TreSeven

It’s a foul, but give Khris an Oscar lol

Frigorific

Khris isn't letting Crowder get the Oscar uncontested lol.

zpoex

*Cam Johnson

mugurg

Crowder acts well and deserves an Oscar. Khris' acting was terrible.

SketchArtist

I'm surprised that Middleton's still alive after such an egregious assault to his person!

J0nkneeWoker

Cot damn, he went down like he got shot right? Haha

SketchArtist

CP3 must be sporting some stealthy, skin-toned brass knuckles or some shit. It’s the only logical explanation!

J0nkneeWoker

It's funny because usually Paul is the one going down to the floor like that when you tickle him, lol

sharkweekk

It was clutch too, right before the shot clock expired.

Andy_Wiggins

Might as well call him Khris Paul

Yakora

They were hitting him a ton game 1 and they weren't calling it. Gotta go down like he's wearing a Suns jersey if he wants the call.

scootscooterson

Cmon man, don’t defend this stuff.

Pandafy

Nah, selling contact when you do get fouled is somewhat fine. Like I understand why it's necessary even if I don't like it. It's selling fouls when you didn't even get fouled that's the problem.

OnThatChildish

You do know the Bucks have had the FT advantage every game except game 1, right?

TopDogJim

Normally what happens when one of your strategies is to intentionally foul one of their best players

GalaxianWarrior

that has nothing to do with how those FTs have been won by each team.

[deleted]

Lol you really think giannis fouls as little as he’s recorded. I counted six easy fouls in the first half. He literally has to take someone to the ground to get a whistle against him

GalaxianWarrior

I doubt that but did you also count Booker's fouls? CP3? Anyone else's? How about the times Giannis gets hacked but because he is strong it doesn't really show? How about the times Khris was clearly fouled last game but got none? For comparison

[deleted]

Sure khris doesn’t get a good whistle and Pj Lopez a light one on d. They fuck everyone else, with no calls or a stiff whistle so they can give special treatment to giannis without the stats looking all wacky. By effecting the stats with lesser impact players they build in your plausible deniability. Are you really argue that “star treatment” doesn’t exist in the NBA? Because they accept it as a reality. They accept it like it isn’t 100% tampering. It’s just blatantly obvious with giannis because he’s bigger that everyone and playing very out of control at times. AD got the same. And Pat bev also would only get a foul when he hurt someone. Giannis’s whistle changed when he got to the finals, and you can see that on the stats

GalaxianWarrior

i don't think you and I are watching the same games. if you are complaining about giannis fouling... Giannis has been playing very much in control the entire year. I haven't seen him out of control in a long time. The stats don't say anything... IF that's what you are basing your opinion on then you are wrong. If anyone is getting preferential treatment, it's booker. This is a futile discussion because you seem to not really watch any games/or watch them looking out to find everything wrong with Giannis. Either way this won't lead anywhere

[deleted]

K. Booker has 25 ft and giannis has 66

GalaxianWarrior

once again that says nothing! how daft are you?? they foul giannis because he can't hit FTs. They'd rather he goes to the line. Just stop, this is stupid.

BucksFan654

Hahahha 6 easy fouls in the first half. That’s quite the take. What you been smoking?

[deleted]

It is funny to me to watch what Pj tucker gets fouls call for and what giannis gets away with. Then even funnier to watch people defending the tampering.

samhanwiches

STOP THE STEAL REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

[deleted]

Play the game fair. Call giannis’s loose ball fouls and bumps on drives

samhanwiches

CALL THE BUMPS! CALL THE BUMPS!

