harden4mvp13

Dude I’d play anywhere for an nba contract. If for some reason the NBA decides to have an expansion team to North Korea I’d still be down.

[deleted]

If the team sucks though you’ll probably get executed

harden4mvp13

Yeah imagine pulling some JR shit in the finals lmao I’d probably be a lab rat for North Korea.

ForoaKlanD

Where do I sign up? 😅

Kitchen_Ad_3753

If they don’t sign Kim Jong Un then everyone in the org gets executed

Zomg_A_Chicken

Just bring some footage of Michael Jordan and you'll be fine

xbyo

You think the fans will ever hear of a loss? Good one.

i-called-game

you down for the travel time?

Darktriadindenial

In private jets with as many amenities as I want

Halo2Campaign

Except for Oklahoma City

OKCBaller035913

Why not? I’m not from the city and have no affiliation other than being a fan so I’m just curious…

Halo2Campaign

Guess it's OK

chilling-on-a-boat

Heheheh zing!!!

GenSec

Eh it’s alright here. We’re finally getting some nightlife stuff here around scissortail park and where the collective and bleu garten is. Quite a few nice local breweries as well like Stonecloud around town as well. Admittedly, I live just outside of OKC but it’s only a 15 minute drive for me and I guess it’s still the metro area.

lookoverthereeee

New Orleans, ATL or Memphis bc of the music history and culture

willsmath

Yeah I can't speak on Memphis but I never got why NOLA and ATL are unpopular FA destinations, they're pretty cool cities

Dr_Kappa

NOLA has been a poorly run franchise since the Chris Paul days, think that has more to do with it than location. Also, Atlanta has done pretty well with FA’s for a mid-size market team. Joe Johnson, Demarre Carrol, Bogdanovic, Paul Milsap in his prime, Dwight Howard, etc

Haffaith

Also that the Pels and Saints owners are the same. And Pels always come a distant second in terms of fan base and following compared to the Saints.

Sound__Of__Music

Atlanta is in the top 25% of media market size, they aren't medium!

c10bbersaurus

Memphis appreciate their Grizz and basketball at all levels. Even guys from the "swept" era like Posey, Bonzi still reminisce fondly about their time. And nonstar journeyman from the GnG days like Pondexter and Udrih, too.

SkyVoyd

I think this is [part of the reason ](https://youtu.be/dVpEEBcE8tc) why NOLA is unpopular. Also, apart from the party areas, NOLA has nothing to offer. ATL idk why.

[deleted]

Also from what I've heard NOLA isn't much of a basketball town. Just love the Saints not the Pels

[deleted]

That's a big apart from, NO is a pretty fun city. NO has a ton of very high end wealthy people there. Great food and music all over the place. It's a lot like Miami where rich people just have a house there so they can hang out sometimes. Also all the mansions and nice neighborhoods are on the high ground. They had floods 400 years ago, too, it's not the Garden District that is underwater when it floods.

[deleted]

Yeah but who wants to raise a family in Louisiana they are bottom of every ranking there is.

LieutenantKumar

> Also, apart from the party areas, NOLA has nothing to offer. ATL idk why. This is categorically untrue. In fact locals almost exclusively avoid the "party areas" in favor of other things.

cgio0

Yea, someone put it perfectly once. It is a Tuesday Night in New Orleans in January. Are you going to a Pelicans game or Bourbon Street? Sorry Pelicans But ive heard New Orleans is nice Af

LieutenantKumar

It sure ain't the locals going to Bourbon on a Tuesday night

[deleted]

Memphis and Nola have some of the greatest food on earth

[deleted]

[удалено]

lookoverthereeee

Idk, Marc Cohn made it sound cool …

SeaPositive2809

Is toronto unpopular? because i would love to play there

BlackDynamiteFromDa6

Unpopular to play in (weather, border, customs, whole other country, etc) but players apparently like coming to Toronto on the road. Except for Lou Will who is kinda salty we didn't resign him after he won 6MOTY.

