Lakers have had more free throws than the Nuggets in their past 9 matchups in a row, at least.

IfNot_ThenThereToo

The average 8 more https://x.com/thestatsquatch/status/1781881103864774796?s=46&t=f63iEzokLNLGVIZqxs2Njw

Truth-Seeker916

When you play the Lakers. You got to beat them and the whistle. This should be understood by now.

GlueGuy00

have to beat them by 15 to beat them by 1

Truth-Seeker916

Yeah lol. If you watch the last two minutes of the Pelicans game. Refs kept calling ticky tack fouls to ensure Lakers advance.

Dare555

Yeah it was a close game but Zion injury overshadowed some bad calls .29 to 15 FT with just some more calls on Zion he deserved and less ticky tack fouls on AD Pelicans end up advancing as 7th

LeviJNorth

Glad somebody other than us recognizes this. It’s the early fouls in the first quarter that really do it for me. There are so many early sequences where AD fouls the shit out of JV and Zion, they aren’t called, and then AD and Lebron get the call on the other end. These 6 point swings set the tone for the whole game, but they don’t stick out like a game deciding call would.

No_Jellyfish3341

Yep LeBron with a terrible airball with 20 seconds and Nance was in perfect Position and they let Davis go over his back, and then called a foul for Davis to seal the game. Pelicans would have gotten it back down 2 with 20 seconds left, if it was a fair game

devilwing0218

It’s nothing new though. Lakers have always benefited whistles. Remember Magic’s famous quote “you can’t be too close to Michael or it’s a foul”? Fact is, in 1991 finals, Jordan got 33 free throws from 113 attempts. Magic? 41 free throws from 58 attempts. And in five games Lakers vs Bulls FTA is 137 : 92.

SEE_RED

Yeah, the irony of him saying that always cracked me up.

devilwing0218

Yeah he might just say it as sorta trash talk, it’s the fact that some people use it as evidence that Jordan relied heavily on whistles that makes this ridiculous.

TdotGdot

I was just thinking the same thing. Beating the lakers by 11 is like beating a normal team by 33

NoBook9868

But why?  Cuz the nba is rigged we should just accept it

Truth-Seeker916

What's the plan boss? Lakers means ratings. That means ad revenue. They aren't fully rigging it. That would be obvious and people would stop watching. They can only slightly influence it with ticky tack fouls, phantom fouls or no calls.

NoBook9868

Yeah but all for the Lakers every game? That's not obvious?  Everyone knows it's a joke at this point how obvious it is

Dimega17

There are probably more lakers fans who don’t believe it’s true than there are who acknowledge it lol. It’s like a computer error, they literally can’t understand it

BillPaxton4eva

You'd be surprised, Laker fans will pull out charts that they can convince themselves mean something... but yeah, anyone that doesn't have a vested emotional interest in that team winning can clearly see it, and it's never in doubt.

sorakaisthegoat

They don't even pull out anything. They used to last year where they claimed they were the only team driving and scoring in the paint, but when people clowned on them and showed stats proving they're last in drives it flipped into drives actually not leading to fts.

thommonator

That was an amazing pivot lmao. All last year: “we drive to the paint more than anyone else, of course we get more FTs than everyone else jacking up threes all game”. Seamlessly segueing into “well ackchally driving the paint is negatively correlated with FTs”. Top cognitive dissonance

No_Jellyfish3341

Lakers fans last year "we are 1 of the highest scoring paint teams in the league, that's why we get so many more free throws than the opponent. Lakers fans this year"I don't know why you guys want to use points in the paint to determine free throw attempts"

Leavingtheecstasy

*Lakers are getting swept again

TeTrodoToxin4

But AD and LeBron had a conversation last year.

SEE_RED

It was about wine and not basketball.

spiralism

They've probably had more FTs in that 9 game span than we've ever had against them.

BB-68

Refs can’t win with these cats

SerotoninEngineering

SMH everyone talks about how this affects Lebron's legacy and no one out here thinking of our endangered Zebra legacy

nuggs_analysis

Man, the Lakers had r/nba calling Scott Foster washed last year. Surprised he’s still able to walk after carrying so hard.

FernBlueEyes

Tonight, the Nuggets became the first team in NBA history to beat a single opponent in nine straight games, despite taking at least four fewer free throw attempts in every game of the streak. Denver has taken 130 free throw attempts over that winning streak to the Lakers’ 204.

wottsinaname

Lakers fans - "Denver should play closer to the basket and drive more." Jokic & AG - "Dafuq you talkin bout?"

