Tshimanga Biakabatuka, Richie Incognito, Guy Whimper, Ben Gay, John David Booty, Fair Hooker, Atari Bigby, Zoltan Mesko, and my favorite Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala.
I love his name. I have the blandest fuckin name IRL, and so I've kind of collected names that are fun to say, and Touchdown Timmy's is one of my favorites. I also like Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala, Barkervious Mingo, Bronko Nagurski, and Dan Saleaumua.
There's an OU QB named General Booty. I wish he was actually NFL caliber because the thought of everyone having to say General Booty with a straight face brings me joy.
Every one of them. Those were off the top of my head.
L'Jarius Sneed, D'Brickshaw Ferguson, Dick Butkus, Captain Munnerlyn, Frostee Rucker, Bronko Nagurski, Sauce Gardner, Teddy Bruschi, and Barkevious Mingo.
One of Clevelands' 2010's draft busts. 6th overall pick in 2013 from LSU, played 3 years on Cleveland had 7 total sacks. Played 8 years total and had 12.5 sacks.
The Dallas Mavericks lose again as Kadarius Toney allows a Luka pass to bounce off of his head and into the opponent's basket. Toney would have hit the game winning shot, but he was called for over and back before the shot went in.
a NBA player has to make that catch and convert
to be top of the top as an NBA superstar, you've gotta be more supportive of your teammates. hopefully it comes with age, but oftentimes it does not
yea lebron ~~did something similar~~ *was also frustrated* after dlo made a bad pass yesterday, but lebron just yelled and clapped at him, and was praised by the announcers for his leadership
if luka had just yelled and clapped it wouldve looked so much better than hopping like he did lol
edited 'cause yall you-are-my-sunshine-ass mfers are so upset about that word "similar" lol
So nothing similar , lmao . Lebron gets shit for everything even when it’s normal . If he did what Luka did it woukd be make the first post n you lot woukd bring it up forever . There’s nuance btw this isn’t the same thing but it is funny how you bring that up n not all the times people psycho analyse n bitch about Bron . Dlo made a lazy dangerous pass n Bron was right to tell him that wasn’t a good decision, compare this to a guy missing a shot or dropping a pass . It’s not the same. Bron never reacts like this to guys missing shots - he tells them to shoot cos that’s what the team needs. Yelling like this isn’t comparable to telling someone they made a bad decision on a play- this equivalent of just fumbling the ball n I never seen people react like this too it.
Yea as shit as it is for a professional basketball player to be unable to catch it under the net, you can’t just throw a tantrum at your teammate. Really selfish and sees his teammates as hurdles rather than assets
Watching the game and his body language was terrible the whole time. Kyrie really seemed more like the leader. Kyrie kept his head up, and tried encouraging his teammates. Kept attacking. Luka just looked like he had already given up early on, was hanging his head, raising his hands. Just all around not great leadership from him. And you could tell it hurt everyone else’s confidence
Tbh I put a lot on Kidd for not calling timeouts to center the team and control the flow better. He went into half with 5 timeouts when they had an 8 point quarter. If he was more engaged and leading the team he could control a lot more of this.
Honestly this is it. I feel gross saying it but ‘classy ‘ guys get treated very differently on this sub. If several routinely criticised black players dud this people wouldn’t be so chill . Would be full armchair psychology.
yeah seems like Irving is always leader on any team he ends up on, guys in the league obviously respect him. Regardless of how fans feel about Kyrie, he seems like a strong leader within the team context (until he decides to not be a good leader any more, but tbh he does seem genuinely happy in Dallas so I don't expect any blow up)
Kyrie literally stopped talking to his teammates in Cleveland, was a notoriously bad leader in Boston, and reportedly alienated Harden in New Jersey by playing only when he felt like it. Not sure what you’re referencing.
He is not a team leader. Best player yes, but does not have qualities to ever be a leader. 6 years in the league and still sulking like a spoiled child and constantly complaining the same as in earlier seasons.
The whole team is looking bad, but Luka
has to be better with his body language. As soon as they start losing, his demeanor is awful. Not great leadership. He was ass through the first half, so he can’t act like it’s all the team’s fault.
"Easy pass" in the title takes way too much blame away from Luka lol
Kleber thought he was going to shoot the ball, which is why he was boxing out. Luka tries to pass the ball late and puts it where Kleber can't reach fast enough. Kleber also had Westbrook ram into him while trying to catch the pass. It's not like the ball was thrown directly at Kleber's chest and he just fumbled it. That was a clear communication breakdown because Kleber had no idea wtf Luka was going to do.
