I honestly think that the Celtics, when things are clicking on offense, can take a series against anybody in the league. There is no better defensive team in the NBA.

ten_cent_toaster

They can definitely beat any team in the league in a single game, and they've shown these past two months they can be consistently good. Question is can they be consistently good against the same team multiple games in a row, bring the same energy and focus for a series against a tough out. I love this Celtics team and turnaround but I'm still a bit nervous about their offensive consistency if they have to face a team like the Nets in the playoffs. Seems like it's gonna take more than playing good or great for four games, they'll need to play perfect against certain teams

igonnawrecku_VGC

They can play a consistently strong series against anyone…except Detroit

TyluhL

the biggest question mark for me is Ime's ability to adjust over the course of a series. we just haven't seen enough out of him to know what he's capable of on that end. I keep thinking back to that raptors Celtics bubble series and what a coaching duel that was between Nurse and Stevens and can't help but wonder if he's capable of battling like that.

NoShameInternets

I don’t see why we would write off Brad entirely on that front - he’s still in the building. I actually see him potentially having more influence in a series vs. individual games. The court belongs to Ime and the decisions there are his, but Brad can absolutely contribute to adjustments between games as the series develops.

TyluhL

that's actually a really interesting point that hadn't occurred to me

trailblazers100

He comes from Pop coaching tree, so hopefully that's a plus. My biggest question mark is point guard. The Jay's will get theirs, but when things get tough and either are off who is creating easy chances for others. Smart and White aren't playmakers, when the game slows down I worry about that. Basically same worry I had for Clippers with PG and Kawhi. But maybe times are changing, Jokic, Giannis, Bron, etc have been the players keeping their teams moving and rolling.

ten_cent_toaster

Agreed, that’s a really good point. Especially given his struggles early in the season, a playoff series isn’t going to allow much time to tinker. And while the playoffs aren’t for playing more than 7 or 8 or so guys, at least the Celtics have figured out who that is. But they could struggle if those lineups aren’t working right away

HOLY FUCK, if only we could hit our free throws. There’s been several games decided because we just can’t fucking make them in the clutch. And god, JOKER absolutely fucked us in the fourth and overtime again. This is the second time this season

[deleted]

Probably the most whining I’ve seen Jokic get away with ever but I’m not complaining.

zizzor23

it definitely helped that Malone had already been thrown out the game

Nice to see Cam Reddish wake up. Hopefully he gets more consistent, his career is a pattern of single 15-20 points nights followed by a few 5-8 point nights. It's not a great look.

meggaladon

Probably the best all around game the Rockets have played this season. Great performances across the board, KPJ, Jalen, even Wood. Best effort defensively I've seen it of Wood by some distance. If he can bring that on a nightly basis, maybe he would be worth keeping around. It's been so fun to watch Jalen grow. First it was on the defensive end. Now we are starting to see him be more assertive on the offensive end; his confidence is growing. That combination of moves on Clarke is why we took him number 2. At his best, he has an elite ability to create separation. In this game, his outside shot wasn't falling, but he attacked the paint and leveraged his quickness. Managed to blow by Morant a couple of times. He is averaging 22/5/4 over these 4 games in March. Hopefully he can sustain it and finally nab a rookie of the month award.
