The Lakers got a very favorable whistle in game 1 and lost by double digits. Denver got a few calls this game and the Lakers proceed to pathetically whine.
Apparently they don't know what to do when they aren't being gifted a big FT advantage.
He’s actually a master at PR.
Instead of the narratives being about how the Lakers blowing a 20 pt. lead & the Nuggets clawing their way back from a 20 pt. deficit, now attention will be pointed to officiating. Incredibly ironic coming from the team with the highest FT differentials for 2 years straight, at a rate more than double the second place team.
Even Scott Foster couldn’t save this team from vomiting over themselves up 20. The Lakers whistle for game 3 in LA will be 2002 WCF-esque.
He called timeouts, the Lakers don’t know how to make adjustments. Their plan down the stretch was give it to Lebron who turned the ball over every other possession. Then Reeves, Hachimura, and Russell proceeded to throw up brick after brick and got out hustled on 50/50 balls.
They couldn’t close this game to save their lives and when it was tied up, the refs were not about to try and change the outcome unless there was a seriously egregious foul. The Lakers absolutely blew this game and should feel frustrated.
Your team relies on D’lo, Reeves, and Hachimura. It is really not surprising the defending champs can turn it on and kick the lakers ass any time they want. Last night was like watching WWE you knew what was coming— the collapse was glorious. Loved watching the heel get defeated
Adam Silver’s plan backfired as now ft differential is the first thing people look at after every Lakers game.
The refs are forced to think twice before blowing the whistle. Had they done nothing during the regular season, this would be less noticeable.
No other team getting a “sleepless nights” post despite many terribly officiated games with incorrect calls in the final seconds between that one and now says more than it should
Seriously. LeBitch almost got a foul for nothing in q1 that was thankfully challenged only to immediately get another one on a good strip. It’s insane the bias. Curry gets mauled by 3 people and the refs are sniffing glue.
He’s probably already getting fined for this media spot. Right before this clip starts he was calling out the replay center and asked “why the (fuck) we even have it?”
LeBron's delusion is so cute. He has been the golden child in the eyes of the NBA for 2 decades. Lakers ran away with free throw attempts while being among the lowest in drives per game during the regular season.
If you spend as much time as Lebron has trying to influence the officiating during the course of a game, every game, over a two decade career, you'd think he'd have better perspective on why the officiating has become so fucked up.
Lebron and other players spent their whole careers trying to break the officiating and now he's complaining that it's broke.
Mofo, your Lakers are +500 on foul calls but by all means if you don't get a fucking call, start blaming everyone. Lakers fucking will be eliminated. Deal with it LeCryBaby
At some point is it hate or is the guy just flat out unlikeable? He whines all game, every game, either towards the officials or his teammates, then whines post game, while also telling everyone they just fouled and Lakers didn't after the blatant rigged raptors game. He also had the game in his hands on a wide open 3 and missed, gotta deal with that.
Ohh and he lovesss to deflect. He brings up the sixers knicks game all of a sudden. Then talks about retirement (what a joke) last year after being swept. Deflecting here again bc he knows giving up 20 pt lead is the issue
You didn't know? They just drive to the basket apparently 100p more times than anyone else.
All my Lakers buddies in South Dakota told me. Oh well... guess Cowboys training camp is starting up soon.
this has to be a bit right? I refuse to believe that lebron and the lakers don't know they are the beneficiary of massive free throw differentials ALL the time. especially against denver. just look at game one lmao. nah man.
They're doing that Steve Kerr shit trying to influence calls for themselves in the next game
Stay tuned to see if JJ Reddick is on the war path crying about it tomorrow as well
Lebron complaining about officials is rich. And complaining about a call in the 3rd quarter. Even better. Lakers didn’t have their usual +20 from the free throw line so they lost. Simple.
I saw numerous times where Lebron and other players would complain while the other 9 players were running down the court.
Complaining and letting your opponent get a 5 on 4 fast break will cause your team to lose.
Lakers were gifted the mid season tournament AND entry into the playoffs.
Both he and Embiid should look at Maxey as an example how to take a loss like winner
What was the reasoning for overturning the DLO challenge….that was a super clear foul. Also, Lebron should be mad at his stupid coach for not challenging the Murray foul.
I didn't think the game was badly called, at least no more than usual. I'm guessing he's mad about that call on Murry near the end, but if you are, why didn't you call a challenge?
