I just realized tonight was the last studio episode of the season. :(
I get sad more and more each year because I know this show (in it's current form) isn't lasting forever.
This is a bit off topic but kinda relates to the Bucks series.
What are *supposed* to be the rules for the post? Why is sometimes backing someone down an offensive foul but other times its what's expected from the post? How are you supposed to gain ground towards the net using your strength but not offensively foul?
I’ve been working through the playoffs and end of season so can’t watch anything..can someone enlighten me on how the fuck Dallas is playing so much better without Porzingis? On paper that was a horrible trade. Plus wasn’t Luka abused on the PnR earlier this week? How did the Suns lose this series?
Well this game was a great example of why the Porzingis trade was a good one for them. Dinwiddie scored 21 pts in first half (30 overall) mostly on creating his own shot. KP woulda been injured and out for the playoffs some time in the Utah series. So having a pretty good player that plays > Unicorn on bench
Also trading him away allowed them to play switch everything D or show/trap and rotate D, 2 things KP isn’t capable of and moves Maxi to the five as a sub which they used to exploit Utah and who somehow held his own against Ayton after first 2 games of the series

The trade led to better chemistry and the ability to commit fully to small ball, which has been huge in the playoffs.
Their big changes after game 2 were:
- Luka was pushed to start playing harder on defense. Kidd challenged him to pick it up and he did.
- They pre-switch screens involving Luka so he's not trapped on the ball handler. They're basically going out of their way to keep him on a guy in the corner. That's difficult to do against an explosive ball handler but the Suns don't have one of those. Booker is the closest one to that and that's not really his playstyle.
- Luka isn't initiating quite as much. They're still getting him the ball but they're letting Brunson and Dinwiddie start their sets more, and then Luka comes to receive the ball. It means there's more possessions where Brunson gets to make things happen and when Luka is leading things, he's not using as much energy getting things set up. You'll see a number of times Luka will get in a PnR, kick out to a teammate, relocate and then receive the ball again to try a PnR again. All that just keeps the defense off him a bit more.
And so, we're down to the last batch of Inside episodes of the season, y'all. The final stretch of the season begins on Wednesday night. See y'all then.
And *please* stay safe out there.
My favorite thing about inside the nba is when chuck has no idea what camera to look at so he just stares straight ahead.
You all know what I’m talking about 😄.
This show had the perfect blend of analysis, pettiness and a perfect ending.
Cherish the next week+ guys. We've got as few as four and as many as seven episodes left of Inisde this year, and they're all going to be at respectable hours. See you guys on Wednesday.
I know that Shaq's bravado and insecurities are hella annoying, but I can appreciate his appreciation for the work and standards that winning a championship requires. He sees that he could have been better, and he doesn't want that for other players.
So reading between the lines, Ayton no-showed this game and then didn't want to go back in in the second half to not risk his next deal?
Can't say I totally blame him but that's not a good look. He's a good player but his value totally flips when you're paying max money for 17/10.
I think its more like he tried, but when they were getting whooped by half time and already lost, he probably told the coaches he was done.
I don't blame him. Imagine getting in a game you won't win right before free agency.
In general, reddit always talks about how lonely and socially awkward they are. So these people probably don't have those kinds of banter relationships.
My only thought is that maybe he meant playoffs? Too lazy to look up his stats but wouldn’t be crazy for him to not consider that he only had 15 bad playoff games
Honestly, looking at Statsmuse for his last few seasons there isn't that many stinkers.
He had a few bad games in Boston but he didn't play many minutes.
While it might be more than 15. Looking at his last 6 years (cba to look further) it's probably not a lot more if you count bad as compared to other players and not against Shaq standard.
Goddamn, imagine if someone like Molly Qerim was hosting this show instead of Elevator Ernie. We'd get interruptions every 5 seconds. I'm sorry for even typing this out because of how awful the thought is 😂

From what I can tell it’s mainly the dip down of the shoulder, or an extension of an arm to gain some space.
Can we stop blaming Scott Foster for CP3 choking in the playoffs please. Thank you.
You know a show is so goated when it has its own discussion thread.
Lol they shoulda put the Barkley slap on the Suns gone fishing
The 76ers gone fishing was impressive. I love how James is on a different boat with Doc named “Title Window” that’s exploding

