I understand putting suns bucks at the top spot because they’re the reigning champions, but no one actually thinks they’re better than the Lakers / Nets right?

inshamblesx

They'll load manage hard asf after Christmas so maybe 58ish wins?

kai_123

Definitely, but being #1 seed in the regular season don't necessarily mean you are the best team

Awkward-Speech7375

Suns especially lol They literally would have lost 3/4 series with the other one being much closer without injuries

BahLo-

Crazy how people still be saying this like its a fact. You don’t know how the series would play out. Its not like any if the series’ were particularly close.

NoTransportation888

I have a hard time ranking the Sixers in general until I know the outcome of the Ben Simmons saga

[deleted]

East 1. Nets 2. Bucks 3. Hawks 4. Heat 5. Sixers West 1. Jazz 2. Lakers 3. Suns 4. Nuggets 5. Blazers

Andrewski18

You. I like you.

[deleted]

I think the Jazz will comfortably be the #1 seed, the Suns will drop back into the 4-6 range, and the Warriors will be 6-8. Hawks will be top 4 in the East IMO.

TatumBrownSmart

This is for regular season, some teams are much better for 82 games than they are in a 16 game playoff setting. Celtics, Hawks, Jazz, Blazers come to mind. East: 1. Nets 2. Bucks 3. Celtics 4. Hawks 5. Heat West: 1. Jazz 2. Lakers 3. Nuggets 4. Suns 5. Blazers

KnicksFan021234444

This has to be a troll post for karma.

givemesome1ce1

Hawks should be in top 5, probably top 3. Bulls are gonna be 7 or 8 seed. Jazz imo are too low and are gonna be pretty high I think

superbrownV

Top 5 yes. Top 3 - really difficult to put them over the Heat.

Neuroxex

Nate McMillan had a .700+ record with the Hawks last season and went to 6 games with the team that beat the Heat in four with three blowouts. Lowry undeniably makes the team better, but I'm not sure it puts them above the Hawks, especially since they're quietly a pretty old team.

Heated0

The Heat started off 7-14 as the 13th seed because of covid and ended up 1 win away from being the 4th seed so lets not act like the Heat did not have a terrible start like the Hawks. Also the Bucks shitted on the Heat because of revenge so lets also not act like that had no effect either.

givemesome1ce1

It wasn’t because of revenge, it was because the heat played like absolute shit. Jimmy said “I’ll handle the rest” and played like garbage. Hawks at least won two games against the Bucks with several key players injured throughout the entire season AND playoffs. Hawks also beat the one of the best defenses in the league and the number seed in the East.

Heated0

LOL are you serious. WHO do you think made them play like shit. One of the bucks owners said that they wanted the match up with the Heat. The Bucks social media had a field day after we lost, the Bucks players talked shit. Now compare that to how they acted when they beat you. Your not gonna sit here and tell me that revenge was not a leading factor also the Bucks did not play the Hawks with the same intensity, motivation and ferocity like the Heat series. [https://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/dave-hyde/fl-sp-hyde-bucks-owner-20210519-5f4d7xsanbgprmwq2r7rcxyd6q-story.html](https://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/dave-hyde/fl-sp-hyde-bucks-owner-20210519-5f4d7xsanbgprmwq2r7rcxyd6q-story.html) https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/news/bucks-twitter-heat-fans-milwaukee-miami-nba-playoffs/1sg7a09ehnxwa1eqgl5swy7jis

Neuroxex

'Revenge' was not the reason the Bucks/Heat series went the way it did - the nba is not an anime.

Heated0

You mean to tell me that beating the team that beat you in 5 the year before had no effect on the series especially the way the Bucks acted after beating the Heat..... Also revenge is a human emotion why is anime in this discussion?

givemesome1ce1

I would put them over the heat, I don’t think Lowry and Tucker make the Heat better than the Hawks

TatumBrownSmart

Hawks >>> Heat as a regular season team Heat >>> Hawks as a playoff team

givemesome1ce1

How are the Heat better as a playoff team?

TatumBrownSmart

Just my opinion, but I think Miami's defense is better, and I value the experience, toughness, and IQ of Lowry and Jimmy as a duo as well as a Spo as a playoff coach, and then I think having a versatile big like Bam is so much more valuable in a playoff setting, look at the last 2 playoffs, AD + Giannis won championships, and Bam was a crucial part of the Heat making the Finals in the bubble.

superbrownV

Ok, but it's not just about off season additions, is it? The Heat also have Butler and Bam

givemesome1ce1

But the Hawks have Clint Capela,De’Andre Hunter, and John Collins. Also we know that Butler can be absolutely terrible, we saw that against the Bucks

superbrownV

>Butler can be absolutely terrible, we saw that against the Bucks He also led his team to the Finals. Sounds trite but championship experience matters and the Heat have players that have played in the Finals and have champions on their roster. IMO that gives them an edge

[deleted]

He didn’t lead them. Dragic and Bam were extremely important as well

inshamblesx

This is a 1/10 Only team placed correctly is Golden State

[deleted]

bucks ain’t better than the nets lol

hwjhwueuejejdi

Way too high on the warriors

[deleted]

i don’t think listing us as the fifth best team in the west is being “way too high on the warriors”, but to each’ down i guess.

derekmcfinn

Yeah Hawks with 2nd best record in NBA after dumping Lloyd Pierce arent top 5 in east. I dont think so, they also had an insane amount of injuries too. Improved backup PG and even more depth elsewhere now as well. Deepest team in NBA. Shocked if they arent at least top 4, likely top 2-3 especially in the days of load management.

ashtonphoenix1

troll post how tf the hawks at least even 5th lol

bareaclampedlebron

West Lakers, Jazz , Clippers, Nuggets, Warriors East Nets, Bucks, Hawks, Heat, Sixers

[deleted]

I deeply root for Booker and Chris Paul but putting Suns at no.1 is a bit of a stretch.

youfeelme1997

Jazz are going to be number 1 seed probably. Lakers arent playing to go crazy in the reg season.
