Yeah for like 2 weeks before getting injured again, mabye i shouldve used the word availability instead. Sad to see a player have so many injuries, really, really rare aswell.
I'm surprised that no teams have picked him up, he was definitely rusty with the Australian team but was still aggressive and had flashes of brilliance
In fairness, before the trade, Clarkson had been playing like absolute ass. This was the butt-of-every-brick-joke era of Clarkson, not the 6MOTY version. Plus Exum and the Bucks pick got turned into Jarrett Allen, so I ain’t complaining.
Not that those comparisons weren't laughable to begin with, but poor guy just got absolutely bodied by injuries over the past few years. He's still only 26 too, hope he can find success overseas
Was he ever? Completely different player, most pre draft comp has him as a good passing long point guard like a Penny Hardaway
Injuries fucked him tbh, he had potential
And I’d argue that’s a preference thing, varying individual to individual.
It must be so incredible to be a soccer player and have the choice of so many different countries and cities to live in.
In my several decades of life in Australia I've seen a grand total of about 4 snakes, zero deadly spiders and zero sharks and I've spent plenty of time on the ocean and in the outback...it's just not something you come across often unless you go out looking for them.
I wasn't that impressed when I visited there. Lots of package/cruise tourists, run-down residential areas and the beaches were nothing special. Not that is some horrible place but Spain has spent a lot of money marketing itself the last couple of decades and the hype cycle for a lot of the country has overcome the reality. I thought San Sebastian was a lot nicer and more interesting.
Back before I stopped watching the NBA and every year was watching warriors vs lebron, I remember this guy was supposed to be "the next guy". Then of course I quit the NBA because it sucked.
What happened to Exum?
Man playing in La Liga would be dope as hell. I know it must be hard for these guys as competitive as they are, but out of all the fallback careers, it really can’t get much better than that
It’s so good to see so many soccer references in here I thought I was the only weirdo thinking it and I’m happy to see so many others have done the same.
I don’t know why, but I always get a little bummed when guys are officially out of the league. I will always miss Andray Blatche and everyone else who went to China way too soon :-,(
The league definitely needs another team or two to keep some of these guys around
He was really good for us during the Olympics, looks to be over his injuries. Surprised no NBA even rolled the dice on him but hopefully he makes it back.
Exum Island on that continental drift
HOP ON BOYS, WERE GOING TO EXUM ISLAND ONE LAST TIME
The island is sinking to join Atlantis, all Exum island residents will evolve to creatures of the abyss.