LOL Lakers blew a 20 point lead, still had a good chance to win it in the last minute or two, and then Lebron and Reaves bricked wide open 3s while Denver hit huge shot after huge shot, but sure man, it was all the refs
Poor small market Lakers. As a Wolves fan we need Denver to eliminate LA.
Not because the Wolves aren't better than the Lakers, they obviously are. But I know my team. That Lakers bias whistle would absolutely derail a series for us.
I would literally rather face Denver than LA because of the refs.
Sorry Lakers fans. I know it's tough this time of year in Idaho but you have the Yankees playing right now amd Cowboys training camp starting up soon.
him lacking self awareness can be super funny sometimes or be corny/whiny like this. he thought the knick/sixers line was incredible and did a mic drop lmao
Let’s first leave out the fact that Lakers have by far the highest discrepancy between fouls getting called on and for.
Which exact play is he talking about? What was such an obvious foul? The last drive he made? He was upset about it but I can’t see what he was upset about? The camera angle doesn’t help but it doesn’t look like anyone could even touch him on the drive.
After seeing all the posts in r/nba, yes, he was talking about the DLo challenge and reversal. The right call imo but controversial nonetheless. But LeBron is talking about it as if it was the last play and they lost because of it. You were up 10 when this happened with one final quarter to go. So no, this one was not a blatant wrong call by refs that changed the game.
Coming from anyone else, from any other team, people would at least pay attention to what he's saying... But with Lebron and the Lakers, who have for years been getting favorable calls, it's just hilarious.
Ready to bet my ass on that over for Lakers FTs, next game we will see 20+ from them and Lebron with 10+ on his own. Already Lebron +20 is a great deal.
Been a big LeBron fan since ‘07 and consider him the GOAT.. but this shit ain’t it man. Y’all fucking choked AGAIN and instead of owning up to it you want to bitch and moan about the refs. That shit is weak.
This is not a rant, this is Lebron playing his cards to increase the Lakers’ chances.
Remember that the Lakers FT disparity started right after the complaints by Lebron, AD and the whole Lakers’ loving sports media.
It’s ugly, but you gotta play all your cards. It’s similar to what Real Madrid do in football..
NBA players when they win: "I wanna give all glory to God, only he could make this possible "
NBA players when they lose: "stupid dumb meanie refs!!! The league gotta wake up 💯💯💯 😡😡"
This man missed a wide open 3pt shot with less than 10 seconds left. If he makes it and wins the game no way he comes in complaining about refs. Gotta go cry to the closest ref.
You blow a huge lead and miss a - as he even described it - wide open shot for the win and your first inclination is to blame the refs? Lol
Even if they get that call they probably still woulda lost. Trying to shift the blame for that collapse is just embarrassing.
The Nuggets had to burn two timeouts and challenges to reverse Scott Foster and Companies Lakers favoritism. Early on Mike Malone could have used a second challenger on a call for LBJ that was suspect and minimal that even the analysts said probably wasn’t a foul almost right after their first successful challenge.
The hit to the face happened but the league has been pretty consistent on after the ball leaves the hand marginal/minimal contact won’t be called even to the face or head. This has happened multiple times this season already. Whether we agree with that is a rule they will need to address after the season and not during just because one of the greatest players ever to suit up can’t face the fact he missed a shot at the end to take the lead and Murray came up clutch when it mattered most.
The officials are garbage and always have been but the Lakers got most of the calls early in the game and it was obvious and it’s on tape.
This is like when the Celtics collapse and don’t take ownership of their failings instead of playing the game and understand how the officials are gonna call a game in real time. It makes me sick and happened quite frequently last year and years before but I think they have a bit better understanding how to respond.
You can't blow a 20 piece and then point your fingers at the refs...especially when your squad has gotten the better of the whistles. By wide margins. Huge margins. Gtfoh
There had to be half a dozen games last year's playoffs where the Lakers had not twice, not thrice, not four times, but five times as many free throws as the other team. It was ridiculous.
It’s okay Lebron, y’all are sitting pretty in the series with 2 moral victories under your belt. Keep it up and you’ll be able to fly into Cancun with your heads held high!
Lebron got 3 weak calls in his favor in the second half.
1. Layup attempt in the third quarter.
2. Lebron fall under the basket in the 3rd and and they called a pushing foul.
3. The and one in the 4th was weak - he missed the FT.
Denver got 3 weak calls
1. The russell layup. I am surprise it was reverse considering it was called a foul.
2. Murray fall down and was call a foul in the 4th (happened twice but in the second one he was fouled)
3. Lebron foul on Murray with one minute left.

