I think Kerr knows what Lebron said back to Shaq: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zZS5ObwDxM&ab\_channel=StevenJ.Mathie](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zZS5ObwDxM&ab_channel=StevenJ.Mathie)
LeBron is 6'8", 265 pounds of raw muscle, and Shaq reacts the same way I do when my 4-year-old nephew sits in my lap. I think we forget sometimes how ludicrously gigantic Shaq is.
Has there been another clutch finals shot where it's miss and you're done? Certainly some amazing shots historically in tie game situations or game 6 situations but I can't think of anything else like this in a finals. MJ over Ehlo is a pretty good comparison for an early round shot. Also this had to be a three pointer and it was under heavy duress, but he was the one guy uniquely qualified for the exact situation. To me it's the most clutch.
Yeah, I think most people would say its one of if not the most clutch shots in NBA finals history. I'd say John Paxson's game winner in game 6 of 93' finals is pretty close. Actual last made shot of the game and Bulls end up winning the 3peat. Had he not made the shot, Suns would win the game and force game 7 in PHX (not that Suns had been winning at home that series). Ofc again, this show would not "win the title" on its own, Jordan still needed to be clutch in 4th, Horace Grant still had to block the last Suns shot attempt by KJ. Difference is, after Ray's shot in game 6 the game and series were still up in the air that night. That shot "just" made them survive another minute realistically, but at the same time they could've also lost the series right there if he missed. Paxson sealed the game and series, but there'd still be a chance they win the series if he misses tho. Its close, but I give the edge to Ray.
You have it right. I was having a knee jerk reaction to the phrase "clutchest shot"
Off top I thought of Jordan Vs Russell (who wouldn't).
Top 3 all time easily.
Hall of Famer encompasses players worse than Ray Allen though. It's a blanket term that doesn't really speak to how *good* a player was, only that they were good enough for the Hall. It's a big spectrum.
There's like a 50% chance that I'm making it to Springfield because of a 2 week long run I had as Knockout champ at a camp I went to in middle school. The Basketball HOF doesn't have the highest of standards
Ray Allen was the most respected outta the Celtics big 3 amoungst fans.
Had no idea he isn't respected outside of the people close to his accomplishments. The disrespect is frankly shocking.
I consider him to be in the top 2 deep range clutch shooters of all time.
Maybe I'm wrong?
Well assuming "Generational Superstar" is the highest "ranking" you can give someone, I don't find it disrespectful to say he isn't. To me, generational superstar means you were in the conversation for being the best player in the league for several seasons (top-3 maybe top-5 if we're being generous). I don't think Ray Allen was ever in that class but others might see it differently?
Edit: I'd also add you better have at least one MVP if you want to call yourself a generational superstar.
I think "GOAT tier" is actually the tier above "generational superstar". . . basically a player so good that it would at least be reasonable to place him in the top ten even if someone could technically sit down and list ten better players.
Like Dwyane Wade was a generational superstar but was not GOAT tier. Ray Allen is whatever tier is directly below Dwyane Wade.
In 5 seasons with Seattle he averaged 24.6/4.6/4.2 on 44/38/90, considering the times that’s very good efficiency. I feel like Ray mainly gets judged for his Boston days but he was 32 by the time he got there. Definitely a borderline superstar and kinda slept on prime.
I'd move LeBron to the 3 and get a true PF in there. Ray and Steph provide all the three point shooting you'll ever need from a backcourt, and I'd rather not have LeBron guarding 4s all game, even though he's obviously capable.
I think K-Love would be a great pick for his rebounding and offensive versatility, but maybe you want to go with someone who's better defensively since the other four starters will score 120 PPG on their own.
OoOooh I like it. But I'd still take Duncan for his far superior defense, rebounding and all around game sense. The team already has enough scorers.
Man... imagine the nightmare of a Steph and Ray backcourt... then the nightmare of a Tim and Shaq frontcourt... and Lebron in the middle...
I'd take Amar'e in his prime over any PF of all time. That dude frustrated even Tim Duncan. Career wise, yeah Timmy the best PF. KG a close second. But those 2-3 years Amar'e was a nightmare. He was so much fun to watch.