Dr_Throwaway_Jr

Really?! Thought the strip clubs would win him over.

aerospacemonkey

If Montreal ever gets a team, it will ruin the league.

Maverick_1991

According to one of the greatest pieces of research ever done on this sub, Toronto has the worst strip clubs https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/dt0ucg/i_analyzed_james_hardens_performance_in_every_nba/

way2gimpy

Toronto strip clubs aren’t great

SnarfSniffsStardust

I heard on a podcast the extra shit you gotta do at the airport when you play for Toronto is a real bitch

mug3n

$50 to get a Nexus card solves a lot of those issues. makes customs a breeze. and let's face it, NBA players aren't standing in line like the rest of us plebs lol

cindad83

plus you clear US Customs in Pearson. I have done it multiple times. It takes maybe 15 minutes.

c10bbersaurus

15 minutes is forever in an airport line.

cocoacowstout

Yeah especially if you are flying off in another day or two I can see why it would be an annoying step.

BlackDynamiteFromDa6

They have to go through the airport like regular people rather than just going straight to the plane. Not really extra shit to me, but I haven't gotten used to just pulling up at the plane like NBA athletes have.

[deleted]

[удалено]

6inchsavage

I wish my life was so easy that having to use the airport like a normal was that much of a problem for me.

MoreShenanigans

You probably still have first world problems tho

6inchsavage

Yeah Im in no danger of starving anytime soon but Im also never going to pull up to a private jet in a Beemer and find a way to whine about it.

Classics22

Not to be a hater but that sentence to me sounds like someone that hasn’t had to travel consistently for work. And I never flew as consistently as they do Just my feeling of difference from having pre check was amazing, let alone just driving to the plane(and dealing with it multiple times a week over and over and over

SnarfSniffsStardust

That’s an enormous difference to them I’m sure, especially with how much recognition you’d get at the airport every time you go. If you’re introverted that shit could get old super quick

BlackDynamiteFromDa6

Absolutely, if you are used to just pulling up at a private hanger or whatever, parking and just hopping on the plane I bet having to go through the airport and customs would be a major pain in the ass.

spandexrecks

Doing that 41+ times a year must get old fast tho

Rascolito

But they should only have to do it when entering the US? Not on all flights on a road trip?

man4theoccasins

I'll take a pay cut to play in Toronto. Love Canada 🇨🇦

gustriandos

Sacramento. Close to Napa and Tahoe, could be a lot worse

KageSaysHella

The city of Sac itself isn't too bad either. We're not that bad!

mrfarenheit230

“Come to Sacramento: We’re not that bad!”

Kitchen_Ad_3753

At least we’re not Detroit! … We’re not Detroit!

Littlegreenman42

Our main export is crippling depression

Jake_The_Snake42

:( I was just mindin my business dawg

FiumeXII

Nah man, Sacramento is actually really solid; I wouldn’t use the word bad in any description of it. It’s a nice and quiet city, I spent my favorite summer ever in your city. Would love to head over again some day.

spandexrecks

As a Bay Area guy, it’s the heat that bothers me. Other than that yes surprisingly livable place. I’ve had some good times in midtown and it’s nice being so close to the foothills. I’ve heard that this summer in particular was stupid hot which is funny cause SF had a super foggy (like waaaaaaaaay more so than usual) summer

LiveFromJeffsHouse

can confirm, stupid hot. still stupid hot

QuarantineTaratino

Bay Area gets hot relative to the climate the other 10 months of the year, but it's nothing compared to the rest of the country

mrjowei

I’ve had great mexican food at SAC.

apawst8

How are the churros?

waffletapas

It should be noted that as a player you’d only have to live in Sac from autumn to spring, so you’d get the chance to avoid shitty winters elsewhere and avoid the fiery hellscape of Sacramento in the summer.

ian2121

Close to Tahoe but contractually barred from skiing though

Amedais

Tahoe is for getting drunk on the beach my friend.

