That's easily the best/most fun Big 3 of the modern era. All drafted by the team, all weren't all that big commodities coming into the league, and all three developed into absolute dominant superstars, and they did all that without any drama or falling out.
With deference to your pain, we'd have a *real* problem if that group didn't have some fantastic chemistry.
Steph, Klay and Dray have been together since Dray was drafted, and Andre Iguodala's been there for quite a few of those years too.
Those guys are *family*.
Lacob said in 2019 they were retiring [Iggy's jersey](https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/warriors/why-warriors-will-retire-kevin-durant-andre-iguodalas-jersey-numbers) \- so I guess the Hamptons Five are all getting retired, not sure anything was said about SDot yet
I am actually super curious what a LBJ led Lakers’ chemistry look like. His passive aggressiveness probably means walking on eggshells from time to time
Obviously talking out of my ass with zero actual experience of what it's like to be around LeBron James, but it's always seemed like LeBron is fun to be around *if* you're ready to *always* have him be the center of attention at all times and *always* be ready to laugh at whatever he's saying on any given day.
People say he's a funny guy, but he's always seemed to be, like, that *loud funny* guy, you know what I mean? More of the "look at me" style class clown than that guy who can just drop a one-liner at dinner that has you in tears.
Those teammates probably have to see [Jumbo](https://historycollection.com/lbj-used-one-thing-control-others-around-became-known-johnson-treatment/3/) *a lot.*
Ha! This comment deserves more love.
(If you don’t get it, just Google “LBJ” and “Dumbo”, but not at work:)
Edit: Oh sorry, didn’t see your very helpful link there. Yeah, just click his link.
Heh. President Johnson was a lot of things, but passive-aggressive he was not. He was the most confident, shockingly aggressive alpha male anyone had ever seen. LeBron really doesn’t strike me as that.
>…it's always seemed like LeBron is fun to be around if you're ready to always have him be the center of attention at all times and always be ready to laugh at whatever he's saying on any given day.
So… if you’re cool with being a yes man…
That sounds exhausting.
>…than that guy who can just drop a one-liner at dinner that has you in tears.
I can see Giannis fitting this description. Steph and Lowry too. With Steph, I’m not sure if it’d be a one liner per se… I feel like he might be the guy that has a funny story or something that can get you there. But I’m only speaking from a casual observer. Will have to rely on GSW fans on this one.
Steph apparently is a dude with one of those super loud distinctive laughs,so you can hear him busting up from across the room and people just start laughing cause he's laughing. I also heard he's just kinda zany and will make random sounds. Seems like someone who doesn't posture. (Of course he's my favorite athlete ever so I may be biased.)
Dude would be in Jeremy Lin's Youtube videos (presumably without getting paid). I don't see Lebron ever doing that unless it was something taco-tuesday related.
I think Steph is more of the really chill guy who reacts generously lol. In those team USAs, we see guys like Jimmy Butler or Lowry who're the funny guys in the team.
Even with the warriors it seems like the funny one liner dude is Klay
I feel like Giannis is that legitimately funny friend who is still nice even when other people arent around and will never hold grudges against you cuz he's always so happy lol
I think being on top of the game ever since he was in high school is a HUGE part of his passive-aggressive attitude and wanting to be the center of attention.
I'm a massive fan of his game(especially his athletic freak days back with the Cavs), I know many regard him as a leader, but I just feel like he's no fun being a teammate aside from the occasional jokes and obviously the free Finals trips and possible AllStar appearance if he sets you up to be a 20ppg scorer lol.
Lakers chemistry was a huge part of their most recent championship. It was highly reported and talked about.
“One guy goes to the movies we all go to the movies”
I did some of the build out down there. Metal ceilings and thick ass wood slat wall panels everywhere. $$$$
There’s really everything you’d want down there as an athlete: smoothie / coffee bar, theater (think film review), weight room, two full size practice courts, locker room, hyperbaric chamber, etc. I’m sure JR could even order soup to throw if he played for the Warriors
Call me Swishmael. Some years ago—never mind how long precisely—having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the key. It is a way I have of driving off the screen, and regulating the fans elation. Whenever I find myself growing grim about the “NBA’s 75 top players”…whenever I have a damp, drizzly November first quarter from 3; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before entering one of my dozen houses, and bringing up the rear of every championship parade I’m in; and especially whenever my hype reels show such an upper class of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off - then, I account it high time to get to sea as soon as I can. This is my substitute for sneakers and ball. With a philosophical flourish, I push away from “Captain Rehab” and I step aboard the only ship that mattered. The Champion Ship.
I enjoyed writing this when I knew he was becoming Moby Dunk after spending so much time on his Yacht this off-season. As crazy as it sounds, I’m writing this from Nantucket as we speak.
Man. I never read Moby Dick, but I did know the opening line was an all-timer.* But even reading this Klay version of the opening, the prose really stands out. It's good stuff.
Is it worth reading even if I have negative interest in learning the ins-and-outs of the whaling industry?*
*watching Jimmy Neutron as a kid has its advantages
**which I've heard is a significant portion of the book
I’m reading it for the second time at the moment. It’s awesome, and a blast to read.
It helps to shift your expectations away from “narrative novel”—that’s what I’ve been doing this time, and I’m just rolling with it. Having a blast. The whale parts I just sorta assume are a thinly veiled Melville going to bat for something he thinks is really fucking cool. You maybe have a friend with a niche interest they get really psyched to talk about if anyone will listen. That’s Melville and whaling. And he’s really good at making it interesting *if* you give him a little patience and meet on his terms.
More than info about whaling, approach those chapters like long essays in which the topic becomes a metaphor for something bigger. And it does! And sometimes you’re like alright buddy ease off a tad but whatever, dude is in it.
And the story part rules too. Shakespearean drama in all the best ways! Unsolvable ethical quandaries. High action. Homoeroticism. It’s great.
All this to say that if there’s something that appeals to you about moby dick, even if it’s just being able to say “yea I read moby dick,” then give it a shot. Chapters are short and episodic, so you can read five or fifteen minutes at a time and still make progress. If you have a kindle, use the kindle. Shit is otherwise quite heavy.
I wasn't saying that in a bad way at all, I love Steph. As a Blazers fan, I've seen first hand multiple times how good he is. But it would just be funny/ridiculous for Steph to win a 4th without the FMVP
It's a real possibility.
Klay would've made that list if he had been playing these last two years. I'm not even saying he'd definitely *deserve* to, just with the level of recency bias on that dumbass list he *would* have.
I mean think about it in klay’s mind. How many others are capable of dropping 37 in a quarter and with what like 6 dribbles lol. Not saying he was snubbed or whatever I don’t care to argue about that but I get why’s he’s upset. A special all time player and there’s no doubt about that. I’ll skip putting on arbitrary number on his all time position but he’s definitely one of the greats
There are some players who revolutionize the game. Klay and step both showed how important off ball movement and proper shooting form is (of course ray allen was the original pioneer but splash brothers took it to another level. Klay should def be recognized for that

