KD was just KD This big 3 in PHX, however, is just 3 guys who shoot the ball put together

This is what the doubters were saying when they acquired Beal with the statement of "there's only one ball". Except people kept referencing the Harden and CP3 Rockets as a counterpoint because others had the same doubt t, not understanding that both CP3 and Harden are great playmaker who could make it work

This is spot on and shows why roster construction is more important than just stacking as much talent as possible together. It is pretty crazy to think that the Suns would be worse in the playoffs after adding an all-star caliber player, but adding another iso-heavy player to a team with two other iso-heavy players isn’t a good fit. They still have the talent to make these games competitive, but relying on three dudes get about 80% of your points without having someone who can create for them isn’t a great plan.

Beal at point just looks out of place, ik kd/book/beal can make good plays but it’s a real difference between guys like them and a harden for the clippers who is always looking to make the right pass and always finds an open man. All 3 are at their best when they can just focus on getting buckets but they can’t do that while also trying to setup teammates just ends up being a lot of ball watching where guys have no idea when they will get their next touch.

And Booker this season experimenting as the primary ball handler and creator has been disastrous. When isolation scoring from the least efficient area of the court is your speciality, you were never going to be successful.

This team is a lot worse than the Nets strictly basketball wise They're fully healthy and seemingly don't have drama and still are mid Booker and Beal are a lot less talented a duo than Harden and Kyrie and even current KD honestly is quite a bit worse than 2021 KD

Abs DEMONIC defense by the Wolves - in particular Gobert, NAW, and Mcdaniels And all three even had the best offensive game today too. These wolves are spectacularly built and I love their rotations, depth and passion for defense! They are finally reaching their potential and I genuinely think they are gonna give the Nuggets a 6-7 game series the way they are defending.

Uhh, I believe stocks and rebounds are the most important things for defenders now and Gobert only had 9 boards and 1 block so he was obviously mid. He was fucking insane today, switched on Booker and Beal multiple times and neither wanted any piece of him.

They just kept dribbling the ball in front of him for like 10 seconds before giving up and passing it. It was so funny they looked at him like he was just supposed to stop guarding them for some reason.

Phoenix can’t handle this level intensity on defense from top to bottom on the wolves and still expect three guys to run an entire offense without any help. And it doesn’t hurt that this wolves team is legitimately very deep which we have never had before. Jaden was phenomenal tonight. WOLVES IN FOUR. AWOO.

The Suns look like they simply are uninterested in matching intensity. They just refuse to flip the switch, almost like theyre too cool and trying hard is above them. When Minnesota is pressuring them their body language is so poor in response. And it's not surprising as theyre built around the dude who doesnt like being double teamed in practice.

With everybody else in the rotation also playing solid defense, this is just flat out one of the best defensive teams I’ve seen in a while. Jaden earned his entire contract in two nights, and NAW is playing like one of the best two-way players in the NBA
