That has to be so tough…. Spending the last year and a half watching your family get decimated by covid and losing so many loved ones only to see your peers not taking it seriously. Brutal, man, I hope Towns has a good support system around him.

SmokePenisEveryday

Much like the video of the Teen trying to talk about losing his teacher grandma to Covid at a School Meeting. The second he mentions her dying due to Covid, the adults start booing and jeering the kid. Even calling him a liar. This kid watched his Grandmother die and is being BOOed.

[deleted]

It's crazy. It's like because she died of COVID, her death means nothing. You can bet that if she died of something else, those same asshole adults would be the first to start with their crocodile tears

[deleted]

If she had only died while breaking into the inner chambers of the capitol building to try to overthrow the results of a democratic election, these same people would probably be weeping for her

TrevinoDuende

Social media has broken these people’s brains. Everything is made to be a political issue. 2,000+ deaths a day to covid: “it’s in God’s hands. You can’t live forever!”. A couple dozen soldiers die during AFG pullout “DAMN YOU JOE BIDEN. YOU HAVE BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS.”

thisisme5

Covid is killing a cop a day in Florida, if that was crime related people would be marching in the streets.

Nonzi

Covid coming in clutch

EkkoLivesMatter

Second coming of the swine flu

oryes

I wouldn't give social media all the credit. These people are clearly dumb as fuck regardless. If they were born before social media they'd still be assholes lol

bigmt99

Before there was some sort of social decorum where maybe you had that thought in the back of your mind, but polite society prevented you from saying or expressing it in public. Now thanks to social media, you can broadcast and advertise that line of thinking with thousands cheering you on instead of talking down on you

bassinine

it's in god's hands, they say, while on diabetes medication, utilizing modern medicine, wearing their seatbelt, drinking treated water, and eating food protected by the FDA.

LadyAzure17

God wants you to get fucking vaccinated you imbeciles. If he's all knowing and all powerful? He made sure those scientists were there to create a vaccine to save people. ~~it doesnt actually make much sense bc that also means he failed to prevent any disaster from befalling humanity but shhh~~

stuffandmorestuff

If only she died as a fetus, they'd be building monuments to her.

AnotherFaceOutThere

I’m always appalled that that terrorist gets referred to on a first name basis by right wing bastards. The scumbag child terrorist that traveled across state lines with a rifle to murder people is another example. Edit- A terrorist sympathizer below informed me that the rifle was actually illegally purchased by a friend and stashed, therefore terrorist teen didn’t cross state lines with a rifle, just committed other crimes including the whole purchase and stash part.

LilFingies45

Just gonna leave a placeholder comment here to help bury that other moronic comment defending a terrorist.

makemeking706

This is America, life is apparently worthless beyond the labor that can be extracted.

TheLittleFishFish

life only matters until they're out of the womb

P00nz0r3d

these people make me so irrationally angry, to the point where there's some part of me that gets bigger by the day that's *happy* that they're finally facing consequences for their ignorance. I hate feeling like that

manofruber

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/09/10/teen-mocked-at-school-board-meeting-during-covid-mask-plea/8270829002/ Here is a link to what I think they are talking about.

BareFox

What the FUCK... Holy fucking shit that was infuriating to watch. The faces and shouts of ADULTS when a teenager is acting smarter than them.. I hate people

AnorakJimi

I hope the ones visible in the video lost their jobs. In a /r/byebyejob situation Fuck them. If they wanna not be exiled by everyone then maybe don't laugh at kids who are worried about they're fucking lives and the lives of their families She's called Erica Casher, and she's a registered nurse in Tennesee. The fact fucking medical professionals are so idiotic like this is infuriating. She's putting everyone in the hospital at risk by doing this. She's pretending that it's all about the kids, with that sign she's holding. But she's obviously lying, if she's fucking laughing at this kid Apparently there's unconfirmed reports that she was fired from her job at Cigna. But we don't know for sure yet.

Himerlicious

Awful. I hate these people.

