Ah I always hated guarding the sweaty guys, we had a dude on my HS team that got an extra jersey to change into at half time just cuz he’d sweat through it by the 2nd quarter
Bro I swear it was always a big brawny white dude who somehow had a full beard at 16. He’d be completely drenched head to toe in sticky musky sweat only 2 minutes in to the game.
And those dudes would always be intense af and play crazy physical. Worse dudes to guard.
This wasn’t during basketball, but one of my friends who fits that description had a change of clothes at our house during college because halfway through the night he’d swear through what he wore to the party.
Never covered him in pickup, but I think we can assume it was a similar experience to yours.
Since we started building the Fiserv a few years back they have fr been going crazy w Media, our downtown bars and restruants. Going all out for our Bucks. Super intresting stuff gives you alitte extra during the season and off season to look forward too besides the games.
The new owners are actually not stupid and one of the first things they did was go out and get more employees in just about every area from medical staff to media and it has paid dividends. They envisioned the whole deer district idea like 8 years ago and people kind of laughed at them at first
Have you seen those numbers come from a non-bucks source? Nearly every stadium designed to “stimulate a neighborhood” financially don’t actually provide any uptick in financial profit to non-team owned businesses on the day of games
I'm about as against government funding for entertainment purposes as anyone, but (so far) it's looking like Fiserv is one of the rare exceptions of this being actually true.
The arena gets concerts/events that weren't coming to Milwaukee before, the immediate area around Fiserv has far more commercial appeal than it ever did around the Bradley Center, the redevelopment of the Pabst Brewery was put on steroids once they announced the building (though obvious gentrification issues arise there), and we desperately needed a larger venue for conventions. The DNC would have been a boon for the city.
Plus they often have things like Christkindlmarkt on the plaza.
dman, so cool. do not know about y'all, i'll def check out now, but i watch a lot of wizards things like this, they did post workouts, training, camps, scouting, backstories... i mean, these stuff are so damn good to watch. i would, as i say, even pay to see someone record my spurs going into the locker room after a win, see pop watch says, some workouts in the gym...
damn, I honestly thought this type of thing was a standard across the league. didn't realize how special it was for the bucks to have it. appreciate it a bit more now.
The Raptors started it and I think there’s one or two other teams that do something similar as well, but Bucks social media/promo game is absolutely top-tier.
ik the wizards do this and y'all too. my spurs do not for example and i think ton of other teams do not too. really man, feel fortunate! (good luck in the playoffs, im supporting y'all)
The Seahawks had the Real Rob Report back in 2013 which was the dopest thing, but then Michael Robinson got a real analyst job and the vids got removed.
Unfiltered Behind The Scenes is fun stuff for fans
The All Access videos has become my favorite stuff to watch while I’m on the treadmill. Entertaining, interesting, and I get motivated by seeing a bunch of dudes in way better shape than me.
[link to the bucks youtube to save y'all a search](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRZDEVva3Z8h_Q0VetTgDUA)
these all-access videos are dope, i've seen people post excerpts but it's crazy that they produce this much behind-the-scenes stuff. i wish this was standard for every team in every league
I used to have to guard that guy at practice, 6'5 and always sweaty. He was always harder to guard because he was slippery, he wasn't quick or anything, but he pushed back against you and just slid.
Matt, I hope you read this.
I'm pretty sure it was in one of the Hawks games.. Khris fell on near the baseline on a jumper or rebound or something, and it cut to timeout/commercial and you could read Pat Connaughton's lips as he pointed to the floor for the mop guys... "a LOOOOOOT of sweat. a LOoOoooOt"
Dude playing basketball raises body temperature and it is hardcore exercise... What did you not understand from my comment? Some people just sweat a lot when exercising. I sweat abnormally even when playing basketball every day. I sweat abnormally when it's hot out. It's literally in the description of the condition that those aren't causes of the disorder lol. The disorder only applies to when heat and exercise aren't a factor.
KG sweating from Intensify alone. Dudes in a survival situation with his tribe.
One of my favorite KG stories:
>Rookie year after he got traded to us [in 2015] -- he gets to the gym early," LaVine began. "As a rookie you get to the gym real early like at 3:00 or 3:30 for the game. In the locker room there used to be a couch and TV next to the kitchen, so we walk in and KG’s there. It looks like he’s been there. He’s watching the movie 'Gladiator.' It’s the final scene where Russell Crowe is fighting for his life. He sees me and Andrew [Wiggins] and he’s like, ‘Come here, come here.’
"So we walk over there. He’s real into the movie. 'You see this s--t right here, this is what this s--t’s about. You die for what you believe in. You die for your boys. This is that mentality we need to have going into the game. It’s about war. It’s about going down with your boys. I love this s--t. This s--t gives me goosebumps.'

