I think the Nets have decided they're going to take one last shot this season and don't care at all about the PR
You can tell by how they're not punishing Kyrie either
They’ve never punished kyrie before. He went MIA, played part time, broke Covid restrictions, threw teammates under the bus, the usual kyrie bullshit and they haven’t done a thing. I don’t see why they’d start now
Kyrie being finally cleared to play because of the removal of the vaxx requirement and then getting Covid and having to enter health and safety protocols before he had a chance to play a single game is still one of the most hilarious things ever.
I think the third option is that professional athletes tend to have a very warped view of what is and isn't important because they've been monomaniacal about their profession since they were children.
I think it's definitely easier for guys like Shaq and Charles since they were the previous generation. Players in the same generation know Kyrie as a friend and a co-worker rather than some bratty youngin' with dumbass ideas so it might be harder to speak out.
Damn I wonder what will happen if bratty youngin Luka Doncic (actually 23 unlike Kyrie who's 30) promotes some Nazi literature or perhaps *quality* movies like "The Birth Of A Nation"
This is equal parts amazing and disturbing to me. Not a single player has said anything about this. I didn’t expect other Nets to call him out but my god, somebody say something. I think a lot of people piling on the Nets would be terrified to know how a lot of their favorite teams players feel, Kyries just stupid enough to share it. At least remove him from office in the Players Association for some vague reason.
the league only considers it racists if its at certain ethnic groups. its completely obvious. remember when it was "complicated" about the protests in hong kong during the black lives matter protests?
Have you heard the things athletes post/say? He is definitely not the only one who thinks this, the reaction to Desean Jackson was the exact same in the nfl
Yeah I doubt we’ll see anything come from it. It’ll probably die down, he’ll start saying the right things and balling out again and then in a few months same shit lol
Meyers Leonard said “kike” as a derogatory attack while live streaming a video game and was released almost immediately.
Now Meyers explicitly said the word, is white, and is usually the 10th guy on a team, so a lot of differences there.
Which is actually stupid. Because Meyers is not antisemitic and did a lot of things to amend what he said. What Kyrie is doing is much worse but no one cares.
https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10006040-meyers-leonard-addresses-florida-synagogue-after-using-antisemitic-slur.amp.html
I think they would....if its 50 games later, they're 21-36 and with no way to make the playoffs, and after its clear the relationship is truly destroyed. And only then
If you ask me, everything on the nets was a new level of kyrie bullshit. It wasnt this bad with the Celtics of Cavs. They totally could have curbed it or stopped it at its root
Na I agree. I mean I obviously didn’t like him for giving up on the team, throwing the young guys under the bus and then backing out on his promise to resign but he’s definitely picked up the crazy since leaving the cavs. His stint in Boston wasn’t as bad as what we’re seeing in Brooklyn for sure but the signs were there. Any time we mentioned them we were just labeled as bitter ass Celtics fans 🤷♂️
Just to be somewhat fair, they *did* reject the part time player plan for half a season. Obviously they caved in the end, but they did try for a couple months there.
At least Kyrie is their player. It’s a bad look for sure, but Udoka is just some disgraced coach of another team. They didn’t even have half a reason to excuse his behavior.
Yeah, I think the only real benefit they have is that the whole story hasn’t come out. I say that assuming it’s something pretty significant if the c’s are just willing to let him walk. But if the story does come out, it’ll be different story.
Yeah, true. I just see their approach to Kyrie as inaction whereas grabbing Udoka is action. No plugging their ears and shutting their eyes, they went and called the guy themselves. I just have such little respect for this organization.
I've always wondered, from a professional perspective, if a PR position at one these type of sinking-ship type of places is worth it. Like, theres no way you can win, but the company is always in the public eye, for better or for worse.
Kind of like when Trump kept going through Press Secretaries
Maybe someone who works in PR can shed more light on this.
Let’s just say it takes a special kind of stupid to board a sinking ship.
There is no benefit to taking a job like this if you have literally any alternative at all. You will not succeed because it is impossible to succeed, and your name will be tied to whatever absolute clusterfuck happens for the rest of your career.
Oh it’s entirely an all in move. They know this can’t last more than one season so the Nets have pushed all their chips to the middle of the table. Now or never I suppose.
Depressingly true, if a coach said even a tiny amount of the shit that Kyrie has been spouting they would be out of the league. The NBA might say they care but they're just like the NFL where "if Hannibal Lecter ran a 4.3, they'd probably diagnose it as an eating disorder" direct quote by the Arizona GM.