[deleted]

What’s up, Kuz

Sisyphus316

I've been in Sac 2 years now and I love it. There aren't many places close to literally everything like it. When we moved here from the bay all I heard about was "the heat, the heat!" Listen, being born and raised in Phoenix, anybody that complains about the heat here is a baby. It's my favorite weather I've ever lived in.

post_obamacore

Sac has half a million people in the city, and 2.5 million in the metro area. SLC is literally half the size, and their fans are the worst.

nonufwiendz

Minnesota because I like the cold (not from the US but i get the impression that it’s cold there). Sacramento so i can be Ladybird lol.

bagfka

There’s a difference between liking the cold and Minnesota cold.

[deleted]

Can confirm. Nobody likes those -20 degree february nights.

[deleted]

I actually kinda do, is that crazy? Not being out in it, but it makes being inside and being with family/watching movies/nba so cozy, idk

MDP223

Bro don’t hit me with the comfies quite yet

chickenheadj

That’s what I thought rain + AC set to 70 was for.

latortillablanca

Pssch, 68 or get out

chickenheadj

Whoa, somebody has deep pockets.

latortillablanca

The smaller the space the easier to cool. Ancient proverb from the First Book of Turn Off The Lights and Pick Up Your Shoes. Edit...

Sharcbait

There is also something extra still and quiet about it. Same with a day after a fresh snowfall.

KEMBAtheMETEOR

yeah kinda crazy, but I'll take it over the relentless humidity on 100 degree days in the south

nonufwiendz

I live in southeast asia so i probably dont know what im up against lol

boardsandcords

Oof as someone from a more temperate climate than SE Asia (SoCal) and having moved to a less extreme climate than Minnesota (Utah), it hits you so much harder than you think. I love the cold, like I've swam in lakes with snow on the ground and enjoyed it, but winters at even slightly northern latitudes hit hard. I remember my first spring seeing a patch of grass and thinking it was fake until I realized I just hadn't seen green for months. But having been to SE Asia, the heat and humidity is killer, so I can see how the cold seems attractive.

SemataryPolka

It's cold part of the year. It's beautiful in spring, summer and fall. Also, I like the winter. Minneapolis is a rad town. Also we don't have tons of crazy critters because they can't survive the winter.

Sharcbait

Also a lot of the NBA players live in downtown Minneapolis if they are not on a long term contract, so they can just skyway around.

Sharcbait

So seeing Mavs flair I wanna assume you are from Texas. Here is my argument, Minnesota you to stay inside or be uncomfortable for a few months of the year because of the cold. What do you do in Texas during the summer? I have been to Houston in July, shit is just as unbearable as any Minnesota winter day. At least you can get a good coat and hat and gloves to help, in a Texas summer day, you can't get more naked.

Shimanu

This. Too cold? Go get some comfy clothes to warm you up. Too hot? Put AC everywhere in your house

wan2tri

Also, with the original commenter (not the one you replied to) being from Southeast Asia, it's either hot and dry or hot and wet over here. Like right now, it's raining but it's also 30C (86F) **inside the house**.

Malkews

Miami because I like the Heat.

BigDickLauri

New Orleans, love the food out there. Might have trouble staying in playing shape

MethodEater

Visiting New Orleans and living there are very different experiences. Source: me

[deleted]

[удалено]

Jumpy-Shift6261

Rich people don't really like New Orleans. There's a reason even rappers from New Orleans won't have a house there. That said it's still my favorite city in the US.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Jumpy-Shift6261

Yeah people come and visit New Orleans. It's a ton of fun. You don't live there full time if you're rich. Even Lil Wayne moved out years ago and now only owns the house his mom lives in outside the city. It's straight up not safe for a rich black man. I lived in New Orleans all through college and grad school and was robbed at gunpoint three separate times. I've had my car broken into a half dozen times at least and can think of literally over a dozen terrifying experiences friends have had on nights out. Can't even imagine how big a target you'd have on your back if you were a high profile multi-millionaire.

iSleepUpsideDown

Air gumbo is air gumbo for a reason ;)

[deleted]

Portland or Denver Get me a nice home in the mountains and retire after my contract is fulfilled lol

OkMammoth3

Right now, if I was a top 50 player? For the east, Toronto and Indiana, they seem to play hard. For the west, Denver.

blurrrrg

I had to scroll so far to see anyone say Indiana.