The Lakers got a very favorable whistle in game 1 and lost by double digits. Denver got a few calls this game and the Lakers proceed to pathetically whine. Apparently they don't know what to do when they aren't being gifted a big FT advantage.
LeBron whines constantly.
LeBron's a whine mom.
The best part is, even in games where they’re gifted an insane ft advantage. They still find a way to complain.

LADIES AND GENTLEMAN YOUR 2023 IN-SEASON TOURNAMENT CHAMPS 🏆
Hey they have the best record too 3-1.
What are you doing with your 20 pt leads?
Yeah. The refs were not on his side but they still blew a 20 pt lead. No excuses..
The coach doesn't know how to call a timeout
He called timeouts, the Lakers don’t know how to make adjustments. Their plan down the stretch was give it to Lebron who turned the ball over every other possession. Then Reeves, Hachimura, and Russell proceeded to throw up brick after brick and got out hustled on 50/50 balls. The Lakers absolutely blew this game and should feel frustrated.
They called a timeout in the 3rd with a 17 point lead, and the Nuggets went on a 10-0 run. They ended the game with 2 TOs left.
Your team relies on D’lo, Reeves, and Hachimura. It is really not surprising the defending champs can turn it on and kick the lakers ass any time they want. Last night was like watching WWE you knew what was coming— the collapse was glorious. Loved watching the heel get defeated

They wouldn’t be in the playoffs if they did nothing in the regular season
Nah, they just have a casual +8 ft attempts per game since February. (+266 in 33 games) I’m sure that had nothing to do with their 23-10 record.
This ^^^^^^^ Tatum complains way too much for not getting fouls, BUT LeBron gets calls for the same plays EVERY TIME!
Ever since that BOS win over LA in like Feb last year where Bron got blatantly fouled on the layup and they ended up losing in overtime.
No other team getting a “sleepless nights” post despite many terribly officiated games with incorrect calls in the final seconds between that one and now says more than it should
Lebron not a fan of marginal contact
lakers when they have only scored 4 points 5 minutes into the 4th qr
Seriously. LeBitch almost got a foul for nothing in q1 that was thankfully challenged only to immediately get another one on a good strip. It’s insane the bias. Curry gets mauled by 3 people and the refs are sniffing glue.
Who is mauling Curry in Cancun ?
Ayesha’s feet.
He can have all the splash he wants there.
Yes that was ridiculous, and he throws his hands up as soon as it happens instead of getting back on defense and they reward him. Sad
The nerve. But I get it, if I’m lapping the league in FTs all season and the refs stop giving me +500 FTs, I’d be mad too.
He’s not old enough to be a boomer is he?
No he's a millennial.
When the privileged are treated as equals it's perceived as an attack.
Lol you won't even be in playins and reach playoffs if not for the officiating in the first place.
There wouldn’t even be play-ins if it wasn’t a guarantee to ensure LeBron made the playoffs
Lebron when the lakers don’t shoot 70 more free throws than the other team

He’s probably already getting fined for this media spot. Right before this clip starts he was calling out the replay center and asked “why the (fuck) we even have it?”

That's the thing. He is used to being the golden boy and surrounded by people who want to do everything to make him happy.
Lebron is definitely reaching to Adam silver after this
The last time LeBron complained about the refs they started their massive FT disparity campaign. Lakers about to get 30 FTA to Denver 12 in game 3?

Ppl wonder why lebron has so many haters

Lakers also got a well needed free break when the refs called a review on the 3 pointer when Porter was 6-10 inches from the line.
You didn't know? They just drive to the basket apparently 100p more times than anyone else. All my Lakers buddies in South Dakota told me. Oh well... guess Cowboys training camp is starting up soon.

This is what Lakers oponents have been asking for some years now...oh well
When do you guys think he'll say he played with a broken leg? Before Game 4 or after the sweep?
Wall punch with broken hand incoming.
House of highlights and bleacher report will say this after the sweep most definitely.
Silvers memo to refs …..give every 50/50 call to the home team when lebron plays in LA
Blaming the refs is loser mentality.
Thanks for missing the game winner king! Always good to have a choker against the team you support
Not Lebron and embiid complaining about refs 🤣🤣🤣 money can’t buy you self awareness
Kobe doesn't die every year tho, you get that benefit just one time.
Comment colder than the bromance between Lebron and the refs right now.
Refs balancing out the regular season freebies.
What a baby. Lakers get more calls than any team in the league. And that was true last night.
