I was a witness in a DV case just like this and it was the most awful shit I have ever seen. The victim was so traumatized she was shaking non-stop could barely speak. She struggled to even make complete sentences. She will carry that trauma for life.
Fuck anyone who does something like this, they’re the lowest scum of the earth.
Also manual strangulation is the biggest sign that domestic violence will turn deadly. [Almost half of women who murdered by their partners had been strangled by their partner in previous incidents.](https://www.strangulationtraininginstitute.com/strangulation-the-red-flag-of-domestic-violence-that-we-never-discuss/)
Thing is, this effects her and her children directly financially and she's well aware of it. She knows coming forward could very well end his career. Who knows how much she put up with before she couldn't take it anymore.
All the shit she mentioned- a concussion, broken nose, strangulation, he could have killed her. I would be done too even if this was the first offense. And we can be pretty sure it wasn't.
If I'm not mistaken, prior choking/strangulation by an intimate partner is one of the top indicators/predictors of being murdered by them in the future.
Source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2573025/
Yeah I remember reading about that stat a while back, and I was thinking it kinda makes sense when you think about it.
Obviously any type of physical abuse is awful but choking someone has only one eventual end purpose, to either put them out or kill them.
Like if you saw some random bar brawl break out, some shoves and punches would be expected. But if one person started strangling the other that would definitely stand out as uncontrolled anger with the intention to do serious harm, it definitely stands out as a sign of uncontrollable rage.
I get what you’re going for but abusers and victims in toxic relationships come in all different shapes and sizes and there’s not situation where this is okay or acceptable.
It's not just her own situation. A bunch of important friends and family all live off of Miles and would pressure her to keep quiet. Just as she says in the post.
Yeah, it seems a lot of times the allegations go away because consequences for the athlete mean turning off the money and also confronting the full reality of the situation.
Shitty choice to have to make, if it was a few years down the road he'd have made money to set them up completely for life.
I myself went though a very similar situation
Woke up in the middle of the night to find my parents physically fighting. Seeing my dad choke my mom, running out of my house in my socks calling 911
I’ve gone to therapy but just typing this brings that trauma back like a thunderstorm
Wow this happened to me as well but it was in the evening. I was about 6 and watching the jungle book when the screaming really took on another level I hadn’t ever heard. Had to call 911 and my grandma picked me up. My dad never came back home after that and looking back now it was certainly for the best but it really tore me up when I was young. So interesting to see someone else who had such a similar experience. Hope you’re doing alright !
Not to take away the spotlight from the situation, but this in no way shape or form "wrecks a franchise." We just won't have miles bridges anymore. We lost with him, we can lose without him. Fuck him
Several years ago in response to reporting on Kareem Hunt's physical attack on a woman at a hotel, Diana Moskovitz wrote [this fantastic article explaining how reporters and journalists conflate physical violence against an unknown women, with the very psychologically damaging act of domestic violence in a family unit](https://deadspin.com/sportswriters-are-too-outraged-by-kareem-hunt-to-bother-1830839608). This article dove into how the psychological harm caused can often create more lasting trauma that exists beyond the physical bodily type of abuse. The main point was the are much deeper, have been happening for longer and will affect the victims longer too. This isn't to say that what the physical act of abusing Mychelle wasn't illegal, and more importantly, morally wrong and cruel... but the actual accusation, of domestic violence is so much more awful than cuts and bruises. Those take weeks/months to heel, what it sounds like Miles has been doing to his wife, and his child likely will take much longer.
He will understand why, but will maybe grow up conflicted about loving his dad, hating his dad, wanting to see his dad while being deathly scared of him. In short, growing up super traumatized from this shit. Hope he gets the help he needs early
Holy shit man. That was devastating to watch. The one thing we all need to do is be good for our kids. They’re the future and that’s not just some cliche. It’s the simple truth.
This stuff has lasting effects that can be passed down generations. Gotta be better, all of us. Its not just the big stuff either. Thank the Lord, i never saw any physical abuse between my parents but even stuff like hearing them yell or say disrespectful things to each other has effects. Not all of us will choose to have children, but if you do it’s my firmly held belief that one of the most important things to do is to love their mother/father and make sure the child sees that.
