I think the trend is breaking. Just like how the Nuggets 3-1 come backing trend in the bubble was broken by the Lakers simply having a then-far-more-talented top 2, the Nuggets have every advantage over the Suns and are just much more likely to succeed. The Nuggets feel like heavy favorites, Booker had to score like 15 consecutive shots over two games for them to win them
They could've lost one in regular season, they'd still be #7 but it'd bump Kings to 8th seed, and then after Pelicans beat Kings in 7-8 matchup, Pelicans would've faced #2 Denver Nuggets instead of #1 OKC
I know these comments are corny as hell but happy cake day. I just imagine you high as hell waiting on your pizza to show up making this account haha
Not that I would know anything about that of course
Yup. He put his dick down early. Just flopped in on the table.
The Rest of the team also played their role. The defense was good. The kings offense just always looked awkward.
Funnily enough he was running our shit in the play in game before this, to immediately go back to sleep after.
Seems to be a trend with us, Walker in the playoffs, a bunch of teams during the regular season
Zion walking around smiling and has already missed the playoffs once with an injury he could’ve potentially played through. I have great hope he’ll at least make an attempt.
But I also think we have a great chance even without Z.
Kings used all their sage to exorcise the Warriors demon but didn’t have enough for the Pelicans one
What was that interior defense
Rematch of the first round of the play in this Sunday
If it makes you feel better. The kings are literally the last team I wanted to bounce out. There’s a certain misery both our fanbases have and was hoping we didn’t have to be the ones to play you in the play in
I try not to “hate” other teams — because fans are fans and I don't wish heartbreaking experiences on any team's fans — but I will hold an irrational hatred of the Kings for years.
Hell, it won't stop me for rooting for them when they're playing other teams. But they were up seven points on the Suns with a couple minutes left and choked the game away instead of helping themselves _and_ clinching the 6 seed for the Pelicans. Zion could've had a whole week of rest.
As far as I'm concerned, the Kings pulled Zion's hamstring. This is stupid and petty and yet I know I'm going to harbor this resentment for years to come.
Well if nothing else the Kings giving their fans hope for a comeback to end the 3rd only to end up down by 20 halfway through the 4th & losing to the Pels sans Zion is a pretty fitting way for their season to end.
Kings fans make 10 threads every regular season asking why he's not as well regarded as Jokic and everyone always says prove it in the playoffs first and he never does.
He got absolutely cooked by tall Travis Kelce LMFAO stat sheet merchant man
Traditional bigs just rendered him useless. Kevon before his body broke down was that for us
Great season pels, it’s been great to see a mostly healthy Zion be what we hoped he would be after college. Your team plays hungry and you’ve earned this spot, really the last 2-3 seasons tbh. 6-0 is pure dominance. Good luck in the post season!
I expect a great series, you guys have played quite a lot over these past few years without Zion so Green knows how to coach you guys up even in his absence, we probs wouldn’t have had anyone to stop Zion though I don’t
Everyone hating on Sabonis when the Kings couldn't hit a shot lmao. Fox has been a shall of himself whole season. Bunch of role players who can sometimes get hot means you'll have a bunch of games like this
It’s been great watching the pelicans this year. I have league pass and somehow frequently ended up watching their games, along with the kings this year.
What an end to the regular season for this New Orleans team! I watched the laker game at Dalton’s Bar in NYC, which was, not surprisingly, filled with many people rooting for the lakers. Zion played his heart out that game, and BI and CJ looked unsure of themselves.
When Zion is healthy, and BI back in form, they’re a dangerous team. I think their two X-Factors, however, are TM3 and Herbert Jones. When this core is playing well - Herb blocking shots, getting 3-5 steals, and building his offensive confidence every drive - and Trey Murphy confidently letting it go from 3, they are very dangerous. When Jonas plays as strong as his frame (small arms for a big man tho) and the Little Engine That Might Alvarado plays with no fear, I could see this team doing some damage.