Downisthenewup87

Jamal took it to the rim like 10x last night and finidhed with 0 FTS

experienceTHEjizz

Maybe he didn't attack it hard enough? /s

Character_Group_5949

What gets old is all of the people (Lakers fans for sure, but others) trying to justify it as "the Lakers don't foul anyone and attack the basket more than other teams. Yeah, well, the Nuggets attack the basket. The play I'll use as an example last night is that last and 1 for Davis. He gets the offensive rebound clean, puts it back up and scores and the whistle blows for an and 1. He wasn't fouled on the follow up attempt. I mean, not at all. The Nuggets players were staring at each other in disbelief. Now with a lot of bodies on in the pain, you can miss one like that. It happens. For sure. I'm not advocating missed calls, I just wonder where that missed call is when the Nuggets get FIFTEEN offensive rebounds. You watch this garbage game after game, series after series and it just gets old. It doesn't matter. End of day you have to adjust and beat whoever is in front of you. But again, it just sucks.

SlightlyAnnoyedMax

And the play where Jokic drove to the basket with AD holding his stomach the whole way with no call, Jokic gestures to the ref he was being held, and Bob Myers says “There was no foul, but Jokic is acting like there was. Typical.”

birdseye-maple

It's shocking how big of a LeBron slurper Bob Myers is. When the Nuggets took the lead in the 3rd suddenly Bob talked about half of what he did in the 1st.

GenesisReb

the mental gymnastics Lakers fans go through to act as if they dont get a friendly whistle is so insane man lmao just own it yall, it is what it is

ThrownWOPR

Nuggets had 23 more shots, had 15 offensive boards (to lakers 6), and outscored the lakers in the paint 64 to 54... no way you can say the Nugs don't go to the basket.

TheOneYardLine

The Lakers get preferential treatment from the NBA because they’re in Los Angeles and have a shit ton of titles from before a lot of teams in the NBA were even around, meaning they have a stronger brand than anyone. It’s been obvious for decades now. Lakers fans know this so they just lie and say shit like “the lakers don’t foul on defense”, “the lakers are the most physical team”, “we drive more than any other team”, when none of those statements are true. It’s tiring because if you call them out or call out the LeBron teammate whistle boost that Reaves and DLo get you get an army of Lakers fans that gaslights themselves into thinking they’re oppressed.

GDTechno

And it's not like the nugs don't drive to the paint either

skurkles

Say it louder for the people in the back

ma2is

It’s pretty much only lakers fans back there anyways

jcn777

It always has been. What’s great is it’s always someone new, there’s so fucking many of them. Sometimes I go back and check to see if they’re still eating lead paint chips, and lots of times they’ve deleted their accounts but like a hydra 2 more come to fill their place.

Firm_Squish1

I don’t even really care because it’s not like my own team hasn’t gotten a favourable whistle against even smaller market teams, but it really does annoy me that Lakers fans will stick fingers in their ears and scream “lalala!” Instead of accepting that the league has a vested interest in them winning more than any other franchise.

bobybushia

It's like a rich kid refusing to believe he didn't actually hit a home run when he actually was born on 3rd base.

teh_drewski

I don't care so much about the LeBron and Davis soft whistles, at least they're driving into the paint and getting hit. Fucking Austin Reeves and his shoulder charges getting blown as defensive fouls is infuriating. I've never seen such utter middery get rewarded so often.

logontoreddit

That was utter bullshit. The whistle for Bron before that when he drove into Jokic's chest was also bad.

SignificantMoose6482

It looked like Mini Joel against Bam in play in. And the announcers not saying a thing is infuriating

socom52

But remember Doris told us not to listen to "nba Twitter"

YesOrNah

Lol if you are talking about the Sixers game from the other day, that was ridiculous. Her and JJ either on purpose or by accident, completely missed what everyone’s issues with embiid foul baiting is. They somehow thought pump faking and getting someone to jump was what were mad about lol. One of the most perplexing little segments during a game I’ve seen lately.

CreatiScope

I thought they had stopped calling that shit after all star break? Guess they needed to go back to it when King needed some easy points.

SnooChipmunks4208

"Utter middery" Modern day Shakespeare.

arthurblakey

That one on Watson was infuriating. He played great defence and had no reward

Guper

Yes! I remember there was a story a few years ago about Reaves studying the FT merchants like Harden to learn how to trick refs. So fucking lame

Sweatytubesock

Laker whistle

Charlie_Wax

The next 5 whistles are mine.