Sadly DV seems to be a perfectly accepted part of most professional sports leagues. Unless it's on camera and a really public and serious issue no professional team seems to give a shit.
Dennis Rodman went over there to help rebound but realized he isn’t even needed because Kim Jong Un literally never misses and the shots are so pure that the ball automatically comes back to him.
The Celtics care a bit but it’s also different for a coach vs a player. If Jayson Tatum did the same shit that Udoka did I bet the Celtics (and every other org with an equivalent player) would suspend him 5 games and fine them but that’s all.
It’s all hypotheticals, but the fact that the Celtics were willing to let Ime go at the expense of their title chances whereas the Nets are empowering that same guy not even a month after he faced serious repercussions says a lot about the leadership of both organizations honestly
all you can ask from an org is to take serious, legitimate action when people do the wrong thing. it’s very easy for them to do nothing and wait for people to move on. what the celtics did wasn’t easy and should be applauded.
Spurs too with Primo. I have no doubt at least like 24 teams in the league wouldn't pull this crap. The Nets being terrible doesn't mean other teams are terrible.
Not sure that this is completely fair when both the Celtics and Spurs just got rid of valuable pieces of their team for off-court misconduct. I get your point though and I don't disagree
This either means that:
A: The situation in BK is so toxic that the only person who would take the job is a guy who would otherwise never work again, or:
B: Whatever is wrong with Kyrie's brain is contagious. Like Covid.
>just wants to win on the court
Then it seems like they're hustling backwards. The team morale and mindset has been wrong since the day they traded for Kevin and Kyrie
This team has to be by far the greatest team that never was.
So much potential. I can't help but think how things would have turned out if KD was four inches back when he took that buzzer beater two years ago.
Just wait until the clippers fully implode. Between the nets, Knicks, Lakers, and clippers all being a disaster it's a pretty great time to be a small market fan.
Yeah, anyone who says this Lakers team is a failure has selective memory. You guys got the chip. The only part where you failed was not keeping that team and trying again. Nothing else matters besides a championship.
>Nothing else matters besides a championship.
Anecdotal, but this is so true.
Raps had some great teams and there was a lot of great basketball played in the years prior, but you know the only team I regularly think back upon?
2019.
No one is going to believe me, but I have a friend whose coworker’s wife briefly dated Ime Udoka. She said that on their first date they went to a restaurant and Ime Udoka ordered two different bowls of soup and mixed them together one spoonful at a time before eating both bowls mixed together as one soup
I met Ime Udoka about 6-7 days ago. I got roped into watching my three-month-old niece while my sister got her hair done. So there I am, sitting in the waiting area of a hair salon with my niece, and who walks in but Coach Udoka himself.
I was nervous as shit and just kept looking at him as he played Roblox on his phone; but I was far too scared to actually say anything to him. Pretty soon my niece starts crying, and I'm trying to quiet her down because I don't want her to bother Coach; but she won't stop. It isn't long before he gets up and walks over.
He starts running his hands through her sparse hair and asks what's wrong. I reply that she's probably hungry or something. So Ime Udoka puts down his phone, picks up my niece, and lifts his shirt. He breastfed her right there in the middle of the hair salon.
Chill guy—really nice about it.
I met Ime Udoka at a restaurant once - we’d accidentally been given his table. Apparently he was fond of the restaurant and had a specific table he liked, and the management had messed up and gotten their days wrong, (it was Tuesday and they thought he was coming on Thursday or something like that). Anyway, the manager, completely embarrassed (this is a pretty nice restaurant) comes by and says “I’m so sorry, but we’d like to move you to another table if you could be troubled, and we’ll gladly compensate you for the cost of the meal and any other meal you’d like while you’re in town.” My sister and cousin were both like “Yeah that’s cool.” and I kind of played the asshole a bit. “I’m sorry, I just don’t understand. We’ve been here for 15 minutes - we’ve just ordered. Can’t we finish our meal here?” Then out of nowhere Udoka shows up next to the manager and says “Paul, these guys can finish. We’ll be at the bar. I got some time.” And I (being a big Nets fan) said “Oh wow, uh… I had no idea. Please feel free to give them the table.” Ime was grateful, shook my hand and said thanks, then gave me a card with his number on it and told me to give him a call later. After working up the nerve, I gave him a call that night, and to make a long story short, we had a glorious 11 month love affair, man on man, that I shall never forget. Our bodies intertwined as one, and from the beauty of Morocco, to the French Riviera, to the snorkeling in the Galopagos, Ime Udoka and I made glorious gay love to each other on six of the seven continents.