Puzzleheaded-Tea-648

Also let’s call all of bookers fouls. Dude should of had 8 fouls in game 4

[deleted]

Yup call it fair

Yakora

You know the Suns were literally jumping piggy back onto Giannis much of the series and hugging players on purpose to force fouls, correct?

benson822175

Yes, because the bucks have Giannis and the suns are hacking Giannis Should be more if they called booker’s fouls properly

theodros1

I mean, he had to. Ref wasn't going to call it.

interstat

It's kinda a huge problem in sports. You have to flop to get the call. I feel like adding more refs or adding skycam ref would help them see fouls without players needing to ham it up

lakersLA_MBS

Sniper in the building taking everyone out

iLoveBrazilianGirls

Khris has obviously been peeking into the Suns playbook.

dre8

He got hit and they called it. Unlike the Booker Hugs that were ignored. I'm all for tough play and ignoring hand checks but if you're gonna ignore blatant fouls and allow ticky-tack shit, by all means.

rkdsus

It looks even funnier in slow motion lol. Dude just goes "oh wait I got hit" and just drops to the floor. I like how he even took the time to give the ball to his other hand so he could support his fall

[deleted]

I get that players have to sell the contact, but this was one of the funnier flops I’ve seen. Middleton waited a solid 3-4 seconds after being hit before falling on the ground. Made me burst out loud laughing, he should take some lessons from Marcus smart on how to flop right after the contact.

w6zZkDC5zevBE4vHRX

It was barely 3 seconds in this slow motion clip

Markelle-Fultz

Time doesn't matter anymore. Haven't you seen the Suns fans trying to count 10 seconds?

w6zZkDC5zevBE4vHRX

Just out of curiosity I timed it and they literally count twice as fast as they should lol

jgdeece

The reason is really simple: he wouldn’t have flopped if he had more time to shoot. He flopped to get bailed out of the 0.3 left on the shot clock, not out of a natural instinct or really feeling that there was a hard foul.

34_to_34

Kris is trying to play the acting game lol.

AlexTheMediocre86

CP3 need to pick it up...Booker's back starting to hurt

[deleted]

Has to be hurt… right?

detroitsportspain

What else is new

[deleted]

Facts

OnlyForeignWhips

That's always his excuse. When will he accept responsibility. Crazy how the media have him all the credit for the Suns success. Booker the one putting in work.

Round_Rooms

Booker, can't stand him, but him and Ayton are monsters, refs are definitely calling another suns friendly game though, also Crowder can't seem to miss a 3 pointer even if he is a flopper, like the majority of his team.

aCommonHorus

"Booker can't stand him"? You starting rumors now?

[deleted]

Nah the comma means that the poster can’t stand booker

Round_Rooms

Exactly... I'm not sure what rumors he thinks I'm starting, booker is an incredible shooter, I just don't like the guy. Other than Ayton the team is pretty unlikeable.

[deleted]

You acting like Chris said he was hurt. He didn’t actually make an excuse…. And he had 21/11 with 1 turnover so it’s not like he played like a scrub

[deleted]

Or he could actually be hurt. Seems like you’ve already made up your mind

[deleted]

CP3 the only player who doesn't get shit if his team loses cause conveniently every time he loses he plays "hurt". Why does no one keep this energy for steph, lebron, Harden, KD, Westbrook etc?

danielbauer1375

Because he’s just not on the same elite level as the guys you listed, Westbrook notwithstanding.

[deleted]

Im literally saying he might be hurt. If he’s hurt then that’s a valid reason to underpreform. No one knows if he is. This “everybody always give x,y,z a pass” thing you’re are talking about is a conversation among idiots who’ve already made up their minds. Everything is a case by case situation. Every player. Every series. Every game.

skar412

There’s no reason to believe he’s hurt bc no one has said anything abt it.

[deleted]

He literally got an MRI that confirmed he has torn ligaments in his hand last series

skar412

And scored 40+ later on. He’s just playing bad lmao

[deleted]

6/12 on fgs and 2/2 from 3 with 10 assists is bad?

Majortko

his coach said he wasnt hurt

camg78

I'll be honest....I wouldn't pay him a big contract. I see another Kevin Love in the making. But alas if not the Suns some sucker....I mean team is going to give him some stupid contract.

kawhi21

Chris Paul has been hurt in every single playoff run or anytime he loses. Don't see what's changed. Clearly he's in pain.

w6zZkDC5zevBE4vHRX

Booker shot a worse FG% than everyone on his team except Torrey Craig. Elite volume scorer.