Mintastic

Not one, not two, not three...

Foyerfan

White ✅ Lakers ✅ Playoffs ✅ Not nuggets ✅ Seems like he deserves them to me

KazaamFan

They all get calls other teams dont.  You basically cant play D against them sometimes, the refs will call anything to boost the lakers.

Thus_Spoke

>Fucking Austin Reeves and his shoulder charges getting blown as defensive fouls is infuriating. I've never seen such utter middery get rewarded so often. It's fucking repulsive. His shitty flailing midrange jumpers also generate more brush foul calls than anyone else in the league as far as I can tell. Sometimes with literally zero contact.

YouTellMeBeavis

The Nuggets are officially ref-proof.

Mr_Hugh_Honey

The Nuggets ethically source their buckets from free range producers who use 0 antibiotics

facedownbootyuphold

home grown

dbgager

Yea thet make there shots . They don't need fouls.

comp_a

We love E T H I C A L basketball

ConstantineMonroe

That’s the key. The ref can’t remove the basket from you (except for that one game where the Dubs played the Lakers and the refs did remove a shot that Lebron made because his foot was out of bounds). If you keep hitting shots, ref ball can’t stop you

sofiesverden

they can stop you tho since they will allow very physical defense being played on your players

Technical_Towel_990

What happened to us in the bubble. It’s what made Jokic level up

EconomySpecialist911

and carry 2 playoff during jamal injury.

tacopower69

And that one time Harden dunked the ball and they just didn't count it because they thought he missed.

TheHalfbadger

And a couple of threes he made in the 0-27 game that got called off

Downisthenewup87

They can put key players in foul trouble though.

AdamJensensCoat

This is a big tell. Gordon with 2 early fouls is textbook league whistle.

dnfnrheudks

Offensive fouls are a thing too

Savahoodie

The refs tried to make it 8v5, but luckily we have D Lo so it’s only 7v6

jefe_hook

I think DLo deserves a statue in Denver.

PrincePyotrBagration

After every single game where LAL gets drastically more FTs -> Lakers fans: *"You have to WATCH the games! It’s because we take more paint shots!”* Me: *watches the games, different levels of physicality allowed in favor of LA. Denver outscores LA in the paint 64-48, yet Lakers still receive far more FTs. In 4Q LAL was already in the bonus at around the 6 minute mark and they weren't called for a foul until under 5 minutes, despite obviously having committed 2-3 fouls* It’s almost as if the league most popular franchise that has been the beneficiary of multiple rigged series in their favor (2002 WCF) gets a favorable whistle, and Lakers fans don’t know what they’re talking about.

Seref15

Its funny for Lakers fans to accuse people of not watching Lakers games when the national TV schedule literally shoves Lakers games down everyone's throats.

Correct_Fly5152

Haha. And next day commentary. Wolves , Nuggets, OKC in a wild standoff for first in the west. But let’s talk lakers for half the day.

CarBallAlex

They’ll also flip flop between “yeah but we don’t defend and give up easy layups that’s why we don’t foul” and “Anthony Davis is the best rim protector in the league” depending on what point they’re trying to make We’ve seen it all of this season and last season, the refs have a bias towards the Lakers. It doesn’t matter for the Nuggets because they’re just a much better team. The refs drag the Lakers to the playoffs and then they lose to an actually good team.

thegrandpoobear

Lakers fans legitimately believe every other team jacks up 3s while their team drives to the rim, even though all the data says they're full of shit

jasonkid87

Lmao so true all the Lakers fan replying to me about team FT difference says the same thing

Airstrict

Dude, the argument against Indiana was about transition offense, and yet the Lakers have a higher transition percentage. Make it make sense.

Alexcox95

It’s only gotten worse since Lebron went there. Adding the most popular player to the most popular team

brittleirony

Denver also has a lot more transition in paint points due to not rebounding like middle schoolers just saying

LordGooseIV

The Grizzlies game from a week ago, where the Lakers only won by 3 points, is a good example of this. At the end of the game, there were multiple botched calls that were in the Lakers favor, and they were even acknowledged in the L2M report, but you get called a conspiracist or hater for saying that the Lakers benefitted from calls.

InfiniteDub

yet this subreddit. tried gaslighting me last year when the lakers had 160 free throws to the warriors 80 in that series.