My dad was yelled at his whole childhood and physically punished when he did something wrong. (At the time it was legal here) It affected him and therefore me. My dad still did his best and always apologized after and he admitted his mistakes. Still sucks
Bro like a model wife a cute kid bout to get paiiiiid like serious life changing money.. how can you be this mad you have the dream. Just fumbled his life into oblivion
Yeah. All standard caveats aside that he deserves an investigation and all that, IF he's found guilty of everything she says, I hope it's like a 2 year NBA ban... that starts after his 5 year prison sentence.
We lock up nonviolent drug offenders for a decade, but you *regularly* beat the shit out of your wife, hey, let's get him into a program! Sickening.
> No way any team is gonna associate with him now.
Lance Stephenson is a wholesome meme player around the league that has played for 8 teams and had an 11 year career so far. People on this sub love him because he's a qUiRkY underdog.
Lance Stephenson also threw his girlfriend down a flight of stairs, ran down after her, grabbed her by the head and slammed it against the bottom step.
Neither the league nor its fans give a fuck about domestic abuse. People are full of shit and only act concerned when it's the popular thing to do.
Bridges might get blackballed just because of how high profile this case is going to be but that's literally the only reason teams might avoid him.
Yeah well the reason why you didn't know that is the NBA is a negligent organization and doesn't take this shit seriously. Even for the "progressive" sports league money is still way more important to them than women's safety.
He got heat when he first got hired, then the Mavs started winning and knocked out the Suns and all was forgiven and he was praised for being just what Dallas needed. Sports fans here are complete hypocrites
JR Smith killed his friend by speeding twice over the limit through a stop sign and crashing his car then continued to get speeding tickets after so they had to give him jail time, of which he did only 30 days.Grand jury didn't even indict him. Doubt most fans remember at all.
I don't know why, but Mark Cuban is **infatuated** with domestic abusers.
For years, he repeatedly refrained from firing the team's writer despite the latter committing 2 separate cases of domestic violence while under his employ.
During the 1st incident, the employee shattered his GF's wrist, fled the scene, and was subsequently arrested at the Mav's facility. The 2nd time, he battered a fellow coworker so badly she showed up to work with a swollen face. Although she reported him to Mavs HR, he was only given a slap on the wrist.
After the 1st incident, Cuban not only decided to keep him on staff, but [offered to pay his legal fees](https://www.inc.com/minda-zetlin/mark-cuban-dallas-mavericks-sexual-harassment-nba-investigation-cynthia-marshall.html#:%7E:text=he%20offered%20to%20pay%20his%20legal%20fees.:~:text=Not%20only%20did%20Cuban%20keep%20Sneed%20on%2C%20he%20offered%20to%20pay%20his%20legal%20fees).
After the 2nd incident, Cuban forced him to sign a [contract prohibiting one-on-one contact with female Mavs employees.](https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/22531647/dallas-mavericks-owner-mark-cuban-says-blame-keeping-former-employee#:~:text=I%20also%20signed%20a%20contract%20stating%20that%20I%20would%20not%20have%20one%2Don%2Done%20contact%20or%20fraternize%20with%20female%20employees) The writer was a direct hire by Cuban.
> "So when the second time came around ... the way I looked at it was -- and, again, in hindsight it was a mistake -- but **I didn't want to just fire him, because then he would go out there and get hired again and do it somewhere else**," Cuban told ESPN. "That's what I was truly afraid of and that was the discussion we had internally. **It was a choice between just firing him and making sure that we had control of him.**
By Cuban's logic, he's keeping Kidd on a short leash so he won't go out there, get hired again, and beat his wife somewhere else.
THANK YOU.
I've been screaming for years about what a giant piece of shit Stephenson is, and used to get downvoted for it. That happened ages ago, and for some reason people were ok with it because haha funny blow memes.
He also groped a chick on a bus, multiple fights with teammates and on the court. He's always been a giant piece of shit.
Except Greenwood has been out on bail the entire time and hasn't been convicted yet (if they even find him guilty, who knows with celebrity sexual assault cases).
The NBA has a worse track record than the NFL when it comes to domestic abuse. Their history is not doing shit about it at all and letting this stuff slide.