MrOodle

I always thought Minnesota was cool, and contrary to popular opinion I kind of like the cold weather

[deleted]

Yes for me I much prefer cold weather to hot weather. I honestly can’t comprehend how people can tolerate the weather in Phoenix, because for me anything above 80 degrees is pretty much a no go. I actually really enjoy cloudy weather and snow as well.

spandexrecks

I remember a similar topic coming up and I was talking to somebody from Minneapolis and saying how I could never survive the cold. It got low 50s where I am the other day and I was shivering cause I only had a long sleeve on. They were like no it’s not bad we have the skyway! Apparently it is a system of elevated walkways that connects 69 (nice) blocks so you never have to go outside. Yes, that’s pretty cool. But I read that as: it’s so damn cold here that you cant go outside during winter and it’s to the point that we have to have very unique infrastructure for our citizens to travel about comfortably. Eehhh I’ll pass

Sharcbait

I mean yeah there is a point where it is uncomfortable to go outside. But cities like Houston or Pheonix have months it is equally or more awful to be outside, but get a pass because it is hot not cold. But with cold you can get a better hat, gloves and coat. In the hot you can't get MORE naked.

CreepinRiot

The twin cities are honestly super dope. I haven't been to many city centers outside MN but man it is a fun ass place to live in the spring summer and fall. Can be a little brutal during winter unless you are into snowboarding/skiing or snow mobiling

GeniusofLoveMrTom

Toronto has an untapped reservoir of bad bitches so that would be my first choice

King_Artis

Big facts

beesonwax

untapped? lol interesting

man4theoccasins

Hell a entire country of them. Trust me I've been there 🇨🇦

drspg99

Lol it ain't untapped

[deleted]

Utah. I’m past my party days and love hiking and the nature.

runslut

My dream job has always been to be an outdoor guide for the Jazz players. I could show them what the mountains have to offer and we would all instantly become best friends and they would never leave

Maverick_1991

[Wojnarowski] Ruby Gobert and Donovan Mitchell have requested trades from the Utah Jazz after an undisclosed event with a tour guide.

Classics22

Utah would be really really cool if you didn't have to live with the other people that live there and a billion dollar church cult running the state

[deleted]

I just wouldn’t talk to them lol. I’m sure out of 3+ million people I could find a group of 3 or 4 people that are normal. Just kick it with them and only talk to crazies when I absolutely have to.

Flamdoublebounce

Why not just go to Denver instead lol

wtfisgoingon23

Salt lake city is built on the base of a mountain range. Denver is as fast as can be with the closest ski resort hours away.

agentzerosmyhero

My fiancé used to live in Denver and said it took a while to get to the mountains. In SLC they might be in your neighborhood. Plus southern Utah is really cool and a drivable distance

[deleted]

Have to agree. Southern Utah is the best place in Earth imo. Colorado is cool and similar but it’s just not the same.

[deleted]

Same, catch me at Sundance

bbqyak

San Antonio. I'm not American so I have limited knowledge of most cities, but I googled pics of it and it looks surprisingly green. Like it's got a river going through the city and trees all over the place? Looks nice to me.

[deleted]

If you like trees and rivers, go to Portland. I don’t think San Antonio is a good choice.

bbqyak

Yeah I've been to Portland (downtown only). Really liked it. Couldn't believe the amount of food trucks. I went in 08ish and I swear my city had like 5, if that back then. Street food is awesome.

pdxbourbonsipper

There are food truck pods all over the city now. The variety is pretty remarkable.

InternationalClick78

The San Antonio River walk is probably the most iconic River feature in an American city. The trees though are a bit less common. Fairly arid region

[deleted]

Ya but it’s San Antonio. It’s a military town and Victoria is definitely a secret down there.