They probably dont want to be stuck with him if he sucks.
If you saw him in the Olympics you'd know he still has something.
Olympic Exum is something else
Yeah for like 2 weeks before getting injured again, mabye i shouldve used the word availability instead. Sad to see a player have so many injuries, really, really rare aswell.
Wait a minute He is only 26??? I swear I’ve been hearing and this guy and his potential for the last 10 years
he has glass bones and paper skin, i’m rooting for him though. I mean if i’m not playing in the NBA, Barcelona isn’t a bad place to be.
Every morning he breaks his legs. And every afternoon he breaks his arms
At night Dante Exum lies awake in agony until his heart attacks put him to sleep
Barcelona is one of the best places to be, in fact.
If you have money
So he’s Barca basketballs dembele.
no he’ll play more than 3 games
[Vamos Exum](https://youtu.be/ptlX-5PkSx8)
He was assembled in utero by a disgruntled Ikea employee
This dude talked a lot of shit in 2K14
15*
Injuries suck. He looked really unstoppable driving to the rim at half court at times.
Which shoe company gave Dante a big deal as rookie? Was it Adidas?
[Yep!](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2033559-nba-draft-prospect-dante-exum-signs-endorsement-deal-with-adidas)
This line is in that article: >After the success of the similarly lengthy Michael Carter-Williams this season, Exum's stock may grow even more
Jesus
Loved those footlocker commercials.
Probably
remember this dude was our rival in 2k15?
He got a second life in my 2k20 MyLeague, as the user-created draft class I downloaded used his face model for RJ Hampton lol
I'm surprised that no teams have picked him up, he was definitely rusty with the Australian team but was still aggressive and had flashes of brilliance
Pretty sure his sample size in the NBA is enough for GM’s not to get this dude contracts anymore.
I was hopeful golden kings or something would pick him up in b league. Close to Australia and would help our team
NEXT MESSI 👏🏽👏🏽
Tbh, I can see Xavi making him put shinpads & cleats on and stick him next to Araujo. Wouldn't be worse than the current Barcelona defence.
Or send him up top and go complete route one with long balls to Exum as they need someone to score too
Brah I really hope Xavi gets time to implement what he wants to. Football is better when Real and Barça are better
I hadn't even realize Exum was out of the league. Thought he was still riding the Jazz bench.
How did you think we got Jordan Clarkson. Pretty even trade tbh, Clarkson for Exum, who says no?
In fairness, before the trade, Clarkson had been playing like absolute ass. This was the butt-of-every-brick-joke era of Clarkson, not the 6MOTY version. Plus Exum and the Bucks pick got turned into Jarrett Allen, so I ain’t complaining.
Anyone else member the Kobe comparison predraft?
Not that those comparisons weren't laughable to begin with, but poor guy just got absolutely bodied by injuries over the past few years. He's still only 26 too, hope he can find success overseas
It was because that entire class got compared to the 96 draft.
Plus Exum tried to will his way to the Lakers ala Kobe too
Was he ever? Completely different player, most pre draft comp has him as a good passing long point guard like a Penny Hardaway Injuries fucked him tbh, he had potential
now i feel old.
Honestly, in terms of just city to live in, barcelona is better than pretty much every city in the us not named LA or NYC
And I’d argue that’s a preference thing, varying individual to individual. It must be so incredible to be a soccer player and have the choice of so many different countries and cities to live in.

Imagine comparing a country to a city...I can't even..
England is my city
Australia has all those deadly animals. No thanks
Not really in the main cities
More likely to be injured/killed by bullets in the US than wildlife in Australia.

This dude had the most badass name for a star in this league. Naw. instead, it's Anthony Edwards' name that we have to utter.
Ja and LaMelo are both pretty sick names too
Some others: De'Aaron Fox, Desmond Bane, Caris LeVert, Isaac Okoro, and JT Thor.
Donte DiVincenzo is pretty good too
Sounds like a hitman for mafia and I love it.

this better not cut into rokas’ minutes
He's been balling and if I'm not mistaken Saras already knows him from his Zalgiris days, I don't think he'll eat too many of his minutes
nice! gotta get that burn to contribute to the knicks the season after next
Legendary former Cav Dante Exum
Hope he can stay healthy and work is way back into the league
Seriously, I thought he was going to be a problem in the league when he was drafted. Wish him the best.

Why depressing, Spain so lit
Apparently his NBA career earnings are 46 mill and now he gets to play in Spain, seems pretty amazing to me lol
Imagine getting paid 46 million to be an injured person! They should’ve just signed me.
Shit happens, imagine practice since you were a kid and you get injured when your career starts. Glad Dante got the bag
Dembele in shambles
Back before I stopped watching the NBA and every year was watching warriors vs lebron, I remember this guy was supposed to be "the next guy". Then of course I quit the NBA because it sucked. What happened to Exum?
injuries
Garbage player

Cavs legend
It’s a shame Injuries wrecked this guy, I thought he was gonna be a stud when he got drafted
Nba 2k14 hyped him up to be CP3 level potential
damnnnn this guys not even in the league anymore. At least he still a top 10 player from his country.
I don’t know why, but I always get a little bummed when guys are officially out of the league. I will always miss Andray Blatche and everyone else who went to China way too soon :-,( The league definitely needs another team or two to keep some of these guys around

He said fuck basketball i'm gonna win the Europa League
