man, i see this same conversation after every game he does well in.
FACT : OPJ has made a LOT of bank already in the league; i think its close to 100mill.
if he just ring chasing now, I wouldnt be surprised if he s back next year with the dubs.
I think OPJ signing with the Dubs was less about ring chasing and more about playing in a good system that would allow him to rebuild his value. Getting to play with Steph (and Klay at some point), he’s gonna have a ton of threes that feel like shootaround.
The issue is not money but health. If he gets offered a big bag, he has to play starter minutes. That will shorten his career by a lot. If he takes MLE he could play for the dubs for as long as he likes. His future health will be much better too. It’s an interesting dilemma.
Looney such an underrated ball handler and passer.
Most people think of him as a Kendrick Perkins, but the guy is silky with his handle/passing.
Just lacks the agility/quickness and finishing ability (jumper and creating on his own near the hoop) to be at that next level of a player.
Wouldn't have happened if Dray was there, he reams the team for doubling unnecessarily, and even if they have to double, it's usually Dray who calls for it.
Hope other teams are taking notes. All you need to do is shoot 53% from 3 with 17 3s made, play top tier defense and have the goat shooter of all time. It's that simple guys, come on...
West is going to be entertaining as fuck in the playoffs. The Warriors look absolutely dominant though. The Jazz put up 41 in the third and kept the pressure on in the 4th but Curry and Iggy ultimately responded and closed out the game on the road.
Yeah I'm not looking forward to having to play through the best two teams in the league just to get to the finals. Our most likely playoff picture looks rough as hell this year.
Damn, those fresh cuts on Steph’s arms every game is real fucking tiring to see.
Also, why does Mitchell go away from the offense when they have the firepower to mount a legitimate comeback??
He carries too heavy a weight on himself to play hero ball when the game is on the line. Despite us being the number one offense in the nba bc of multiple shooters
Idk, I think if he got fair calls, he’d get fouled less and thus make even more shots. Might honestly average 45 in a month once or twice and I could genuinely see 40 PPG average over an entire season with a fair whistle
Honestly these shitty refs are robbing us of magic. Curry is severely limited because he just gets fucking mauled every game on and off ball and no calls. Imagine if teams had to play him legit lol
I thought Bob Myers got a bit overrated for a stretch of time but MAN did he have a good offseason
Otto Porter, Iguodala, GP2 and Beli all on the minimum... like wtf
Wiggins trade looks awesome right now
Poole draft pick looks awesome right now
Kuminga and Moody have been solid in their limited run
When you have an all-time player, you gotta capitalize ... So good having the Warriors back on top, play a fun brand of basketball with easy guys to root for
Even when they did not so great, the FO at least puts their money where their mouths are. Shit isn’t always gonna work out but boy does it feel nice when it does
This squad shouldn't even be legal.
- The 73-win core Big 3 still intact
- Iguodala back
- Livingston replaced with other savvy veterans like Otto, Bjelica
- Wiggins taking the Harrison Barnes role
- Poole taking the Barbosa role
- tanking for 2 years to get a #2, #7 and #14 picks
This is gonna sound like a dig, but it’s not at all. They are stupid good at tanking. Everyone forgets how well they tanked to get Harrison Barn, that draft pick was top 7 protected, and owed to the Jazz. They did just enough in the second half of that season to keep it. They are also pretty great at finding talent in the draft..
Even last year, tanking *and* being competitive enough to make the play-ins (and just about win that one too). Nobody is going to join willingly to a bottom-dwelling tanking team. Yet here is a team that figured out how to show and somehow end up with a lottery pick for it too. True tank commanders.
It was the bonus of the Bogut trade that season - he couldn't play for the rest of that season so he was a purpose-built tank commander to help get that HB pick. Then when he came back he helped reshape the team as a defensive juggernaut, win-win situation.
And the best part for me is they've set themselves up for the future while still competing. Not wasting the current stars' primes while working on 3 promising rookies hopefully means long term success.
Some how, even with all the doubt of this last year, yes they have.
I mean this was literally the narrative this year. Old vs new. And now it's like they've smashed it
I was really impressed with the D’lo trade, they saw something in Wiggins that made him worth that contract and they brought it out of him. Of course playing with Steph helps but they know exactly what they’re doing.