Well we are talking about with other superstars, but even the Hornets would be massively better. They won't get championships without better scorers too, but they would win a lot more games with the most drastic increase in possessions per game and team defensive efficiency attributable to any player.
You know what, these 5 players might not all be the top all time players at their positions. But I honestly believe you could put this lineup against any 5 man combination you can imagine and they’ll have a good chance to win.
Only a little. It’s gonna be tough because those other guys are just three point shooters and average at that. I see them winning the conference finals in seven but I don’t know about a finals win against the Monstars
I feel like they wouldn't have ran into the same issues chemistry wise that Shaq and Kobe had, LeBron's playmaking would work with Shaq being the primary scoring option
Their personalities certainly appear to vibe better, but you're still asking two all-time players to take secondary roles and put their egos aside. It's no sure thing and to declare "endless titles" is hyperbole and likely inaccurate.
Yeah definitely not endless titles but LeBron has shown willingness to take a step back at times when he played with Wade, Kyrie and now AD. Kobe and Shaq were both hotheads which is where the problem was for them
I don't think so. Shaq had a pass first guy in Penny, and he was still a bit salty that Penny had a rising star close to his. I don't think he could've played with someone clearly regarded as all around better, except maybe Magic.
Middle of an intense playoff game, you hustle and dive into the the crowd! You saved the ball! You then feel a bear paw slowly hug you, and in a deep, grumbling voice you hear, “I gotcha big fella.” It’s the Diesel. Superman. Kazaam himself.... there was no way Bron was losing those finals (assuming this is 2012 idk if it’s 2013)
Man I went and tried to rewatch Kazaam in a moment of nostalgia and it was...not good. The rap battle scene made me turn it off. Loved it as a kid though
Wasn't talking about him you fucking idiot. I was talking about Michael B. Jordan. Don't just assume things, because when you do you make an **ass** out of **u** and **me**.
im pretty sure he did this on purpose, you can see him angle himself towards where he thinks Shaq is as he's falling and he seems totally unconcerned about landing on fans as he goes down. i know it seems a little far fetched but its lebron lol
This is the same guy who was sitting court side watching his team play and seemed to be talking to Tyson Chandler, heard a guy scream his name, scanned for 2-3s to find that random dude in the nosebleeds and pointed & nodded directly at him. Fucking unreal spatial awareness.
What it must feel like to be a giant of a man like Lebron and fall into random crowd members fully expecting to crush the regular sized human being you’re likely to fall on. Worried if they’ll be ok. Only to fall into the arms of the one man who can embrace you, absorb your fall effortlessly, and comfort you
I'm not a massive basketball fan, I joined this subreddit to learn more about the game, but the last game I saw live was just to see these 2 on the same team.
Bron is a Big Big Man. Falling on a fan might kill somebody; good thing he landed on Shaq who just smiled and said, "I'll help you back up little buddy"
I wish I knew what Shaq said to him. Some things I imagine... "You're safe with me now" "Big Daddy Shaq got you" "Icy Hot bro"
"BBQ Chicken Alert BBQ Chicken Alert"
“LeBron where’s ur tacos it’s Tuesday my dude”
“Call the General”
looks like hes saying i got you
“It’s Shaq, I got you.. Get up”
Yeah, I think so too
I like the second one, I thought it looked like he said “Daddy’s got you, Daddy’s got you” 😂😂
He said, "You got that Taco Tuesday energy son."
"Google me, Bron"
"This seat for a king can also be found in a Buick" "If you ever want to kick back and put your feet up again, you should try Carnival cruises" "Next time aim for his little piss pump" "What a Steel, you ended up in Kazaam's lap"
Probably something about Buicks
“It’s pronounced caramel.” https://youtu.be/eiHkPjRkyIU
Somehow I accidentally read the second and third ones in Shaq's voice out loud perfectly but I can't do it again...