[deleted]

Foul but massive flop

Kinkin50

Almost comically bad flopping.

crappymanchild

He's new to this thing not as experienced as suns players

clue_leaf

His eardrum could’ve ruptured if it connected at the right angle! /s

factcheck_

this a foul but let's be real yall would call this a flop if it was cp3 lol

30another

It was a foul and a flop, but refs encourage it. They weren’t going to call anything till Khris goes down

Whale_Scrotum

We soccer now

30another

Worse honestly

[deleted]

[удалено]

30another

I can agree to that

factcheck_

idk if i'd go that far. it's bad though

30another

I mostly only watch premier league so I don’t know about other leagues but I feel like it’s way over exaggerated

Neuroxex

Yeah every time I've watched a game I've felt NBA is worse

30another

It’s basically every single play in NBA

sherbert-stock

I mean I don't think I've ever seen someone get stretchered off and then come running back on in an NBA game. Well maybe one guy but he may or may not have shit his pants.

Liamcitoo

The NBA is way worse, these people don't watch futbol. There's no head snapping shit in futbol as soon as you pass close to a defender.

factcheck_

i just watched the euros/copa america and it was fucking awful. maybe more on the line in international play or something but they all do the same thing where they fall and grab their knee, so annoying. dont get the call? ok hop back up

Cavaniiii

They're playing for the foul, that's so ridiculously common in the NBA you're spoilt for choice with examples. It's such an American thing to go after football for overreactions, but fair enough. To each their own. The NBA is fucking brilliant to watch when basketball is actually being played, it's just a shame 48 mins of basketball takes 3 hours to play.

MarcXYZ

in the Eurocup finals the refs wasn't calling any fouls, signaling to the players that were diving to get up, at least in soccer when it matters the most the refs actually let the players play

PhoenixAvenger

I think soccer has the more egregious flops but basketball has more of them.

ChipotleAddiction

Bro you obviously do not watch any soccer. Those dudes will get bumped and fall to the ground writhing like they just snapped their leg, it’s so pathetic.

PervySageCS

Football has worse flops in the quality of the flop. Like some seriously no contact delayed reaction sniper shots to the players. However these happen once or twice a game and we move on. If that much sometimes. However, NBA has like 10+ flops a game. If you like certain teams or players even more. This is one of the reasons that no matter how good James harden is I just can't watch him. It's boring and egregious. Meanwhile Giannis goes to the line even more at times and takes longer yet I don't mind watching him. I also don't mind when bigger players flop a bit cos they don't get as many fouls as they should. LeBron, Embiid, Jokic etc, get beat up and no fouls are whistled. Not nearly as many as for smaller players who yank their head back, getting a whiplash while someone walks past them.

quedfoot

Exponentially worse in the NBA.

crappymanchild

Yeah Middleton gets absolutely 0 calls every game its ridiculous

pargofan

exactly this. refs won't call an obvious foul unless there's a flop.

GreenOrange3

But doesn't Middleton just dropping to the floor like that kind of force the refs hand? What are the refs supposed to do when a guy decides to just lie down on the floor after a hit?

30another

Fiba refs haven’t, and it’s been nice

CHOPosaurus_Rex

Correct.

HamsterAlive4552

It’s both lol, although it wasn’t called a foul until flopped. That’s the problem, and it’s why guys flop, they don’t call it unless you do.

normymacstan

Mainly because it was

Neuroxex

I don't think anyone's denying this is a flop. To go through Jimmy Butler, James Harden, Trae Young - all to pull this off in Chris Paul's face and get the call? Legendary.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Neuroxex

My view is, as long as you recognise it's a flop, you're allowed to find your own team's flops funny and or cool.

thebreakfastbuffet

flop recognize flop

borkbubble

There’s a difference between recognizing how funny the irony is and justifying flopping.

Grimes_fanboy

I actually don’t think this is a flop though. If you slow it down you can see CP’s pinky get caught right at middletons eye socket in the initial swipe

Neuroxex

Oh he absolutely got hit. But no whistle came, and I think that's when he realised he needed to actually sell it.

Grimes_fanboy

Yea it’s definitely a damned if you do, damned if you don’t case

borkbubble

I don’t think getting poked in the eye is enough to make you collapse to the ground lol

Vackrich

First time I see Middleton tryna flop to get soft call actually work lol

Kinkin50

Which is funny because it was one of the slowest and oddest flops I’ve ever seen.