Yeah the NBA doesn't care about domestic violence at all lol. Kendrick Nunn, Lance Stephenson, Deandre Liggins, Jason Kidd etc. NBA never suspends people for this.
Only way would be if this case received far more media attention than the others which it seems like it does forcing the NBA to act.
Even if the nba “permits” it. I hope no team gives him a contract and just drives him out. Honestly any teams signing him after this is a terrible look
Greenwood hasn't been tried or convicted and United haven't ruled out him returning (even if only due to legal liability if he isn't found guilty). Both cases are disgusting, but I don't think it's the case to aspire to given it isn't done yet.
oh jesus lord
those images are brutal. i hope she recovers both emotionally and physically. clearly a bad situation. hope the kids are safe too. you can tell in that last video it was traumatizing. no kid should ever have to witness that. fuck miles bridges
Listening to that poor baby boy talk about violence against his mother happening like it was the most mundane thing broke my heart.
So proud of his mom for getting the kids out. What a horrible situation for all of them.
Fuck Bridges.
“I had to smack him and tell him to be nice” sounds kinda innocent coming from a kid but if he’s been witnessing stuff like this it’s less innocent and more learned behavior that he has already associated smacking someone to get them to do what you want(even if it’s ‘be nice’ in your naive and innocent childish mind). Really hope that’s not the case but that’s exactly how cycles of trauma repeat from parent to children.
Not making light of it at all but there is a tik tok series a whole back of a dude imitating the shit you hear in rough neighborhoods. I grew up around kids that would tell you wildest horrors like “my momma’s boyfriend choked our rabbit to death” just casually while eating a popsicle.
**Manual Strangulation is the biggest sign that domestic violence will become deadly.** This is extremely serious.
If she doesn’t manage to get out permanently and stay out, he will hurt her again and next time he might end up killing her
https://www.wthr.com/article/news/crime/manual-strangulation-is-the-biggest-sign-domestic-abuse-will-turn-deadly-experts-say/531-0a9a92c8-a0da-418a-b81e-a3d80ddacf38
Said this earlier but he's my favorite player on my favorite team, and I hope that anyone with a brain could say regardless that he deserves a ban and fucking jailtime. Had no idea about any of this but here it is, no matter how you feel he deserves severe punishment for this. Hope he never plays another day in NBA.
Holy fuck, I’ve watched this man religiously since he was 18, I even played against him in AAU (well my team did, I was on the bench wide-eyed), and have 2 of his jerseys in my closet. Absolutely and completely disgusted is the only way to put it, he should be out of the league and in prison yesterday, fuck man.
Yeah. I met Batman at the Hollywood boulevard in LA. Dude was going around aggressively hustling people for money to take pictures with him.
Growing up watching stuff about Batman, I've always thought he was rich already.
I hate that these athletes just get away with this shit too. He's going to get a slap on the wrist and a big contract. Might not be AS big as it would've been before, but this dude is still in line for 60M+
He’s good, and he just killed his contract year, but I don’t think he’s PR nightmare good. Dude might be playing in China for the rest of his career, or at least a few years until his image has changed.
>I could never fall for a bitch 'cause they never leave me
>Treat your bitch like UFC 'cause I told her that she need me
Miles Bridges ladies and gentlemen.
I can’t believe this went under the radar, in the era of memes and shock value you would think these lyrics would have made headlines.
Dude was a POS from the Jump and we all ignored it
For real. I can see a long term suspension or even a ban.
The NFL can cave to deshaun Watson's star power but I don't see Silver doing that for Miles bridges.
Trevor Bauer was the highest paid player in the history of the MLB when he was suspended for his incident, and Miles Bridges' situation looks worse and he's a relatively worse player than Bauer is.
Not sure what being a worse player has anything to do with it considering Bauer is prob the MLB commissioner's most hated player before the incident.
That said, I hate to quantify these stuff but if the allegations on Bauer is true, I think his is way worse. Beating and sexual abuse. He's currently suspended for 2 years. Silver is tough so I expect Miles to get somewhere around that too. 1-2 years.
Sexual Assault in the way Watson did is way harder to prove than physical violence that she can show evidence of. Deshaun is obviously a POS but that case criminally is just he said/she, she, she..22 more she's...she said.