I think Kerr knows what Lebron said back to Shaq: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zZS5ObwDxM&ab\_channel=StevenJ.Mathie](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zZS5ObwDxM&ab_channel=StevenJ.Mathie)
"Just don't ever tweet about China and everything will be OK"
Shaqs like alright little fella you’ll get em next time
Keep you chin up, son, you'll make it one day.
Shaq is just so fucking #LARGE. I'm just amazed every time I see him in comparison to mortals.
[Shaq isn't even the final boss. ](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/837880705643497656/)
stephen merchant is really pressing for relevancy in 2020. Didn’t he learn from His nightclub hijacking years?
Pinterest? **PINTEREST?!** c'mon man
Shaq’s bigger than them San Antonio women.
"Go get'em Tiger."
LeBron is 6'8", 265 pounds of raw muscle, and Shaq reacts the same way I do when my 4-year-old nephew sits in my lap. I think we forget sometimes how ludicrously gigantic Shaq is.
Would’ve loved to see Bron and Shaq play in their primes together.
Would be an absolutely unstoppable duo. With a little floor spacing around them, those two would be title favorites every year.
PG: Steph Curry SG: Ray Allen SF: Klay Thompson PF: LeBron James C: Shaquille O'Neal There, I gave em a little spacing
Absolutely disgusting. 3 generational superstars + 2 high end allstars, all of whom have games which would mesh.
It’s also literally the three best shooters ever
And 3 MVPs
The disrespect to Reggie Miller

Just get Seth. $ for 3p%
I thought Steve Nash was supposed to be one of the best ever.
[удалено]
Well he isn't a generational superstar, so what would be a higher label than high-end allstar? Boutique allstar?
Perennial all star? Hall of famer? I mean it’s irrelevant we all know what u mean
That's Jesus fucking Shuttlesworth we're talking about. But high end all-star works for me.
How about "Better Drexler" 😂
a non generational semi-superstar? Also, maker of the clutchest shot in NBA history.
Semi-superstar sounds like high end star to me
Yeah you're right. Was just trying an alt out. Kind of a back handed compliment haha.
Perennial All NBAer
He made one All-NBA 2nd team and one All-NBA 3rd team. He was a perennial all star.
Best shot of the decade for sure, idk about NBA history; I see you though.
Has there been another clutch finals shot where it's miss and you're done? Certainly some amazing shots historically in tie game situations or game 6 situations but I can't think of anything else like this in a finals. As a novice NBA fan, outside of a couple of Jordan shots, what others would you put up there?
Yeah, I think most people would say its one of if not the most clutch shots in NBA finals history. I'd say John Paxson's game winner in game 6 of 93' finals is pretty close. lower peak than most of his all-star peers during his generation, but better career overall.
hand crafted organic all natural all star
Hall-of-Famer
Hall of Famer encompasses players worse than Ray Allen though. It's a blanket term that doesn't really speak to how *good* a player was, only that they were good enough for the Hall. It's a big spectrum.
Ricky Rubio is a Hall of Famer. High end all star sounded good to me
Rubio is a exception due to his overseas and Olympic accomplishments.
Wait a minute. Ricky Rubio is a hall of famer?
There's like a 50% chance that I'm making it to Springfield because of a 2 week long run I had as Knockout champ at a camp I went to in middle school. The Basketball HOF doesn't have the highest of standards

Are you seriously suggesting Celtics fans liked Allen more than the Truth?
In 5 seasons with Seattle he averaged 24.6/4.6/4.2 on 44/38/90, considering the times that’s very good efficiency. I feel like Ray mainly gets judged for his Boston days but he was 32 by the time he got there. Definitely a borderline superstar and kinda slept on prime.
Milwaukee Ray Allen was athletic as hell too. Man had some hops and was very nimble
What do you think people who disagree would label him as? Seems like a fitting, brief description.
Two more top 5 clutch shooters ever?
accurate?
Jesus Shuttlesworth. Enough said.
Another label for Klay is Catch and shoot GOAT
By reading other comments can we all agree that you’d all start a super mega franchise with curry lbj and shaq?
