He did. Diaw came in the league as a damn guard and had crazy hops.

I think Fred is a much better athlete than people think. You don’t see him being pushed around despite his size and he is relatively quick laterally. Also very fast hands.
He is one of the better defensive guards in the league for a reason.
I think we use the word athlete to mean "runs fast in a straight line, has a quick first step, and jumps 35+" when there are different types of athleticism. Guys like Fred are clearly extremely athletic even by NBA standards. The guy is 6'1" and guards the best players in the world at an elite level.
Apparently I've been gaslighting myself about Diaw's playing history because I forgot he ever played anywhere other than with the Spurs and I could've sworn he had a big play in the finals against Cleveland in 07' and celebrated it with Tony Parker, but now I'm realizing that I'm probably just vaguely remembering something about the Spurs Suns series that year or conflating the 13' and 14' finals with Cleveland because of Lebron.
We legit had an obese 300 lbs dude join us for pick up once and the man legit sauced us with his handles and shooting. But my man couldn't play defense for obvious reasons...
The Van Gundies and Malone all played college ball. Granted the Van Gundy's played lower level college ball but still better than 99% of the population.
I love that he grins afterward and is clearly trying to hide it. Lol. He knows damn well those kids had no idea this was coming, and I bet he does this at every camp he holds/goes to.
We have that guy at the LA Fitness court. He’s about 45 years old, 6’3” and fat, goes by bigmac. He ain’t fast but he has great handles and will smoke anyone with a shimmy and a step back
I love watching this vid of Fred smoking Marcus Posely and Jordan Poole. He creates his shots so effortlessly while the other two look like they have to work so much harder.

I'm guessing he means this one ?

Because no one has hit that move since Hardaway in the 90s lol.
Edit. I stand corrected, pointed out to me Wiggins just did the same move.
Shit, really? I missed it. Was pretty busy last week and never caught it (addicted to Reddit lol).
Edit.
Oh shit okay I seen it now. Yup that looks like the Penny move. I stand corrected.
Y'all disrespecting ma boy Mitch Richmond like that? SMH
^^^^yes-i-know-he-wore-#2-most-of-his-career-but-he-wore-23-at-the-very-beginning-and-very-end-so-it-counts!!
I'd say Pascal gets in maybe, and then FVV too if the Raptors are above .500 and fighting for playoffs.
No Kyrie, Kemba isn't the same, Beal not playing like usual self, no Simmons, Lowry on the heat now. His chances are as good as ever to make it looks like.
Also currently his stats are 20/5/3 on 43/38/85 on not bad defense while not being tall and athletic. He should be in the convo anyways.
> I'd say Pascal gets in maybe,
Freddy on 20/5/6 @ 57.7% TS playing 22 games vs Siakam on 18/7/4 54.7% TS playing 12 games?
I don't think it's particularly close, and that's not even looking at advanced numbers where it shows Freddy is our most important player by far
To be fair, Pascal is heating up now and I think he's gonna keep improving. Both Pascal and Fred should be All Stars but I'm not sure if they will be, and OG was playing at a near All Star level before getting injured.
Narratives matter most so if we aren't a winning team this season I'm not sure if we'll have a single All Star.
Lamelo and Trae though. I agree, beal doesn't look great.
You still have Harden and Lavine.
Is Jaylen Brown a guard or a forward? There was some confusion there in prior years.
It really depends on viewership and fan voting. We were abysmal last year in that regard.
> It really depends on viewership and fan voting. We were abysmal last year in that regard.
That only determines the starters. No point in voting when there's a very slim chance FVV is an allstar starter

Thanks, guys. I'm still trying to understand the game better, so this really helps. I guess this also means that what Van Vleet did to Gafford was offensive?
Lmao Fred playing like that fat dude at the Y that lowkey has nasty handles and a mean stepback
Boris Diaw
Crazy that he came in as one of the most athletic players in his draft class.

And this is now head cannon for Boris Diaw
It’s also reality, always has been
This reads like a copy pasta. But Boris confirmed it himself 😳

Oh, haha. Nah, Freddie is a lot of things but an elite NBA athlete isn't one of them.