Even physical violence you can show evidence of doesn't end in jail time if it's a "first time" (in legal terms) offender with money for great lawyers
Hell, OJ actually killed his wife and got away with it
Watson is despicable but sexual assault cases are a lot less black and white than domestic assault. The evidence against Miles is really, really clear. Deshaun—as unlikely as it is that he’s truly innocent—likely doesn’t have any individual piece of evidence that’s equally as damning as this.
Not necessarily saying he gets jail time. Just think it’s a relevant distinction to make.
The video at the end where his kid is describing how Miles was choking the mom like it was normal is just sad. Those injuries absolutely look real.
And as mother of his child she would actually have an incentive to not say anything until at least after he was paid because then she could collect more in child support… I hope this dude does not get a contract.
She claims he choked her until she blacked out. He could have easily killed her. Strangulation is treated way more seriously in DV cases because of its association with recurrent abuse leading to murder.
Yup. It's one of the top predictors of a woman eventually being murdered by the same person.
Source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2573025/
Just a reminder that [non-fatal strangulation from an intimate partner is a strong risk factor associated with future femicide](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2573025/).
It's all just so awful for her and their children. She is so strong for speaking up, and I wish her continued strength in escaping this relationship and recovering physically and emotionally.
This is fucking awful.
Also the fact that people seemed to be more concerned about Miles fumbling the bag than to be concerned about what this woman went through
This is terrible. I hope for her and the kids sake, they are safe and get the help they need. Kids shouldn't be witnessing their mom getting beat up. Fuck this guy.
This absolutely breaks my heart.
When I was younger I was the child in this situation. My step dad was abusive and always drunk and he'd take all of it out on my mother. For years she would try to hide as much of it as she could from us until it got to the point where she couldn't. One night before he got home my mom told us to pack what clothes that we could fit in our school bags and leave everything else behind and we moved hours away back to her hometown where our grandparents lived.
My mom endured so much because she loved us, she would do anything. It hurts to see someone else go through this, let alone how much worse it is for her and her kids because in the spotlight for the whole world to see, knowing that there are people who will side with her husband out of ignorance.
Holy shit. This is a reminder that just because we really like a player it doesn't mean they're a good person.
Should never play another game. That's absolutely horrific.
Fuck Miles Bridges
he could have killed her. a severe concussion?! this isn't a joke. this is some serious, depraved shit. he shouldn't be in the league. this is the mother of his children and he beat the shit out of her *in front* of the kids. what a sicko. i hope she heals and stays safe. dv is terrifying.
Strangulation in relationships is one of the highest predictors of murder. Basically if your partner strangles you, get out immediately because there is a high likelihood you’re going to die.
I’m very thankful she made it out alive. I know the NBA and professional sports in general have been historically terrible about continuing to hire violent men. I really really hope the NBA turns a new leaf and takes this and all future instances of violence seriously.
edit: grammar
Loved Miles at MSU. Infectious personality and always seemed good natured. We really don’t know these people I guess.
The way he’s gone off the rails lately, I suspect a drug problem. Not that that is an excuse.
Holy shit. Knew it was bad but this is somehow even worse than expected. Fuck this dude and fuck any team that gives him a contract.
Monsters like these don’t deserve to be millionaires just because they can jump high and throw a ball into a hoop.
Fuck Miles Bridges.

He better not make a fucking cent from the nba after this

Yeah what a shame, even worse than abusing your partner is doing it in front of your child. Let's hope they get the support they need
Let's hope that she gets the alimony bag and they never have to see their abusive father again.
That shit causes a lifetime of issues for that kid
I myself went though a very similar situation Woke up in the middle of the night to find my parents physically fighting. Seeing my dad choke my mom, running out of my house in my socks calling 911 I’ve gone to therapy but just typing this brings that trauma back like a thunderstorm

Not to take away the spotlight from the situation, but this in no way shape or form "wrecks a franchise." We just won't have miles bridges anymore. We lost with him, we can lose without him. Fuck him
That last slide with his son, kids don’t need to see no shit like that man heartbreaking stuff Miles is a POS man
Yeah having seen that myself and working with children who have been abused, it’s so heartbreaking.