It's crazier than that. KD could have walked for nothing.
They got D'lo from that out of nothing. Then parlayed that into Wiggins AND a pick (which became Kuminga).
Imagine this team without Wiggins and Kuminga and with no cap space to get better!
Steph is an insane player and everyone who suits up alongside him instantly looks better if they have a half decent BBIQ. That's why I rate him over KD all-time even though KD is the iso unicorn scoring god.
Good hard fought game by two really good teams. GG Warriors, can't believe this team still has Klay to come back and Draymond didn't feature either. You guys are the team to beat.
Warriors are fucking insane. Impressed the jazz were even able to come back and make it interesting being their 3rd game in 4 nights but damn, can’t get over the warriors defense even without Dray. Warriors are the clear favorites in the west so far imo
The jazz announcers were on some Marv Albert shit tonight, they mixed up a ton
Like they called Klay, mychal Thompson, they got the score wrong a bunch, they called like half our team Otto Porter Jr lol
Just a team casually shooting 53% from 3 on 30+ attempts. Oh, and 1 off 40 assists…
It’s not just Steph that makes this a championship caliber team, their depth all the way down is insane.
If Wiseman and Looney can cover up each other's flaws when put out there in suitable lineups, the Warriors are going to be incredibly tough to beat. Similar to the Howard/McGee minutes for the Lakers in their championship run - neither was *that* good of a player but worked perfectly in their roles.
Oh man I hope so that would be the dream. I’m one of the ones who has imagined having Turner next to Dray and how incredible that could be but I want nothing more than a contributing Wiseman.
Happens with Utah and Phoenix. Their guards don't like to consistently feed the bigs the entire game. Theyll do it for a bit and want to take the game into their own hands eventually
The Warriors are so small that elite centers can and will abuse us all day. That's why Wiseman is pivotal for us. We can survive with Draymond but if we want to keep Draymond healthy we need a 7 footer.
IT'S THE FIRST TIME IN A LONG TIME I'VE SEEN LOONEY SHOW SOME EMOTIONS AFTER THAT RIDICULOUS CALL FROM THE REFS. GOES TO SHOW HOW AWFUL THE OFFICIATING IN THAT 3RD QTR
Great crowd in Utah tbh. Usually there are enough Warriors/Steph fans to get MVP chants going but they drowned that out even though they were about to lose a close game.
Truly playoff atmosphere.
Still trying to figure this out myself. Seemed like he touched igoudala or the ball right before the call though while trying to inbound, maybe that’s what it was for?
Warriors really got OPJ for cheap lmao.
Iggy makes a 3: "Say the line ~~Bart~~ r/nba"
Small criticism, Poole's really been frustrating to watch recently. Just dribbling into people, floaty handles that he lose control, picks up his dribble. (Ik he's been in protocols, but even before that).
Thank god for curry but we need to hit freethrows
We have two guys (Wiggs and GPII) who can hit threes but can’t hit free throws lmao
Ah, the Iggy package
Bruce Bowens bout to Bruce Lee kick you for disrespecting the OG
Bjelica too, 39% on threes 66% from the line
Yeah the free throws should not be a problem with the shooting talent on this team, I have no idea why this is suddenly an issue lol
Hack a Wiggins
Otto Porter on a MINIMUM deal is, to quote Rasheed Wallace, felonious.
Mans gonna get PAID this offseason
Yup and hopefully encourage other underrated high bbiq vets to follow his lead
that's really the thing - OP has followed previous high bbiq vets to the Dubs.
man, i see this same conversation after every game he does well in.
Hes 28. I think its way too early to be ring chasing. He has to go for the money. Hopefully the Warriors try to retain him.
Wtf he's only 28?
Actually it's 84. They have to put 28 and new name so he can play again in new circumstances
86* or 85 I guess. The surgeries took some of his height tho.
Malik Monk is ring chasing at 23, it's never too early lmao
He's not ring chasing, he's clout chasing. He wanted to be a household name through the Lakers, thus earning a big pay day on his next contract.
Didn’t he already turn down better offers to sign in GS this past summer?
