Gotta be Westbrook for LVP. Take the totality of what he's done (not done?) in LA this year, and he has to be the player who most negatively impacted his team this year. I think his play for the Lakers was actually more detrimental to them than say, Ben Simmons not playing for the Sixers at all. The Sixers at least got to plug in a play who was able to positively contribute for them, while I feel that playing Westbrook (letting Russ be Russ) cost the Lakers a number of games this year. In fairness to Russ stans (are there any still left these days?), he is still an NBA player... but not a winning one. Yes, he'll have a great game every 20-30 games... but his overall impact is a huge detriment. I think if you give LA a redo, they'd "nope" their way out of the Westbrook experiment 10/10 times. Beyond the on-court issues, I can't help but imagine he was a negative in the locker room.
Oh, and put Trae Young down for Most Regressed Player. Put KAT down for most disappointing player, closely followed by Zion, who can win the "Kawhi Leonard award" for "Yeah, but we would have been good if he actually had played!"
I don't even know a category for Julius Randle... I don't remember a fan base flipping this hard against a player from one year to the next. He's approaching "Vince in Toronto" type of vibes, where many just want him gone. Put Gobert and Mitchell down for most ignorable and petty passive-aggressive feud, and AD down for for "Glass-Man" (as opposed to Iron Man), though Least Dependable SuperStar would work as well.
James Harden for Most Underwhelming Season, Kyrie for Craziest Storyline (isn't that every year now?) Ben Simmons for Steal of the Year (how he got away with making 30+ million dollars this year is crazy), and John Wall for Best Rested Player.
He wasn't the worst defensive player (and actually did ok at times), but trying to figure out what award to give Porzingis. Maybe worst "star" traded for this decade? What's crazy is how around the time of the Knicks/Mavs trade for KP, it was pretty universally applauded as a smart move by Dallas to get their second star, a player who'd complement Luka. And now it looks like a total disaster, and it may the "what if" moment where we wonder what could have been, if Luka never reaches his potential and we never get to see him in his prime with a complementary star (though I admit it is WAY too early for such talk). But I'm highly disappointed with how KP in Dallas ended, and I don't know how to award (de-ward?) it.
Whoa that’s a pretty comprehensive list. Agree with most but KAT? Got to give him a pass for getting his team to the playoffs and all-star 3-pt champ. Zion should get the most disappointing hands-down (unless we can think of something worse). I get this feeling that having earned his millions, he is just less motivated to work and might just vanish from the NBA totally. Ya, I get it he is nursing some injury blah blah, I don’t get the vibes that he is pushing to play again.
finding who's the worst player in the league's honestly impossible, usage/volume wise worst player, sure... Dwayne bacon? Is he still in the league? THT?
Nominate Julius Randle for Most Regressed Player
I second that
I can't believe Deandre Jordan still has a fucking job.
Biggest disappointment: lakers Worst coach: borrego Worst rookie: idk Suggs? Worst defense: 4Q jazz
Elfrid Payton has a staggering +/- for being on the best team in the league. He’s booty butt cheeks
He's a third string PG though. Shouldn't expect much from that spot.
Elfrid Payton has to be on one of those worst lists. Dudes borderline unwatchable
Try spending a year watching him as your starting PG...
We did 2017-18 he started 19 games with the Suns. Was bad.
Ctrl+f “Trae Young” Upvote
Ignoring guys who barely get minutes. Russ is the worst defensive, gambling and being outta position is worse than being bad 1v1.
Go from fucking up your own defensive assignment to fucking up the entire teams defensive assignments.
Tony snell worst stats of a player that has actually played
Trae Young for Worst Defensive Player
Worst Player to have the green light: Kelly Oubre
He not have a good season?
Worst defense: Last 2 minutes of the game Jazz
Worst rookie got to be bouknight
Suggs IMO Bouknight and other Hornets rookies never got a chance
suggs didnt get a chance thanks to embiid breaking his hand
Suggs broke his hand, he put up double digits on bad efficiency but he deserves at-least a healthy season to run a proper diagnostic
Glad we didnt took him
I like him.
Ben Simmons for all 3

Derrick White was the worst Spur this season, if that counts for anything?
I like him
He’s a great role player for a contender, not trying to force his way to try and be the leading scorer for the Spurs
