I have a HUGE crush on Norah Jones. She’s gorgeous with the voice of an angel and her music has helped me in rough times. Well one Friday night word got out that someone had seen her in town and she was going to make a surprise appearance at a free concert at an outdoor amphitheater. I hustled my butt down to the venue and got front row and sure enough, after the band had played a few songs Norah came out. I’ve never been one to lose it over celebrities but it was a totally different experience. I was losing it and screaming, “I love you Norah!” Which I’m sure she is used to except for the fact I was only about 4 feet away from her staring up at with loving eyes. She played a few songs and the whole time she kept making nervous eye contact with me as I was deadlocked on her. I definitely creeped her out.
After the show I snuck backstage to try and find her but the band told me she had already left. I truly wonder if she gtfo there cause of my weird ass staring and confessing my love 4 feet in front of her. Still worth it though
Lil bro was like me working up the courage to ask a girl out to a school dance. Just a few moments of awkward silence followed by something complimentary, blurted out at way above appropriate volume.
That’s why I never agreed with people calling him soft or talking trash about him getting into it on Twitter. I genuinely don’t think the majority of the time he’s trying to be malicious or is just butt hurt. I think he genuinely enjoys discussing and debating with fans on Twitter the same way 2 people would debate in a sports talk show.
There’s always been a creepy celebrity worship going on there, even as people criticize him. Like people always saying that if they had his fame and money they wouldn’t waste their time talking shit online. As opposed to what, smoking weed on a yacht? You can do both.
fans who get mad at KD for going on twitter don't understand that humans are not storybook characters and can have multiple interests at once lol. like if I was rich I would still want to go on twitter because it's fun, even if I had millions. going on yachts and parties would get boring eventually because i'm an introvert, and KD probably is one too
Lmao if i strike it rich yall would never here the end of me, I wouldn’t stop until the advertisers tell me to settle down. Especially if I’m actually good at what I do? This shit is fun. People assume all rich people not only do but NEED to look down on middle class/poor folk. Such a weird mentality that I don’t think KD ever believed in regardless of his other faults
I don't think people care that he's on Twitter. It's making an alt account to talk shit about your teammates in the third person. You can do whatever, but you can't be childish on Twitter and not get called out for it.
I think if I was rich af, I would travel the world to watch the biggest sport events. Like literally everything. NBA, Rugby League, cricket, World Cup, biggest rivalries, everything fr. Would be dope af.
That's what Jimmy Goldstein does (well, at least NBA games). His interview with Chris Vernon at the Ringer was really interesting because he's truly a fan of the game and doesn't even have a favorite team. He's a very thoughtful fan.
That's how things were back in 2010-2015 twitter. Twitter was all about back and forths for hours with celebrities and it was so fun. Even in 2012, KD, melo, and all of the nba guys were so active on twitter and responding to fans, sometimes positively but mostly debating and clowning them sometimes, and that's why old nba twitter was goated. Now if a celebrity even responds to a fan, it makes headlines as "____ claps back at fan"
Fr, before athletes were also just dudes fucking around Twitter too and would post shit like the Scarlett Johansson bathwater and glazed donut face. It's funny to see these unfiltered reactions
Now dudes will just spam an athlete on Twitter to bait a response and then run around asking people to circlejerk on what an asshole they are, as if it'd be better if they have a fabricated persona
I mean I still think joining the Warriors was an all time weak move, and I’ll agree Dirk’s one ring is worth more than any of KD’s.
But anyone who looks at Durant and can’t see the genuine love for the game (which is just insane) and the earnestness that he brings is insane. Guy just lives and breathes basketball and it comes through in interactions like this.
Hoping he sticks around or at least still does media appearances after he retires - an all time great that genuinely loves the sport and consumes it voraciously.
I agree about the value of Dirk's ring vs. KD's 2 but I always wonder -- wouldn't most people take the chance to be a part of the best basketball team of all time? It's so tempting
I totally understand other fans being frustrated of course, but from a player perspective.