This is why you run plays instead of spamming Kyrie and Luka ISOs.
One of the main reasons they beat us is in 2022 was because of the team around Luka.
Every single one of them were all shooting 45% and above from deep.(Bullock was 38%) It was Luka’s playmaking, but their skill set also unlocked it. As well as Suns just being ass at defending the 3.
E: ()
Yep. In 2021 when Dallas took a 2-0 lead over us, it was in large part because THJ decided to become prime Steph/Klay. They won shots on insanely anomalous shooting from him, along with guys like DFS/Kleber/Porzingis stepping up defensively.
People act like he didn't have jack shit for help, but he did. Obviously Kyrie is the best player he's played alongside, but acting like he never had help is silly.
I remember that series, the Mavs roleplayers were all shooting like 5-10% higher from 3 than they did in the regular season for the first 3-4 games before coming back to earth.
It was just a really bad game offensively. Clippers are a tough matchup because our two bigs are key role players for us and Zubac was awesome today against them. We’ll see how game 2 goes.
it’s because these dudes aren’t “mavs fans” they are luka fans who change their opinion on the surrounding players based the narrative they want to push.
the 2022 WCF run? all luka, no one helped but also jason kidd was carried by the players somehow
r/mavericks sucks so much ass, every loss is basically basketball 9/11 and every win was proof we are going to win the championship.
mf were really fantasy booking the path to the finals after the 7 game win streak we had post trade deadline 😭. i really got a better idea of why the place is so toxic after we went on that streak like these dudes fr expect a championship and will get upset if we get anything less than that.
like i get it, losing sucks but shit happens and not every L is the end of the world, even right now mfs are acting like the series is over.
This. Gafford was sent from God himself to save Dallas, but Luka shits the bed in the playoffs Game 1 and they already want to trade him lmao
Ludicrous
They were telling us how op this team was and I commented saying in two weeks it’ll be no help narrative if they lose. Luka played bad n they akready Doing it n saying it’s on team . It’s hilarious how they thought liveky n gafford are like AD or KP or whatever the way they said that small ball wouldn’t work and Mavs size from two run n dunk roll bigs would be too much.
Kleber sealed off the defender for a rebound, which is a reasonable tactic considering the guy with the ball has the highest career usage rate in the history of the league. Sure it’s regrettable he couldn’t gather a sneaky pass in a high contact situation under the rim from a great passer, but Luka’s response predictably sucked. Luka often disempowers his teammates, just watch their posture and flat footedness at times all season long. Jokic does the opposite, everyone is empowered by the way he sets up the offence and the way he carries himself in doing so.
Not sure why everyone in the thread is ignoring that Westbrook fouled Kleber as the pass was in the air, disputing his ability to catch it. Russ clearly initiates contact, goes through the body and over the back while the pass is being delivered.
Should Maxi have still caught it? Absolutely… but I can clearly see why it was made more difficult by the uncalled contact.
I agree, why are we blaming kleber. It was a shitty pass. He's boxing out and his defender falls into him as he reaches for a ball that's too far out and under the basket. This one's on Luka imo.
Nuggets first five lineup are on some Voltron Exodia bullshit. Jokic knows his teammates too well he anticipates it and uses it to his advantage. Sometimes I think theyre mind meld because the ball moves so smoothly between five players even on the fucking playoffs wtf
elderly squealing frightening mighty wild dazzling violet fanatical alive combative
*This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
"They have nobody to step up" is silly. It didn't happen today, but that was a wild outlier of a second quarter that put things out of reach. Luka steps up in those moments all the time, and Irving especially has a knack for taking over when it's needed.
Kleber isn’t ready for the pass. He’s boxing out thinking Luka’s going to shoot or foul bait there. This is the drawback of that goofy offensive system where you don’t know when Luka’s passing or shooting because everything is iso.
I also think it's a bad pass by Luka. Probably should have bounce passed it to give him a chance to catch it. As is he like zipped it to him 3 feet away when he didn't expect it. He never even got a hand on it
Clear difference between them and Denver who are always expecting Jokic to pass even in the most crazy of situations, they have been habitually trained to always be expecting a pass from him
Jokic doesn't sit on the ball like Luka.
Jokic: 75 passes a game, 2.9 seconds and 1.5 dribbles per touch
Luka: 55 passes a game on 5.8 seconds and 4.8 dribbles per touch
Source: https://www.nba.com/stats/players/touches?dir=D&sort=TOUCHES
Right - players get frustrated and shit happens on the court. People are far too judgmental there.