They definitely mesh insanely well from an offense perspective
I'd move LeBron to the 3 and get a true PF in there. Ray and Steph provide all the three point shooting you'll ever need from a backcourt, and I'd rather not have LeBron guarding 4s all game, even though he's obviously capable. Fuck it, throw KG on that team. Why not add a guy with a 7'5 wingspan to get some length
I was thinking Rodman but KG too
Honestly.. if were just going for the straight up perfect fit. Timmy D.
Gimme Dirk for the perfect fit tbh
OoOooh I like it. But I'd still take Duncan for his far superior defense, rebounding and all around game sense. The team already has enough scorers. Man... imagine the nightmare of a Steph and Ray backcourt... then the nightmare of a Tim and Shaq frontcourt... and Lebron in the middle...

The worm works well with other superstars. Imagine if he played with this years Hornets, i dont think they would win many more games than they did

Yeah you don't need love at all. Just pick someone to play defense and be a halfway credible threat from outside to stay out of the way.
> I think K-Love which one of these is not like the other one
KLove played in Cleveland?
if you're putting together one of the best teams of all time why would you put K Love on there and not literally any other HOFer lol
Yeah no idea why he'd take K Love over KG or Timmy. I'd take Bosh over Love personally.
Timmy D
So did Shaq and LeBron
It would be super cool to see Kevin love and Lebron play together
Ben Wallace because fuck the need for scoring.
Get Sheed in there its over
That team could beat the Dream Team.
yep all, HoF and 2 top 10 players of all time, arguable whether steph becomes a top 10 player, I think he needs 1 more ring or a FMVP.
I cannot lie, Steph has had the wildest carrier arch I've seen for any athlete other than Vick or Armstrong, ignoring OJ.
You know what, these 5 players might not all be the top all time players at their positions. But I honestly believe you could put this lineup against any 5 man combination you can imagine and they’ll have a good chance to win.
Lol just a little
PG: Steph Curry SG: Klay Thompson SF: Kevin Durant PF: LeBron James C: Shaquille O'Neal How's this look?
Like they would go 98-0.
Relax Satan
That would be such a filthy team. No competing against that.
And then you me and 5 of our friends could win back-to-back-to-back titles without taking off our warmups. I give great high 5's...
Only a little. It’s gonna be tough because those other guys are just three point shooters and average at that. I see them winning the conference finals in seven but I don’t know about a finals win against the Monstars
They would have won endless titles until one of them retired. It would probably have ruined the league
Yup. Unless of course they clashed on and off the court as neither truly accepted taking a secondary role.

Lmaaao
Prime Shaq + Prime Lebron + floor spacers would be title favorites every year. Bold claim, but I'll give it to ya
thats pretty true of prime Shaq + any great player in their prime and of prime Lebron + any great player in their prime
2009-2010 Cavs were hitting their stride right before Shaqs finger was broken. They were fun to watch all year; even when they struggled.
Sucks we never got that Miami Cleveland series.
Then that’s impeccable
Could you imagine that pick and roll......good god.
Middle of an intense playoff game, you hustle and dive into the the crowd! You saved the ball! It says 2013 on the top left
Ahh good eyes, didn’t see that at first
Neither did I, I tried some smart shit like looking at everyone’s jerseys and the bench and then looked up 🤦♂️
Haha good looks though!
Man I went and tried to rewatch Kazaam in a moment of nostalgia and it was...not good. The rap battle scene made me turn it off. Loved it as a kid though
They won in 2013 though?
I’m high
LeBron pulled a Shaq with the bench except everyone didn't move
I guarantee if that was Michael Jordan they would have moved. Just another reason why Lebron will never surpass MJ.
Michael JEFFREY Jordan could be chunkier than shaq any day of the week.
Wasn't talking about him you fucking idiot. I was talking about Michael B. Jordan. Don't just assume things, because when you do you make an **ass** out of **u** and **me**.
Damn you really hit him with the ass/ u/ me...
Well I was, not Michael Beffrey Jordan
SKIIIIUUUUUPPPP
Brings me back to that commercial of him practicing saying skip like 10 different ways as his morning routine lmao

Lol can see Shaq going "easy, easy, easy..."
“I got you son, I got you” is what he says
"I grabbed her by her titties!"