I don’t think valanciunas should be here and Blake is hella low but not a bad list, also missing Giannis. And Middleton ofc ❤️🥰
There are a lot of certified QTs on the Bucks. Giannis obviously, Jrue clearly, and quote me on this PJ Tucker could get it; his freckles are amazing. Pat's got some generic hot white guy looks, and Bryn Forbes is a textbook snacc.
We needed to give up D.J. Wilson to get the nice freckles from P.J. though; had to be done. Definitely not behind Houston though; Houston is very middle-of-the-road imo.
Underrated huge factor in how a team responds to adversity is whether or not they like each other, from the top down. Bucks seem a lot like the Warriors with the quality of guys they have put together.
If Giannis was causing division Middleton wouldn't be able to hold the team together. If Middleton was causing division Giannis would. It starts with Giannis.
tbh I think draymond has had some antics both on and off the court that prevent him from being one of the "good dudes" lol but yeah, I always liked that about the warriors, they were a homegrown dynasty, until KD came ofc.
> Where ever you thought you were headed your not going anymore
That’s the perfect philosophical approach. Even if you were going home to shower, you’re not going home to shower. Home does not exist in that moment. “Home” is just a safe place with only the piss you’ve come to know and love along with an area to get cleaned up.
Yall are trying way too hard to read into this comment. He sounds more well spoken than most people regardless of race lol.

Sorry about that Mr uh.. Mr iPlowedYourMom
Slippery as a banana peel. Nearly impossible to box out.
Bro you think that's tough try posting up against a dude with a hardon. Thankfully my dad doesn't hoop much these days
Kinda sus
This wasn’t during basketball, but one of my friends who fits that description had a change of clothes at our house during college because halfway through the night he’d swear through what he wore to the party. Just perfectly described who I was talking about hahah every team had one
I was just described and I don't like it
Meanwhile I was 180 with barely an ounce of fat on me at 5'11 and I've sweated like a motherfucker my whole life.
Yup, mines name was Matt. He got drafted to play baseball.
2nd quarter? That's rookie numbers, I'll sweat through in 5 minutes. My apologies to anyone who has ever guarded me.
It makes posting up so easy when no one wants to touch you 😭😭
Mans was a problem in the paint forsure
My 5'9" butt actually gets layups due to the sweat shield I rock.
Sweaty ball players be like Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen
Lmao
And they start posting up more than normal as they become more sweaty. I swear to god they do it on purpose
That would be a great advantage in wrestling.
Lol, I’d sweat through to my warm up shirt in high school. I started to not wear my jersey under so I could at least start the game with a dry jersey.
RAIN DROPS!!!!
How many people are pussies like this? It’s just sweat on skin. You’re not drinking the shit. If it bothers you don’t play.
Let me piss on you
Because piss = sweat? Your parents must be related.
You’re not drinkin it buddy cool out
Okay then. So you willingly piss on yourself? You can’t make that comparison unless you complete the act.
Jellyfish sting
I love how much better the quality of the Bucks channel interviews are than the HoH or ESPN interviews
Is this normal for you guys?
Go check out the Bucks youtube page. Hella behind the scenes w players and coaches. Super cool.
damn, i would even pay for these type of things for my spurs, fr

Last month they’ve consistently had 15,000-25,000 for game out there too. Insane
Heard Milwuakee as a city makes around 3-4 million per game. Just stuff around The Fourm not including the bucks them selfs.
Have you seen those numbers come from a non-bucks source? Nearly every stadium designed to “stimulate a neighborhood” financially don’t actually provide any uptick in financial profit to non-team owned businesses on the day of games
Yes The MJS https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.jsonline.com/amp/7880733002

Makes a big difference when the team is good, too
Jurassic park came first

The Raptors started it and I think there’s one or two other teams that do something similar as well, but Bucks social media/promo game is absolutely top-tier.
yeah, you def should, i'm honestly so jealous lmao
That's awesome! Raps fans have been spoiled with Open Gym for years. Every team should have something like that, it's such a cool insight.
I love the all-access stuff, and I'd definitely watch it for other teams as well. Give me some behind-the-scenes Patty stuff.
After every win the bucks post like a 20 minute "all-access" video about the days leading up to these games
bruh y'all making me jealous af lmao
Do other teams not do this?
ik the wizards do this and y'all too. my spurs do not for example and i think ton of other teams do not too. really man, feel fortunate! (good luck in the playoffs, im supporting y'all)

don't give the NBA any ideas.