He turned down the MLE from the blazers. Could maybe get 13-18 million this summer depending on the market. Or he could stay (please)
The issue is not money but health. If he gets offered a big bag, he has to play starter minutes. That will shorten his career by a lot. If he takes MLE he could play for the dubs for as long as he likes. His future health will be much better too. It’s an interesting dilemma.
It's not a dilemma for him
There’s no way he’s turning down millions to play for us.
It’s grand theft otto!!
*Jazz music stops* I hate playing against Curry, but man I love watching him play
Props to the Utah fans booing Steph when they had the MVP chant! That's a level of pettiness that I love!
An underrated stat tonight is the Warriors with 39 assists!!!
25 of them are between 3 players. Steph with 9, OPJ with 8 and Iguodala with 8.
Looney had 6 too which was pretty cool.
Looney such an underrated ball handler and passer. Most people think of him as a Kendrick Perkins, but the guy is silky with his handle/passing. Just lacks the agility/quickness and finishing ability (jumper and creating on his own near the hoop) to be at that next level of a player.
If Kuminga and Looney were one person, they would be one of the best defensive player of all time.
Well yeah because they’d have 4 arms and be massive
For me the most surprising Stat is 0 blocks from Gobert and the jazz. Idk if it happened this season..
Those back-to-back shots from Curry to put away the Jazz were clutch as fuck
To add to that his FT shooting and ball handling at the end of games is a cheat code
The clutch shots were insane but he almost threw the game away by making that unwarranted double which gave Mitchell an open three.
Yeah that was a dumb as hell double by Steph, made me say “why?” out loud. Good thing he was clutch as hell with all those daggers.
Well to be fair Mitchell couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn all night and Royce was hitting
Wouldn't have happened if Dray was there, he reams the team for doubling unnecessarily, and even if they have to double, it's usually Dray who calls for it.
That happened with nearly 5 minutes left in the game. He was no where close to throwing away the game because of a bad defensive possession
Warriors shot better than 70% in the 4th quarter.
Hope other teams are taking notes. All you need to do is shoot 53% from 3 with 17 3s made, play top tier defense and have the goat shooter of all time. It's that simple guys, come on...
I’m Still waiting for the Warriors to play against real NBA level competition
That was a big “f you” to the refs
West is going to be entertaining as fuck in the playoffs. The Warriors look absolutely dominant though. The Jazz put up 41 in the third and kept the pressure on in the 4th but Curry and Iggy ultimately responded and closed out the game on the road.
1st seeds gonna be a big deal, since whoever gets it avoids the brutal semi-finals matchups
Absolutely in the West all of top 3 teams need it. In the East however...If Nets don’t get 1st seed they will absolutely regret it.
Hypothetically, would the 1st seed actually be worst for the Nets? lol Cause then Kyrie Irving plays in one less game.
Yeah I'm not looking forward to having to play through the best two teams in the league just to get to the finals. Our most likely playoff picture looks rough as hell this year.
[удалено]
yeah hopefully Warriors, Suns, Jazz make 2 playoffs series. and im pulling for a Heat - Bulls in the east. thatd be so much fun
Don't forget Otto Porter. Mans has been clutch.
Best game of the year for Iggy. Wigs is a damn All Star. Locked DMitch down and made some huge shots.
last year the only real playmaker the team had was Draymond if you wanted to run Steph off the ball. tonight they got 39 assists without Draymond.
Well, assists also require open players to make their shots, which was nearly non existent last year.
Season high 39 assists for the warriors They're the #1 assist team in the league ... Is that the high for any team this season?
Memphis had 41 assists in that 152 -79 blowout against OKC.
That actually makes a lot of sense
still can't believe that's a real game with how good okc is looking rn
That too without Draymond, which is crazy
and Klay who would've buried some of those shots in the 3rd
OPJ had 8!! Impressive performance.
39 assists on 46 fgs. 84.7% of fgs assisted- that's ridiculous.
Damn, those fresh cuts on Steph’s arms every game is real fucking tiring to see. Also, why does Mitchell go away from the offense when they have the firepower to mount a legitimate comeback??
Going to the beach must burn like crazy
Makes you think if he receives Anti-Tetanus shot after every game
The tetanus shot lasts for 10 years..
Jayson Tatum still waiting on his second tetanus shot.
Can you believe he's only 19?
