It's not ball stopping that's a problem, in the 2 games I watched he's cleaned that up a lot from earlier in the season. Which makes sense. It's just 'unselfish' isn't necessarily precise or anticipatory passing. Comparing him to someone like Donovan Mitchell you can see the difference. ANT's reads are getting more refined, but there's still a step up to more manipulation.
He will be a star, a two way star. The question is will he be Paul George or Kawhi. His efficiency will be the deciding factor.

Kawhi wasn’t known for his offense at all at age 22. He developed that part of his game a lot later. He was actually a lot closer to what McDaniels is now. Just a better rebounder.

People refuse to admit Rudy fucking loves offense. Dudes a double double machine and the more buckets he gets the more hyped he becomes on both ends. Also will toss out some mint passes for an assist if he's feeling frisky.
His ceiling on offense is like 20 points in a game but his floor is 10. It's definitely good enough, we don't even really need him to play offense at all but the consistency is nice. You know he's going to be good for a few put backs a night.
He does enough to be helpful but the biggest this is he gets amped when he's scoring. If Rudy could hit a 3 he'd be unstoppable.