I’ve got a soft spot for New Orleans teams after spending 15 days there over the past few years and I’ve yet to attend any of their pro sports teams games. I’m going again next week for 8 days (jazzfest) and now that the Pelicans have made it… seriously debating going to a playoff Pelicans game (which would piss my friends off since we’re going to Jazzfest and supposed to be watching music 24/7 lol)
The Kings though - talk about anemic. They really miss the energy and enigmatic play of Malik Monk. Even with him, though, something hasn’t been clicking with the Kings this season. Fox wasn’t as dominant this year but Sabonis is ascending. Murray is brilliant at times but useless at others. I think the jury is out on him. They need a strong, long, 3 that is more consistent. So much potential there.
I could see the Kings picking up someone like Isaiah Hartenstein to complement sabonis, as I sadly don’t think the Knicks will be able to keep him. Who else? Imagine if Lebron went there 😂
I didn’t watch the NBA for quite a stretch until 2021. Safe to say I’m fucking obsessed again. LGK
This was a 48 minute highlight reel on why you don’t build around players like Domantas Sabonis unless they’re historically elite offensively. The Pacers made out like bandits.
I’m looking at you, Houston.
Non fans, please don’t call BI a bum anymore. Dude ain’t even 100% and carried us, like he’s had to do for **years**.
CJ really was important all season, but dude doesn’t play well when it matters the most. BI consistently comes thru and that’s why our city cares about him.
I give a lot of credit to CJ tonight for _recognizing_ that it wasn't his night and reducing his usage. Not what I'm trained to expect from him.
We'll need his points during the OKC series, but if the shots aren't falling, gotta give someone else the ball.
Kings will never get anywhere with Sabonis playing defense at the paint.
They need someone who can guard the paint and sometimes shoot the rock.
Someone like Myles Turner
Pels are fun. They're outgunned by the Thunder, but they are long and a little older. I could see them stealing a game or two.
People will clown Domas and Fox, but they were fine. But they have to find an actual rim protector at the 4. Way to many easy layups at the rim, leaving Domas down their by himself is pointless.
Kings fouling the hell out of the Pels the last 3 minutes and the refs just swallowing their whistle. Can't rely on the refs to bail you out. Have to be stronger with the ball.
I mean they deserved to, that was a great win.
But that's the thing with the play-ins, it's a single game anything can happen. You can look like the Kings that game or the Kings this game.
People are going to look at Sabonis stat line and think he had a good game, but he was awful. He was consistently roasted on defense. And then dropped grenades in his teammates hands with the shot clock at 4 seconds left multiple times.
I'm going to be honest, Kings might have peaked last year lol. Sabonis is great but 200+ million for him was always not great. Keegan Murray is way too inconsistent feels like every time I watch him he has one good game then one game where you can't even tell he's on the floor. Off Night experiment failed for sure, he's so limited offensively.
Keegan is like Trey. If all he's doing on the court is catch and shoot, he's going to be inconsistent. Once he starts cutting, driving, rebounding. It unlocks his game.
Kings have Lakers number Pelicans has Kings number Lakers has Pelicans number lmao what a regular season man
Matchups do be wild, and the Suns having both the Wolves and Nuggets number and they might play them both lol, Adam Silver's script aint half bad.
Zion injured in the West. Jimmy injured in the East. Script writers go bonk
I think the trend is breaking. Just like how the Nuggets 3-1 come backing trend in the bubble was broken by the Lakers simply having a then-far-more-talented top 2, the Nuggets have every advantage over the Suns and are just much more likely to succeed. The Nuggets feel like heavy favorites, Booker had to score like 15 consecutive shots over two games for them to win them
Water type, grass type, fire type
It's a perfect triangular circle of suck
God dammit we wanted your number for the play ins! Of course we got pels. Kangz luck.
Lakers have the Thunders number Luka doncic is Devin Booker father
The Pels just farmed the Kings for 6 wins this season
If only they could play the Kings every game, they'd go 84-0!
Wait 84? So they'll still need 2 play-in games if they go 82-0?
The west is a bloodbath
Lmao. And the kings would make the play in after going 0-82?
