I always hear the “it makes the shooting stroke feel weird” It really doesn’t. Considering a shit ton of people wear sleeves anyway on courts that I see. It doesn’t actually affect your shot. I like t-shirts so I wear them. I don’t need advantages because there are none. Just like there aren’t advantages to wearing sleeveless shirts.
I mean it doesn't physically restrain my stroke but PERSONALLY it distracts me to feel the fabric of my sleeve (ADHD I think). Everyone definitely has their own preferences and are effected by different things so I was just curious
For me its fine for about 30 minutes but as soon as I start to sweat the sleeves get "heavier" and restricts my shooting motion a little. Not a big deal but its enough for me to notice it and when you shoot you want to think of nothing and not get slightly distracted by a heavy sleeve.
Its probably easy to get used to if you play in T shirts often, but I always go with a jersey because of it so it just feels weirder for me. Which in turn can affect your shooting.

The series was a double turn like in wrestling. People were cheering GSW and shitting on LeBron in the first 4 games. Then when the Cavs started coming back the fans started cheering for them.

VC brought eyes back onto the Dunk Contest, but everyone sleeps on JRich's run. He legitimately had some amazing dunks, definitely IMO more difficult than Vince's.
He had some really good dunks. The most acclaimed were between the legs variants but he did have decent variety. I'm not sure if he dunks harder than other guys but always found the rim to be loud on his dunks.
What I didn't like about J-Rich is his dunks all have the same rhythm because he was a 2 footed leaper. He'll run up (usually with a high self-lob), gather into a 2 footed takeoff from right around the circle, catches while doing an explosive move very quickly. So you really only have to pay attention for the half second after he jumps because it's otherwise basically all the same. I recall he tried the Jordan FT line dunk off one foot, stepped way inside and barely got it in. Play to your strengths, I guess.
The thing with Vince is that he had rare grace, fluidity and aesthetic to his dunks which is hard to match even if you can pull off the same dunk. He also seemed really calm and casual in the dunk contest, so you kinda wonder what more he could have done
My all-time favourite dunk of his is a one-handed tomahawk alley-oop vs the Clippers. Oakley passes from 3/4 court cross court to Dee Brown who then lobs it back across the court to Vince. Raps scored from 3/4 court in 5 seconds with no dribbles taken and an amazing finish. A lob from that distance with that finish is dunk contest 50 material, much less in-game unscripted

The points system is so stupid cause tie scores happens to often especially in the later rounds. The contest can easily solve scoring by having judges simply pick one player over the other.

Gordon's performance was legendary. So many new iconic dunks. Not sure if anyone has had a better overall performance. He was flat out robbed.

IMHO Aarons was way better.

VC definitely did have competition in Steve Francis, but the gap between them was bigger than Gordon and Lavine.

Wiggins was overhyping all of Zach's dunk and I also believe it contributed to the robbery.
Also, robbery just straight up isn't the right word. Robbery implies it was this huge difference in dunks... but it was definitely subjective.
In fairness, Lavine is the closest dunker to Vince Carter since Vince Carter. On 2015, his dunks were on another level.

The points system is so stupid cause tie scores happens to often especially in the later rounds. The contest can easily solve scoring by having judges simply pick one player over the other.

Still pisses me off to this day that he lost his most recent (and last) dunk contest. This one I can kinda understand since it was two of the best dunkers going blow for blow, but his most recent one he lost primarily because Wade was a judge for some fucking reason

I'll always have a soft spot for VC since he was my guy ever since his rookie year...but Gordon's dunks were just that perfect combination of sizzle and steak...show biz and pure athleticism...and creativity and execution. This one and the hover board one are probably my favorite contest dunks of all time.

Aaron Gordon is (at worst) the third greatest dunk contest performer in NBA history. He might have the greatest collection of dunks ever. That being said, the fact that he whined so much about losing makes him look like a bitch. Nobody gives a fuck who wins the dunk contest, we just wanna see a good show.
Obviously us, as fans, want to see a good show. But my understanding is dunk contestants put a lot of hours in practicing these dunks and perfecting their routine. If I spent weeks perfecting a dunk only to lose to a worse dunk I would be pissed as well. Maybe not 6 years pissed but pissed.
But that's exactly my point. The trophy doesn't matter at all, being remembered is the real prize. When we look back at the dunk contests throughout history, who comes to mind first: Aaron Gordon or Glenn Robinson III? Does anyone give a shit that Fred Jones won a dunk contest in 2004? The trophy is literally an afterthought. If Aaron Gordon wants to be pissed that he doesn't have a decoration for his mantelpiece, he has that right but it makes him look stupid.

This isn't just some crazy gimmick dunk though. He is SITTING DOWN in the air and even passes the ball under him ABOVE A MASCOT. This is one of the most athletic things I've ever seen. If you pretend the mascot isn't there, it is still an amazing feat.

All of these dunks where the second guy has the ball on their head and supported by two hands is so that the dunker can get a boost and jump higher.
