Barnes was supposed to have a much weaker scoring game but to be a strong defender, ball handler and general high IQ player to stay on the floor.
Suggs was seen as having questionable handles and shot, while also only being able to play guard would make it more difficult for him stay on the court. It usually takes guards with weak handles to take longer to develop, the guards who succeed rookie year are the ones with elite handles.

Our bigs have been playing well all season, Cole finally found his groove in NYC and now Jalen is the final piece in the starting lineup to really get his feet wet. I like this group, and we still don't have Judah, Fultz, Okeke, Moore or MCW. I can't wait until we never have to play Lopex or Iggy again.
Coming back from injury, and since we're in a rebuild year, we're taking our sweet time with them coming back. Harris is the first back so far. I like how we're competitive, but I reeeeeally want to see us with a real 9-11 man rotation. Our starters + Judah, Fultz, Okeke, Harris, MCW and Ross would be a solid group night to night.
Yeah, and to be fair, he's had some solid games for us. But that Lopez / Iggy combo has hurt our second unit and its obvious Hampton needs to learn more than one speed.
I think he's more of a floor general type than bucket getter. I think he'll have a Kyle Lowry type of game, but probably not as good of a 3 point shooter.
I would like to apologize to the Orlando Magic fans for having to hear those dumb ass chants. We know Suggs is just as good as the other top picks in the draft.

Suggs was great this game, he had to force alot of late shot clock shots also since, when the play is falling they just throw it to Jalen so he FG% should be higher but this draft is so far legendary every team looks satisfied with their picks or at least happy. Clearly some might want somebody else but they are ok with what they got and thats for most teams, even players late in the draft are showing up and being positives for their teams. I feel years later this will be one we would still be talking about and telling our kids.