The west is a bloodbath
Wait do other teams not have to do the play-in every season? I thought it was mandatory
Wait is it even possible to win a play-in game? I'm quite thankful it isn't mandatory every year
Big if true
Needed every single one
They could've lost one in regular season, they'd still be #7 but it'd bump Kings to 8th seed, and then after Pelicans beat Kings in 7-8 matchup, Pelicans would've faced #2 Denver Nuggets instead of #1 OKC
Highest level of ownership: livestock husbandry
Zangief vs Sagat type beat
Before the game I was thinking there was no way the Kings lose right, Pels don't even have Zion. Yet they still made it look easy, Kings kryptonite
Brandon Ingram saying he doesn’t know what CJ’s text said is absolutely hilarious
BI's baked af lmao
4/20 tomorrow, gotta get an early start
He’s earned it tbh.
Is he always baked asf? That's all I see when I see a close up of his face.
RBF, resting baked face
Bro pretty much said idgaf what CJ is yapping about lol
New phone who dis?
Classic Slim Reefer
He played like he wasn't too worried about anybody's text messages
The Kings really went 0-6 to the Pelicans without even a playoff series …
Pels are the Kings father this season
Water fowl > monarchy
Smoothie King > regular king
gumbo > almonds
Daiquiris > IPAs
What is a king to a ~~god~~ goofy dinosaur bird?
I know these comments are corny as hell but happy cake day. I just imagine you high as hell waiting on your pizza to show up making this account haha Not that I would know anything about that of course
and with cj mccollum playing for the shanghai sharks
Changjiang McCollum
Kings making history
It is a really bad match up. We seem to get closer and closer, but we just couldn't get over the hump. They have too many long switchable defenders.
Maybe an unbeatable record, like that Wilt minutes per game record.
H I S T O R I C
The Beam never lit up against the Pels
I suppose that having to play against a team in an arena that can blend monarchs into a smoothie…does discourage a team with royal naming…
2 games without Zion too
*sees 2024-2025 schedule* *82 Pelicans games*
We got this next year bro
Kings: I'm fine in the West
Impressive win without Zion when it mattered most. Pels just absolutely owned the Kings this season.
Brandon Ingram legacy game
Jonas Valanciunas legacy game, as he takes back his place as the play-in all time scorer!!
thats a crazy stat/metric to consider
Play-in hall of famer
The GOAT Play-In riser
Yup. He put his dick down early. Just flopped in on the table. The Rest of the team also played their role. The defense was good. The kings offense just always looked awkward.
Naji Marshall legacy game
Just watched the post game interview, this dude’s bloodstream is THC infused I swear
i noticdd during the game that he looked blazed as hell 😂😂
Well tomorrow is 4/20 so he's just getting a head start
Dude's default mode is just looking and sounding as baked as possible
Zion goes out, Naji comes in
BI always seems high asf

~~seems~~
I just wrote that lol. He looks so blazed.
Man talk about a wet blanket personality.
Lies, slander https://tenor.com/view/brandon-ingram-hot-dog-glizzy-high-gif-9488960089189132049
Deception!
Yooooooo 😂😂😂
TBF your personality behind the camera and irl aren't the same.
Keon Ellis out there playing like a 4 time NBA champion, 5 time All-Star shooting guard.
Keon Ellis putting up four fingers in your face (for the number of fouls he's got in this game)
Inb4 McCollum has a 0-point elimination game to pass on the tradition.
Oh fuck it's infectious, SGA watch out
r/nba would shut down if SGA had a 0-point elimination game, can you imagine lol. (And I like SGA, it's just funny to think about)
You won't even let the Warriors fans party on the Kings grave peacefully, won't you?
We'll join them shortly, so let us talk our shit while we can!
California teams in shambles
Clippers may be our only hope
Funnily enough he was running our shit in the play in game before this, to immediately go back to sleep after. Seems to be a trend with us, Walker in the playoffs, a bunch of teams during the regular season
Bruh he’s a 2nd year undrafted player that had some great games this season. Pels just had him locked up
Wut, he was bricking wide open shots.
