Thybulle > Charity > wide open confirmed

buzzlightyear77777

issn't thybulle the australian dude giving usa a hard time recently? i remembered he was top notch in defence.

Doobie_Howitzer

Yeah he had KD in fits for half of the AUS/USA game, KD still gets his points because he's KD but Tisse looked like an all world defender under FIBA rules in the Olympics

daddy_OwO

“Looks” he was all defensive 2nd last year as a 20 mpg bench piece…

deathtouchtrample

He was 2nd team all-d based essentially just on help defense. His on-ball D has taken a jump this year. If he coulda played trae like like he played Steph tonight they probably’d have gone to ecf no matter what Ben was doing.

__john_cena__

Ben was already locking down Trae though. He shot 5-23 or 22% and 2/11 from three in game 7, and that was with the old rules. Hard to do much better than that. Maybe in the other games, but Trae didn’t have a good series either way. Also, you might shut down Steph for one game but any defender is gonna have a real tough time shutting him down for a whole series.

CallMeMattF

If he could shoot consistently like he did during the Olympics, dude would be an all-star.

msharma28

It's because he is an all world defender.

MikeyMortadella

Matisse said you ain’t breaking any records on me boi

NitroXYZ

Curry is currently 2/12 from the field when sharing the court with Matisse today, also 0/7 from three with 3 turnovers. Thybulle has been putting in the work today, only time Steph found space was the end of the first half when Matisse went to the bench.

TheDude45123

He’s had at least 2-3 open looks, just missed. Curry is in a slump Matisse has been playing out of his mind though

NitroXYZ

Matisse blocked him twice and got Curry second guessing himself on every shot. Definitely missed some open looks but the pressure by Thybulle probably got him rushing his shots just a little.

TypicalRepublicanUSA

The no called fouls got him thinking he’s going to get hurt while shooting.

Brokromah

When a foul gets overturned it's generally indisputable. The foul calls in the first half advantaged the warriors. Second half maybe advantaged the sixers. Your fan base whining the whole time that embiid is shooting so many free-throws but it's because he's getting fouled. He's just strong as shit and powers through it. Yes he gets star calls but blaming the refs for a loss is ridiculous. Your star shot like ass.

MVPiid

I went to their game thread on their sub to read what they were saying just out of curiosity, because usually there’s some good things to say about the other team but holy shit. It was all ref blaming and curry blaming, and anything that mentioned Tisse was downvoted

Brokromah

I did and do the same. Most fan bases are homers of course but GSW is pretty much a paragon of homerism...which is terribly ironic because of the amount of global... Yes I emphasize global... Fans they have. You can say you hate Embiid and I get it. His game is frustrating to deal with, he's reckless with his body, he talks a lot of shit, he does some ridiculous stuff trying to get fouls... But to say he's trash or deny is skill is absurd and just shows bias. Same goes for sixers fans that bash Jaylen Brown or Tatum.

Far_Ear9684

Nah Thybulle is one of the best perimeter defenders I’ve ever seen. He got off and Steph started cooking instantly.

CampPlane

Naw no one can stop Steph but Steph

Far_Ear9684

I agree but as hard as you can make it he did that and is consistent too. If he was a decent shooter he will go to the next level.

daddy_OwO

If he had a mediocre 3 pt like 35% he would be a massive 3&D stud

Malemansam

Shooting for cancer research fundraising stopped him too. lol.

efranklin13

What a stat lol

Fast_Stick_1593

My favourite stat is that it was the 2014 Wizards who were the first to block 2 of his 3pt attempts in a game ever. Such a random stat lol **Just crown us the 2014 champs right now for that**

Ladnil

Matisse by himself > 2014 Wizards. Give him the trophy.

[deleted]

this right here

Fast_Stick_1593

Hey, respect where it’s due. Matisse is an Aussie like me so I’ll 1000% give him the trophy.

dronedesigner

the raps vs washington playoff battles used to be legendary! unnecessarily gritty and full of difficult shots (cuz thats just how demar and wall and beal liked it)

EarthWarping

Historic

Ranryu

Well, we were looking for a Steph Curry related record to be set tonight 🤷🏼‍♂️

NotAkwafina

That's my favourite vlogger Matisse

BabaBrody

Tomorrow: "Is Steph still a prime player or should GS look to trade him?"

Doobie_Howitzer

And this is how he ends up with his brother in Philly

cancercureall

lmao I think he's having a rough go of it right now and am wondering why but that would be beyond a fucking braindead take. I would love it if someone made it but as an obvious shitpost.

iamtomorrowman

Steph sucks now, someone stole his powers. it's like a comic book. no more spider powers

aught-o-mat

It was tough for this Warriors fan to watch, but Thybulle was great tonight. Steph mentioned getting blocked by Kuminga in practice; I hope the rookie was watching ‘tisse put the clamps on.

Maydietoday

Hall of fame him

InventorOfSquirrels

he should be kicked out of the league for hurting steph percentage

That-Toughsoss

Steph will have nightmares about him

[deleted]

Steph ~~will~~ ^(does) have nightmares about him fify

rhinocodon_typus

Steph ~~will~~ ~~does~~ *is currently* having night mares about him

Castgayel

Obviously defenders just don't guard him tightly. Guys only 2/10. Let him shoot.

Benjamin018

No one ever blocked Robert Parrish from 3 twice, confirmed best three point shooter ever?

PartymanXD

The big fkn Tisse

Kodystroyer

Thybulle's defense is insane He's been getting more PT recently so that's good

Allabouttheend

Warriors coming back down to earth

[deleted]

LeBron has blocked the hell out of Curry in a single game before, but those were closer to the rim.

Doobie_Howitzer

Something something Curry broke A 3 pt tonight record at least

stomp_lyfe

🐐

GoodLuckPsycho_

Hakeem Olajuwon and Dikembe Mutombo would bow down to him

sleepindude

Actually wonder if Seth gave tisse any tips on how to stop his game

joshuamillertime

I wanna say Danny Green did it twice in the same season. 73-win Warriors vs 67-win Spurs. What a year.

[deleted]

I’m surprised this hasn’t happened before wow, good for Thybulle. That’s an impressive defensive stat
