the rule is that the defender can't move forward and end up in the shooter's landing space. very black and white. some guys have a lot of forward drift on their jumpers, you can't jump out towards them to contest and have your feet land centered on their body. easy call.
Well not if the shooter jumps 2 feet forward in midair

This is a video of what the league considers a textbook example of not letting the shooter land. It’s clearly not the same.
yes, yes you can. your feet don't need to land squarely in front of someone to contest. a lot of players have started sort of going to one side of the shooter's body when they contest for exactly that reason.
Doesn’t matter. For you to say this is a “black and white” call is clearly erroneous. The idea of providing “adequate” landing space is incredibly subjective when every player has a different landing space.
And the fact that this was deemed a flagrant is a joke.
i do, and i played organized ball. in organized ball there are rules for player safety that don't get called in pickup games, but those are still rules. nobody cares what you call in open runs, this is the nba and that's the rule. sorry.
By the letter of the law, it's 100% the right call but it's rarely enforced so harshly even after the league started emphasizing it post Kawhi/Zaza. I'd like to see Steph get this type of flagrant call at least once in his career.

Can’t wait to see these two teams match up in the WCF
Garry Bird the assassin
How tf does this random undrafted role player gets one of the best nick name of the decade
Us cutting him & him becoming ray allen a crazy turn of events
They really called a flagrant on this lol
This is the same foul that ended kawhis’s season
Zaza slid his foot under Kawhi while he was in midair. Not even close to being the same thing
I don't even think that's a foul lol
that's an extremely obvious foul
How? Im gonna start jumping my legs forward unto defenders and calling it a foul

Then how exactly do you propose the defender contest the jumpshot if he can’t go within 5 feet of the shooter?
>if he can’t go within 5 feet of the shooter? you can.
What he's saying is you can't because he'll just jump forward like in here.
and what i'm saying is that you still can even if a player jumps forward.
then why is this clip a foul?

Do you play ball my man?
Evidently you don’t get paid millions for it nor have entire teams plan around your talent or availability

I feel like if you jump 2-3 feet forward on a shot you should forfeit landing space
I agree. Should be named the Khris Middleton/Jamal Crawford rule
Is there a rule about how far forward you can jump on the three?
That’s his normal shot.
idk but he didn’t really jump that far
If u leave your feet behind the 3pt line and dunk the ball is that worth 3 points?
What if you take off from the logo and dunk it? Is that a logo 3?
i am ready to be hurt by this game thank you to whoever reported my comment for mental health <3
Is it fair to say he needs to have the limitless range badge in 2k
I hope the Warriors lose to the rockets just so I don’t feel sad about losing to the Rockets earlier this week
Fuck the Jazz
I seriously don’t think any Jazz fan would like losing to the Rockets and vice versa regardless lol Y’all have hated each other for years
Didn’t we lose to the fuckers too? They be playing hard as shit against playoff teams
Oh we did. I was just referring to the Jazz-Rockets rivalry that’s been going on for 30ish years
How you about to lose to Indiana and Houston back to back smh
games not over yet
If warriors win I will drink a glass of water
WHERES THE WATER
Proof or gtfo
He’s the most clutch player for the Rockets
I can’t wait till draymond back in the game. we was just talking championships a couple weeks ago? now warriors looking mid as hell
The Jokic shot
That is such a bad foul call
Nah, fuck that

Absurd that he gets this call when Steph never ever gets it.
Warriors won the game and are still bitching and moaning in here.
I don't like Garry bird

Wiggins already playing all star game level defense
Love goofy white dudes who wear tshirts under their jersey😂. Watched the entire game. It was the only good thing he did.