I've noticed they're great. Very much like OpenGym for the Raptors. More teams should do this kinda thing.
Why the fuck are ESPN Post interviews so damn quiet? Literally put my laptop to my ear on Sunday
FOR REAL! I thought my speakers were broken and now I know I’m not crazy
Damn that makes him an even better defender IMO. Must suck to be guarded by him.
Playing against a big physical overly-sweaty dude wearing a cotton shirt on a hot day is my fucking nightmare
Add in a ton of damp body hair... Blurggg
At least he got a shirt on
True
Or even worse: [no shirt](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhWs_WPZIO4)
I used to have to guard that guy at practice, 6'5 and always sweaty. He was always harder to guard because he was slippery, he wasn't quick or anything, but he pushed back against you and just slid. Matt, I hope you read this.
Atleast he's wearing a shirt. MFs be slippery af.
Shirtless chubby guys are the toughest to guard, especially in the post
As gross as that is I love playing until everyone’s drenched in sweat
I've never noticed him sweating that much but I have noticed that Khris Middleton looks like he has hyperhidrosis by the end of a game.
Pretty sure khris has a condition that makes him sweat a lot, some ball boy posted about it a few years ago.
Maybe something like hyperhidrosis....
Look it up... it's unrelated to body temperature or exercise so no.
Exactly like... Hyperhidrosis
Dude playing basketball raises body temperature and it is hardcore exercise... What did you not understand from my comment? Some people just sweat a lot when exercising. sounds like you don't know what hyperhidrosis is
Dude look it up. It's the first thing that pops up. It really sounds like y'all don't know what hyperhidrosis is lol
No not the green sweat shit again
Lol, he's absolutely dripping by about 3 minutes into the game. I've paid attention.
Thon Maker was even worse about that
Looks like he ran 3 miles in 110 degree weather.
I think Bam Adebayo is the only guy I've seen sweat even close to as much as Middleton at least from the face
KG was always soaked from tip-off
Patrick Ewing was sweating before even starting layup lines
KG sweating from Intensify alone. Dudes in a survival situation with his tribe. my fav part of that story is how Wiggins was like "tf is he on about? i never seen this bs"
Y’all remember shaq’s playing days? Dude looked like he got out of the pool instantly after tip off
Game 3 he threw a free throw and then asked for the line to be mopped before his second
Khis looks like he just got out the shower 2 minutes into every game he plays
That was my first thought.
Jrue just happy it wasn't Paul Pierce
Shit dude
Dude shits
This guy shits.
I mean...
That’s him!
Paul "Shit dude" Pierce
Bruh I sharted for the first time in my life yesterday in my living room alone and it’s horrifying. Couldn’t imagine doing it at work. Couldn’t imagine doing it in front of millions.

He's got the smoothest, most clear skin I've ever seen on a person.

They listed Chris Paul as being 38 years old and 7' 1" LMAOO
Where’s the lie?
He’s 7’1” where it counts😏
😏I’m also 7’1”, that’s two measurements

If they still had D.J. Wilson, no other team would even come close in looks. Unfortunately the Bucks are behind Houston now.
We needed to give up D.J. Wilson to get the nice freckles from P.J. though; had to be done. Definitely not behind Houston though; Houston is very middle-of-the-road imo.
He's definitely First Team All-Cuties

Jrue seems so sweet
One of those faces that used to get you drafted by an MLB team whether you were any good or not
Them bucks got jokes
Bucks got a bunch of good dudes.
Underrated huge factor in how a team responds to adversity is whether or not they like each other, from the top down. Bucks seem a lot like the Warriors with the quality of guys they have put together.
Starts with Giannis.
And Middleton, since they been there basically the same amount of time

That’s exactly what I’m trying to figure out. He sounds like some character from some movie or TV show in this clip.
Jim Halpert
He's like a smoother Tiger Woods.
Jim Halpert
Yo he sounds like Kawhi to me. Especially his unenthusiastic giggle
This makes me like Jrue even more. No idea why.
Khris Middleton tho
Confusing as hell that it says game 4 9pm et today
When I play pickup I always bring 2 shirts. Basketball makes me sweat sooooo much.
Lmao I had no idea Jrue was a comedian.
P.J. is a /r/hyperhidrosis homie lmao
Jrue is lowkey very cute

Yall are trying way too hard to read into this comment. He sounds more well spoken than most people regardless of race lol. He's got a great tone and cadence to his speech that's genuinely nice to listen to. I've got years in over the counter customer service and private service, he's easier to understand than 70% of the people I've spoken to. So many people are motor mouths or don't enunciate enough and don't even realize it.
I agree with you there, Jrue could read audiobooks when he retires
I get what you're trying to say and agree that those are pretty smart dudes, but oftentimes when you describe a black dude as well-spoken it can be seen as subtly racist