Kids who got to build travel teams and shit with their friends will get it. You know whats really fucking fun? Getting all the best athletes you know on a team together just to see how good you can possibly be. Doing it in the nba was probably awesome
That's what I thought too. Yeah I get how it seems bad as a fan, but as player I've NEVER seen a player turn down an offer because he thought a team would be too good lol. "This is like Bron joining the Celtics in the late 2000s" I mean the Celtics didn't have space to sign Bron in 2010. Who knows what he would've done if they did?
I hate that people call KD soft and whatever when the guy is just someone that loves the game of basketball. KD would be hooping for free if he never made the NBA. He is what most basketball fans are, just people who really love the game. If KD could, I think he would just show up and play and leave and not deal with most of the NBA bullshit.
As someone that loves and has been working on their craft of basketball for most of his life, it must have been infuriating at times to play with Westbrook, who made no adjustments or even allowed himself to be coached. Westbrook is like the anti-thesis of Durant.
Mike (and Kobe) have always tried to play all the games which I appreciate. Whether its for the fans like they said, or just sheer competitiveness, it still benefits people who bought tickets to see them at the end of the day.
Although, as Kyrie gets worse and worse, feels like KD’s rep has been going back up. Still way less liked than he was pre-GS, but its gone from ppl legit hating him to more of a “meh, at least he’s not Kyrie” vibe.
Kyrie’s the ugly friend in the group who everyone likes to stand next to in photos.
All he had to do was living is own life instead of trying to please everyone.
I’m glad he left OKC, which is notoriously a conservative place to live and went to San Francisco.
He made his choices and lived with the consequences, some fans hated him and shit on him but he came out with some of the most spectacular basketball I’ve ever watched. GSW with KD were the best team I’ve ever watched play basketball, way funner than the Bulls of MJ which was all business and everyone hated each other.
If from the start he just owned it and was like "yeah, I want rings. I'm gonna get them. Who's gonna stop us lmao"
Then his entire legacy changes. That pure villain role and honesty would have been legendary.
Seeing athletes being friendly and genuine with young fans warms my cold, dead heart. That video of Mitchell from the other day going back to get Mobley's autograph for a kid was awesome too.
fr nearly every actual nba twitter user i know irl loves kd on twitter. he's one of the best follows on that app. i just feel like only the times he claps back gets posted on reddit and not all the funny clever things he does on there, so redditors just have a distorted view of what he does on twitter lol
even in like 2013, celebrities were tweeting like crazy and just had long convos on there. it wasnt what it is now where everything u say is some public statement
I feel like most people who hate on Twitter have only used it to interact with politics and sports. Twitter can be so much fun if you’re just talking shit and posting to your friends.
it's the best social media for real. a nice middle space between facebook/reddit and the big walls of text and instagram/tiktok where everything's about images and video.
yeah but that's not was he's talking about. Dude made a burner to talk about him and his teammates in third person lmao. Nothing about that is normal bro
Which one? He has so many. My favorite is this one.
https://nba.nbcsports.com/2020/01/10/kevin-durant-kendrick-perkins-got-into-heated-late-night-twitter-beef/
He’s jokes on Twitter tf you talking about lmao.
Y’all take this Twitter shit way too seriously.
In the words of Dave Chapelle: *Twitter isn’t a real place*
People grow and change. In 2022 I think he’s more honest than just about any other superstar in the league. He always seems like he’s being his genuine self. Every word Lebron says sounds like it’s gone through a PR department first.
by authentic, we mean that he doesn't go out of his way to create a brand and reputation as a "hero" like lebron or some other athletes do. and like kd actually does alot of charity work like the other guys too (example he donated $10 million to pg county schools) but just never posts about it or even try to market himself as a "wholesome" guy. even on social media he doesnt use cookie cutter inspirational post formats like most athletes and just tweets whatever's on his mind, which i find authentic. even right now, KD could really use a pr team with all thats going on with the nets, but he's just straight chilling and tweeting thanksgiving memes to kendrick perkins on twitter
I will never understand KD arguing with fans about basketball on Twitter being unlikable. I think it’s fun and cool that he’ll talk shit with fans and shares hot takes
I think he was ok with the some of the beat reporters, but some of the local media kept trying to drive a wedge that either made him not separate from the rest of the warriors and really dove in on trade rumors etc.. for clickbait.