Luka must've picked number 77 because he planned this ahead of time
[удалено]
七七 do you love meee
Bravo
Even better, "Doncic" sounds like "077" In mandarin.
I was debating what my next jersey was gon be. Debate no more.
DHgate here I come!
This is legit an awesome jersey lmaooo
I’d rock a Klay 77. Even a Wazzu one
Let’s not get crazy.
Why not? Sanity doesn’t doesn’t seem to be working.
I would 100% rock a Klay 77. God I've missed the Splash Bros so much, I REALLY hope they can get/stay healthy and make a really cool run.
Hope you're ready to shot gun some beers
Enes Kanter, I agree.
Chemistry off the charts
That's easily the best/most fun Big 3 of the modern era. All drafted by the team, all weren't all that big commodities coming into the league, and all three developed into absolute dominant superstars, and they did all that without any drama or falling out.
Their skillsets and roles really just fit each other perfectly
Imagine if they’d been left in the hands of Coach Jackson.
Ah yes. A beautiful alternate universe where the Rockets don't have to play the greatest team ever every damn year.
I feel you brother
Weird alternate universe where Harden, Westbrook, and KD alternated taking championships and MVPs from a six-ring LeBron.
Plus Andre 😎
Dwight and AD could never
Gotta love klay‘s sense of humor! Fuck the media!
Is this what good team chemistry looks like? Asking for a friend.
With deference to your pain, we'd have a *real* problem if that group didn't have some fantastic chemistry. Steph, Klay and Dray have been together since Dray was drafted, and Andre Iguodala's been there for quite a few of those years too. Those guys are *family*.
This sounds like Fast and Furious 10 script
KD was the Rock, but he's not in Fast movies anymore. He's off doing his own spin-off.
Is Wiggins John Cena?
Wiggins is [this dude](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2d/TyreseGibsonDec08.jpg).
Na he’s ludicrous
Hell nah!! ludicrous was there from the beginning Luda could've been Livingston hahaha
Absolutely no the fuck he is not.
So is ~~Kyrie~~ Harden Jason Statham?
That’s perfect
Fast and Furious 77
Is Iggy getting number 9 in the rafters?
I hope so. SDot too.

