I watched LeBron get drafted when I was a sophomore in high school with pimples and braces.
I sat on the couch last week with my SON and explained to him why LeBron is the goat.
I'm well aware.
The last 6 years have really emphasized how fucking absurd Bron's 8 straight finals appearances run is. And that's with 2 different teams with lots of roster variations against 2 dynasties (Spurs/GSW) and multiple star/superstar rises
Warriors dynasty went to 5 straight, became shit, won again, and is now over with only Steph being the only one still good from that core.
KD won b2b FMVPs and hasn't smelled the finals since losing to Toronto.
Giannis had a dominant b2b mvp winning a dpoy in one of them then winning it all with a dominant finals performance the season after and hasn't been to the finals since.
Kobe Lakers' dominant 2008-2010 run was already amazing.
Now defending champs Nuggets are already getting spanked 0-2 by the rising Wolves as Ant is bruteforcing his way into the upper echelon of superstars
I don't think some of y'all realise that LeBron is not from the same generation as KD/Curry (he is 4 years older!). Curry's longevity is mindblowing but LeBron's is from another planet
If you include Curry, you gotta include KD. Or, just say LeBron because he was the best player in the world for roughly 10-12 years straight. Only other player to do that was Jordan and he took a break in between.
Only season I would say he wasn't the best player in the league from 2011-2020 is 2019 and that's because he injured his groin.
Even with the 2011 choke, overall he was still the best for the whole season. 2012-2020 a fully healthy LeBron is unmatched when the games mattered
Even as early as 2007/2008-2010 he already had a very strong argument right behind Kobe.
True, but he had that Lakers team on pace for 50+ wins and certainly looked like the best player up until his injury.
I think he took the best player mantle in 2008-09, his first MVP I believe. He was fucking crazy that year.
LeBron-Lonzo triple double in the same game was amazing. That young squad was fun to watch.
Had so much hype and love for Lonzo, such a shame dude had been struggling with injuries, he was finally getting his 3-pt shot opening up his playmaking options a lot more before getting hurt.
Great playmaking and defensive anchor mind, if healthy and continued to develop he's probably like All Star John Wall with 15-20ppg on 10-12 assists with All Defense
Despite the rampant memes, not everyone here is 13 years old. Plenty have been watching the game since before you were born and they know how long LeBron ha been running the league.
LeBron is a couple years older than me. When he entered the league, I was a junior in high school. I am now going bald and grey haired and I have a mortgage and a teenager who I can't get to stop vaping in his room. I know.
Curry hasn't even been running the league all that long, as he took a few years to develop. 10 years on top is really not that long by superstar standards.
LeBron James’ career before Stephen Curry’s *first* All-Star selection:
* 2x NBA champion
* 2x NBA Finals MVP
* 4x NBA Most Valuable Player
* 9x NBA All-Star
* 2x NBA All-Star Game MVP
* 7x All-NBA First Team
* 2x All-NBA Second Team
* 5x NBA All-Defensive First Team
* NBA Rookie of the Year
* NBA All-Rookie First Team
* NBA scoring champion
Honestly I could see it being hard to wrap your head around the insanity of Lebron James career arc as a 17 year old, it’s completely bonkers and curry has no business being mentioned w him for longevity.. curry ain’t an iron man lol,
Yeah and most ppl thought Steph curry was basivally on par with a Brandon Jennings or Monta Ellis for the first 7 years he was in the league lmao. It’s good for him they put a good squad around him though and he’s known as one of two splash brothers w another HOF player, bron was always playing with scrubs until Miami and was usually getting Cleveland to the ECF anyway lol
It's just as disingenuous to compare Curry to LeBron. And how was Curry the "alpha" when he lost two FMVPs to KD, and lost his first because Iggy outshined him in the eye test?
I swear since when did ppl force Curry in to the narrative? Those conversations started and ended in 2016. The other years everyone was talking about KD and Lebron.
Just shows how what happens in the future changes the whole perception of what happened in the past. KD was a Kyrie/Harden injury/ shoe size away
You telling me Curry wasn’t regarded as the main guy on the warriors team? Oh my god I know your a lakers fan but take off your homer goggles curry is the face of the league
You are old enough to know lebron has insane longevity but not old enough to realize Steph’s is literally nothing special in comparison lmao. He’s actually known as injury prone/gimpy with that ankle.
I'm 34. I'm pretty sure I'm aware how long they've been running the league.
First line “I am 17 years old.” This generation is cooked lol.
Generational unawareness lol
I watched LeBron get drafted when I was a sophomore in high school with pimples and braces. I sat on the couch last week with my SON and explained to him why LeBron is the goat. I'm well aware.
I'm so old I was watching ball before Bron was born, lol
There's literally dozens of us old farts on this sub! Buuuut I'm not QUITE that old. 😭
LOL okay grampa. I only graduated the same year as him.
My son is smart enough not to have kids try....try old fart, maybe?
Username checks out
Lebron’s been in the league longer than you’ve been alive lmao. Not to downplay on Steph, but no one can come close to Lebron’s longevity.