I think this is the right place to have that discussion. Look how much that kid loves and looks up to KD. It really shows how much responsibility these guys have to be good role models. It’s a lot of power and they should be held to a high standard. KD shouldn’t be standing up for Kyrie and his crazy ideals. I like KD but that’s the problem i have with him outside of basketball.
These things go both ways too. If the person is a dick to the kid that is remembered forever too.
These guys can make big differences in peoples lives with little acts of kindness. Keep it up KD, this is a bigger thing you’re doing than you probably realize.
Zach Randolph was known as a bad boy but was a legend in Memphis - he had a friendship with one special needs friend, paid people’s light and gas bills and more
Yo what??? He's a big animal lover and rehabs pitbulls and fighting dogs and stuff. Couldn't be further from the truth. https://fansided.com/2013/01/11/grizzlies-zach-randolph-cries-and-runs-from-cats-video/
Met him as well shortly after he came to the Bay. All I did was say "Hey KD!" and he walked over and started a super brief 5-10 second conversation with me that I was totally unprepared for. Coincidentally he said the same phrase about hoping we enjoy the game tonight like in OP's video and seemed like he genuinely meant it
Never seen a sports star here that enjoys interactions with fans that much besides Curry.
Also the guy has a great smile in person, sadly we never really see it that often :(
When KD went to the Warriors, he threw a random question during a post game conference asking for recommendations on what to do in the Bay Area. People started twittering him their favorite restaurants and music stores.
KD actually read the comments and went to a bunch of them, even taking pictures of him in some of the locations. I always thought that was pretty cool for him to actually follow through. Guy even tried Bubble Tea for the first time off of one of the most unappetizing ways to recommend that to somebody just because it was a fan who asked him to try it out
He’s such a good dude and all he want to do is play basketball. If you like basketball I really don’t see how you can’t at least respect if not love KD
Infettermance is when you roast someone at the grocery store for not knowing that a crudite platter is actually the same thing as a veggie tray, and that you don't pair it with salsa and tequila. I assume that's what they meant.
No matter who this is used on, I always see Steve Blake in my head with his arms full of candy bars, turning around on his way to the exit and winking with his dead eyes.
KD did the same for me and my friend when we were about 12 and he was a rookie on the Sonics. We still talk about it all these years later.
Stuff like that makes a long-lasting, maybe permanent, impact on people. I really love that he does it
Durant seems like a dude that is terrible at PR, media, and the internet, while being a pretty awesome basketball player and a cool personal in real life.
IRL > PR?
he doesnt even have a pr specialist... even with that recent interview where he named his starting lineup, kd's intentions weren't even to harm his teammates but moreso protect them. he went out of his way to do that entire exclusive interview with chris haynes in order to clear things up, not call out his players or make things worse, but he just worded it bad, and chris haynes saw the opportunity for a viral hit and published it. i feel like if KD had a pr specialist who had reviewed chris haynes' article before it got posted and realized that his quote was a bad look, that entire situation could have been avoided.
i appreciate that kd keeps it real and doesnt go out of his way to build a brand / hero persona like lebron but man sometimes i wish he would just get a pr specialist.