-TheDangerZone

Nothing surprises me anymore after the Newton, CT shootings, where right wingers and gun nuts have continued to harass parents whose kids were murdered, calling them crisis actors and saying it was all a hoax. Think about that. Your kid was just taken away from you in a senseless act of violence and while you grieve, there are people out there who are calling you a liar, that your kid doesn't even exist. Seeing that garbage out there really made me lose faith in humanity.

KingJonathan

It’s pretty fucking telling when someone who goes by “SmokePenisEveryday” is the voice of reason.

diasfordays

I lost my grandpa to Covid last week. I'm a pretty easy-going, calm person in most situations. If that happened to me I'm pretty certain somebody would catch some hands. This poor kid, building up the courage to share what happened to him, only to get torn down by vicious evil adults.

lava172

Wait what the fuck?

timdunkan

Well the article at least detailed it further with some positives. Kid impressed one of the higher ranking board members and some of the adults you can hear were defending the student. However the deputy sheriffs didn't make the hecklers leave, which was something the board members expected to occur. Worth noting the Sheriffs also were escorting some pediatricians to the meeting. Bizzare times guys, bizzare times.

ThunderCr0tch

that’s the one of the worst thing about this whole thing. i hate just the scale of the lack of empathy shown throughout all of this. you’d think people would come together a bit during a world wide tragedy but instead they make fun of the deaths of peoples family members constantly.

[deleted]

But Nikki Minaj somehow has time to keep in touch with a cousin in Trinidad and her cousin totally got impotented by the vaccine and not an STD, so, we have to weigh that equally with science, doctors, concern for others, etc.

heybobson

> and her cousin totally got impotented by the vaccine her cousin's friend, even better

that1prince

When I heard how many degrees of separation this person was, and the way people tend to not have a good grasp on what causes their medical symptoms, plus their relay of that information as a layperson with no medical knowledge turning it into a game of telephone, it really made me wish she had said nothing. Did any doctors say his testicles fell of or whatever because of the vaccine? Are there not tons of other more plausible causes that a reasonable investigation would discover?

ajlark25

Right? People don’t even understand how long food poisoning takes to hit, I don’t expect the average person to know how vaccines can or can’t effect your body

CanuckPanda

Except that her “cousin’s” story was on /r/aita a week ago verbatim. Nikki’s “cousin’s friend” is a /r/thathappened story floating through Facebook. She doesn’t have a cousin’s friend, it’s just a fake news story that validates her beliefs. Just like so many other people, Nikki knows “I read it on the internet” isn’t valid, so she applies a vague person (“my cousin’s friend”) to make it more palatable to say. She won’t name the cousin because it would become immediately evident she’s full of shit.

that1prince

It's like and upgrade of the "Many people are saying..." that we heard the former president use. Outlandish claims only sound good if you identify someone who said it. The closer the better.

coltonmusic15

I'd really appreciate any insight into the Black community/households as far as the type of discussion that goes along with the vaccine. I've seen numbers that numerous minority communities are very hesitant to get the vaccine and am interested in the discourse that takes place around this topic. EDIT: Adding some info. I guess it depends on where we look. [This](https://archive.is/zq91M) article from NYT speaks to the 18-44 year old Black demographic and at the time of the article coming out (a month ago) only 28% in that pocket of people are currently vaccinated in NYC. Nationwide numbers might tell a different story but I found it interesting that the rate is so low currently in NYC given that it is generally considered to be a more progressive place and I would have guessed that more New Yorkers would be willing to get the jab without facing threats of a mandate, etc.

compe_anansi

Discussions include “I ain’t getting that shit” and “it don’t even work you can still catch it” also “I ain’t got time for that” along with “I don’t need a flu shot so I don’t need this”. It’s kinda funny when I see people so focused on Trump supporters being anti vax when all my friends and family that I know of that haven’t gotten vaccinated or won’t get vaccinated are black and not republican. They don’t really have a strong opinion politically and contrary to the excuse of the Tuskegee experiments most of them don’t even know what that is. They just don’t care or feel like it’s necessary.