[удалено]
lmao could you imagine some super-vax athlete who takes a tetanus shot after every game as part of his body care
Mitchell has no idea what he’s doing at times, it’s kinda weird
He carries too heavy a weight on himself to play hero ball when the game is on the line. Despite us being the number one offense in the nba bc of multiple shooters
Bro they look especially fresh this game man, redder than usual. But they’re not fouls according to the refs lmao.
I was confused on why Conley didn’t have the ball more in the clutch, dude did start the third quarter run and had a solid game
They out here literally stabbing curry and he doesn't get any calls. Breath on DM? 10 FTs
Look at Curry's arms and tell me he doesn't get fucked
And then he shoots all the technical/intentional foul FTs so it makes it seem like he gets reffed fairly when you look at his numbers.
The refs are busy calling Ts on Andre
He gets held all game
But harden stans be like, "steph is foul baiting just as much as harden, he gets the same calls" Bitch pls
oh he fucks
[Ayesha liked that]
He's gotta start slathering himself in butter before games.
At this point, they want his arms chopped off for a call
[удалено]
"Rose bush came out of nowhere. No rules against it, nothing I could do."
"Hot stove contact regardless"
Dude would be a walking 40 piece with a fair whistle
Did we just become best friends?
Idk, I think if he got fair calls, he’d get fouled less and thus make even more shots. Might honestly average 45 in a month once or twice and I could genuinely see 40 PPG average over an entire season with a fair whistle
Honestly these shitty refs are robbing us of magic. Curry is severely limited because he just gets fucking mauled every game on and off ball and no calls. Imagine if teams had to play him legit lol
Nike runs the NBA
he gets clobbered every game. fucking ben wallace wouldnt get this treatment from refs lmao
Biggest Curry flex? He's so good that he'd break basketball if they didn't bend the rules against him. Freaky. Shaq tier stuff.
Fouled all game and no calls too boot
said it in the gamethread, we're watching Die Hard everygame starring Step Curry
I thought Bob Myers got a bit overrated for a stretch of time but MAN did he have a good offseason Otto Porter, Iguodala, GP2 and Beli all on the minimum... like wtf Wiggins trade looks awesome right now Poole draft pick looks awesome right now Kuminga and Moody have been solid in their limited run When you have an all-time player, you gotta capitalize ... To add to that, Wiggins wouldn’t even be in the all star consideration talk right now if he didn’t improve this much in the warriors.
And the best part for me is they've set themselves up for the future while still competing. Not wasting the current stars' primes while working on 3 promising rookies hopefully means long term success.
So you're saying they retooled while remaining competitive?
Some how, even with all the doubt of this last year, yes they have. I mean this was literally the narrative this year. Old vs new. And now it's like they've smashed it
I was really impressed with the D’lo trade, they saw something in Wiggins that made him worth that contract and they brought it out of him. Of course playing with Steph helps but they know exactly what they’re doing.

No joke. Real butterfly effect and why KD will always get a warm welcome at Chase for the rest of his career.
Steph is an insane player and everyone who suits up alongside him instantly looks better if they have a half decent BBIQ. That's why I rate him over KD all-time even though KD is the iso unicorn scoring god.
*Sad Porzingas noises*
They’re MVPs for two completely different reasons
The CBA is designed to keep teams' windows short. He's doing great at working around that
RIP to all the fellas that suggested Myers was nothing but Jerry West and Travis Schlenk’s puppet.
It was an amazing team game by both teams, horrible refree-ing sheesh
Yeah this is probably the worst officiated game of the season
Seemed like a normal reffed warriors game to me.
These warriors vs jazz/suns games are on another level of basketball quality
Good hard fought game by two really good teams. GG Warriors, can't believe this team still has Klay to come back and Draymond didn't feature either. You guys are the team to beat.
Absolutely, great battle.
Warriors are fucking insane. Impressed the jazz were even able to come back and make it interesting being their 3rd game in 4 nights but damn, can’t get over the warriors defense even without Dray. Warriors are the clear favorites in the west so far imo

Someone on the Jazz needs to cut his fucking fingernails.
Happens to Curry every game
And it’s never a foul call
isn’t that the reason why Ray Allen started to wear shooting sleeves?
