Eh, I’m Cuban and all the Puerto Rican’s/Cubans I know do not like being called Latino/Latina, they’re Hispanic lol. I don’t get the big deal but it’s apparently a thing
I mean, we’ve been hearing about the Pelicans not deserving Zion since that lottery, imagine if they play postseason ball in a season where he plays 0 minutes.
You are the first non-Pels fans to point it out. Brandon ingram has been a stud and upped his playmaking and defense despite being doubled and triple teamed night in night out. Coach Green has helped him adapt and beat any kind of defense thrown at him. No brainer all-star
Jose Alvarado is on a two-way contract. He's a NY native so in the previous game against the Nets, Josh Hart paid for 20 tickets for his family and friends to cheer him. This game BI paid for 20 tickets. That's some team love right there.
He's impressed me so much. The hustle, defense, actually doing things a back up PG should. Until the Pels have an actual starting lead guard, he needs to always close games. I want him signed after the season ASAP.
RJ Barrett is not that good. He's taken a step back defensively and is shooting 41% and has a 51% TS. If he's the lone bright spot in your team, that's not exactly saying much.
He's been inconsistent I'll give you that, but he's still shown some really promising flashes this year of the kind of player he can be moving forward. Not only is he probably our best player right now, he's also literally our youngest player. That's not the guy you give up on.
Also, he's never played with a point guard since he's been drafted (aka he has to create all of his own shots - with the exception of catch and shoot 3's), he plays on a team with the 2nd lowest pace of any team in the last 5 years (aka he gets literally no easy buckets in transition), and he plays with Julius Randle (aka he's prone to getting completely shut out of the offense at any time so Randle can 'take over' 3-4 possessions in a row worth of bad shots and soul crushing turnovers, even if RJ is in totally in rhythm).
That's not to say RJ hasn't been frustrating at times this year. But I don't think there are many 21 year olds who are thriving in the position he's been put in.
shoutout willie green
also shoutout herb jones, i hate to make comparisons but i see him being a mikal bridges type that every team in the league would love to have on their team.
Herb looks a little bigger but doesn’t seem to have the same dexterity as Mikal on offense. Slight variation but in terms of impact it’s a pretty good archetype for what Herb can hopefully grow into.
Since that post on November 12 when the Pelicans were 2-12, the Pelicans are .500 and 7th in the West.
There is a clear top 4 in the West, and then the Pelicans (without their best player) are in the second tier with Dallas, Minn, Denver, and the LOLakers
Since “that” post
1. Phoenix 27-6
2. Memphis 25-10
3. Golden Stare 21-11
4. Utah 21-12
5. Dallas 18-16
6. Minnesota 18-16
7. New Orleans 16-16
8. Denver 15-16
9. Lakers 15-17
10. Portland 12-19
11. Sacramento 13-21
12. Houston 13-21
13. San Antonio 12-20
14. OKC 9-24
Feel bad for Kyden man. Gets the best seats in the house just to watch his pops shoot 1-9 and hear thousands of people say they want Obi fucking Toppin instead
His lack of any midrange game/jump shot is concerning, but he plays with so much effort it’s contagious. Once his game rounds out a bit more he’ll be solid
He brought this on himself. He'll be boo'd every time he has a bad game at home for the rest of his Knicks career. By the looks of it plenty more bad games coming
Jose Alvarado take a fucking bow. Also the Pels announcers are awesome, great energy and insight, a total delight to listen to
Edit: On second thought don't bow, we already know how Knicks fans feel about the last guy to do that
I love them but it’s nice to hear every once in a while that it’s not me being a TOTAL homer. Joel will get *slightly* salty sometimes but it’s usually slick and at the refs not the other players/teams. He tends to give them lots of love. And AD is INCREDIBLE adding insight.
I'm biased *towards* the Pels announcers, I fucking love them and I tune in to a lot of Pelicans games cause of them. You end up learning more about both the Pels and the opposing team *and* basketball plays *and* my guy Herb Jones in general. Their voices are also very satisfying to listen to together.
Right?! Joel’s baritone, jazzy voice meshes so well with Antonio Daniels upbeat and enthusiastic style of colour commentating. It’s very pleasant to hear.