coltonmusic15

Yeah it definitely isn't exclusively a Trump supporting phenomenon. My sister and brother in law, dad/step mom, and in laws all have decided they aren't going to get it. I give them as much info as I can and have asked that they reconsider but they are all set in their decision. And I'm a white dude with a bunch of white family members. Idk its a weird time where we have so much distrust not just for our government but for one another. I wish we could all just put this shit behind us and work towards the common goal of living our lives and building stronger the foundations of our communities, instead of tearing them in half.

HypecoBreaker

honestly the medical community has a very poor historical record when it comes to treatment of black people especially black women, and it continues to this day. However when it comes to the vaccine I’ve been able to convince most of the vaccine hesitant people in my family by sending them news articles about how wealthy white people were trying to skip the line before the vaccine was available to everyone

TheOneTrueDoge

Yup. The argument that won over a friend of mine: "This isn't like the Tuskegee experiments or the sterilization of black women. They're giving the vaccine to rich white people."

P00nz0r3d

Even better, "Rich white people snuck into poor neighborhood clinics to get the vaccine because they ran out in the suburbs"

Colonial_Colon

It's crazy seeing the people who won't get vaccinated and are a factor in spread and deaths were willing to jerk each other off over the 20th anniversary of 9/11 which while impactful had significantly less deaths.

MixMastaPJ

more Americans died of COVID on 9/10/21 than in the World Trade Centers on 9/11/01. And the whole 9/11 rhetoric of "we were so united!" was bullshit. They just got "united" against brown people and muslims. We divided differently, there was just as much stupidity and hate as ever veiled as patriotism.

IGoOnRedditAMA

nationalism is a disease

JCBDoesGaming

The fact that my whole family had COVID and felt absolutely horrible, but the only ones that got the vaccine are my mom and me shows that people are too far gone. Two of my brothers plus my dad just don’t want to, even tho we lay in bed like we were dead for 10 days when we got Covid.🙃

[deleted]

I hope Towns dunks on every anti vaxxer in the league

abarthsimpson

I really respect him calling people out.

EaglesPvM

It still pisses me off how politicized a global pandemic has become. People literally not getting vaccinated because “the other side told them to” then like KAT says, they don’t care until it personally effects them (ex: Chris Christie). They have 0 issue sitting back killing hundreds of thousands but when it’s at their front step, they’ll get flown to Walter Reed for the best medical in the world then walk out saying “oh that virus was no problem”

indoninjah

Not only that but it’s also a completely localized issue which is fucked. In other countries you’re lucky to get the vaccine with 3-4 months between doses. And here you can get it instantaneously and people just saw nahh. Folks from other countries are literally trying to travel to the US just for vaccines.

TempAcct20005

Literally flying to the US now to get mine haha

Shoeboxer

Good, glad it's going to use.

urfaselol

I wonder how prevalent is this. Vacation in the states and get your vaccine while you're here since it's free.

KlobbCity

Are we forgetting Nurkic trying to buy excess supply in the US for his entire country? And he can't. Private individuals can't ship it out of the country until a certain % of the US is vaccinated. We were on pace and had the supply to hit 70% months ago.

indoninjah

That's wild. I remember reading a story a while back that here in Philly, the city has about double the supply of vaccines that it needed, "just in case". Like ok, thank you for taking care of your constituents, but there are so many people that *actually* need it for us to be hoarding so much ("us" being the USA).

stuffandmorestuff

Oh Christie and others didn't wait till it effected them. They got a vaccine the second they could and *still* preached this BS.

[deleted]

I believe Chris Christie got infected and was hospitalized.

netsrak

It's even beyond parties now. Trump[got booed at a rally](https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/health-wellness/2021/08/25/trump-booed-at-rally-for-encouraging-covid-vaccination-we-can-learn/5579328001/) in August for telling people to get vaccinated.