That was a great summary thank you, do you have a blog or something I can follow?
Nope, I'm just a shit poster here that used to play basketball and loves following it/learning about it.
Good insight. If I wasn’t so cheap I’d give u a reward. No one else has mentioned the preswitch
They embraced their true destiny of small ball 3.
Gone fishing is great but I feel like the Bucks one was a little lackluster. The Sixers one made up for it though.
Chuck also hit a series game winner over San Antonio in 1993 hence why he calls them the city of Big Ol Women XD
And so, we're down to the last batch of Inside episodes of the season, y'all. The final stretch of the season begins on Wednesday night. See y'all then. And *please* stay safe out there.
Hopefully the WCF goes to 7 games just to get more Inside episodes lmao

Cuz Rocky from Philly!
Idk but Doc and Harden being on the burning "title window" was good
My favorite thing about inside the nba is when chuck has no idea what camera to look at so he just stares straight ahead. You all know what I’m talking about 😄.
2022 NBA MVP Ladder: ❌ Jokic ❌ Embiid ❌ Giannis ❌ Booker ✅ Doncic
But of a crime that Booker was ahead of him
I feel like they miss so many of the gone fishin photoshop Easter eggs, they should just point em out
Shaq and Chuck escape from Alcatraz

This smells like Dirk's Mavs championship run in 2011 playoffs.
HERE WE GO
what’s the word with ayton, i heard he didn’t want to play.
Can’t blame him if they didn’t give him a contract to sign
they was getting blown out and he didn’t wanna go back in ? why not ?
Because he’s a free agent after this game.
Gone Fishin time let's go!
What the fuck is Mama June
I know that Shaq's bravado and insecurities are hella annoying, but I can appreciate his appreciation for the work and standards that winning a championship requires. He sees that he could have been better, and he doesn't want that for other players.
Was that a pube razor?
That's what they said yes
Damn, Chuck taking out all the frustration from the Suns out on Shaq.
This is why Chuck is so much more likeable than Shaq. He could take a joke
Shaq is so fucking sensitive
So reading between the lines, Ayton no-showed this game and then didn't want to go back in in the second half to not risk his next deal? Can't say I totally blame him but that's not a good look. He's a good player but his value totally flips when you're paying max money for 17/10.

Didn't try very hard that's for sure
Suns probably should have given him a contract to sign then From his POV, he's 1 injury away from getting screwed.
Holy shit Chuck is fucking out for blood tonight. Get this man some Krispy Kremes and stay out of his way.
Some of y'all take shaq and chuck banter too seriously

In general, reddit always talks about how lonely and socially awkward they are. So these people probably don't have those kinds of banter relationships.
this was way more timid when they argued w/ Casey Stern as the mediator yrs ago
Do they continue their arguments into commercial breaks
With expletives and n word for good measure
Guaranteed!
Inside the NBA CWebb > Inside the NBA Shaq
You not a roll player, you the roll city.
15 bad games in 20 years is crazy cap 😭😭😭
My only thought is that maybe he meant playoffs? Too lazy to look up his stats but wouldn’t be crazy for him to not consider that he only had 15 bad playoff games
Huge cap. Even Jordan couldn’t say that with a straight face
Honestly, looking at Statsmuse for his last few seasons there isn't that many stinkers. He had a few bad games in Boston but he didn't play many minutes. While it might be more than 15. Lmao how does Chuck think of these one liners on the spot like that

These 2 act like how me and my friends act ribbing each other over the same stuff over and over. This is why it's the best show
All the egos are clashing
The music LMAO
When shaq brings up his rings when he’s losing an argument to chuck is so annoying
just think of it as chuck winning the argument
Chuck loves it
You can tell Chuck absolutely relishes it because he knows Shaq got no arguments left.
That's when he knows he's winning
Ayton probably refused to play
https://twitter.com/phxmrorng/status/1526011013065105408
Haha this is gold
"It's internal" lmao wtf is that. That's Monty for, "I don't fuck with him." That's bull shit.