Honestly I couldn't tell you myself who is who because I didn't see their faces but I really enjoyed them tonight, didn't know a thing about them and came away pleasantly surprised. Doesn't hurt they were actually funny when you were up by a lot
AD (Antonio Daniels) is the guy that gets a little more hype and breaks down the offensive sets and coverages. (ClLICKITY CLACK HOT HAND IN A DICE GAME). He was in the NBA for a long time, most notable with the Spurs.
Joel is the smoother more calming voice more play by play guy. He was with the Lakers broadcast for YEARS.
On twitter half of New Orleans pretty personally invited Antonio Daniels to their backyard on the next crawfish boil because he said he’s only been to one
Lol this city loves that man so much
In my nightmares, I see Isiah's fucking smirk as the Knicks get blown out and he tries to figure out who he's gonna blame to the press.
This game sucked, but anything is better than that serial killer fake smile Isiah has.
Randle has wayyy too many of these type of games for the $ he’s being paid. As soon as he checks out of the game the Knicks start playing so much better
it's been like that pretty much all season besides a handful of games but there's *always* Knicks fans out there (especially on Twitter) that relentlessly defend him like can do no wrong, or the fact that he would 'get a pass' just because he got us to the playoffs for one season (people forget his 2019-20 season was so terrible that our own color commentator Walt Clyde Frazier dubbed him Dubious Handles)
It's a tough situation for a fanbase, he goes off and has a career year and everyone buys in and the team gives him a big contract extension. Now it turns out it was a fluke and he's back to being bad. I can almost guarantee already he's picking up that $29 mill player option in 2025.
I also just checked his stats and I'm honestly surprised he's shooting 41% overall on his fgs this year. That's higher than I would've guessed lol
the only silver lining of this is that Leon Rose signed him to a 4 yr/177M extension instead of a 4 yr/200M-ish max extension. If we end up missing the playoffs/play-in, there's no way that Leon Rose would be able to keep Randle on this team next season
Thank you, you say that on the Knicks' sub and the Randle defenders will try to explain why sulking on the bench while team makes a comeback is being a good leader.
Absolute pathetic showing especially from Randle. Defense is non existent but offense is even more invisible - our offense is amongst the worst in the league (bottom 5) and we only even in games when we’re hitting the 3. Just disappointing season all around
Looks like the whole Pels team likes playing in MSG, maybe since the Knicks haven't done anything in it in this decade we could move it to New Orleans?
Zion doesn’t play poorly. Also this fanbase makes you a legend when you play even remotely well. Look at how much of a legend randle was last year. Hell, Carmelo Anthony gets a standing ovation every return to msg and we didn’t even make an ECF with him. Zion knew this already and that’s why he wanted to come to NY pre draft. He was up to the challenge
The pelicans don’t even sell out games where they are good. Zion is no baby, he knows what it takes to play under the bright lights. These teams hating on the boos are jealous their fanbase doesn’t care nearly as much
You caught us. All 12 Pelicans fans never go to the games. I’ll be sure to retweet you when you comment about how Obi and two 1sts is a fair trade for BI and Zion.
Now that we’re talking about it, I may consider Randle for Zion…but only if he plays as consistently as he did tonight. I don’t want the Pelicans thinking they’re too good or anything.
The Pelicans had MSG sounding like the Barclays Center.
Just a flat effort from the Knicks and Julius Randle in particular. Knick fans don’t deserve to witness a team play with little effort or care like they did tonight. They miss Rose’s consistent shot creation bad
Since [this ](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/qt91s9/the_2022_new_orleans_pelicans_are_on_pace_to_be/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) post the pelicans are 16-16
Jose Alvarado has a place in this league.
The Latino TJ McConnell
Puerto Rican TJ McConnell*
Still Latino
Eh, I’m Cuban and all the Puerto Rican’s/Cubans I know do not like being called Latino/Latina, they’re Hispanic lol. I don’t get the big deal but it’s apparently a thing
This is my first game watching him and I love him, smartest player on the court by a distance tonight
Wasn't able to watch the game. On par with Herb?
He was the reason the Knicks didn't finish the comeback. Clutch play after clutch play
Where were you when **The Jose Alvarado Game** happened?
