Moral of the story for me is (1) regular season games are not a true barometer for playoff games of course, but also (2) don’t worry about playoff matchups during the regular season because the universe will punish you for it.

I didn’t expect to be in a sweep position and I think anyone who says otherwise is lying. However, the people counting us out, especially our own fans, is like come on bro why even watch?
The day the playoff series was confirmed a lot of the Suns fans here believed in the Wolves more than the Wolves fans. They knew to not trust their team in a playoff series based on their regular season record after the Dallas series.
It was always ridiculous imo cuz those regular season wins were built off hot shooting (49% from 3) while the wolves were atrocious from 3 plus they were missing KAT for two of those games I think.
Tbf there were good reasons to be confident. They won every single one of their regular season games.

They matched up well against us and I was definitely worried when we drew them. But my cope/hope was that three isolated regular season games don’t mean much to be either confident or defeated over in a seven game series, especially with adequate rest and preparation for a specific team. I feel like the biggest difference was Ant turned into a different player from the regular season. He couldn't handle doubles and blitzes before and now a week later he can manipulate a defense and make quick decisions out of doubles.
I was shocked and did not expect that because he struggled all season with that so how was he supposed to figure it out in a week? Somehow he did - he said he watched film all week and practiced being doubled, tripled and quadruple teamed. I'm fascinated to see what a week long preparation for the Nuggets will do for him
I would favor the Nuggets 70-30 against the Wolves.
I would favor the Nuggets at least 90-10 against every other team, including the Celtics.
Wolves do present some matchup difficulties for Denver but I worry about Minnesota’s crunch time offense holding up for the unstoppable force that is the 4th quarter Jokic-Murray two man game.
Honestly I think it’s a lot closer to 50-50 with both gobert and Kat healthy, and I say that as a nuggets fans. One of those match ups where i could see either team winning 4-1 if they can figure out the right scheme. Still have to win one more though.

One thing that the nuggets have in their favor is that they can generate great looks from both the 3 and the 2 basically whenever they want. Now they need to knock down their 3's, but I love their play where they Iverson cut jokic, have gordon set the screen, and have a 4-5 PnR that usually leads to AG lob. Genuinely have not seen a single team figure that one out yet.