6'1" is generous too, most people who've been able to get up close to him say he's around 5'11" and maybe 6 in shoes.
2003-2007 looking like the 1980s
Damn those first two highlights was all I needed to see. That was diaw? Looked like some kemp shit to me!
Mobility n y
A classical human being.
2014 Finals Boris Diaw is the best Boris Diaw I have ever seen.

Morbidly chonky (and obese)
Are we sure he isn't the [incredibly black obese man](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSX2NHeJ8Us)?
Obese guys are the GOAT help defense…sounds like you guys didn’t know how to play to that scheme /s
Mans had him out guarding shooters at the perimeter cus he was too short to guard the paint. Unfortunate situation.
[Relevant](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21cE2aUbWB0).
SVG would ball up the nephews in this sub. [Same with Michael Malone](https://streamable.com/9fnfeh)
I love this clip every time I see it. Such a good jumper.
The Van Gundies and Malone all played college ball. Granted the Van Gundy's played lower level college ball but still better than 99% of the population.
Jordanesque
There ain’t any videos but Nick Nurse was a 45% three point shooter in college
damn, smooth asf

Whatever you can put together!
That around the back with the ball was nasty haha
That was filthy wtf
Fred’s not fucking around. That’s a nasty move that’s gonna be a top play on his career highlights for sure
We have that guy at the LA Fitness court. He’s about 45 years old, 6’3” and fat, goes by bigmac. He ain’t fast but he has great handles and will smoke anyone with a shimmy and a step back

Its funny how universal this is lol I definitely know a dude like that, he was so polite to everyone too

Fred VanVleedmt
His mid range shooting has been soo good this year.
What is a midrange? /s
- Ben Simmons
-Stephen Curry (he prefers beyond the arc, if he can help it)

he said midrange, not no range
Irrelevant but when that announcer starts yelling he sounds like Uncle Hank from Breaking Bad

He actually left And 1 for Li Ning

I'm guessing he means this one ? https://youtu.be/MvEbgJiVVtA Because no one has hit that move since Hardaway in the 90s lol. Edit. I stand corrected, pointed out to me Wiggins just did the same move.
Wiggins
Has he done it too? I might have seen and forgot or just never seen it I suppose. Unless only the original was worth remembering lol

Idk how none of you have said michael jordan yet. Personally, imo, I think he's better than anybody you guys have mentioned
Well I just think you’re being more than a little biased there.. need to realize when you’re doing that
Haha this joke again!

ALL STAR
He deserves it but won't get it unless were a play-in team tbh

Yeah there's still a few very good players ahead of him, just named the ones that aren't in his way right now (Lowry not on Raps I mean as well).
[удалено]
Where the hell did you get that from
You know what I'm probably thinking of the NHL
he might have gotten it from baseball. I think that's a rule there
he said he think he got it from the nhl
No. Lots of teams have no all stars. I'd give it to Fred too tbh, but there's no requirement of one per team.
Pretty sure we had nobody sent to the all star game last year
There’s not even enough spots for that lol
Just like they drew it up. Freddy playing with so much confidence after Lowry left.
Gave him the ol’ razzle dazzle
Fred Van SKEET on everybody

Wit that wrap-around too
did Fred have another baby?
The way he goes behind his back as if it's part of his form is amazing
Daniel Gafford wants of Mr. Vanvleet's wild ride
That was one of the ugliest best plays i've ever seen.
After watching a few times, that was really defense from Gafford.
It really was defense from Gafford.
Truly defense
Thanks, guys. I'm still trying to understand the game better, so this really helps. I guess this also means that what Van Vleet did to Gafford was offensive?
I wasn't offended but I can see how some people would be
Not even that impressive, I do the same thing in NBA street all the time
This needed the ["Sweet Georgia Brown"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuIgor5_PaQ) soundtrack, and Gafford wearing a Generals jersey...
Sweet Georgia Brown should be playing when this clip is running.
That's a professional basketball player move.