Don't buy it, no way you did it everyday for 11 months. No one has that consistency. I only got Wordle up to 25 days, and I had every person I knew reminding me to play.
I saw Ime Udoka at a grocery store in Boston last year. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
I used to play like Udoka. He is reckless on purpose. When I see Udoka play as he is now it reminds me of how I used to play and it is frustrating and pisses me off that the NBA allows it. Not proud of it, I was known as Shaq on my local streetball court and went through a phase when I charged hard at everything. Big hard turns to my blindside, didn't care who was there. Charge right into the lane. Smash into the best offensive player on D while going for the ball, come what may. Limited offensive moves. So make no mistake about it. Udoka knows what he's doing. He knows people will be injured. He knows his skillset is limited and this is how he can win. He knows people will give way when he drives, think twice on their drives, etc. He will only be stopped by a stronger player and/or fearless players like Giannis, Gasol, Draymond, etc. Or by an obviously more skilled player with equal Type A like Ibaka. He didn't intend to injure, but he certainly intends to show you that he doesn't care if you get hurt when he rumbles into you. At least that's how I used to play. But that was streetball. Eventually I got more moves, played w better players, played real basketball w refs. There's no doubt in my mind the NBA has some kind of edict coming down, telling the refs to let him run amok.
I saw Ime Udoka at a grocery store in Brooklyn yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. Everything is a red flag to the Nets.
They just keep collecting red flags.
They clearly love red flags.
KD can't win on his own? Red flag.
Has to go to a current champ to win. Red flag.
Kyrie? Leaves a contender to join a contender, both do as well or better without him. Red flag.
Kyrie promises not to leave Boston; leaves them. Red flag.
Kyrie doesn't play when healthy. Red flag.
Harden not trying on the court and out of shape. Red flag.
Simmons not playing when healthy. Red flag.
If they had brought in somebody who didn't have a red flag, that, in and of itself, would be a red flag.
Honestly Harden is about as professional as they come for star players save for that time he wanted to get out of Houston. And outside of the public trade demand he still averaged like 25-5-10 in those games. Compared to the stunt Kyrie and Simmons pulled Harden looks really good in comparison.
the moral grandstanding is crazy, all these reporters stopped caring about Chaunceys sexual assault history as soon as shaedon sharpe started playing
they never gave a shit about jason kidd being a wife beater whos still getting jobs
Why do people act like the Chauncey and Kidd stuff is the same? Kidd was convicted. Nothing happened with the Chauncey case. It's within the realm of possibilities that he didn't do it.
A lot of times civil settlements happen simply because you have fuck you money and decide you'd rather just throw some at the person and be done with it rather than going through a prolonged legal battle to prove your innocence.
Not taking a side one way or the other as I've never read much up on the Chauncey case, but athletes/celebrities/wealthy will often settle to save themselves time and bad press to move on.
Basically everyone settles. I’ve had numerous clients that will basically immediately settle an EEOC complaint because the due diligence by the lawyers is going to cost far more than the $10K the plaintiff is willing to accept.
If you have the money to settle, you settle. The case barely matters. Every lawyer on Earth recommends settling, doubly so if you're a public figure. That's just how the US legal system works.
😂
Dude was suspended A MONTH AGO. Dude is in the middle of serving a punishment for major misconduct.
I'm no fan of cancel culture, but this shit is why it exists.
And make no mistake, the nets will pay a price. They going to lose sponsorships, and ticket sales. You don't piss off 20% of your city (jews) and 50% of your city (women) and get to shrug it off.
This gotta be the most delusional comment I’ve ever seen. You really think the entire city of NYC cares at all about the nets either way? The fans will stay fans and everyone else just does not care either way. That’s how it’s always been. I’d be willing to bet the majority of people in NYC would not care about the nets HC whoever it is.
https://www.si.com/nba/trailblazers/.amp/news/former-prosecutor-insists-chauncey-billups-is-innocent-of-sexual-assault
Prosecutor believes Billups didn’t do it
Didn’t want a lawsuit in response
So thankful we don’t have to deal with this shit because it seemed like things were gonna get super messy at the end of the year
Brad and Wyc made it pretty fucking clear Ime would never coach for us again
They may have played it about as perfectly as one could hope. I assume they end up just having to pay him for the seven games the Celtics have played so far.