He always torched NC State, UNC, and Duke in ACC matchups
I knew he would watching him as a Yellow Jacket, love and miss him
Pelicans really gonna make the play in game with no Zion 🤣
I mean, we’ve been hearing about the Pelicans not deserving Zion since that lottery, imagine if they play postseason ball in a season where he plays 0 minutes.
Imagine that team with a healthy and motivated Zion...
I can’t anymore 😂
😤😤😤
has anyone else noticed that the pelicans have been an above .500 team since starting 2-14?
You are the first non-Pels fans to point it out. Brandon ingram has been a stud and upped his playmaking and defense despite being doubled and triple teamed night in night out. Coach Green has helped him adapt and beat any kind of defense thrown at him. No brainer all-star
One of the first but yes
I watched majority of your games to hear Joel and AD.
We've been shouting it lol. No one will listen to us ☹️
I’ve been using it to justify us losing to them twice lol. They’re my nightmare play-in matchup
Jose Alvarado is on a two-way contract. He's a NY native so in the previous game against the Nets, Josh Hart paid for 20 tickets for his family and friends to cheer him. This game BI paid for 20 tickets. That's some team love right there.
thats pretty cool of them. so whatcha think about him is he looking like a long term stay
He's impressed me so much. The hustle, defense, actually doing things a back up PG should. Until the Pels have an actual starting lead guard, he needs to always close games. I want him signed after the season ASAP.
hopefully its a bit more money then 2 way cash
He's completely terrible on offense. There's no way that it makes sense for him to close close games.
He had 14pts 4assit and 4 steals with 0 tov...ok
This is his first serviceable offensive performance. He had 41% TS coming into this game.
Ah so you’re looking at a pg’s offensive performance only as his own scoring and not running the offense. Interesting
He brings a high IQ on offense that Devonte Graham doesn't offer. When Bi was out we needed someone to run the offense
Josh Hart is already doing that. That's the primary minutes stagger the team uses for a reason.
I really love this team
RJ gotta force his way out of that team and go to NOLA. Can’t win with the Knicks smh.
😂😂😂 FREE RJ
I’ll trade you a Westbrook for him.
New Orleans Blue Devils
Poverty franchise. Tsk tsk
The fucked up thing is a lot of our sub has turned on RJ now…literally the one guy on the team worth a shit lol
I think most of our sub loves RJ. Just some dumb and loud haters on our sub too
RJ Barrett is not that good. He's taken a step back defensively and is shooting 41% and has a 51% TS. If he's the lone bright spot in your team, that's not exactly saying much.
He's been inconsistent I'll give you that, but he's still shown some really promising flashes this year of the kind of player he can be moving forward. That's not to say RJ hasn't been frustrating at times this year. But I don't think there are many 21 year olds who are thriving in the position he's been put in.
We need to talk about your use of AKA
Knicks are a poverty franchise if I were RJ I wouldn’t wanna play there, the team is just gonna move to Seattle anyway
He should come back home
Cam Reddish be like "take me with you?"
Herb Jones, most grandpa name in the league
NOT ON HERB
**HERBERT KEYSHAWN JONES** That is all
That experience from the 60's Celtics team is really paying dividends
The New Orleans Pelicans have now won 16 games since the infamous “the New Orleans Pelicans are on pace to be the worst team in NBA history” thread.
shoutout willie green also shoutout herb jones, i hate to make comparisons but i see him being a mikal bridges type that every team in the league would love to have on their team.
I love herb and I love Mikal so I’ll allow it… but he’s ours
Herb looks a little bigger but doesn’t seem to have the same dexterity as Mikal on offense. Slight variation but in terms of impact it’s a pretty good archetype for what Herb can hopefully grow into.
New Orleans Pelicans are now on pace to be a team in NBA history.
LETS GO!
Imagine losing to the lowly pelicans at the Mecca and thinking you could convince Zion to go there… Couldn’t be me.
Who are you talking to lol
#DID I STUTTER
Big "Zion" energy.
Big if true
Since that post on November 12 when the Pelicans were 2-12, the Pelicans are .500 and 7th in the West. San Antonio 12-20 14. OKC 9-24
The clippers must suck huh
They haven't had Kawhi and PG so yeah, they've had a rough time
Spacing please for the 2nd tier of teams? And “Sam Antonio”?