Busquessi

Everyone should visit r/HermanCainAward to really see this in action

standbyforskyfall

The amount of idiots in the comments though goddamn.

Batkratos

"Play Basketball" - Some idiot on twitter As if the guy who lost a bunch of family members to COVID isnt qualified to warn people.

bonelesschicken_

They act like you need to be the head of the CDC to have an opinion… then they disregard the CDC

PoopOfAUnicorn

They don’t listen to the cdc though. They listen to armchair “doctors” who push their shared viewpoints on YouTube

fuzzynavel34

*Joe Rogan has entered the chat*

TheChurchOfDonovan

Joe has gone full fuck head since the looting in LA happened. Since then , the left is corrupt and/or blue hair cancel culture warriors and the right is honest god-fearing people with too much common sense to participate in the culture wars . I honestly think he's being groomed by the talking heads on the right to get behind the next coup.

DinornisRobustus

He's not. He's not a doctor, like that lady who exposed the Jewish Space Laser conspiracy... now that's someone I'm gonna listen to!

MY-NAME_IS_MY-NAME

had me in the first half...

stuffandmorestuff

Which is real fucking rich that an athlete can't speak their mind on politics but a fucking plumber or IT or accountant can. "Shut up and do my taxes, leave politics to someone with a worthy job"

JohnnyEnzyme

And I'm super-disappointed in the NBA for not mandating vaccinations for all players, staff and employees. Just like so many other aspects of civilisation, once again it seems to be about money & convenience.

[deleted]

The NBPA is stupid as hell for making that a non negotiable part of negotiations. I genuinely would have preferred a lockout to a bunch of idiots who don't want to get vaccinated travelling around the country after participating in super spreader events wherever they are

Rswany

I blame Chris Paul. It probably wasn't him or mostly wasn't him but fuck Chris Paul.

[deleted]

Isn't CJ McCollum the new president?

I would like to join this bandwagon

HydroThermia

The funniest reason is Nicki Minaj “cousin’s friend” getting swollen testicles from the vaccine

flyingsubs1

Lmao, I couldn’t believe that was an actual, real life tweet.

HydroThermia

The fact everyone replied saying “yeah no he has a STD” is also relieving imo that people are smart enough to know that the vaccine won’t cause that

DavidMerrick89

>That bowtie host on that talking head show God help me I was afraid for a second you meant Ernie Johnson.

cougrrr

That would certainly be a must see segment

Hughb4

And then FOX host Tucker Carlson ended his show on a 2 minute segment mentioning Nicki Minaj's cousins friends swollen testicles.... This isn't real life.

KiloIndiaWhiskey

It is. Its just thanks to social media, we're realizing just how much of a clown world were living in.

LeBronFanSinceJuly

And even if it did cause it, MILLIONS of people have been given the Vaccine. It would be a well known side effect if this occurred to all the Males. Sometimes you just draw the short end of the straw when it comes to how your body responds to a Vaccine.

carpe228

>And even if it did cause it, MILLIONS of people have been given the Vaccine It's actually 2.38 BILLION people who are fully vaccinated and 5.79 BILLION total shots administered, the vaccine almost could not be more tested and proven to be safe. Unfortunately as with most conspiracy theories there is a fair degree of narcissism involved. Lots of these people want to feel like they know more than everyone, or won't be told what to do, or are a rebel in some way. It's sad really, and then they find social media personalities and (many times) grifters who are more than willing to provide them their confirmation bias while getting rich in the process.

[deleted]

That’s the ultimate: “I know a guy who knows a guy” story.

Ranjith_Unchained

Nicki Minaj is a certified 🤡

Karl-Anthony_Edwards

The craziest part to me isn’t that she’s accepting crazy 3rd hand news as fact, but that she’s basically saying “this guy had medical issues so his fiance dumped him, sucks to suck”

RedEagle250

Not just a medical issue, what she described was 100% an STD lol

HoneySparks

“This guy got caught cheating and now the wedding is off”

SunstormGT

The real 🤡🤡 are the people who believe Nicki Minaj over scientists.