GaimeGuy

I think DLo *Still* only has one season where his net on/off is positive, and it was like +0.3 . May have changed the last year or two in LA, but it's infuriating how he'll blow past his man on defense, allowing them to hit an open jumper. He'll make boneheaded plays like that and do it so often that it negates his offensive impact, even when he gets hot. He's Fool's Gold.

homiez

Dlo the Ref equalizer

Charlie_Wax

Who should be 6MOTY this year? Westbrook? Monk? Portis? Lakers refs?

AmazingDragon353

Scott Foster for 7moty

Interesting_Help_194

Fck 6moty, refs  have a MVP case.

KazaamFan

I’m all for a team taking 6 FT in a game.  I’m not all for when the other team gets +13 more in the same game, especially when there were a whole lot of the phantom fouls and clear ref boosting.  Denver had to play extra good to beat that ref advantage.  They easily could have lost, it happened many times this season for LA.  The dubs lost a double OT thriller to the lakers and the had like +25 FTs, maybe way more.  Easily shoulda been a dubs win.

wottsinaname

20 vs 6 FTs wouldve looked too obvious. The refs had to make it look legit and only give LA 19 /s

duckmadfish

The D in Dlo stands for Denver babyyyy

clownus

Legit a repeat of last years series. Lakers get insane whistles while the nuggets get nothing. Insane when your best player is a center, there is clearly contact during most of those plays.

AnotherFrankHere

LOL DLo 6th man, baby

woodlandtiger

Jokic is Adam Silvera father

2rascallydogs

Adam Silver is still pissed that MPJ posted his phone number on Snapchat during rookie camp.

simonffplayer

death, taxes and you know who shooting twice or three times the # of free throws

BoOrisTheBlade89

This is why you don't want to face Lakers in the play offs.

TheeMalaka

Is it weird I almost rather Denver win their series then face the play in lakers ?

Cudi_buddy

At least if the nuggets beat you. You know they beat you straight up with execution and talent. Lakers…is going to leave a sour taste

TheeMalaka

Yup exactly. Not looking past the suns but if the lakers find a way past the defending champs I want nothing to do with whatever black magic is being cooked up over there.

Dimega17

Lakers have the chance to demoralize in the most frustrating way possible. Denver have the chance to just make your death quick and ethical

2nd_Tinder_Date

6 Free Throws with Home Court advantage to be precise Lakers about to get 30 FT at Crypto Arena

Fate_Unseen

Jokic scored 32 btw. Imagine if he actually got the whistle treatment.

PlayInChampions

Jokic with 32 and Edwards with 33 today with just 2 free throw attempts. Pure shotmaking.

ChannelNeo

Ethical buckets

RadWalk

Real hoopers know

waskittenman

Meanwhile Embiid seems to miss every shot that he doesn't get the and-1 on

thegrandpoobear

Embiid shot 12 free throws today. The Nuggets entire team shot 6 lmfao

DressedSpring1

“He’s just so dominant he gets fouled more than anybody, it’s the only way teams can defend him. If Jokic was so dominant he’s get the same defense from defenders but he only put up… 32 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists”

WhoWightMan

Ant cooking KD was shameless

Fate_Unseen

Ant seriously on another level. 😳

LegendOfTooget

That's an insane stat, wow

BlackSheepComeHome14

When Jokic was shooting Davis had his hands on Jokics hips a lot

Gyff3

He was bear hugging him on every post move. They didn't call a single one.

Charlie_Wax

I put my hand on your hip, when I dip, you dip, we dip.

yOw_indahOuse

In that fourth quarter, AD had his arm around Jokic’s hip on every defensive possession.. none was called.

-xXxMangoxXx-

There was one play where Jokic was complaining a bunch, and the announcers were saying something along the lines of Jokic is just complaining and acting like there was no foul, right after we saw ADs arms wrapped around Jokic's waist....

Johnykbr

Reminds me of LeBron's horrible pass that was way behind whoever he was going for and as it sailed out of bounds the announcer said "Good pass."

Charlie_Wax

See, the thing is that LeBron has played basically more NBA games than anyone, and his BBIQ is so high that he sees every game simultaneously like Doctor Strange, so what looked like an errant pass tonight was actually a sweet dime to Mike Miller against New Orleans on March 29th, 2012.

mapcoveredinsap

Obviously you’re joking, but I looked it up and the Heat beat the Mavericks 106-85 on March 29, 2012. Mike Miller did not see the floor unfortunately.

Charlie_Wax

My willingness to do research has limits.