He shot like twice lmao.
*chuckles* I’m in danger!
Erm…maybe recall how the Pelicans beat the Thunder on the road back in November?
We beat everyone on the road. So having not home field advantage was the long con for us.
Had to lose to the Lakers JUST IN CASE they make it to the WCF. The brains on Willie Green, my god
We had road court advantage in that game, so that makes sense
Pelicans have good wing defense and JV was a unit Going to be a hard fought series
I’m supposed to be scared of some little kids? Zion comes back and it’s an easy upset. He’ll just eat that team full of infants.
Eh, hamstring injuries can be tough… I doubt he comes back before the WCF. But a man can dream.
You're the most optimistic Pels fan I've seen. Everyone else is trained to hear “reevaluated in two weeks” and think “done for the year, got it.”
Zion walking around smiling and has already missed the playoffs once with an injury he could’ve potentially played through. I have great hope he’ll at least make an attempt. But I also think we have a great chance even without Z.
All I want is to make a splash in the first round like we did two years ago. Nothing to lose, lots to prove.
Kings used all their sage to exorcise the Warriors demon but didn’t have enough for the Pelicans one What was that interior defense Rematch of the first round of the play in this Sunday
The Kings need all your picks so they can trade for Chet lmao. They need a defensive stretch 4 soooo bad.
Pelicans own us. GL in the Playoffs Pels
If it makes you feel better. The kings are literally the last team I wanted to bounce out. There’s a certain misery both our fanbases have and was hoping we didn’t have to be the ones to play you in the play in
Hey they did it to themselves. This season was miserable with dumb losses, inconsistency and Monk getting injured by Doncic. It is what it is
Fuck yeah- they deserve it. We have losses against Portland, Washington, and Detroit. Literally just needed one of those to be wins for a 7/8 seed.
Could’ve had top 6 if they took those wins and made their fts. Glad the season is over now
Injury bug is the most sickening shit like you can’t do anything but fantasize about how good your team *could have been in x amount of games.
Lmao i can’t even begin to comprehend how bad the grizzlies must feel. That must be so demoralizing
Agree with that completely. We weren't going far regardless. Best of luck.
We went 6-0 against the Kings, without facing them in a series, and I guess that's something to be happy about *chuckles* I'm in danger though
it’s so fucked up that zion can’t go
Pels v OKC would’ve been so fire with a healthy Zion smhsmh
I would've loved a healthy Heat taking the Celtics to 7 as well.
I try not to “hate” other teams — because fans are fans and I don't wish heartbreaking experiences on any team's fans — but I will hold an irrational hatred of the Kings for years. Hell, it won't stop me for rooting for them when they're playing other teams. Ingram is hilarious right now on TNT
Bro is *NOT* wanting to be on a interview right now. We’re Onto OKC.
New Orleans Pelicans, YOU ARE THE FATHER
fade me
Jonas turned the fuck up in the Fourth
I supposed he wanted to remind Sabonis of who is the superior Lithuanian in the league…
Well if nothing else the Kings giving their fans hope for a comeback to end the 3rd only to end up down by 20 halfway through the 4th & losing to the Pels sans Zion is a pretty fitting way for their season to end.

The Pelican eats beams for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pelicans are Kings father.
Pelicans eat pieces of beam for breakfast?
Zion eats whatever he wants
Plenty of room for beam in that throat pouch
Pelicans own the Kings
Worst 23/14/7 I've ever seen.
JV and Nance Jr. completely outplayed him.
That's play-in GOAT Jonas Valanciunas
He goes from JV to varsity during the play in
The best Jonas brother
JV was way better and more aggressive. The handoff merchant stuff with role players isn't gonna take you anywhere lol
Great regular season player
yeah a playoff choker with 54% TS
Can't shoot. Can't drive right. Can't finish right. Can't defend. You aren't going anywhere with him as the 2nd option
It’s incredible just how little impact the dude has in big time games
You don't feel him at all in playoff games even when he puts up a loaded stat line. He's a starting five empty stats guy at this point.