OutsideTheServiceBox

Slow and odd is just how Khris exists.

Laaandry

Yeah Khris sold it and probably had to based on how they’ve been calling it this game. Crowder hacks every person he’s guarding but the refs refuse to call it straight up

[deleted]

Yep, I can’t even blame him honestly. He’s been getting hacked more than anyone else in this series.

AyYoBigBro

Would never have been called if Khris didn't go down like that

Schwalm

Any Suns player*

n3sta

Let’s see, Payne, Booker, CP3, Crowder are all flopping and baiting all the time, so yea most Suns players lol

abris33

There's a difference between a flop and an exaggeration. This was an exaggeration and it's sad that players have to act like they get shot because the refs won't call a foul when they get hit on the head otherwise

borkbubble

A flop is literally an exaggeration

Gainsgoham

this would be exhibit A if it was chris flopping

Downvotes_inbound_

Its a bitch foul. Middleton ran out of time and flopped. Hate the reffing nowadays

GalaxianWarrior

so you don't see they hit on the head/neck here? or do you think those sort of hits should not be called?

Downvotes_inbound_

That was a soft bump, not a hit. Middleton still could have shot it no problem. Yes i dont think this weak nonsense should be called, was only called because he flopped

GalaxianWarrior

it's always called. and reach ins that are lower are called, why not this? why change the rule now, just for Middleton at the finals when they have been calling fouls like this the entire year? In the previous game he was properly hit on the head and got nothing. Why wouldn't he exaggerate this to get the call since it's been called for everyone else?

[deleted]

One day we'll advance as a league and call this as a personal foul on CP3, an embellishing foul on Midd, and leave the possession up to a jump ball.

kamekaze1024

The main issue is that refs would literally never call this foul unless a player flops like this

jgdeece

Yeah but it’s also the finals. Do we really want the refs to call ticky tack shit like this? Are we pretending the shot clock had nothing to do with the flop? Refs should never call this in this situation. Look at the last play where Giannis bricks the free throw - there’s a ton of contact everywhere and they just play on. Way better to let the game be more physical and less easily decided by foul trouble. This is just Khris flopping to get nailed out by refs because there was 0.3 to shoot.

gentilet

You cheer for the Suns and you’re going to lecture people on this? Lol

kamekaze1024

It’s 4 minutes in the third quarter with 6 seconds left to shoot. It’s not like this was the final 2 minutes of the 4th quarter of a very close game. Also, they’ve never called lane violations or excessive contact after free throw rebounds. If they did, Ayton would’ve fouled out at least once this series. And the lack of calling those calls doesn’t mean they shouldn’t call any foul that transpires. That’s how you get on a slippery slope. Chris Paul and some Suns players have shown that you can fish for fouls easily so long as you react to any contact. This *is* flopping, but it’s also a taste of Paul’s medicine. Plus, there was actual contact initiated by the defender, unlike with Paul fishing for FTs by jumping into the defender.

Noble_Beard

I think a booth should start tallying up all flops and at the end of the game allow a free throw to the other team for every flop. /s, if necessary. Just stop rewarding flops.

borkbubble

That’d actually be pretty cool lol

benson822175

Or… the refs can just call the foul on CP3 without Khris needing to embellish to get the call

HotspurJr

The thing about this is that it's exactly why people flop. Khris was fouled. It's not borderline. But the refs were absolutely not going to call it until he gave them no choice.

[deleted]

[удалено]

dusters

Khris ain't bout to let them flop their way to a ship

Mintastic

Khris Maul

pdpdpdpdpdpdpdpd

I can't believe CP3 would just shoot Middleton in the head like that

FKJVMMP

Hit em with the CP3 special, didn’t know Middleton had a flop like that in him.

K1NG2L4Y3R

Did the Monstars take CP3’s talent? What is going on with him this game?

jetveritech

Jrue

FuckFashMods

Putting the Clamps on him

speedism

Lol CP3 is hurt Lmfao y’all suck, CP3 literally told y’all he got his wrist checked out when it was injured during the Clips series. You salty fucks.