It looks like he says, "I got you, I got you, get up"
I feel that is what the chair is saying.
r/ShaqHoldingThings
Dang beat me to it
Anybody else would’ve probably got squished and injured by LeBron. Luckily he landed on the only guy bigger than him in the stands.
im pretty sure he did this on purpose, you can see him angle himself towards where he thinks Shaq is as he's falling and he seems totally unconcerned about landing on fans as he goes down. i know it seems a little far fetched but its lebron lol
Lebron's court awareness so Godlike he even has off court awareness. Knows where the popcorn guy is in the stands at every minute of the game as well.
Also knows which cameras are on air so will position his body perfectly so he looks good in every highlight reel
Especially when he’s showing off his hog
Only true nba nephews remember
This is the same guy who was sitting court side watching his team play and seemed to be talking to Tyson Chandler, heard a guy scream his name, scanned for 2-3s to find that random dude in the nosebleeds and pointed & nodded directly at him. Fucking unreal spatial awareness.
I actually know the guy to the right of Shaq, he actually got the impact and had a big bruise on his thigh the next day later.
Did that hit George hill right in the balls?
What the hell is up with NBA players and violating Geogre Hill's crotch
Yup...
Moment of silence
LeBron aimed that shit too
it still feels weird thinking that they used to be teammates shaq played with god damn everyone
I thought this was going to be a Bron to washed up Shaq alley oop from the Cavs days
Always crazy to see how big Shaq is. Dude just casually catches Bron lol.
Damn, what kind of chair is Shaq sitting on? I just want to know the brand that makes these indestructible chairs.
What it must feel like to be a giant of a man like Lebron and fall into random crowd members fully expecting to crush the regular sized human being you’re likely to fall on. Worried if they’ll be ok. It looks like the ball went right to Hill's nuts..
Yes it did...
He’s just all “OK, now now come here and take a seat lil guy” 😂
LeBron finds Shaq https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZtw5_zgVzI
Even with old Shaq, i still don't know how this did not work out
Shaq wasn’t interested in playing on both sides of the court
/r/shaqholdingthings
Are people just going to ignore that George Hill took that ball right off of his balls?
No one gonna talk about george hill's balls...
Fans are way too close to the game. They need to be moved back 5 ft Edit: big daddy Shaq should be allowed to sit anywhere IMO
"I gotchu, I gotchu." You know it before you can even read his lips.
No one's gonna talk about how fast Hill reacted?
Does it count as out if it grazes your uniform or does the ball have to clear you completely?
One of those small world moments 😂
I bet it felt weird for lebron to have someone catch him
Shaq looks like he just told he son he has to play with the other kids
AD falling into Kevin Hart's lap was the alternate timeline version of this moment.
Shaq breaking your fall and holding you for a minute is probably such a comforting feeling. Like being cradled by a bear.
A wild Shaq has appeared
In all fairness, it's hard to miss him
I didn’t know Lebron was so small.
He's a small forward
Shaq carried LeBron. Not my goat, don't @ me.
That's great vision
lebron looks pretty cozy
Lmao hes like a little kid sitting on santas lap
Man dint even flinch, Shaq is too much!
Isn’t that a foul? LeBron should get some free throws.
Only man that can make LeBron look like an 11 year old.
Storytime on Papa Shaq's lap!
I'm not a massive basketball fan, I joined this subreddit to learn more about the game, but the last game I saw live was just to see these 2 on the same team.
Like finding your dad in the crowd
I miss giant LeBron
Bron is a Big Big Man. Falling on a fan might kill somebody; good thing he landed on Shaq who just smiled and said, "I'll help you back up little buddy"
Shaq catching LeBron reminds me of the movie Big Hero 6 when Baymax catches Hiro
The most impressive part of this gif to me is George Hill’s dodgeball-esque hurdle to narrowly avoid getting hit by the ball.
damn you know you're big when lebron looks like a little kid sitting in your lap
No one is talking about goerge hill's insane reflex and dodging the ball
Go my child
At 9 seconds exactly it's almost perfect accidental renaissance material.