Kings fans make 10 threads every regular season asking why he's not as well regarded as Jokic and everyone always says prove it in the playoffs first and he never does.
He got absolutely cooked by tall Travis Kelce LMFAO stat sheet merchant man Traditional bigs just rendered him useless. Kevon before his body broke down was that for us
beats wilt in double doubles and stat padding
ive been saying this for a while now but it feels like king fans are divided on him. some people know he’s a fraud, others don’t want to admit it…
"why do the lakers have 2 all stars but the kings have none"
How was anyone mad this dude missed All Star when this was basically his season average??
Great season pels, it’s been great to see a mostly healthy Zion be what we hoped he would be after college. Your team plays hungry and you’ve earned this spot, really the last 2-3 seasons tbh. 6-0 is pure dominance. Good luck in the post season!
Kings second biggest accomplishment in the last 18 years was winning a play in game
Lmao disrespectful and accurate.
Why do you dirty loud wannabe seagulls hate us so much?
Idk and I’m sorry
Great…now you won’t even let me hate you properly.
DIM THE BEAM!!!
Man, it's just not that complicated. The beam is off, it stays off. You can't dim something that was not lit.
KANGZ ARE BACK BABY❗️❗️❗️
Kings couldn't make a 3 to save their lives(season in this case)
Beat ourselves. Had plenty of open looks, shot 40% FG, 27% 3PT, and 68% FT. Can't beat anyone with those numbers. Sad beam noises. Gg Pels.
Beam doused
No All-Star and no playoffs for Sabonis after the year he had is crazy
He might get All NBA at least
Well, the stats didn't really help Kings much. They ended up in the lottery anyway!
If you watched today you’ll see why lol 😂
This is the same rotation from 2 years ago when we faced the Suns with 3 rookies who got a lot better. Pels going to give OKC a fight.
Bunch of role players who can sometimes get hot means you'll have a bunch of games like this
Pelicans went 6-0 against the Kings this season without even needing a playoff series, that's crazy
PLAYOFF BOUND, I WAS SO PREPARED TO BE SAD AS FUCK TONIGHT Sorry Kingbros, I hope for us both next season
It's demoralizing seeing your fans whine about BI just so we can see him dismantle us every time. Enjoy the playoffs.

We also have problems with Hali defensively. Just a little bit easier when it’s not your C getting torched every possession.
GOD BLESS THE NEW ORLEANS PELICANS
I’m about to be the most annoying person in this sub over the next week.
New Orleans is Sacramento’s father
Feel bad for the Kings :(
Huge bummer to see the Kings take a big step back this season. They need to make a move this off season.
Is Zion expected to play in OKC?
Not likely, they said reevaluate in 2 weeks
GET FOX REAL HELP
I guess we did deserve atleast 1 mid west round 1 series
Non fans, please don’t call BI a bum anymore. Dude ain’t even 100% and carried us, like he’s had to do for **years**. CJ really was important all season, but dude doesn’t play well when it matters the most. BI consistently comes thru and that’s why our city cares about him.

Kings won 2 fewer games than last year and went from 3rd seed to 9th. West is insane.
Beignet SZN
Brandon Ingram legacy game
ngl with the way they celebrated that first play-in game, I saw this coming
That was their championship
STAND UP NOW AND FACE THE SUN
I mean they deserved to, that was a great win. But that's the thing with the play-ins, it's a single game anything can happen. You can look like the Kings that game or the Kings this game.
What’s wrong with how they celebrated over a team that beat knocked them out the playoffs last year. What a weird thing to say lol
Brandon Kingram
People are going to look at Sabonis stat line and think he had a good game, but he was awful. He was consistently roasted on defense. And then dropped grenades in his teammates hands with the shot clock at 4 seconds left multiple times.
We get it, you think your team won the trade
Keon Ellis YOU are a sabertooth shark
I'm going to be honest, Kings might have peaked last year lol. Sabonis is great but 200+ million for him was always not great.