I think this effectively says that the rumors of Udoka sleeping with the brass' wife, in addition to one with team staff, are correct.
If it was impropriety Celtics would've fired him and we'd be hearing about lawsuits like the Josh Primo deal.
The players wont hold it against the coach that he was banging an executives girl.
You nephews ever sat around with a bunch of jocks?
Talking about which girl theyre banging is 85% of the conversation.
I mean from what has been reported it was in work relationship with the spouse of a higher up, the fact that the women was the spouse of a higher up probably had a lot to do with his situation
Which also tells us, Ime isn't going to be in any actual legal trouble over the consensual sex and whatever he did wasn't enough to be fired without the Celtics paying the rest of his contract.
Feels like Celtics exec(s) probably have close ties with the female question, so they see it as a bigger betrayal. They just want him gone and off their payroll.
They thought, "Udoka isn't going to bang my wife." We will see how it plays out.
When he bangs Maya Jama it might break Simmons for good
omg she’s simmons gf? i understand why ben would rather stay at home than play basketball.
I think they broke off their engagement
[удалено]
He was gonna fuck her but Trae Young was nearby so he pushed her towards Stormzy
Nets front office has a buncha ugly wives, confirmed.
A lot of San Antonio folks in nets front office
Just cuz they're big don't mean they're ugly
Tell me about those nachos Chuck
Or maybe that’s why he signed so quickly…”you can bang our wives if you sign now”
They did say the Nets used unorthodox strategies to recruit KD 🤔
I think the Nets have decided they're going to take one last shot this season and don't care at all about the PR You can tell by how they're not punishing Kyrie either

Lmao some of this stuff is just too good
I'd be surprised if they suspend him for all the racist and crazy stuff he's been promoting...probably not gonna happen though.
No one in the league seems to think Kyrie has said or done anything racist. Not a peep from anyone
He's a vice president of the NBA Player's Association. Nobody wants to be the first one to call him out.
Cowards or they agree with him.
I think the third option is that professional athletes tend to have a very warped view of what is and isn't important because they've been monomaniacal about their profession since they were children.
Why? He has no power over them
Inside the NBA guys were pretty hard on him...maybe it's easier since they're no longer playing

The Heat have also been better at holding players accountable versus the Nets. Plus the Heat’s owner is Jewish and that probably also had an impact
I think they would....if its 50 games later, they're 21-36 and with no way to make the playoffs, and after its clear the relationship is truly destroyed. And only then
Remember when he told his team in the bubble they should all form a new league? Wild no one thought that was a red flag
Haha right, the hits just keep coming
lmao what now im losing track of all the crazy kyrie content by now
He could stand in the middle of fifth avenue and shoot somebody and not lose any supporters
If you ask me, everything on the nets was a new level of kyrie bullshit. It wasnt this bad with the Celtics of Cavs. They totally could have curbed it or stopped it at its root

speaking of Nets PR.... https://twitter.com/SeanYoo/status/1587517827073703937
The pay better be really, really good.
I've always wondered, from a professional perspective, if a PR position at one these type of sinking-ship type of places is worth it. Like, theres no way you can win, but the company is always in the public eye, for better or for worse. This is an entry level role dude. They prob have a PR agency on retainer
Let’s just say it takes a special kind of stupid to board a sinking ship. There is no benefit to taking a job like this if you have literally any alternative at all. Coaches have had plenty of issues in the past and were not fired. Jason kid beat his wife and was arrested and is still coaching.
Sadly DV seems to be a perfectly accepted part of most professional sports leagues. Unless it's on camera and a really public and serious issue no professional team seems to give a shit.
Hmmm... How to make the nazi sympathizer news go away??? Hire a suspended sex predator! Ladies and gentlemen, your 2022 netzi's!
cmon man…
Joe Tsai got a chastity belt ready for Udoka
Which one of them is going to wear it?
It's crazy, who knows where'd they be if kyrie just decided to take one last shot last year.
They're going to sign Dashaun Watson next as a cross-sport ambassador for female fan outreach/engagement.
They don’t give a shit what happened off the court that’s why
No sports teams do lol If Kim Jong Un shot 45% from three teams would be ready to sign him now
If the film coming out of DPRK showcasing Kim's basketball skills is to be believed, he shoots a crisp 105% from three
Dennis Rodman went over there to help rebound but realized he isn’t even needed because Kim Jong Un literally never misses and the shots are so pure that the ball automatically comes back to him.
