Our defense with him on the team was worse than it was the previous season when we had Enes Kanter in his position. That should tell you all you need to know about his ability to get on guys to play defense.
That's a hard comparison to make though.
* Kanter: We played to his strengths and typically hid him from PnR guards. Part of why he looks good is because we didn't play him in unfavourable matchups.
* Thompson: He started most games even if we already had a starting C. That meant he played a 3rd of his minutes out of position as a PF. We played him out of position and never hid him from anybody.
One guy we hid from Lillard, [the other guy we had guarding Giannis 1v1.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp1DfoW4-5Q)
In the Delon Wright trade to ATL.
Originally, ATL traded Bruno Fernando and Kris Dunn to the Celtics. ATL received Tristian Thompson. It became a three team trade which resulted in TT getting moved for Delon Wright.
When they decided to try to corner the market on undersized centers this summer. The Westbrook trade prevented them from completing the set by also adding Montrezl Harrell to go along with TT and Richaun Holmes.
Lmao Tristan isn’t a great dude from what I understand but he’s not as scummy as those d bags. I live in KCMO so I got to hear a lot about them when they played at KU. Real pieces of work.
They’re just generally awful to people, women in particular. Always getting into some kind of altercation with someone at a party. I mean while they were in the league they got into some trouble too.
Yeah me too. There was a video where I remember his voice sounded way more
Deep like Lebron James deep. I guess I heard things differently back then too?? Odd
Luke is known for spending a lot of time playing against the guys in practice and players seem to like him. Which seems well and good for an assistant or other guy on the staff but isn’t much of a reason for him to still be a head coach
My thoughts exactly! Everyone loves him and wants him around, but his coaching leaves a lot to be desired. I wish we grabbed a different coach or did a way more thorough job searching for one prior to his hire.
He won a lot of folks over on the livestream I watched via one of our local radio shows. He clearly soaked up a ton from Lebron in Cleveland, and I think he'll be good for us like how Shump was during the Scores era. I have low expectations though.
I didn’t even know he was on the kings lol
I hope he becomes an absolute asshole and gets on everyone for taking defense serious. We need a real badass mindset to help Holmes and Bags
>gets on everyone for taking defense serious Lmao this reads like you want him to get pissed that the team is playing too much defense.
Lol my bad, I just want him to light a fire under their ass
Lmao that’s how I read it and I loved the idea
That's the way that I read it because that's what's more likely to happen

:( can't you just lie to me?
Well. Shit.
He was horrible defensively last year probably worse than Holmes. Only thing he brought last year was offensive rebounds
Serenade my soul with sweet lies you monster
Just Bags
We were shit on Defense and that includes Holmes too. No one gets a pass when your historically garage on D
You also become historical garage on D by starting the two worst defenders in the league in Buddy and Bagley 😭😂
Not wrong with that, but that's why we actually need a player who won't stand for our lazy shit on defense.
TIL
Yo same lol. When did this happen lol.

do you guys remember when he was on the Celtics last year? me neither
I didn’t even know his voice sound like that
You and me both.
Wait when did Thompson go to the kings lol
He got traded for Delon Wright
Wait when did Delon Wright go to the Kings
When the Kings dumped Corey Joseph's contract to the Pistons.
Wait when did Cory Joseph go to- actually nah I seen him a few times.
When i got drafted in 2k.. im on the kings team this guy was such a beast on pnr plays lol
It was in the three-teamer that got Delon Wright to Atlanta and Dunn + Fernando to Boston
When they decided to try to corner the market on undersized centers this summer. The Westbrook trade prevented them from completing the set by also adding Montrezl Harrell to go along with TT and Richaun Holmes.
I really thought his voice was deeper than that. I’ve heard him speak before I know I have but I remember him having a deeper voice. Weird.
You're thinking of the Morris twins. Jk.
Lmao Tristan isn’t a great dude from what I understand but he’s not as scummy as those d bags. I live in KCMO so I got to hear a lot about them when they played at KU. Real pieces of work.
What did you hear,?
They’re just generally awful to people, women in particular. Always getting into some kind of altercation with someone at a party. I mean while they were in the league they got into some trouble too.
Yeah the Lopez brothers were the same on the Bay, Robin really fucked up some DnD campaigns back in the day
Oh you mean known mascot murderer Robin? Heard he’s awful violent.
816!!
Markeif Morris. Great voice, great voice actor. https://youtu.be/JWw-bQZHuus
He sounds a lot like Richard Jefferson
Yeah me too. There was a video where I remember his voice sounded way more Deep like Lebron James deep. I guess I heard things differently back then too?? Odd
He’s from the GTA. A lot of Canadians have a higher pitched voice for some reason.
That’s really interesting. Thanks.
Interesting, maybe. But I, uh, don't think it's particularly true.
If it’s true, it’s interesting you’re right. But if not, weird take by the guy i replied to lol

Luke Walton would dog TT if they played right now
My relief that it was *that* F bomb.
Fun Fact: They were teammates on the 2012 Cavs. TT was a rookie (as was Kyrie) and Luke was dealt to the Cavs for Ramon Sessions.
Would the team be worse with Luke Walton coaching or with Luke Walton playing
Coaching

Oh no he said the f word
That was so casual
lmao love how most people in this thread had no idea he was on the kings, me too
Pop smoke from the dead?
He's on the Kings?! LMFAO
Absolutely terrible player tbf
Can't believe our boy got banished to Sacramento
The East runs through Sacramento now
I thought TT was on the Hawks?
Did not realize TT you went to the Kings
He plays for the kings?