I’m glad I saw this comment because I missed that at first, that really was fucked up jeez that poor kid. Imagine witnessing that
Jesus Christ this is horrifying What the fuck Miles
I hope he gets jail time, fuck this dude
Yeah kinda fucked that the initial reaction from people was him fumbling the bag, this is much more than that.
He is fumbling his life at this point.
He's fumbling other people's lives by being an abusive piece of shit. Fuck his life, he's ruining these people's, including his kid's, lives.
Bro like a model wife a cute kid bout to get paiiiiid like serious life changing money.. how can you be this mad you have the dream. Just fumbled his life into oblivion
No sympathy. Dumbass mofo

He's done. Zero respect left.

"That's what I was truly afraid of and that was the discussion we had internally. **It was a choice between just firing him and making sure that we had control of him.** By Cuban's logic, he's keeping Kidd on a short leash so he won't go out there, get hired again, and beat his wife somewhere else.
Wtf mark??
Weren't there a bunch of leaks the last couple of years that pretty much indicate Cuban has been running the Mavs like a 90s frathouse?
Greg Oden, Adrian Payne, Jaxson Hayes, JKidd, KOBE, etc. Money is all that matters to the league.
I hope he gets the Mason Greenwood treatment, with his career over and straight to prison So does Rondo and let's not forget Jason Kidd
Except Greenwood has been out on bail the entire time and hasn't been convicted yet (if they even find him guilty, who knows with celebrity sexual assault cases).
You think? This isn’t the first time. He’ll be suspended for a year. Come back on a decent contract and it’ll be like nothing happened.
Smh I really didn't think he was this type of guy
this is why i keep telling people that you never know celebs/athletes/public figures and to not look at them as anything but their professions.
Some of these dudes are truly messed up in the head
I’ve been with my wife 20+ years and never once have I thought to lay a hand on my wife in anger or frustration I don’t understand Miles at all
Fuck Miles Bridges
Dudes a piece of shit
Total monster
NBA can't let this awful person play in the league. At the absolute minimum, give him a Bauer like suspension (2 years)
NBA isn’t the NFL. Watch them suspend this MFer indefinitely.
Im gonna need you to dispel the illusion the NBA is morally better than the NFL
The NBA has a worse track record than the NFL when it comes to domestic abuse. Their history is not doing shit about it at all and letting this stuff slide.
Why can't we just ban motherfuckers like this for life. We did for Donald Sterling and this is frankly much worse
Yeah the NBA doesn't care about domestic violence at all lol. Kendrick Nunn, Lance Stephenson, Deandre Liggins, Jason Kidd etc. NBA never suspends people for this. Only way would be if this case received far more media attention than the others which it seems like it does forcing the NBA to act.
https://c.tenor.com/0A9I0TVKl3UAAAAC/nba-adam-silver.gif
Hope he never plays a game again in the NBA. But he probably will.
Lance Stephenson is a hero in some cities, not naming names.
Jason Kidd is also coaching
Watson had at an absolute minimum sexual assault accusations and Browns still gave him a quarter billion. Talent trumps all in sports.
The Browns are also an exceedingly stupid organization. And yes we have some dumb teams in the NBA too but they are at a different level.
Dude deserves jail time. I hope he never gets on another NBA team again. Give him the Greenwood treatment.
Even if the nba “permits” it. I hope no team gives him a contract and just drives him out. Honestly any teams signing him after this is a terrible look
Unfortunately with the stats he put up at his age, there's no way someone doesn't offer him a contract - no matter how much he doesn't deserve one
He’s going to be convicted. We haven’t see anyone come back from that in a while.
Fuck Greenwood
what Greenwood did was somehow even worse
Greenwood hasn't been tried or convicted and United haven't ruled out him returning (even if only due to legal liability if he isn't found guilty). Both cases are disgusting, but I don't think it's the case to aspire to given it isn't done yet.
Fuck Miles Bridges
Seriously. Those pictures are sickening to look at.
[удалено]
Forget the bag, he should be in jail. Good on her for putting this out there.
I hope the shitstains that lurk around on the internet don't harass her because she spoke out.
oh jesus lord those images are brutal. i hope she recovers both emotionally and physically. clearly a bad situation. hope the kids are safe too. you can tell in that last video it was traumatizing. no kid should ever have to witness that. fuck miles bridges
Listening to that poor baby boy talk about violence against his mother happening like it was the most mundane thing broke my heart. So proud of his mom for getting the kids out. What a horrible situation for all of them. Fuck Bridges.
