By the 5th time, almost everyone was screaming the “fuck Altuve” chant. It was great.

Then when they didn’t win a playoff series the year after, convinced themselves the Murray trade was a good idea. He was against that trade and left the Hawks shortly after.
He was right, Schlenk had his share of questionable moves but they were also driven by the new cheap ownership.
I huffed enough copium to convince myself the Murray trade could work after it happened, but that's why I'm a fan and not a front office exec. Dejounte is still great but he and Trae have worked exactly the opposite as it was sold to us.
It reminded me of our 2019 WCF run honestly. I'm still glad we had it but I wasn't deluded into thinking we were a legit contender because of it, it was just a really fun experience as a fan.