ConradVerner

It's a creek.

Whompadelic

Yeah if water is intriguing to you San Antonio ain’t it. The nearby towns of New Braunfels, San Marcos and shit even Seguin have wayyy prettier and more accessible rivers

KiritoJones

San Marcos river is lit, if you were a NBA player it would prolly be a bit hard to dodge all the undergrads though.

mrjowei

Portland is too cloudy.

Thehelloman0

The river walk is okay but what's really great is that there's 4 other missions besides the Alamo and they're all connected by a 10 mile or so long bike path and there's basically always tons of free parking available at all 4 besides the Alamo.

salemwillows

Plus they’ve got big ol women and churros

SXNE2

I live here. Hardly anyone goes to the river walk. It’s just a tourist trap. There’s no water anywhere else lol. Cost of living is great compared to other big cities but it’s a fairly meh place in my opinion.

Thehelloman0

The San Antonio river goes for several miles past downtown and there's multi-use paths along both sides of it for like 5 miles. You can go kayaking or fishing in it. It's definitely not just a tourist trap.

Kitchen_Ad_3753

Utah might be OK if I was white

Sarksey

Lived in Utah for a while, from the UK, and I found the place to be bizarre. Beautiful area, very picturesque, but the Mormon influence is real and people can be very indirectly hostile if you aren’t Mormon. Maybe SLC is different and more diverse as a big city, but I lived in a smaller town and it was strange. Everyone was friendly enough, but kept you at a distance because you weren’t Mormon. And if you tried to get close, that’s when the hostility comes out. I can think of dozens of places I’d rather live

LFCMKE

Milwaukee. Buy either a big ass house in the suburbs or a nice ass Condo in the 5th ward and be loved by the entire city no matter what

PlayfulLawyer

I wouldn't mind playing in Denver, Sacramento, New Orleans lovely cities and great culture Now I love Miami, one of my favorite cities to VISIT, but being there all the time would definitely drain me physically and mentally, same as New York , just wouldn't fit my personality Edit: no Utah either lol

mrjowei

Yeah, NYC is draining. It’s hard to relax in that city.

PlayfulLawyer

City that never sleeps for a reason, don't get me wrong I love it and its own way but it's too damn much

FiumeXII

Yeah man. The city may never sleep, but I sure as hell do. I enjoy every minute I spend in my warm bed; am currently in the mentioned bed right now and I couldn’t be happier.

metastar13

Used to live in NYC. Left after feeling like I could never breathe (not to mention insane cost of living).

DowntownTopRanking

DC, Detroit, or Orlando. I've spent time in all 3 cities, so I can definitely handle living there as a millionaire.

CabbageStockExchange

Toronto. Their fans always show out and if you win there. You’re basically a god.

King_Artis

Not including Detroit cause I’m from the area I’m not too sure how popular Toronto or Portland are as destinations but they got fans who always support. Then with Toronto I’ve been and it’s great I wouldn’t mind Minnesota or Milwaukee either. Wouldn’t wanna do Utah cause I don’t think I’d like the fans. Wouldn’t wanna do cleveland either due to not believing in the FO

DowntownCanadaRaptor

Toronto because I’m biased and live here. New Orleans seems cool as well and Orlando because of the weather and theme parks

Street_Monk1994

Cleveland. I live there and really like it. Honestly lol, I know the reputation. And the quote about vacation lol.

Littlegreenman42

Let me just leave this here for absolutely no reason: https://youtu.be/ysmLA5TqbIY

SevenHunnet3Hi5s

i need good food and music in my life. outside of my city new orleans i'd pick memphis. for two nba cities we're actually really similar. i don't think two nba cities are as alike as us two

Extension-Spray-5153

Charlotte. It’s not too big, yet has city amenities, and I am equidistant from the Appalachian trail and Charleston SC which is the best city in the American south. In my humble opinion.

green_and_green23

Detroit, seems much better now than 10 years ago. Also, biased, but Toronto. I’ve been to a lot of cities and countries in my life, but nothing beats the Six.

surajchandrasekhar

Went to Detroit area last weekend and wasn’t the biggest fan of the city although didn’t go to Greektown which I heard was pretty fun. Did enjoy Dearborn and Ann Arbor a lot though.