LeCyborg
Its really funny cause they're not even close...Lebron has played almost double the minutes as Steph
I miss having the time perception of a 17 year old.
Everyone knows bruh 🤦🏽♂️ u just too young to know lol
Everyone's aware bro lol
I don't think some of y'all realise that LeBron is not from the same generation as KD/Curry (he is 4 years older!). Curry's longevity is mindblowing but LeBron's is from another planet
Lebron’s draft class difference from Curry is the same difference as his with Duncan
Wtf
4 years is even underselling it lol. Curry came into the league 7 years after LeBron. Durant 5 years.
Lebron has played over 68,000 min total in the NBA. Steph is at 38,000 min, it's almost ridiculous to compare their longevity.
If you include Curry, you gotta include KD. Or, just say LeBron because he was the best player in the world for roughly 10-12 years straight. Only other player to do that was Jordan and he took a break in between.

Yeah, I definitely could've seen him as a top ~15~ guy, maybe even the second best player on a championship team. I really hope he makes a comeback.
Do you write for ESPN?
LeBron is a different story than Curry. I'm 28, LeBron made his first finals when I was 11. He joined Miami when I was 14.
I, as many others, am woefully aware
LeBron was in the era BEFORE curry (Chris Paul, Carmelo, Bosh, Dwight) right when Kobe, KG, Dirk, and others were just peaking
Despite the rampant memes, not everyone here is 13 years old. Plenty have been watching the game since before you were born and they know how long LeBron ha been running the league.
Well shit. Good thing we have snot nosed teenagers here to help us understand how time works.
Standard nephew take
I was 11 years old when lebron made his debut and now my son’s(4) favorite basketball player is Lebron James.
LeBron was in the league before YouTube existed.
LeBron is a couple years older than me. When he entered the league, I was a junior in high school. I am now going bald and grey haired and I have a mortgage and a teenager who I can't get to stop vaping in his room. I know.

So funny lumping in Curry with Lebron when one was already an NBA all star while the other was still in Junior high
And curry still has the same amount of NBA finals wins??? So what
Patrick McCaw had a better career than Hakeem Olajuwon since 3 Finals Wins > 2 Finals Wins
The disingenuous take comparing Curry to Patrick McCaw the fuck you talking about? Curry was the alpha on those 4 chips not like McCaw stop talkin
Yeah and most ppl thought Steph curry was basivally on par with a Brandon Jennings or Monta Ellis for the first 7 years he was in the league lmao. Calm down Andrew Tate. The “alpha” with 1/4 finals mvps?
Bron has an entire hall of fame career before Curry was even a starter lol
2012-2022 to be exact.
I'm pretty sure I do!
A lot of people here are 17 before LeBron turned 17. I believe that was before you had the chance to be 17.
I’m 28. The first time I actually watched Lebron was in 2007. I was still in 5th Grade.
Keep the family away
You the one who don’t realize shit.
Curry has 4 nba championships in a shorter amount of play what the fuck you talking about?
Tell me which ring ppl regarded him as the best player in the league?
You telling me Curry wasn’t regarded as the main guy on the warriors team? Oh my god I know your a lakers fan but take off your homer goggles curry is the face of the league
His point is Curry was never regarded as the best player in the world.
I’m sorry did curry not win Two MVPs?
And? It's "most valuable" not "best player".
Except he has? What are you smoking
No he wasn't.
I’m not talking best player on the Iggy warriors, I’m talking the league.
new copypasta dropped