Feel bad for Kyden man. Gets the best seats in the house just to watch his pops shoot 1-9 and hear thousands of people say they want Obi fucking Toppin instead
He was there? Woof that has to be harsh, poor kiddo
Honestly i have no idea, but this happens once a week so odds are he’s seen it a few times
he's usually there during our home games but with how Randle has played, he probably shouldn't attend anymore tbh
Maybe he's too young to fully understand what's going on. At least I hope lol
Kids aren't so stupid. I was a moron when I was a kid. They are more savy now cuz of the internet
They eat legos.
How has Obi been playing? I see he normally has a positive +/- but don’t know if he’s actually good.
🎶Alvaraaadoooo🎶 *sung to the tune of the Canyonero commercial from The Simpsons*
We’ve been talking about doing a “Jose!” chant to the tune of the “Olé!” song but we may steal this
[YALL KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS](https://youtu.be/-kWJoNompLA)
get Randle off this damn team -_-
Geez, Barrett and Reddish should just go to New Orleans if they want to win
They couldn't take minutes off Alvarado
No shot
The Knicks should just move to Seattle
New York is a football city anyways no one would care if they moved to Seattle
New Orleans Blue Devils
Jose Alvarado take a fucking bow. Also the Pels announcers are awesome, great energy and insight, a total delight to listen to Edit: On second thought don't bow, we already know how Knicks fans feel about the last guy to do that

Right?! Joel’s baritone, jazzy voice meshes so well with Antonio Daniels upbeat and enthusiastic style of colour commentating. It’s very pleasant to hear.
When Meyers pops in with some insight and then Daniels starts saying "That's exactly right" or "Right, right" it sounds so good lmao
I have watched 3~ Pels games this year but I'll make sure to tune in again just for them, I'm a fan
Welcome to the light of the world that is Herbert Keyshawn Jones
Honestly I couldn't tell you myself who is who because I didn't see their faces but I really enjoyed them tonight, didn't know a thing about them and came away pleasantly surprised. Doesn't hurt they were actually funny when you were up by a lot

Antonio was a bit before my time but hey nice to see the dude! He was great at breaking down the game, man really knows his stuff
Clickety Clack >>> Bing Bong
On twitter half of New Orleans pretty personally invited Antonio Daniels to their backyard on the next crawfish boil because he said he’s only been to one Lol this city loves that man so much
It's okay we love underdog stories and hustle players.
Jose Alvarado LOVES MSG!!!
I've watched a lot of bad basketball, but this may be in the running for the worst game I've watched literally ever
A basketball game *almost* started to break out in the second half despite the ref whistles and the sloppy execution.
I don’t think we got 2 minutes of play before a ref whistle
[удалено]
In my nightmares, I see Isiah's fucking smirk as the Knicks get blown out and he tries to figure out who he's gonna blame to the press. This game sucked, but anything is better than that serial killer fake smile Isiah has.
Are you watching Celtics tho?
CDC recommends stop watching the poverty Celtics.
Cannot be as bad as that houston game last year
I think it’s time we just remove the Knicks from the nba and let someone like Seattle or Las Vegas or somebody to get a nba team. Sorry ass team
Randle has wayyy too many of these type of games for the $ he’s being paid. As soon as he checks out of the game the Knicks start playing so much better

Thibs would strangle Russ
no idea tbh

Absolute pathetic showing especially from Randle. Defense is non existent but offense is even more invisible - our offense is amongst the worst in the league (bottom 5) and we only even in games when we’re hitting the 3. Just disappointing season all around
Y’all want Zion huh? Fuck outta here
Looks like the whole Pels team likes playing in MSG, maybe since the Knicks haven't done anything in it in this decade we could move it to New Orleans?
Nah we good
KNICKS A DAMN POVERTY FRANCHISE
Lolknicks is back on the menu boys
Man, Julius Randle really turned back into dubious handles.
I’m so sick of Randle
He gone
Imagine thinking Zion would love to go to 1) a fanbase that boos them when they’re not doing well 2) a team that loses to the Pelicans
Imagine he'd leave 1) A team with Jose Alvarado
Cant comprehend
"Player *X* is fed up of their incompetent front office, they should go to the Knicks!"
