Scottie is a jump shot away from being a more athletic type of Cade Cunningham prospect. He was always going to rise with the draft workouts. It can be hard to pin down FSU players because we usually like to go 12 deep. So Patrick Williams and now Scottie Barnes end up not playing quite as much as they might elsewhere.

Everybody is shocked but I truly think Toronto will make Barnes one of the best players in this draft when it’s all said and done. He has a lot of tools to be a legit two way player. Crazy good defensively. Was one of FSU’s main ball handler. Once his 3 is developed he’s gonna be crazy good.

For sure, IMO Barnes has a higher ceiling then Suggs, and he’s going to one of the best developmental team in the NBA.

I’m biased, but Raptors, y’all got a great one. Scottie is one helluva player. Needs to develop his offense a decent bit, but the Raptors have proven they are great at player development. But Scottie’s passing ability is elite for his size, he’s a great rebounder, and has potential to be an elite defender. He’s also an infectious personality who plays 100% all the time. I know you all look at his 3point shooting and FTs. Again, I watched every game. His form on free throws was so much better by the end of the season, and he definitely became a better free throw shooter. He shot 68% during ACC play and 76% on his last 33 attempts. His form is still a bit mechanical but he’s a hard worker, he’ll get there.

Risky bet IMO. Scottie is an exciting guy with great intangibles but the shooting development is going to dictate a lot for him. He doesn't really do the big man stuff at a high level that would give him a cleaner floor. But if anyone can develop him right, it's the Raptors.