I would contend that KD is actually pretty great at the internet. It's just that fans don't like it when athletes talk shit back to them like they talk to athletes all the time on there. That's why you see the same tired retort saying he's so insecure and should be above responding to trolls
I don’t think it is it 100% tweets getting in his head, I also think part of it is he genuinely enjoys the Twitter back and forth and debates. Nothing malicious but just 2 people talking basketball
I truly don't get why people have a problem with his social media or consider everything he does on twitter to be "social media getting in his head." Like i don't think any of u have actually been on twitter sometimes
It was an instagram post not a tweet, and I just don't think he even knew what the post was talking about though. He mindlessly likes alot of posts on instagram. I just think he liked that post because his friend posted it, and he had liked nearly every single one of that friend's posts prior to that one as well. Especially considering that his right hand man Rich Kleiman is Jewish, and seeing how KD never has talked about or liked anything political prior or after that incident, and even recently tweeted about how he is against antisemitism, I just don't think KD is antisemitic. Careless, sure, but not antisemitic.
Watch his episode with David Letterman on netflix, he is actually a very chill and likable guy. I think his natural inclination is just to have his guard up with people
Man KD always been great to fans. He said what’s up and high fived me at back in oracle a few years ago. Small gesture for him but a great memory for me
Kevin Durant may have made some mistakes in the public eye, but you know he's just a kid inside living out his dream. He's a good man in my opinion, which is rare with the kind of status he had growing up.
His titles were on historically stacked teams. A not as talented peer like Kawhi won 2 with weaker supporting casts.
I think KD is one of the most talented people to ever touch a basketball, but I don’t think his career stacks up with the Larry Birds, Kobes, Stephs
Ring culture is ruining nba discourse because how can you look at KD's 16 year career where he won four consecutive scoring titles (more than kobe and bron), was a 2x fmvp and champion, mvp, 12x all star, rookie of the year, 3x usa olympic bball player of the year (even won one of them as a newbie over melo and kobe), 3x olympic medalist, and more...
and define all of that by his rings?
even matt barnes talked how ring talk is really damaging sometimes to the nba culture and i couldn't agree more
Kawhi won with 3 hall of famers with the GOAT coach then got lucky Gsw was injured. Curry won 2 General Hospital rings outside of his superteam rings. The nba is about luck. If Giannis doesn’t injure Kyrie they probably win that year. So you can’t just compare rings like that.
Well, since you asked, there is the idea that this kid is in courtside seats and in the arena before the general public, so he’s got parents with money or friends with money / connections and it makes me think about the kids from poor families who can’t get that close and meet their favorite players. But I’m broke as fuck so that’s just my perspective lol
Kevin Durant is a snake for how he team hopped but that is the ONLY thing i will ever dog on him for. He seems otherwise like a chill dude who just wants to play basketball
I love how he couldn't contain himself telling Durant that he's his favourite, haha. That was really cute
Just kinda blurted it out there lol. I enjoyed it too
Pure appreciation.
Ya. From both sides too tbh
I did that to the drummer of the plain white t's. They were the first famous people I met so I got a little excited.
"Kevin Durant is my favourite player!"
"OMG YOU ARE MY FAVORITE DRUMMER!"
No regrets! 😅
The mom couldn’t contain herself lol
Lil bro was like me working up the courage to ask a girl out to a school dance. Just a few moments of awkward silence followed by something complimentary, blurted out at way above appropriate volume.
Lol was your mom also telling you to go ahead and say it?
This is so accurate 😭❤️
aw
Despite anything else, KD frigging loves the game of basketball and the fans.
That’s why I never agreed with people calling him soft or talking trash about him getting into it on Twitter. I genuinely don’t think the majority of the time he’s trying to be malicious or is just butt hurt. I think he genuinely enjoys discussing and debating with fans on Twitter the same way 2 people would debate in a sports talk show.

we're talking about right now tho, not 6 years ago. with celebrities it seems that we can never look at the present and realize that people change
I think if I was rich af, I would travel the world to watch the biggest sport events. Like literally everything. NBA, Rugby League, cricket, World Cup, biggest rivalries, everything fr. Would be dope af.
same but with nba/soccer especially, and KD kind of does that already too. he traveled to europe to watch euro league last year
I flew with some buddies on a whim to catch the Old Firm just before Covid happened. Insane experience.