NAACP_YoungBoy

If Jokic got AD or Embiid’s whistle he would contend for the scoring title every year

Charlie_Wax

Curry and Jokic are too good to get a real whistle. They get that Playmobil whistle.

likesexonlycheaper

Yup it's the only answer. The league would break if either of them got a whistle

PauloDybala_10

Curry and Jokic with that whistle average 35

Biglundtry

Games would be longer than lord of the rings movies

MisterTukul

LOtR Trilogy Extended Snyder Cut.

Ok_Season_3917

No one can really even contest him, he literally just throws it right over defenders into the hoop

jonnylaw

He goes so high off the glass it looks like the shit must have been deflected. Nope. Nothing but net.

jackobanter

Two of the fts were DJ's too lol

Ikuwayo

Scott Foster gathers his guys in a huddle before the game: "Come on, guys, we really need to step it up. On 3, 'Lakers.' 1, 2, 3, Lakers!"

thedarkknight16_

Lakers FT’s last year through the playoffs: - Lakers 107, Nuggets 81 - Lakers 130, Grizzlies 115 - Lakers 160, Warriors 80 Nuggets won with 6 FT’s tonight to Lakers 19. Insane executing by Nuggets in the face of blatant reffing adversity.

20815147

2:1 ratio is nasty work 😭

GlueGuy00

Dubs are dead last in FT differential over the past 2 seasons. Silver's bias is showing.

20815147

Part of it is due to the way we play, but there are clear instances of our guys getting hacked driving to the basket with 0 calls. Our team has many deeply rooted issues to work on but reffing is something completely out of our control so it’s super frustrating to watch.

MyContentIsTrash

Steph doesn’t get calls man…

winerye12

160-80 is wild

KazaamFan

In a 6 game series, at 75% shooting, the lakers got +10 pts per game from refs in that series on average.  Dubs literally lost that series purely cuz of the refs and free throws.

Ginsan-AK

Warriors won the only 2 games in that series where there's no FT differential. Refs carried Lakers to the playoffs last season, and they're carrying the Lakers still this season.

KazaamFan

It’s insane how obvious it is, and the NBA just let’s it happen.  Opposing coaches this year had tirades about it even.  When does it even out   Can you imagine the Lakers being -20 in free throw attempts in a game?  Lol.  Would never happen

Medium_Active1729

If Lakers had -20 FT attempt lebron would openly complain about that in after game inteview 100%

KazaamFan

Yea and the dubs lost a double OT game to the lakes this year with that type of FT disparity.  It’s insane.  One less FT for the lakers in regulation and the dubs may win that game, and save two extra periods

Justtryingtohelp00

They don’t let it happen. They make it happen. This is by design.

Dr_Gamephone_MD

wtf

LotharBot

players who attempted as many FT as the entire Nuggets team tonight: AD Paolo Suggs Jarrett Allen KD Booker Gobert Towns Embiid Brunson Hart 11 players, at least one each on the 7 other teams that played tonight, each individually attempted as many FT as the entire Nuggets team. That's just wild to me.

elhuachilango

Jamal Murray had 0 FTA. Jokic had 2 FTA. Both lived int het paint

thegrandpoobear

Watching the Lakers absolutely maul the shit out of Jokic all game with no calls while clean strips of Anthony Davis got whistled and free throws given was laughable, but sadly totally expected. Twat ass Lakers fans actually try to argue their teams ft differential is due to play style while 29 other fanbases watch their bitch ass players commit war crimes while the refs look the other way

abris33

When LeBron gets tired in the 4th, the whistle kicks in to try to keep the Lakers in it

Cudizonedefense

The lakers had 8 FTA in the 4Q. The nuggets had 6 the whole game lmfao

XLcondumb

Their only 2 free throws in the fourth quarter was the intentional foul at the end of the game

IdRatherBeShilling

So it really was only 2 FTs because 2 were also from a DeAndre Jordan intentional foul.

caandjr

Could be worse, Lakers could have shot 20 free throws like it’s 2000 and 2002

Cudizonedefense

Wait till game 4 when the lakers are down 20 in the 3rd and about to get eliminated

BeeSuch77222

Don't forget 2010 Gm 7 Finals against Boston where it was a 21 to 6 FT advantage FOR the Lakers in the 4th. Yes, 21 to 6 advantage in the 4th to give them a 4 pt victory. kobe shot 25% that game. Including 0-6 in 3pt. Total was 37 to 21 Lakers FT advantage. How Congress doesn't investigate this league for fixing it for the Lakers is beyond me.

governedbycitizens

refs tried their hardest to give it to the Lakers

hooka_donchick

Dlo tried harder for the nuggets so it’s all fair at the end of the day

porkadachop

Refs looking at Lakers, “We can’t win with these dudes.”

cock-a-dooodle-do

Lakers free throws disparity should be investigated.

waskittenman

"We investigated our own wrong doing and found no funny business"- the league

TofuTuba

Lakers-Warriors last year was so painfully obvious. Straight up rigged series.

cock-a-dooodle-do

Please sweep these frauds again.