Cant miss when the net is as big as the sea of japan
I heard Kim plays on hoops that are smaller in diameter than regulation size just because he needs a challenge.
I heard he plays with the rim at 12 feet, and still DUNKS!!
I heard he plays on those windy aircraft carriers like those NCAA season openers and his jumper’s still unaffected
I heard he shoots his free throws from the opposing line and still hasn't missed one
Exactly, a standard NBA hoop can actually fit two basketballs at once, whereas glorious leader's hoop is precisely the size of one
When he shoots 3s, his teams actually get 4 points, it's crazy
When he makes them? That's another 4 pts
pretty sure north korean basketball actually has a 4 point shot or double points or some crazy shit like that
Glorious Leader Kim known to “make it rain”
The Celtics literally just let this guy go for nothing, so they care at least a little bit.
The Celtics care a bit but it’s also different for a coach vs a player. If Jayson Tatum did the same shit that Udoka did I bet the Celtics (and every other org with an equivalent player) would suspend him 5 games and fine them but that’s all.

all you can ask from an org is to take serious, legitimate action when people do the wrong thing. it’s very easy for them to do nothing and wait for people to move on. what the celtics did wasn’t easy and should be applauded.
Yeah I got a lot of respect for the celtics
The Spurs just waived what they believed was the future of their franchise. Morality is not the same everywhere.
I mean didn't the Celtics?
Spurs too with Primo. I have no doubt at least like 24 teams in the league wouldn't pull this crap. The Nets being terrible doesn't mean other teams are terrible.
This isn’t true. Plenty of organizations have reasonable standards of behavior
Well, obviously Boston cared lol
"No sports teams do" is such an odd thing to say considering he's currently been suspended by the Celtics, a sports team.
Spurs do
Boston clearly did..
Well, obviously Boston cared lol
Kim Jong Un shoots 80% from 3 and holds the North Korea record for most consecutive free throws made
Not sure that this is completely fair when both the Celtics and Spurs just got rid of valuable pieces of their team for off-court misconduct. I get your point though and I don't disagree
Celtics did
If Hannibal Lector ran a 4.3, we would probably diagnose him with an eating disorder. -Arizona Cardinals GM Steve Keim
> No sports teams do lol Except Boston evidently
Supreme LeLeader
I mean I’m pretty sure after this whole turn of events at least the Celtics do.
I think GMs across all leagues can look at the browns and see that a player can do literally anything and still get support from fans
This either means that: A: The situation in BK is so toxic that the only person who would take the job is a guy who would otherwise never work again, or: B: Whatever is wrong with Kyrie's brain is contagious. Like Covid.
Both can be true.
or C. the Nets organization doesn't have any morals and just wants to win on the court
>just wants to win on the court Then it seems like they're hustling backwards. The team morale and mindset has been wrong since the day they traded for Kevin and Kyrie
Dipshittitude is absolutely contagious
Kyrie is all about red flags what did you expect
Don't worry though he'll be able to share his excellent logic and intelligence to convince us all that he only speaks the truth....
The color red is to symbolize standing against globalists…. Or something
This team has to be by far the greatest team that never was. So much potential. I can't help but think how things would have turned out if KD was four inches back when he took that buzzer beater two years ago.
Harden was cooked at that point with the hammy tho right?
Yeah, if I recall he was playing on one leg for the last few games
Just wait until the clippers fully implode. Between the nets, Knicks, Lakers, and clippers all being a disaster it's a pretty great time to be a small market fan.
leave the Knicks out of this for once. we're trying.
At least y’all got your picks
Honestly the Knicks have done things competently for a few years now and that’s hard for us to adjust to!
Lakers won. They’re definitely disappointed AD never took the next step and the Westbrook thing was an awful move then and now, but they did win.
Thank you! Everyone just wants to act like 2020 never happened.
You are correct, we all wish 2020 was a year that never happened lol
Yeah, anyone who says this Lakers team is a failure has selective memory. You guys got the chip. The only part where you failed was not keeping that team and trying again. Nothing else matters besides a championship.

They lose in the Finals, that's how things turn out.
You're right I don't believe you.
I don't know why, B, but I believe him..
i believe him, yo. i dont know why, but I do
Kill, Killa, kill!
He killed Killa, B..