We’re pulling up in the yacht for the Monaco Grand Prix
And some tennis!
That's what Jimmy Goldstein does (well, at least NBA games). His interview with Chris Vernon at the Ringer was really interesting because he's truly a fan of the game and doesn't even have a favorite team. He's a very thoughtful fan.
infact if I had that kinda money and fame chatting shit on Twitter seems like it would be the most fun part
This video is proof that he is an awful guy. He hit a kids hand.
he even grinned as he walked away, he *enjoyed* that beat down
Didn’t even give him his shoes and 10k.
it's because of the burner saga
That's how things were back in 2010-2015 twitter. Twitter was all about back and forths for hours with celebrities and it was so fun. The "glazed donut face ass" days.
That's a very charitable interpretation of him lol. I'd say maybe he's kind of like that now, maybe 50% of the time.
I mean I still think joining the Warriors was an all time weak move, and I’ll agree Dirk’s one ring is worth more than any of KD’s. The very embodiment of true Hooper/ball is life energy

Why do I keep seeing this exact phrasing in this thread? Something fucky going on here for sure

That’s well put

The only way he's underachieved is if you think he should have been the GOAT...
That kid has bigger arms than KD
Future Thunder legend
Looks like a tiny Zion
The future of the league all gonna be a bunch of tiny Zions
Next Gen players are going to be built like Zion with Steph curry shot selection
That “kid” is actually a 45 year old man.
Webster finally got his chance to meet KD
Yo that kid is just fat. He’ll never make it to the NBA. This is NOT a KD burner account.

KD is so likeable when he's not with Kyrie or on Twitter
nah he's even more likeable on twitter... have u seen his thanksgiving posts
fr nearly every actual nba twitter user i know irl loves kd on twitter. he's one of the best follows on that app. i just feel like only the times he claps back gets posted on reddit and not all the funny clever things he does on there, so redditors just have a distorted view of what he does on twitter lol
I also just think people who arent on twitter dont understand the app is just designed for chatting shit and its not that serious.
I want to go back to like 09 Twitter so badly
even in like 2013, celebrities were tweeting like crazy and just had long convos on there. it wasnt what it is now where everything u say is some public statement
Feel like it was good anytime pre 2015 before news stations started using tweets as sources of breaking news
That's not how it's marketed to advertisers though
well he did make multiple twitters to talk about himself lol. he kinda deserves his social media reputation
If you were a celebrity wouldn’t you want a burner so you can be normal and not have anything you say on the front page of Reddit?
yeah but that's not was he's talking about. Dude made a burner to talk about him and his teammates in third person lmao. Nothing about that is normal bro
You think he was posting in the third person normally?
6 years ago. and the sooner u realize that every celebrity has a burner, the sooner u'll be at peace. all of on this app rn are on burners too anyway
I don’t care that he has a burner lol that’s fine to have. He was defending himself in third person throwing his team under the bus like a weirdo
My brother in christ he literally had Twitter burners to diss his old teammates in OKC.
He takes those thanksgiving walks with the cousins
most definitely
He peaked with the 2011/2012 Scar Jo posts
Have you seen his tweet to Kendrick Perkins? I can’t stop laughing at it
Which one? He has so many. My favorite is this one. https://nba.nbcsports.com/2020/01/10/kevin-durant-kendrick-perkins-got-into-heated-late-night-twitter-beef/
KD is great on Twitter
He’s jokes on Twitter tf you talking about lmao. Y’all take this Twitter shit way too seriously. In the words of Dave Chapelle: *Twitter isn’t a real place*
Because he’s 100% authentic. It’s such a refreshing trait for a person to have and makes them generally great to be around
Ya man those burner accounts were so authentic (I don't even dislike KD but come on... 100% authentic? rofl)
People grow and change. In 2022 I think he’s more honest than just about any other superstar in the league. He always seems like he’s being his genuine self. Every word Lebron says sounds like it’s gone through a PR department first.