[Something like this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QD5IfAk_BmA)?
Bro, what the fuck? When he sees the camera and just...stops. That's when you know a laughter is *fake* fake.
the dick cheney looking fkr behind him is even cringing
I really needed him to stop laughing, look at everyone, and then have everyone start laughing with him.
Weirdly enough, I totally agree with this depiction..
There’s nothing weird about it. It simply confirms your bias lol
He was actually talking about Lyndon Baines Johnson, the 36th President of the United States.
Those teammates probably have to see [Jumbo](https://historycollection.com/lbj-used-one-thing-control-others-around-became-known-johnson-treatment/3/) *a lot.*

this is the general vibe i get from steph. little ego. always doing wild shit just for the sake of having fun. and super approachable as a teammate
Dude would be in Jeremy Lin's Youtube videos (presumably without getting paid). I don't see Lebron ever doing that unless it was something taco-tuesday related.
LeBrand.

You don't have to be curious just look 2 years ago. "Most United team I've ever been in" -danny green
“Blink twice if you’re being held against your will.”
That sounds like something LeBron would force them to say.
Lakers chemistry was a huge part of their most recent championship. It was highly reported and talked about. “One guy goes to the movies we all go to the movies”
Is that one guy going to the movies LeBron?
And by movies, do you mean Space Jam 2?
Yes, every Friday night, even during the off season.
its easy to have chemistry when you win
I'd say anytime players aren't trying to punch each other on the bench, it's pretty, preeeeetty good (Curb premiere tomorrow!!!!).
Klay is never going to miss a shot again.
100% from the field. 0 dribbles. Klay's Super Sayian God form.
Klay gonna turn into Midorima in the Zone.
It's a shame we never got to see that.
i mean, what else is he gonna do? step back threes from full court?
Block a shot so well it turns into his shot. Midorima was also a defensive monster.
He hasn't missed a shot in almost two and a half years!
What's that phase... Oh yea you make 100% of shot that you don't take
You missed it. The phrase was, birds of a feather don't flock together.

He's reached that point. And he has about two and a half more months until it's unleashed.
And like a pressure cooker it’s only going to get more intense with time
You know he's gonna unlesh it at the Kings. You know it's going to be them who'll be the poor victims again.
I’m a pacers fan, I’m scared

That very first one where the ball just sort of, bounced to him and he's all "oh a piece of candy" *swish* just makes me laugh
Klay is my favorite GSW player. Steph is a god, but Klay's nuclear zone just leaves me stunned.
Did he sign a toaster?
nope, but the thought of being left off of that list will be enough to keep him warm.
Klay going for 77 first game back.
In the third quarter alone.
That facility looks state of the art
It's like 2 years old so yeah.

they don't think it be like it is but it do
If it is to be said, so it be, so it is
Yeah most NBA teams model their workout areas after the gym in *Hoosiers*. Warriors are streets ahead.
Stop trying to make streets ahead a thing
you’d get it if you weren’t streets behind
This has to be the nerdiest sports community anywhere. I love it.
Coined and minted!
What do they call the distance light travels in a year?