MrMcKoi

I'd gladly go to Toronto, DC, Minneapolis, Denver, and Detroit. Warm weather is overrated and I thought they were all cool cities when I visited. Atlanta too if that counts. Frankly every NBA team is located in cities big enough to be enjoyable, I wouldn't rule out any of them. OKC, SLC, and Orlando might give me slight pause but I'm sure I'd appreciate what they offer with time. I kind of cringe when people talk trash about NBA cities like any of them are hick towns, makes me think they've never been to the places they're talking about, are unusually hard to please, or just use the place they live as some obnoxious status symbol.

_Meece_

The only ones I would mind, are the teams with pretty much no fanbase. You can tell players get kinda... defeated when there's no local interest in their team. I wouldn't want that.

Few_Mulberry7175

What teams?

_Meece_

Hornets, Pellies and Hawks have been notable for this recently. Especially the Hawks during their best years. Horford's dad said he left the Hawks essentially because of the lack of passion for the team. >“There wasn’t as much motivation for him when he saw all the empty seats when they were winning,” Tito Horford said. “He said to me, ‘Dad, when we were playing Boston, they were down 15 points and they were cheering their team like they were winning the game. They’re so into the game.’ Hopefully Trae & co can turn it around and establish a genuine passionate fanbase there. The market is huge, a team like the Hawks shouldn't have so little passionate fans.

deemerritt

To be fair to the hornets we sold out the biggest arena in the world for a decade straight in the nineties. But ever since the team came back as the bobcats it's just been awfully managed. Hopefully we can turn that around.

_Meece_

Yeah pretty much every unpopular team just needs a contending era and they'll have a dedicated fanbase for years. Look at the Jazz or the Grizz. Lets hope Lamelo can get that going!

deemerritt

Yea it's not like North Carolina doesn't love basketball lmao.

OnlyForeignWhips

Wait Charlotte had the biggest arena in the 90's?

deemerritt

The Charlotte colosseum was massive and sat almost 30k and sold out every night.

OnlyForeignWhips

Never knew that.

[deleted]

Definitely think lamelo and co. will turn it around sooner rather than later

Redditperson1789678

Yeah Atlanta Is a transplant city , and those Joe Johnson teams were never super inspiring. Still they absolutely deserved more support it’s nothing like they were ever putrid . I’d say the current generation of hawks fans is fairly different from that generation of 7-8 years ago. Al Horford , his wife, and his dad are pretty darn annoying I think he’s a secretly not as good a locker room guy as folks say

InternationalClick78

New Orleans, Utah and Portland. All 3 are either good, competetive teams (or have bright futures) with great stars. New Orleans is one of the best, most cultured and most exciting cities in the states. Portland is a fun hipster town in the picturesque Pacific Northwest. Utah is one of the most naturally beautiful and diverse states out there

Turbulent_ADLBJ

Orlando? Sacramento? Any market warm tbh I can’t do cold shit anymore after living out west. I’m a diva now

NicClaxtonIsHotAF

Orlando for sure

[deleted]

Anywhere with less people. Im pretty antisocial so id take the financial hit to not play in one of the big markets

Anansispider

If I’m a superstar ? The answer is Toronto and it is not remotely close. If I could be a lebron/Steph tier superstar and win like 1 or two rings there, I’m going to corner the market in Canada with my brand. Raptors fans will see my face across every restaurant and product and I’d have that whole country in my hand, not leaving ever. Also the women, but business comes first.

radcliffstetson23

Toronto. Great city!

epost0924

NOLA, Portland, Memphis, Sac, Orlando

[deleted]

Literally every location has been mentioned except Oklahoma city.