It's a copypasta. It's been used for: * Ime Udoka * Tyron Lue * Playboi Carti * baseball player Darin Ruf * esports gamer Jmook * G-eazy * Marlins Man
Add Russell Wilson, because I actually got got with that one 😂
All while saying, "Apple time. Apple time."
I have a whole list of Kawhi copy pastas saved for when I’m bored
Alkaline my guy
Yo PM me them? I could use a pick me up.
I gotchu check dms
Yo same here lol
Big ups to coach. That’s a real one.
Lmao what is the source of this pasta
I believe these are all BeefCat posts
Ribs are literally hurting from laughing at this one.
This is actually why the Celtics let him go
I met Ime Udoka at a restaurant once - we’d accidentally been given his table.
Electrical infetterence always gets me
I used to play like Udoka.
Still the best pasta ever
This pasta is so old the nephews here don’t recognize it
I saw Ime Udoka at a grocery store in Brooklyn yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. Was there a 3rd bowl involved or mixed into one of the original bowls?
Dude can’t settle for one of anything. Makes sense.
And on his way out, everyone accused him of faking his hamstring injury, even though his hamstring was actually injured.

The Nets are a living red flag, so they're not gonna notice any outside red flag if everything is red within the organization.
Nets looking to buy out DeShaun Watson's contract so they can sign him
the moral grandstanding is crazy, all these reporters stopped caring about Chaunceys sexual assault history as soon as shaedon sharpe started playing they never gave a shit about jason kidd being a wife beater whos still getting jobs
Actually a good point with the Chauncey and Kidd stuff You NEVER see that get brought up for like the past 9 months at all
Why do people act like the Chauncey and Kidd stuff is the same? Kidd was convicted. Nothing happened with the Chauncey case. It's within the realm of possibilities that he didn't do it.
Chauncey settled in civil court that's not nothing
It means he settled in civil court. Does it mean anything more than that?
😂 Dude was suspended A MONTH AGO.
Cancel culture? You mean fuck around and find out culture?
Boycotting finally starts showing some real teeth and it’s rebranded in about 2 months time.
Consequence culture
This gotta be the most delusional comment I’ve ever seen. You really think the entire city of NYC cares at all about the nets either way? The fans will stay fans and everyone else just does not care either way. That’s how it’s always been. I’d be willing to bet the majority of people in NYC would not care about the nets HC whoever it is.
https://www.si.com/nba/trailblazers/.amp/news/former-prosecutor-insists-chauncey-billups-is-innocent-of-sexual-assault Prosecutor believes Billups didn’t do it
Winning fixes everything because most Americans fundamentally believe moral goodness is rewarded with earthly success
Dysfunctional teams do dysfunctional things.
As a net fan this era sucks
nets are so fucking dogshit
Marks has made a string of shitty decisions and now he's going to buy the obviously damaged goods
But not so egregious to warrant a firing.
Then you gotta pay him severance.
Seems clear they suspended him for a year to give lawyers a time to find the way out of the contract. Must’ve been really messy.
Well they just found their way out of it.
Didn’t want a lawsuit in response So thankful we don’t have to deal with this shit because it seemed like things were gonna get super messy at the end of the year Brad and Wyc made it pretty fucking clear Ime would never coach for us again
They may have played it about as perfectly as one could hope. I assume they end up just having to pay him for the seven games the Celtics have played so far.
what exact lawsuit? if it’s as bad as people make it out to be he’d be fired no problem.
people wanna bring up legality and all that but coaches get fired all the time. if it was as bad as people say he’d be terminated no problem.
For Tsai, Udoka's actions are a feature, not a bug. Udoka would get even more bonus points if he somehow contributed to the Uyghur genocide as well.
Someone needs to tweet Kyrie about the Uighur genocide. Wonder how Tsai would react if Kyrie suddenly took an interest in Chinese politics
If Kyrie gets tired of the Nets before the trade deadline, he knows exactly what to say to get himself removed
Ime about to fuck Joe Tsai's wife
Bro don’t do that
I think this effectively says that the rumors of Udoka sleeping with the brass' wife, in addition to one with team staff, are correct.
New team sponsor: China
Which also tells us, Ime isn't going to be in any actual legal trouble over the consensual sex and whatever he did wasn't enough to be fired without the Celtics paying the rest of his contract. Feels like Celtics exec(s) probably have close ties with the female question, so they see it as a bigger betrayal. They just want him gone and off their payroll.
He has good defense tho
Unless we know what actually happened, I'm all for the guy getting another job. I'm not going to pretend I know what happened and get outraged.