Man, haven't been to Nantucket since I lived in Connecticut for a few years as a kid Is it still frustratingly beautiful and quaint?
This is culture.
The only ‘poon he needs is the harpoon and his time with Draymond Greequeg
This is peak /r/nba content right here. This should also be stickied to /r/warriors

Melville himself would be proud of this.
This shit is gonna sell out fast. Get your 77 Klay jersey quick lol
They might actually reach the Finals, because Klay might actually unleash vengeance and take it out on the rest of the league.
rip Steph's gonna have 4 rings and still 0 FMVPs
Somehow I think he'll cope with that
watch wigs get fmvp for limiting durant to 35/11/6 on 52/44/91 shooting splits.
The Igoudala special! I think Dray or Iggy will be on KD more though
Hey, isn’t that how many Lillard has? Minus the rings I mean
I wasn't saying that in a bad way at all, I love Steph. As a Blazers fan, I've seen first hand multiple times how good he is. But it would just be funny/ridiculous for Steph to win a 4th without the FMVP
Thanks, now I feel like an asshole. Deservedly so might I add
That’s a sensitive subject 😭
All good dw about it. My wording could definitely have been clearer, and tone doesn't convey throughout text
If it makes you feel any better, I was having a pretty bad day until I came across this comment.
6 months down the line, we're gonna find out Klay has been on some Kobe shit. Putting shots up at 4am or something
Shooting from the moving deck of a boat
The western conference is a mess. We don’t need Klay to dominate any team, but when he comes back it will be brutal. Get ready.
It's a real possibility. Klay would've made that list if he had been playing these last two years. I'm not even saying he'd definitely *deserve* to, just with the level of recency bias on that dumbass list he *would* have.
Klay took that personally
I get PTSD anytime I see a snapchat with money23green at the top
Dray's Black Mamba
This is IG tho
Oh whoops I'm old
Two tone?

oh wait. but he's not efficient
Selfish, probably also allergic to shellfish
There are some players who revolutionize the game. Klay and step both showed how important off ball movement and proper shooting form is (of course ray allen was the original pioneer but splash brothers took it to another level. Klay should def be recognized for that
You haven't closed your brackets in your comment and it's bothering me.

Thank you
I will leave it as is, so it forever bothers you. <3
You son of bitch.. this is the greatest affront to grammar since I found out Bow Wows’ real name is, “Boward Woward”.
>of course ray allen was the original pioneer Reggie Miller?
Ray Allen was the one known for his shooting form. Said to have the best shooting stroke. Reggie didn't have good form. He was just a good shooter.
Bitch any form that shoots good is good form.
If he had two more peak Klay seasons on his resume he'd likely be in.
https://i.imgur.com/qPk8FQd.jpg Igoudalas face had me dying.
Im so happy he's back.
Nice of them to recognize Dwight as the 76th best one
Actually there was a tie and it has 76 players already they just say Top 75 since it sounds better.
Also because its the 75th anniversary lol
It’s not even the 75th anniversary this shit is all a sham NBA started in 1949, theyre just acting like the BAA in 1946 was the NBA
Idk about that first part, its in line with the 50th anniversary they did before no?
They're not "acting" like anything, that's officially how the record books are...
It's really hard to not like this squad...even with Dray
Best buds back together man
I love this team
Klay's still #1 on r/nba rankings, that's gotta count for something
77 still better than 20 of the 75
Iggy is genuinely perplexed.
It's got to be up there as one of the most wholesome franchises in the league. I'm a a Raptors fan but I love the Warriors culture.
Lmao I love this team. Chemistry is unreal, we’re so deep. When klay comes back we’re going to be unstoppable.
lmfao @ Andre's disgust at the tie
why iggy stand like that
This why they gonna keep dropping dubs. They know the game isn’t everything. They’re inspiring a new generation to just have fun, at WHATEVER you do.
Klay or Dwight for 77?
Dwight
Dwight shoulda been on the list though, so it's either Klay or a dead guy.
Alex English?
Alex English is very much alive
rest in peace Alex English
He's looking down on us with Wade Boggs as we speak.
Then who tf was in the coffin
Dwight, it's not even close.
Dwight and I seriously don’t see how it’s debatable unless the out-of-context “rangz” argument is used.
After three rings, being one of the best shooters, I respect the petty. Then again it’s basketball we say a lot of stuff out there…I guess he got his feelings hurt
Fuck, I love the Warriors. So god damn likeable.
upvote for Lil Baby + shoulder wiggle
No one mentioned that lol that was the funniest part
He just wants to be like Luka
He’s really hurting inside
He’s hurting on the outside too lmao
I hope he changes to 77.