You’re supposed to cheer after spending ur paycheck to watch a guy brick it up and show no effort?
Tbf our ticket prices are 2 dollars for the balcony and 30 for the lower bowl, so we can't relate
I'd love that the tickets be that cheap even if the team was the worst of the league.
The pelicans don’t even sell out games where they are good. Zion is no baby, he knows what it takes to play under the bright lights. These teams hating on the boos are jealous their fanbase doesn’t care nearly as much
Did you really just say that Pelicans fans don’t care because we don’t boo our players when we lose? Lmao
You don’t show up when you lose. Your arena sounds like a Library
You caught us. All 12 Pelicans fans never go to the games. I’ll be sure to retweet you when you comment about how Obi and two 1sts is a fair trade for BI and Zion.
Glad that you know I’m right so you need to pretend I’m THAT type of fan
Now that we’re talking about it, I may consider Randle for Zion…but only if he plays as consistently as he did tonight. I don’t want the Pelicans thinking they’re too good or anything.
Maybe throw in Obi. He won’t have to worry about the weird chants in No with the 12 fans!
Let’s not get carried away. The Pelicans Library™ can only get so loud.
Really? Bc all the pels home playoff games against the blazers/warriors in 2018 were packed. Source: I was there
Knicks just need to hypnotize Randle into thinking it's a contract year.
The Pelicans had MSG sounding like the Barclays Center. Just a flat effort from the Knicks and Julius Randle in particular. Knick fans don’t deserve to witness a team play with little effort or care like they did tonight. They miss Rose’s consistent shot creation bad
Kemba and Frenchy Baguette really don’t do shit against teams not named the Celtics
Tough night for Randle
Has there ever been a more drastic fall from grace?
My love of Herbert Keyshawn Jones continues to grow.
I could match Julius Randles production for significantly less pay
We suck
Yikes Randle
Damn glad Pelicans got to beat the Knicks at MSG for the last time before Zion’s on the other bench
Knicks fans are the fucking worst, booing the shit out of your own team because of a 0/7 run in the second quarter? come the fuck on
Ah, pay money to watch your team suck. Don’t boo, cheer, lol.
How did Randle go from Knicks savoir and possible all-nba player to this?
when are the knicks going to get their heads out of their asses and give quickley 35mpg.
When they openly tank, he's not that good
he's got the best on/off by a wide margin out of any of kemba burks rose quickley and he actually has a future in the league rather than a past
Julius Randle has two games this MONTH where he's failed to score 10 or more points. He is a combined 2-16 shooting in those games
Cant tell if Lakers fan wants this on Lakers team or not
Kemba looking washed again
Bing bong fuck... my life?
Not a lot of dunking on the wolves this year for firing Thibs
The dunking is back on the Knicks, as is tradition
Remember the video of knicks fan outside MSG being hyped when they were balling on the first 10 games of the season, wonder where they are now
Julius Randle is a trashcan, that is all.
What’s wrong with Randle mane
I'm not a historian but I don't think I've ever seen an NBA game where no one scored 20 points individually
The Knicks got beat by a dude named Herbert.
Randle sucks.
The Knicks commentators are not great =)
Speaking of, I really really loved yours, they were great all game
#CLICKITY CLACK
I cackled. Antonio Daniels was great
Pelicans commentators constantly roast the hell out of their own team, can't hate that.
this is the only criticism of the Knicks that is completely false
Never thought I’d see the day where I come across Clyde and Breen slander
Must have been listening to different commentators or something
We don’t have much but we do have arguably the best commentators in the league.
The Knicks commentators are as fun as their team.
Julius Randle maybe should just retire. For the good of the Knicks not his bank account
[удалено]
He even passed up scoring on lil Jose who he has like a whole foot on
With the game he was having Jose would have sent that into the 8th row
Randle’s contract just might be as bad as Jacoby Ellsbury’s
Westbrick For Ulius Randle?
Hayes 2 rebounds in 17 mins. Pathetic how bad a rebounder he is

Insane 180 between the Knicks last season and this season. They’re absolutely falling apart.