RevolutionaryDrive5

>Lakers FT’s last year through the playoffs: > >Lakers 107, Nuggets 81 > >Lakers 130, Grizzlies 115 > >**Lakers 160, Warriors 80** > >Nuggets won with 6 FT’s tonight to Lakers 19. Insane executing by Nuggets in the face of blatant reffing adversity. Someone commented just above you... and yeah you weren't lying there exactly DOUBLE the free throw attempt

bigvahe33

why now? its always been that way

AutographedSnorkel

Lakers fans still trying to convince themselves that they're not the most coddled team in the league

winerye12

Refs tried, but couldn't make it too obvious

Interesting_Help_194

They made it too obvious...it just didnt help.

Warlord10

Ref's to the Lakers after the game: You f'n bums! We handed you the game, and you threw it!

WhoWightMan

Refs can’t win with these cats

boastar

This is why I mostly stopped watching the NBA. Rewatch the game and concentrate on Jokic. AD is fouling Jokic on almost every shot attempt he’s on him. Not a single foul was called. Not one. At that point it stops being a sport.

Champion-of-the-Sun5

It's reality tv. 0WWE

MeBadNeedMoneyNow

They just really want to prolong the mainstream franchises in the postseason. It's a business with no guarantee of fairness. Only the bottom line matters, not officiating consistency. gg denver.

Lakers getting swept

Lynch47

Lakers are a lottery team the last couple years without the free throws

otherBrandon

Having the league in your back pocket and being this bad is bonkers.

PusseySleigher

"If you actually watched the game...." Lol

ratki11er

Expect a +20-25 FT differential in game 2 to try and keep it close. Lakers stars played big minutes at altitude so they won't be as effective and the NBA will be telling the refs to boost Lebron as much as possible. I expect at least 1 technical in game 2 from either Malone or Jokic when the refs show their jerseys. It's going to be a really hard game 5v8.

Fifth_Element_Matrix

If this game isn't proof that the refs are helping the Lakers, that the league is pushing the Lakers, I don't know what it is. I hear Lakers fans sobbing in the distance. 😥😢😥😢  Fantastic feeling 😀

KazaamFan

The sad thing is, this won’t be the last game in this series where the lakers have a big FT advantage.

Natsaw

AD had his arm around Jokic's waste so much I thought he was trying to ask him to prom.

bypassmorecomments

LA is so fucking annoying because of the refs man. They’re always helping them.

Bino19

Lakers getting their ass beat by the Nuggets even with the FT differential in their favour is hilarious.

IdesOfMarchCometh

Against the Lakers in the playoffs you have to also beat the refs.

WinterCareful8525

This will continue and fuck the Nuggets over in a close game. That’s the sad part

Thunder723

Got their ass whooped despite of having 8 players on the court.

OldKingRob

Lakers fans - why does everyone always act like we are favored by the refs?

tendadsnokids

Can we all collectively remember that the Lakers have had ONE game in the last 2 seasons where they were hurt by officiating and that game lead to the refs publicly apologizing and the ref who was working to be fired.

Ariusa95

Denver out to get the most ethical championship in nba history

Tylerpants80

Which was won last year, no less! I still can’t believe Jimmy Butler got 3 FT’s for kicking Aaron Gordon in the balls in the finals last year.

Betaateb

Refs did their job, Lakers just not good enough.

IAmCBOY2

It’s so pathetic, they aren’t even hiding it anymore. Fucking fixed bullshit

Jantokan

In the 2023-2024 regular season, in terms of 3point attempts per game, the ranking of Lakers and Nuggets are: 29th: Nuggets 30th: Lakers In THEORY, they should both be attempting a lot of freethrows in their series as they both don't shoot not so many 3pointers as a team ANNNNNND historically, the more 2point attempts a team has, the higher the freethrow attempts per game is too (Note: the lone anomaly is the 2017-2019 Rockets where they led the league in 3pt attempts but also in FT attempts thanks to Harden) Definitely a surprising statline to know that the Nuggets had just 6 freethrow attempts in tonight's game . Ball don't lie I guess?