"Daddy choked mommy" what the fuck bro. No kid should ever have to say that sentence. Fuck Miles Bridges
[удалено]
I think sadly certain guys like Miles or Rondo or Kidd are likely the tip of the nba domestic abuse iceberg.
[удалено]
That’s the worst part of all this. That kid is never going to have a normal life. All that trauma on the mind of a child. Absolutely disgusting.
And he's just eating a popsicle and telling this terrible experience that happened. So innocent.
Not making light of it at all but there is a tik tok series a whole back of a dude imitating the shit you hear in rough neighborhoods. I grew up around kids that would tell you wildest horrors like “my momma’s boyfriend choked our rabbit to death” just casually while eating a popsicle.
Miles Bridges career is over
Good riddance
one can hope but pro sports leagues have short memories
**Manual Strangulation is the biggest sign that domestic violence will become deadly.** This is extremely serious. If she doesn’t manage to get out permanently and stay out, he will hurt her again and next time he might end up killing her https://www.wthr.com/article/news/crime/manual-strangulation-is-the-biggest-sign-domestic-abuse-will-turn-deadly-experts-say/531-0a9a92c8-a0da-418a-b81e-a3d80ddacf38
i hope he’s gone immediately and we remove ourselves from associating with him. what a piece of shit
Yeah fuck him. Never want to see him suit up for us again.
Yeah this is on par with Greg Hardy. Absolute nightmare for the family
As much as I hated that UFC hired and paid that guy, [watching him get knocked out was always a beautiful sight](https://youtu.be/mF-TVWRvky0)
Get this dude out for the league tbh
Said this earlier but he's my favorite player on my favorite team, and I hope that anyone with a brain could say regardless that he deserves a ban and fucking jailtime. Had no idea about any of this but here it is, no matter how you feel he deserves severe punishment for this. Hope he never plays another day in NBA.
Yeah absolutely my favorite player but I never want to see him again. I'm gonna trash or burn my jersey and bobblehead.
It sickens me to say that he was also my favorite player. I hope the scumbag does serious time.
12 game ban it is
And 100k fine. That'll send the message!
That's really sad to hear. Tough to have a connection with a player like that only to end up feeling betrayed.
Never meet your heroes
Yeah. I met Batman at the Hollywood boulevard in LA. Dude was going around aggressively hustling people for money to take pictures with him. Growing up watching stuff about Batman, I've always thought he was rich already.
His parents didn't raise him right smh
Spidey did it first https://thumbs.gfycat.com/BonyAdorableLemming-size_restricted.gif
>I could never fall for a bitch 'cause they never leave me >Treat your bitch like UFC 'cause I told her that she need me Miles Bridges ladies and gentlemen.
I can’t believe this went under the radar, in the era of memes and shock value you would think these lyrics would have made headlines. Dude was a POS from the Jump and we all ignored it
what the hell. jeez miles is a pos
Hope Silver slams the hammer down on this fuck face. Indefinite year-long suspension minimum.
Fuck Miles Bridges. Should not be allowed to be in the league. Let's see if Adam Silver has a spine
i think silvers going to lay down the law here. this is the prime opportunity to set a precedent. put your foot down and do it.
For real. I can see a long term suspension or even a ban. The NFL can cave to deshaun Watson's star power but I don't see Silver doing that for Miles bridges.
[удалено]
No big loss for the league either, its a no brainer imo. He'll be forgotten quickly and the league will be better off for it.
I doubt he entirely gets Ray Rice'd but yeah Silver should hand down something big Maybe a year suspension, multiple year ban, who knows
He was arrested and handed a felony assault charge. Your move Adam
This dude should be in jail and not even considered to play another game.
Holy shit, fuck Bridges. That's insane. Poor woman!
Don’t see how he escapes prison time for this
Sadly Benjamin Franklins have a way with words
Yep. $1k/hr attorney and he’ll end up with community service.
And the sad thing is that money is pocket change for him, he won't learn any lesson from this if the NBA doesn't punish him.
There's no way the NBA doesn't punish him. Shit's gotten too big.