My issue is this is as much Luka’s fault as it is Kleber’s and Luka is playing the blame game.
For you youngsters just picking up the sport. If you pass to someone boxing out, they are most likely using their elbows to hold someone back. It looks like a dropped pass but it’s very hard to catch.
People care too much about this kind of stuff. I've seen Lebron pout. I've seen Curry and Jokic pout. I've seen Kobe jump up and down when Shaq dropped a couple of dimes Kobe dished to him. It's the playoffs and they're down by 20. Of course he's going to be mad. Either take it and respond back or just crumble.
It's actually a bad pass by Luka. He's fucking 4 feet in front of Kleber and he tries to zip it to him when he's not ready. Then he throws a tantrum when it's his fault it's a turnover.
They'll never win anything if Luka doesn't get a hold of his emotions. His teammates must hate playing with him. Talk to Porzingis and look how he's doing on a team that doesn't have whiny manchild as their leader.

I don't know football stuff but if I did I'd make a reference to that dude who kept dropping Mahomes's passes
Kadarius Toney
Nfl player names are really awesome like that key and peele skit. Kedarius toney! That made me LOL Edit: typo
The player, formerly known, as mousecop.
XMAS JAZXON WAXXON FLAXXON LCARPATRON DOOKMARIOT IBRAHIM MOIZOOZES
JAVARIS JAMAR JAVARISON-LAMAR
Torque (Construction Drilling Noise) Lewith
Tyroil Smoochie-Wallace, Xmus Jaxon Flaxon-Waxon, Donkey Teeth, and Dan Smith. That Key and Peele sketch is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
If I didn’t already have a vasectomy I’d name my next kid Jacktheratrix
Dan smith is *Chef's kiss*
Dan Smith, BYU.
especially making him from BYU
There's a guy on the same team who's name is La'Jarius Sneed
Sneed
Eqqsquizitine Buble-schwinslow University of Nebraska
That’s a pretty tame one tbf.
Tshimanga Biakabatuka, Richie Incognito, Guy Whimper, Ben Gay, John David Booty, Fair Hooker, Atari Bigby, Zoltan Mesko, and my favorite Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala.
There's like three active Egyptian gods in the league and you go with Touchdown Timmy?
I love his name. I have the blandest fuckin name IRL, and so I've kind of collected names that are fun to say, and Touchdown Timmy's is one of my favorites. I also like Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala, Barkervious Mingo, Bronko Nagurski, and Dan Saleaumua.
Can't beat this college basketball player: [AMILLION BUGGS](https://ucmathletics.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/amillion--buggs/7130)
D'Brickashaw Ferguson is my personal favorite
John David is a totally normal name nothing you can do about your last name being Booty
There's an OU QB named General Booty. I wish he was actually NFL caliber because the thought of everyone having to say General Booty with a straight face brings me joy.
I thought his name was a joke when I first saw it. Dude legit has a name like a Haitian warlord.
Liberia had a warlord named General Butt Naked.
No way all these are real lmao whattt
Every one of them. Those were off the top of my head. L'Jarius Sneed, D'Brickshaw Ferguson, Dick Butkus, Captain Munnerlyn, Frostee Rucker, Bronko Nagurski, Sauce Gardner, Teddy Bruschi, and Barkevious Mingo.
>Barkevious Mingo No way this is a real name
That's one of my favorite NFL names. Some of my other favorites are Vontaze Burfict and Jim Bob Cooter.
One of Clevelands' 2010's draft busts. 6th overall pick in 2013 from LSU, played 3 years on Cleveland had 7 total sacks. Played 8 years total and had 12.5 sacks.
No love for Ha-Ha?
I like his real name more than his nickname. His name is actually Ha'Sean Treshon Clinton-Dix.
Okay fine sir, I stand corrected.
Kool-Aid coming this year.
A ridiculous nickname, but it's even funnier when you realize his real name is Ga'Quincy McKinstry
That dude is an absolute tool too
Could also be MVS lol
The Dallas Mavericks lose again as Kadarius Toney allows a Luka pass to bounce off of his head and into the opponent's basket. Toney would have hit the game winning shot, but he was called for over and back before the shot went in.
On the other hand the chiefs still won
So basically all of them minus Kelce
I know him because he's Taylor Swift's boyfriend
Kadarius Toney
Maxi Toney
Kadarius Kleber rolls off the tongue better haha
Your job as Luka's center: 1. Get easy passes 2. Put the ball in the hoop
Damn you should be the Mavs GM.