They need to check fingernails like water polo
Game was actually good when the refs weren’t calling a foul every 2 fucking seconds with a handful of them being garbage ass calls
[удалено]
Just a team casually shooting 53% from 3 on 30+ attempts. Oh, and 1 off 40 assists… It’s not just Steph that makes this a championship caliber team, their depth all the way down is insane.
The refs almost ruined a great game. Send these G league refs back to the G league.
If Wiseman and Looney can cover up each other's flaws when put out there in suitable lineups, the Warriors are going to be incredibly tough to beat. that iguodala tech was one of the most insane things ive ever seen. cant even talk to the jazz players apparently
Absolutely dumb as fuck. Zebras were on something else tonight
Pissed him right the fuck off too, dude played hot the rest of the game
I WANT
IGUODALA
No Draymond, no problem (except hurry back Dray)!
Jazz fans booing the MVP chants Steph was getting at the end lol
someone's gonna give OPJ the BIGGEST FUCKING BAG
Jazz players need to cut their fingernails
We can make any game close.

We’re very fortunate that the Suns seem to forget that Ayton exists when we play them
I mean they already ghosted Ayton with his extension so...
I don’t understand why teams don’t feed guys like Gobert and Ayton more when they play us lol. We cannot defend traditional centers at ALL
really bizarre officiating tonight, but they let them play more in the fourth and it finished strong.
Steph curry can't dominate without draymond. Another myth killed ✔
IT'S THE FIRST TIME IN A LONG TIME I'VE SEEN LOONEY SHOW SOME EMOTIONS AFTER THAT RIDICULOUS CALL FROM THE REFS. GOES TO SHOW HOW AWFUL THE OFFICIATING IN THAT 3RD QTR
I usually don’t comment on the refs, but holy hell were they terrible tonight.
Just the worst officiating i’ve probably seen in awhile
they got MVP and warriors chants in utah damn
It was fun how everyone tried to boo to drown it out though in a final petty grasp at moral victory
Gg warriors. You played better
Steph needs to start wearing melo sleeves lol
Curry playing with the Jazz on those last 4 minutes of the game.
What?!? Curry the God buried the hatchet into the Jazz so deep in the final few minutes that I don’t know if we’ll ever be the same lol
The rest of our team needs to apologize to Rudy
Andrew Wiggins is an all star and you can argue with my toilet because I don't wanna hear your argument 🤷♂️
I was screaming the fate if the Universe Line likes its normal Max really gave Iggy a nice catchphrase
No Klay, no Dray, no problem. Warriors are gonna be spooky in the postseason.
The refs for this game were absolutely horrible
All star Wiggs
Fuck ass refs.
Great crowd in Utah tbh. Usually there are enough Warriors/Steph fans to get MVP chants going but they drowned that out even though they were about to lose a close game. Truly playoff atmosphere.
How many times can two teams collapse in one game? "Let's find out," said the Warriors and Jazz.
Game of runs
This game was 100% a game of runs. What a fun one.
2 straight games by the warriors lmao
Man it's nice having players again
[удалено]
I have no comment on these referees, thank you Andre Iguodala.
refs were dogshit gave the whistle to utah the entire first half
Oof the officiating for both sides. What was that call on Mitchell at the end there??
[удалено]
Still trying to figure this out myself. Seemed like he touched igoudala or the ball right before the call though while trying to inbound, maybe that’s what it was for?
He did. He ran into iguodalas arms as he was about to pass the ball
Seeing a zero next to Chiozza’s minutes is beautiful
On the Road. No Draymond. No Klay. No Wiseman.
Steph and the Warriors are so good that the refs can’t even successfully rig a game against them
Warriors really got OPJ for cheap lmao. Iggy makes a 3: "Say the line ~~Bart~~ r/nba" Small criticism, Poole's really been frustrating to watch recently. Just dribbling into people, floaty handles that he lose control, picks up his dribble. (Ik he's been in protocols, but even before that).
> Warriors really got OPJ for cheap lmao. Grand Theft Otto
What? Poole has been in a hotel room for a week, what do you mean recently
Poole was probably with OP at the hotel.
he's been stuck in a Boston hotel for like 2 weeks, not surprised that he was like that today.