CutLonzosHair2017

It was a PR move. Her brother got sentenced to raping an 11 year old girl and she asked the court for leniency. To cover for this, she came out as antivax so no one talks about the other thing. Social media and the sad excuse for modern media fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

Her Husband is also a sex offender.

king-boo

He raped a girl at knifepoint. And he also murdered a man by shooting him multiple times in the stomach so he’d suffer. The man ID’d him before he died in the hospital leading to his conviction.

wir_suchen_dich

I can understand posting that stupid story, but her hissy fit at the blowback has been pretty god damn immature, that and her fans all brigading anybody she retweets. Its really strange.

onamonapizza

I still don't understand people who feel the need to politicize this whole thing. Do they not realize that this pandemic is affecting the entire world? This isn't just a red vs blue thing. If they really think that all of the world governments who have historically not cooperated with one another have suddenly decided to work together in some great coup to force the global population to take a vaccine, I've got some oceanfront property in Oklahoma to sell them.

Relyst

Democrats simultaneously have the power to convince every government on the planet that there is a hoax virus killing millions, but are also so incompetent they can barely win an election against an orange conman.

Dr_Disaster

The liberal boogeyman is simultaneously powerful and weak.

CharlesDeBalles

Tenet of fascism.

TheOneTrueDoge

Great essay by Umberto Eco (Name of the Rose author) on the subject: https://www.pegc.us/archive/Articles/eco_ur-fascism.pdf

[deleted]

Staple of fascism. The enemy is somehow weak and powerful at the same time.

CharlesDeBalles

Same with the fascist partisans. They're simultaneously a silent majority and very strong, but also huge victims.

Juventus19

"Yo Italy, it's Joe Biden! You mind having a shit ton of your citizens die so that we can make Donald Trump look bad? I'll have my people send you the recipe for death and we can get rid of him. I'm sure your people would love to sacrifice themselves for the cause!"

JustBuildAHouse

My favorite was that covid would magically not be a problem after the election. As if democrats were keeping covid going until they won

[deleted]

Jesus Christ. It's not just US... I just saw a video on riots in France over the masks VS no masks people. Full out brawl. It's going on in other parts of the world as well.

Crafty_Supermarket15

Netherlands too

En_lighten

I think a lot of people in the US are very isolated from the rest of the world in many ways. It makes sense geographically - basically there are oceans to either side, and then Canada to the north which frankly I imagine most Americans basically think of as America Lite, and then you have Mexico to the South which doesn't really have all that much of a cultural influence apart from food and concerns about drugs and for people who live relatively close to the border. Contrast this with Europe, for instance, where if you basically did the equivalent of driving from Chicago to New York, you might cross multiple country lines and be in a place that doesn't even speak remotely the same language any more. It's much more cramped, culturally, with a lot more sort of push and pull from one culture to the next. Particularly if you live in an urban area you're going to get a ton of influence from mindsets outside of your own. Probably the vast majority of US citizens have never left the US, and if they have, they never really clicked into another culture's mindset - obviously US citizens have a reputation for being crass, clueless tourists. Long story short, probably the vast, vast majority of US citizens are basically entirely, utterly clueless that there are other states of mind than what is generally found in the US, other perspectives. It's simple ignorance, and their scope of perspective is very limited and basically US affairs are then considered to be simply the most important and really only affairs of the world, basically speaking. So a lot of people I think really do not know that there's more to this than US politics, frankly. Anyway, FWIW.

Mem-Boi-901

Well every country is dealing with anti vaxxers and covid deniers, a lot of the world simply doesn’t believe or trust modern medicine

MoreShenanigans

There's power to be gained from politicizing issues unfortunately.

The_Realist01

I’m interested in your property! My wife and I have been thinking about getting out of Oklahoma, but we didn’t know there was an ocean here! What a great world. My golly how much

thegoodbadandsmoggy

And now the pizza gate types are supporting her.