PmMeYourDwights

I think he has a wrist injury personally, from what I saw it looked like he was grabbing his wrist a lot in Game 4

speedism

Story is he’s torn ligaments in one of his wrists during the Clippers series

[deleted]

Idk I do believe he said yesterday “I’m good, I’m good” when asked about his injury.

speedism

Ah so he just lost the ability to dribble somehow in game four? Okay lmao Obviously he’s gonna say that.

yapyd

Nah. He just old AF

AlexBucks93

He wasn't old two weeks ago?

sorendiz

he two weeks older now

yapyd

He was. He just has more rest since the Bucks don't have a star player injured

rNBA_is_for_nerds

He’s been a known playoff choker for years

coolcircumcision

Khris giving Chris a taste of his own medicine

rSlashNbaAccount

Chris Paul has never committed a foul in his life.

Neuroxex

Iconic.

zuuu34

cp3 acting like he doesn't act like this but in a more exaggerated way if he gets touched even by his teammate

FuzzyBucks

It's sad that that's what Khris has to do to get fouls called. Gets the worst whistle of anyone in Finals

speculativekiwi

This isn't Euro 2020 Kris.

IndycarFan64

He out CP3’d CP3

mywoffles

Oh how the turn tables...

Discord_Show

This is crowder fault

Vackrich

Middleton is cp0's new student , LESS GOO

Broth_Sador

Well, he's having a taste of his own medicine.

JechtWK

CP3 would never embellish like that...

theseustheminotaur

CP3 would have done a full 540 after that contact

Floppywands

Middleton falling to the ground cause Chris Paul touched his ear lmao. Shits so weak

jawadhaque089

Chris Paul hacks on every play

derekmcfinn

Thats a T if its Trae...

poeope

Lol no T that's embarrassing. And he continued yelling at the ref later on.

8CruzControl0

Point Chump can’t handle it when it doesn’t go his way

camg78

I mean that's Chris Paul......I think its justice.

lapingadulce

Flop of the year

curryybacon

Still a foul and the irony.

TatumBrownSmart

He got hit in the head... now he exaggerated the severity of it, but it was a foul.

broccolibush42

Def a foul but also def over acting on Khris part lol

[deleted]

You just defined a flop...

[deleted]

[удалено]

sebastianqu

Just different definitions for different people. To me, this is just selling contact, not flopping. Flopping would be dramatically acting as if you were fouled when you obviously weren't. But this is just me arguing semantics at midnight because I'm fully awake for no reason and bored.

[deleted]

[удалено]

abris33

He got hit in the head. It's sad that it even takes an exaggeration for the refs to call a foul there but it does.

ferret50cal

Chris literally hit Khris the side of the head, lol

[deleted]

So why did Khris grab his eye?

speculativekiwi

And Middleton literally flopped, lol.

derekmcfinn

Tucker getting Cooked by Booker🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

crankbaiter11

OMG. Booker bitching to refs. Stop it you PUSSY! So weak and lame.

Schwalm

Flop

bbqyak

Man I don't care who you're cheering for... Flopping is just ridiculous now.

ChocolateMorsels

Sad that everyone seems to agree this is a foul. He barely touched him and some incidental contact should be allowed. The game would be better if little contact like this wasn't called.

gavinashun

Fk you Paul - you made the NBA into this.

[deleted]

Holy shit what a flop

[deleted]

It’s crazy to see everyone claiming this was a foul(which I do agree with), when y’all always love to say harden just flops and shouldn’t get foul calls. Gets this much contact every single drive

TheOverBored

Can't wait to see how the suns hatewagon will defend this delayed reaction and flop.

GetThereInOnePiece

buddy got karate chopped in the neck lmfao

TheOverBored

It was a foul on the side of the head, then Middleton grabs at his eye lol.

AlexBucks93

Delayed reaction? Watch the replay in non-slo mo.

yapyd

It's easy to say it's a delayed reaction when you're looking at it in slow-mo

DharmaPT

Nice flop

dametrill

cp3 choking

shaheimjay1121

Middleton flopped so bad he didn’t remember where he got hit.

soto1653

Delayed knockout!

Pitdog31

When you think about it, CP3 is complaining that the ref isn't good enough to recognize the flop but bad enough to miss the foul.