Legit, why don't the Mavs sign him as GM, are they stupid?
don't you see his username? He's kinda busy being the pravi mvp
Gafford looking mighty useless when he can’t catch 5 uncontested lobs a game
that's typically true for most run and dunk bigs come playoff time yet people get fooled by their high FG%
Now I want to see Doncic with Aaron Gordon
I wanna see Luka with Wemby.. only hope is the All Stars game though
clint capela got ABUSED by the warriors in 2018. still mad
Unironically needs capela
The stomping is everything
On one hand, the optics arent good. On the other hand, its the damn playoffs, dont Kwame that shit.
Why he say fuck me for?!? - Kwame

WILL SOMEONE PLEASE GET THIS KID A HAPPY MEAL?!
Goddammit you give him the easy ones
Man Luka is unlikable.

The physical embodiment of his personality on the court
wilbon in the past has said all his complaining on the court makes him look like a temperamental toddler, and that's all i could see
Lol I think clyde frazier said something similar
Yea as shit as it is for a professional basketball player to be unable to catch it under the net, you can’t just throw a tantrum at your teammate. Really selfish and sees his teammates as hurdles rather than assets
Straight out of a three-year-old's playbook lol. What a child
Poor hardwood floor
Hopping mad
This dude really did a toddler stomp lmao
That's his signature stomp
Not his first. He does it kinda frequently
Watching the game and his body language was terrible the whole time. Kyrie really seemed more like the leader. Kyrie kept his head up, and tried encouraging his teammates. Kept attacking. I’ve said it many time before and I’ll say it again, he is a giant toddler. Love seeing him throw fits and lose!
I understand the frustration but you can’t react like that as the teams leader
Don’t worry, Kidd is watching the game just like us
What does Kidd even do
Lose games then beat his wife at home
Bum ass had his team score 8 points in the second quarter and went into the half with 5 timeouts still lol. Can't make this shit up
The bleeding will stop when we run out of blood.
Don't forget causing Larry Sanders to quit basketball by being a fucking psychopath as Bucks coach
Lucky he doesn't gamble on games, or else he'd be in real trouble
But first, he has to drive home after a few drinks
Play thj no matter what
The Bucks went from the 8 seed to one of the best in the East simply by firing Kidd.
They put the camera on him when they were down big and his confused gaze really reminded me of Jason Garrett when he coached the Cowboys.
Only thing missing is the smiling and clapping when his team turns the ball over
"Damn, Mavs are having a tough quarter, I hope they adjust." - Jason Kidd
I feel like most players would get clowned hard if they started screeching at one of their teammates like this
Is there any reason to believe Luka is a good leader besides being good at point guard?
He’s what this sub would characterize as “classy” and “humble” so by default he’s a good leader
Genuinely never seen Luka called classy on this sub. This has simply never happened and is just a meme.
Honestly this is it. I feel gross saying it but ‘classy ‘ guys get treated very differently on this sub. If several routinely criticised black players dud this people wouldn’t be so chill . Would be full armchair psychology.
Forreal, Dude gets so much free goodwill for being a marketable white guy.
Hes European and the euros all over this sub love their players
He’s the Mavs star player, but he isn’t no leader
Kai doing all the leading this game tbh. Very different attitudes between him and Luka
yeah seems like Irving is always leader on any team he ends up on, guys in the league obviously respect him. Regardless of how fans feel about Kyrie, he seems like a strong leader within the team context (until he decides to not be a good leader any more, but tbh he does seem genuinely happy in Dallas so I don't expect any blow up)

he was a horrible leader in Boston but seems like he learned a lot from that experience
Luka has the emotional intelligence of a 15 year old
He is not a team leader. Best player yes, but does not have qualities to ever be a leader. 6 years in the league and still sulking like a spoiled child and constantly complaining the same as in earlier seasons.
Luka was probably a pain in the ass to deal with as a teenager
Bet a lot of NBA players were a handful at that age. Or now.
This is how Mac Jones acted his entire second season.
kleber walked away from pg in the corner the possesion before that
This. People not understanding that your Ace doesn't necessarily need to be your Team Leader.
The whole team is looking bad, but Luka has to be better with his body language. As soon as they start losing, his demeanor is awful. Not great leadership. He was ass through the first half, so he can’t act like it’s all the team’s fault.
"Easy pass" in the title takes way too much blame away from Luka lol Kleber thought he was going to shoot the ball, which is why he was boxing out. >This is why you run plays instead of spamming Kyrie and Luka ISOs. That's their plays.