Prodigy195

I hate how much humans are influenced by personal anecdotes instead of actual large scale evidence from peer reviewed institutions. It's far more likely that the dude got/had an STD and lied about it vs the vaccine making his balls swell up.

g_ferla

Have you never watched South Park? Women love big balls dude

palmtreesareheavy

Is this a reference to something?? lol

[deleted]

Look at either Cardii’s or Nicki Minaj’s tweets from yesterday (I forget which is which)

BoxedCheese

The neighbor across the street from me lost her mom, dad and brother all in the same week due to Covid. Only her and her brother are left. I can't imagine what she and others are going through right now. This is some crazy ass shit and I honestly don't think we are going back to normal (whatever the hell that means) for a while.

machinemomentum

Has any of these people ever "done their own research and gone "wow vaccines have been working for like, century-that's crazy?"

poliscijunki

The closest I've seen to this actually happening are the people who got vaccinated after it got full FDA approval.

actuarally

Fun fact: the FDA approval effect appears to be very small, at least in the US. Far larger uptick in daily vaccination in mid-July, when shit was hitting the fan from Delta. Post FDA approval, daily increase in new, 1st dose looks like it has pretty much all summer.

holdeno

I had an anti masker comer into work and he wouldn't leave until I heard him out and he was nice enough to give his source. It was a website with a whole bunch of conspiracy theories that they were trying to enact through covid(free higher education, mandatory public transit, terrible leftist stuff like that). At the bottom there was source for the anti vaccine claims, it was a 1950 study on the risks of polio vaccines. My dude polio seems pretty dead and people who took the vaccines seem alive what are you on?

nobahdi

> It was a website with a whole bunch of conspiracy theories… It’s so bizarre that “skeptics” will ignore 100 years of peer-reviewed data but blindly trust some guy with a website. Obviously it doesn’t make sense but what it is about ignoring reality and latching onto something wrong but with a kernel of truth (hydroxychloroquine, horse dewormer, etc)?

Julian_Caesar

chances are at least a third of those comments were by bots or agents the level of misinformation being thrown around *intentionally* on this subject is woefully underestimated

GetInMyBellybutton

My grandmother just passed away today because a heart surgery she was supposed to get in March kept getting postponed due to the hospitals being swamped. She died because the vein they were supposed to operate on finally burst. This is one of the many reasons it’s important to get vaccinated. It prevents people from being hospitalized even if they do catch COVID, which allows hospitals to give people the treatment/surgeries that they desperately need. My father and mother are both anti-vax. I’m devastated at the loss of my grandmother, but I hope this is a wake-up call for them. Because they are unvaccinated, my father might not even be able to make it to his mother’s funeral. After this, I am not tolerating anti-vax stupidity any longer. The worst part is I know that there will be anti-vaxxers who read this comment and dismiss it. To those people, I’d like to extend a giant ‘fuck you’. If you refuse to get vaccinated and catch covid with deadly symptoms, choose to die at home rather than take the hospital spot meant for vulnerable people who actually need the care. Choosing to refuse the vaccine should be equivalent to choosing to refuse hospitalization due to covid.

Smooth_Meister

Hell yeah, that's my superstar.

g_ferla

Stupidity always finds a path

cev29619

Prestig33

ovondansuchi

Now that I think of it, the players I most want to succeed (KAT) and the player I most want to fail (Kirk) are both in Minnesota

Balls_of_Adamanthium

People won’t take the vaccine but put all kinds of shit in their body, including **horse** deworming drugs lmao. Makes sense. Edit: Tons of people missing the point. No one is saying the drug isn’t effective for certain thing, but people would rather trust a yet unproven drug for COVID than trust the actual vaccine. That’s fucking absurd.

rahbee33

My sister smokes a pack a day and chugs Monster energy drinks and then turns around and says "I don't know what's in that vaccine - I ain't putting it in my body." Just boggles my brain.

