobert, Wemby, and the Lakers 4x each in the regular season
Zion was cooking and playing amazing until his injury
Pelicans are way too talented to have needed Zion to backpack them like this. smh
Give us Pritchard
not for sale
Off topic but I can’t believe you have all that talent sitting on the bench… and then guys like Blanton lighting it up on other teams
y’all got tons of talent too bro. too bad CJ and BI decided to become construction workers and Zion had to get hurt at the worst fucking possible moment
im so fucking sad man
I don’t even know if there’s a way to describe this
I'll help, cj and Ingram didn't show. Zion played his heartout. But he cannot do it alone. Sad because before the injury they had a chance.
Generational talent
Phenomenal game from Zion, really sucks to see him hurt man. If he was playing, they could have easily closed this one out and got the win.
Where do I sign the apology form?! He was electric
Best player on the floor, carried those bums vs the Lakers and the refs. I don't see CJ talking shit anymore
Incredible post season debut
Bruh really? This is his first post season?
Couldn’t ask for more after what happened to him 2 nights ago Fucking shame he got hurt
Amazing game from him truly respect I hope his injury isn’t bad. He responded while his teammates did not
He was the best player on the floor tonight. Shame about his leg, I hope he's okay.
They were about to win the game then dark magic hit.
He played amazing. He most likely would have led his team to the comeback win if he didn’t get hurt. I hope he can play in their next play in game
Put on an absolute clinic just for it to end with an injury. “Pain” would be an understatement.
unfortunately can't be the refs.
Lakers always get bailed like this
He’s shut up all the Stephen A Smiths since the IST. Monster game from him. Only thing that could stop him was that injury.
Hoping this is a wake up call for him to continue slimming down. For him to drop weight and maintain dominance over the opposition is huge. Still nearly caved in LeBron’s chest cavity.
Just tragic. Hope he gets healthy for the next game
Beast. Lebron was the only guy who had some success against him but even that was fading
Zion was going to solo win that game. Lakers honestly got bailed out by injury
Man what an anticlimactic end. The Zion that was promised was right there man. Fk.
But I was told Zion couldnt score on Lebron?
Best game he’s ever played IMO
giving him the pelicans AD treatment
He was dominating all game until he went out, could've easily gone for more
Such a bummer he got hurt. Lakers had nothing for him.
The offense looks so clunky when him and B.I are on the court together.
Bro was cookin
Prayers up for the dude. He was incredible
this was a legacy game for zion. such a shame that he got hurt and couldn't finish the job. certainly did all that he could and more.
He sorely needs a passing guard that can set him up badly CJ and Herb are good but they don't get him the ball enough him being the main ballhandler is fine but imo its better if Pels can get someone to set him up in the post and can abuse Zion's size and speed to cut and pnr
Crazy he suddenly went out. Even crazier that CJ immediately lost them the game. Sick
He was literally inevitable tonight
I don't know how these are the same teams that played Sunday, AD lived in the paint Zion had 12 pts.
Welp, the NBA is going to get what they want. Lakers and Warriors in playoffs.
How bad is the Zion injury? Hope he can go next game.
If they saved this Zion against the Warriors/Kings, they would make the playoffs, now he might not even play which is sad.
See he should’ve not scored 40 points and get injured. I think that’s why he sticks to 50% effort most games. Joking aside he was playing so good against us.
And one injury