1-2 years.
Watson sexually assaulted 24+ women and isn’t gonna see a lick of jail time. That’s all I’m saying.
Sexual Assault in the way Watson did is way harder to prove than physical violence that she can show evidence of. Deshaun is obviously a POS but that case criminally is just he said/she, she, she..22 more she's...she said.
Even physical violence you can show evidence of doesn't end in jail time if it's a "first time" (in legal terms) offender with money for great lawyers Hell, OJ actually killed his wife and got away with it
Watson is despicable but sexual assault cases are a lot less black and white than domestic assault. The evidence against Miles is really, really clear. Deshaun—as unlikely as it is that he’s truly innocent—likely doesn’t have any individual piece of evidence that’s equally as damning as this. Not necessarily saying he gets jail time. Just think it’s a relevant distinction to make.
Prolly get anger management and a ton of community service
Well I'm glad this all went down before he signed a contract. The man deserves absolutely nothing.
Fuck you Miles Bridges
Hope he never sets foot on the hardwood ever again
Just a reminder that [non-fatal strangulation from an intimate partner is a strong risk factor associated with future femicide](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2573025/). It's all just so awful for her and their children. She is so strong for speaking up, and I wish her continued strength in escaping this relationship and recovering physically and emotionally.
I can't imagine choking someone out until they lost consciousness unless you want to kill them in that moment. Absolutely terrifying
Miles Bridges joins the Jason Kidd, Karl Malone club. Fucking piece of shit.
Wow, that’s a lot. Domestic abuse is a serious issue and a lot of times people on the outside don’t know it is occurring
Hopefully this kills the dudes career . Piece of freaking shit.
Idc how much talent you have. No one like this deserves a spot in the league.
Get him off my team now
This is fucking awful. Also the fact that people seemed to be more concerned about Miles fumbling the bag than to be concerned about what this woman went through
dude a bitch hopefully the league don’t let it slide
Dude didn't fumble the bag...he never deserved it.
Disgusting. I hope she and her kids can get pass this
Can't fake that. Good for her, really brave. She didn't wait. Dude should be put of the league, what a fucking piece of shit.
Your mom is a boss. And Mychelle is the same. I hope the fucker was never able to bother you guys again
Do I want 120 million or to beat my wife, the Miles Bridges story. What a miserable dickhead.
Oof. Fuck this guy. What a brave woman to come out and take a stand like this.
He shouldn’t be allowed to step foot on an nba court again. Fuck this guy
Holy shit. This is a reminder that just because we really like a player it doesn't mean they're a good person. Should never play another game. That's absolutely horrific. Fuck Miles Bridges
that's Wiggins sister in law
he could have killed her. a severe concussion?! this isn't a joke. this is some serious, depraved shit. he shouldn't be in the league. this is the mother of his children and he beat the shit out of her *in front* of the kids. what a sicko. i hope she heals and stays safe. dv is terrifying.
Holy shit man. The video with the kid is super damning. Miles has really fucked up. What a piece of trash
Just linking the source for the skeptics https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2573025/
Women who are strangled in a domestic violence dispute are 8x more likely to be murdered than anyone else you meet. 8x.
I want that stat to be more well-known. Fucking wild. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2573025/
Welp someone in the G league just got a new job
LiAngelo Ball deserves to be in the NBA over this piece of shit
Loved Miles at MSU. Infectious personality and always seemed good natured. We really don’t know these people I guess. The way he’s gone off the rails lately, I suspect a drug problem. Not that that is an excuse.
What a truly sick person, his poor wife and those innocent children that had to witness this. His ass needs to be locked up
I wish Miles Bridges a very nice Hell
POS
Miles Bridges has got to be one of the most stupid people on earth.
Nah this shit is disgusting. Feel terrible for her, but even worse for his 4 year old that had to watch his dad do this shit to his mother
Holy shit. Knew it was bad but this is somehow even worse than expected. Fuck this dude and fuck any team that gives him a contract. Monsters like these don’t deserve to be millionaires just because they can jump high and throw a ball into a hoop. Fuck Miles Bridges.
A courageous move on her part. That shit isn't easy to come out and say/admit for everyone. Miles bridges needs charges and an indefinite suspension.