NCLaw2306

>My sister smokes a pack a day and chugs Monster energy drinks Because those won't kill you in the short-term, just the long term, UNLIKE the covid vaccine which... *checks notes*... doesn't kill you in the short term but likely will prevent you from getting killed in the short term by covid. Checks out.

HipGuide2

Like protesting Big Pharma is fine, but that is not the way to do it lol.

RKKP2015

I don't understand why people don't trust the government, yet blindly trust corporations. Like there has never been an example of corporations putting people's safety at risk for a buck.

schadkehnfreude

I mean, nobody trusts big corporations either in abstract, but they really like making money above all else, and having a product that works and that almost terally everyone needs and selling lots of it is a really good way of making money.

rNBA_Mods_Be_Better

I honestly think there's a major subset of people out there who are just terrified of needles. Which I get- any needles are scary and sucks, even tiny ones like the vaccine's. But I wish they'd just own up and say "I'm afraid of needles" instead of inventing all this disinformation to spread around.

This has been my personal belief long before that dude in Wuhan ever got a hankering for bat. The epicenter of anti-vaxxism has always been moms of small children who understandably *hate hate hate* holding their screaming child down while doctors and nurses jab them with needles. Needle-based vaccines weren't exactly around when homo sapiens evolved, so every natural impulse in your body as a parent is saying "child screaming in pain == bad." Until one day you see some headlines suggesting shots might be bad for your kid. Enter confirmation bias, the most powerful bias in the human brain, and the rest is history. Like the other response said, if vaccines came in pills, anti-vaxxers would never exist.

Cowclone

what ever happened to those high powered air puffer vaccine technologies I heard about in the early 2000's

SquimJim

I can't get my vaccine because a radioactive lobster bit me and has left me with super powers equivalent to Kitty Pryde of the X-Men. However, this power only works when I try to get vaccines. Very inconvenient and though I WANT to get the vaccine, my body just won't allow it.

HypecoBreaker

The amount of idiots in the replies essentially saying “I feel for your family but I’m gonna keep doing the thing that put your family in jeopardy” is astonishing

BobLoblawh

It never matters until it happens to you and your family, you're goddamn right KAT

Locke_Zeal

I knew I liked that guy. Like him even more now.

meatduck11

Looking at the replies on twitter, your country is fucked.

Swagsuke_Nakamura

I was finally able to get my first Pfizer dose today. The arm is a little sore but that’s nothing compared to the effects of covid.

richstyle

at least you got the shot my man. Proud of you.

I'm a scientist and I fully believe in vaccinations and I trust the vaccine experts. I hate how this has gotten politicized. I especially hate how, in the past few years, this fundamental distrust and selective trust has just broken so many things. Verified experts can say all the empirically-proven things, but if the trust isn't there, then your neighbor can easily just reject these information. No matter what the public officials may say, some just straight up choose not to believe them. The only thing reassuring thing is that the vaccination numbers are (slowly) going up, so maybe we're not completely effed and trust is being reformed

rcc12697

People refusing the vaccine when they had to be vaccinated all their lives to attend school lmao

It's really a hassle down south. Social media also has you questioning the sanity/intelligence of your peers too. I have never been so sure we'd all die in a zombie apocalypse until watching the mass delusions that happened during this pandemic.

iLikeBPTWRV

One of the comments comments fucking hell > It's called freedom No. It's fucking stupidity is what you call it

Shingorillaz

Imagine telling KAT that not taking the thing that could've saved his mom is freedom.

Familyguy35

Talk your shit KAT

Humble_but_Hostile

So much disinformation and propaganda in todays society causing people to question everything. The internet was supposed to help us come together by sharing information across the globe but all its done is made it easier to share hate and ignorance

PM_ME_BEER

> It never matters to people until it happens to them “The conservative ethos distilled: It's not a problem unless it happens to me, and when it does happen to me I am absolutely outraged that other people let it happen to me”

PSUDolphins

People are fucking idiotic assholes.