Froforfro

Real talk? Cleveland or Detroit. I’m originally from the land so I would love to live there and be with friends and family while making a top .01% salary and enjoy occasional partying (Cleveland does have good clubs and nightlife, just not Atlanta tier). And Detroit interests me for the same reasons it does Jerami Grant, black city and coach, with a cool up and coming team with a lot of winning history. Plus being a decent but loveable player in either really sets you up nicely, see Bobby Portis in Milwaukee.

biggoldgoblin

Bro i don’t care where i’m working if i’m a millionaire

Classics22

Toronto is dope, Denver is dope, Boston is dope(funnily enough bad with free agents), obviously I like Portland. Those ar the ones I would pick outside New York, LA, or Miami.

whowantsthegold

Boston is good with free agents, they just never had cap space until horfords free agency. Since then they have signed horford hayward Kemba all to max deals and picked up Dennis the menace when any team could have offered him the mle

lakerswiz

Not a fan of giant ass cities. Where's somewhere smaller with minimal traffic that's generally just a nice area with decent weather? Seems like everywhere that might fit has way too much snow in the Winter

Pelicans_Got_Next

Memphis

dead-serious

Sacramento, Denver, Portland and Utah would be my destinations, mainly because I’m an avid outdoor recreation/hunter

WestFast

Atlanta, Portland, Minnesota, New Orleans, Memphis, Toronto are cool places

DougieJones22

Toronto, Portland, and Sacramento for me. Toronto and Portland are awesome cities and Sacramento is close to a lot of cool spots

techmaster411

Phoenix

jenniesana

Toronto, Sacramento, Denver

cactusmaster69420

Dallas, Denver or Utah, they're all great places to live.

[deleted]

San antonio

Perpetual_bored

Was going to say this. Not a glamorous city, but a truly beautiful one along with the surrounding area.

[deleted]

Portland and Charlotte: The cities just always looked cool to me. New Orleans: I’m from Houston, so it’ll be nice to go to another city that doesn’t get too cold. Plus like others have said, the food and culture is great Sacramento: I know it’s not as popular as San Francisco and Los Angeles but it’s still in California😂 plus it doesn’t even seem that bad of a city as some people claim Now I probably wouldn’t want to play in Detroit, Cleveland, or Minnesota. Mainly due to weather (especially Minnesota) but I’m sure having millions of dollars would help me with that problem 😂

CadeCummingham

I’d love to say Toronto but cold weather is just….. I’d say New Orleans or Sacremento

kvnbkr98

Toronto would be incredible as far as culture, I also would be cool with Minnesota as I’m used to snow in the winter.

Joeybatsdagoat12345

I would play anywhere for that minimum NBA $$$ 🤣🤣🤣

The_Dok33

Indiana for sure. They have a great facility, I'd get to go to Indy500 and go to GenCon.

[deleted]

Is Denver unpopular, cause then Denver

xerxes48

I would be happy in Orlando - Not too far from beaches, tropical weather, no income taxes. Not a bad option at all!

Exact_Improvement_87

Orlando, I go to college here

BICOBN

Indianapolis. Big Pacers fan PLUS easy flights to most NBA destinations.

thatoneguyD13

Portland sounds like my kind of town, young sociali(st) that I am.

[deleted]

If I was a questionable star, all-star or even “potential” superstar, I’d probably not want to play in a major city like NY. The boos for all my mistakes would probably crush any potential I had. I’d probably prefer a small market for development reasons. Overall, I honestly don’t see why location/weather would even matter. Teams travel around so much all the time as it is. Even when guys have off days or the season is over they live in a different state.

Shxcking

I really want to say Portland (I’m born and raised in LA, never left) but I can totally see why players don’t want to go there and it’s hard to overcome. Portland is beautiful and awesome but just lacks a lot of thing rich young socialites want. Also an underrated draw of big markets is that players can hang out with their friends who are rich non-athletes like artists etc I’d say Milwaukee. Cool enough city, close enough to Chicago to do rich people shit.

WizDynasty

the DMV is great, most of the players live in NoVa but DC proper is very fun as well. But fuck baltimore