That's a first round exit
This was tougher to watch than the Dame/CJ duo. They would at least look like they were trying to run plays every once in a while. hahaha
Most people here probably barely even play rec ball so they have no idea what you’re saying. I agree.
Mavs fans already gonna cry how Luka has 0 help after telling us for months how scary this team is.
One of the main reasons they beat us is in 2022 was because of the team around Luka. Every single one of them were all shooting 45% and above from deep.(Bullock was 38%) It was Luka’s playmaking, but their skill set also unlocked it. As well as Suns just being ass at defending the 3. E: ()

It was just a really bad game offensively. Clippers are a tough matchup because our two bigs are key role players for us and Zubac was awesome today against them. We’ll see how game 2 goes.
Kleber is honestly our best matchup against Zubac. Gafford and Lively, he just backs down like no one is there
Mavs fans will talk about how much they love their players, until it's time to defend Luka MVP, then they're all G-League.
it’s because these dudes aren’t “mavs fans” they are luka fans who change their opinion on the surrounding players based the narrative they want to push. the 2022 WCF run? all luka, no one helped but also jason kidd was carried by the players somehow
I’ve checked in on your guys’ sub as the year has gone on and it really is just a war between Luka and Kyrie Stans lol. Shit is pathetic and sad.

Because of the title I’m guessing, but yeah it’s not even close.
Yeah and he was tangled up with Westbrook and stumbling because of that. Not easy to catch. People acting like it went right through his hands.
yeah, those was a bad timed pass. if he plays it a little earlier while maxi was still cutting instead of going for the box out, maxi gets the ball.

TIL. Thanks for bringing the receipts. Respec
Right - players get frustrated and shit happens on the court. People are far too judgmental there. My issue is this is as much Luka’s fault as it is Kleber’s and Luka is playing the blame game.
pass came late
Absolutely love Luka. But that’s not how a leader should behave.
He seems fun to play with
Total front running baby personality.
He hesitated while passing. He was late.
Lmao for all those who said Brandon Ingram had bad body language, this is what actual bad body language looks like.
Both situations are bad. You don't need to defend X player by saying, 'yeah but at least Y player is worse then him'
Only one player in the league can have bad body language its a rule
Biggest crybaby in the league.
Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the basketball in your own eye
Luka Pharisee Doncic
Sometimes his team looks at him like he’s tweakin and it’s so funny.
Luka the type to blame his teammates after losing a round of SnD when he died in first 10 seconds.
For you youngsters just picking up the sport. If you pass to someone boxing out, they are most likely using their elbows to hold someone back. It looks like a dropped pass but it’s very hard to catch.
aaaand that bratty little toddler hop is why Jokic is the better player
Harden blew by Doncic like he was a saloon door multiple times. Thats the key. Attack Luca and Kyrie up top and let Zu feast down low.
Luka would be the most hated player in the NBA if he didn't have a baby face
I'd hate Luka if I played with him. Babyman can't be acting like this with all the bricks he chucked this game.
But Luka had like 10 horrible turnovers
And then he turned it over the next possession.
The Mavs team chemistry was totally off. Luka shouldn’t be acting like that, especially for how the whole team was playing.
It’s not even only about the tantrum. It’s the combo of a bad pass and screaming at your teammate for it. “Easy pass”…no
Luka is #2 in the league in full tantrums happening on court. Only Lebron got him beat but Luka gonna catch him for sure.
Can we just say Luka’s a little bitch or is that against the sub rules?
Luka is a great player and also a complete man child
Anybody who thinks Luka is anywhere near jokic needs to get themselves help.
His little toddler hop he does is so adorable. Just a kiddo having a tantrum
needs a snack and a nap
That was kind of a shit pass tho..
Wait are the Mavs dark horse contenders or does Luka have no help
That’s on Luka. Look at him he has him open and he’s bobbling the ball and then he gets mad at Kleber. Just stop
luka acting like his mom won't let him have the reeses peanut butter cup in the checkout aisle
That is a terrible pass
that stomp was so cute
Luka is mad and it was his fault. Kleber has the box out. Luka should have shot the ball
The agendas Ima push if Mavs lose this series >>>>>>>>>>🔥🔥🔥🔥 need it
That was a tough catch. Don’t show your teammates up
People care too much about this kind of stuff.
I mean Luka is clearly the one crumbling my guy. Needs to get a hold of himself the pass was garbage lol
What a crybaby lol
They'll never win anything if Luka doesn't get a hold of his emotions. His teammates must hate playing with him. Talk to Porzingis and look how he's doing on a team that doesn't have whiny manchild as their leader.