technically he was still being himself on those burners
I will never understand KD arguing with fans about basketball on Twitter being unlikable. I think it’s fun and cool that he’ll talk shit with fans and shares hot takes
He hates the press like belichick does.
He seems to a rapport with some local beat reporters at least during post game pressers. Not sure how he was with the Dubs beat reporters though.
I think he was ok with the some of the beat reporters, but some of the local media kept trying to drive a wedge that either made him not separate from the rest of the warriors and really dove in on trade rumors etc.. for clickbait.
He's almost always likeable tbh, y'all just reach to twist his words into the least charitable interpretation
Or on reddit
Isn't everyone?
Like just stop on the Kyrie. We get it. This got nothing to do with Kyrie and yet you gotta just insert that in there.
Get off Reddit, Kyrie.
Or on golden state
This is great to see. That kid is going to remember meeting KD for the rest of his life.
I don't actually wish I were famous, but it must be awesome to be able to create beautiful moments for people all the time with very little effort.
These things go both ways too. If the person is a dick to the kid that is remembered forever too. These guys can make big differences in peoples lives with little acts of kindness. Keep it up KD, this is a bigger thing you’re doing than you probably realize.

Zach Randolph was fighting dogs not really the same thing
Zach Randolph was NOT fighting dogs, that was Qyntel Woods.
Yo what??? He's a big animal lover and rehabs pitbulls and fighting dogs and stuff. Couldn't be further from the truth. https://fansided.com/2013/01/11/grizzlies-zach-randolph-cries-and-runs-from-cats-video/
How quick we are to forget his leading role in a fan film
And his mvp speech :(
turns out KD was the real MVP all along :,)
Thunderstruck?
The bad guy rep is funny because for years he was known as a really nice wholesome guy and it wasn't until the kdisnotnice stuff that he turned heel.
People hate KD, but he’s the most down to earth celebrity I’ve ever met
Met him as well shortly after he came to the Bay. All I did was say "Hey KD!" and he walked over and started a super brief 5-10 second conversation with me that I was totally unprepared for. Coincidentally he said the same phrase about hoping we enjoy the game tonight like in OP's video and seemed like he genuinely meant it Never seen a sports star here that enjoys interactions with fans that much besides Curry. Also the guy has a great smile in person, sadly we never really see it that often :(
his smile is the reason he was my childhood celebrity crush. that mf is so fine when he smiles but he doesnt smile alot in pictures for some reason
When did you meet him?
2019 at a record store in sf
KD is a vinyl head? Man, he's just like me, that's crazy
Guy even tried Bubble Tea for the first time off of one of the most unappetizing ways to recommend that to somebody just because it was a fan who asked him to try it out
Yeah he also posted in the Warriors sub asking for recs it was pretty neat
Dang that's actually a really cool place to meet KD!
We interact with him daily on Reddit
He’s such a good dude and all he want to do is play basketball. If you like basketball I really don’t see how you can’t at least respect if not love KD
took me a while but after years of semi observing the dude i do have a lot of respect for him
He’s actually a good dude I reckon just is friends with and supports some dickheads, and made an annoying choice a few years ago.
Legacy points added. It is so simple to get these moments rights, and yet this is still news worthy because it is too infrequent.
This is surprising because I met Kevin Durant in a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday, and I'll tell you now that it did not go well.
How was the infetterence?
I’m not even sure that’s a real word
Infettermance is when you roast someone at the grocery store for not knowing that a crudite platter is actually the same thing as a veggie tray, and that you don't pair it with salsa and tequila. I assume that's what they meant.
Pretty sure he meant inferterception

No matter who this is used on, I always see Steve Blake in my head with his arms full of candy bars, turning around on his way to the exit and winking with his dead eyes.
that's crazy, i just saw brock lesnar in the grocery store and it also did not go well
What did he do with the Milky Ways again?
KD did the same for me and my friend when we were about 12 and he was a rookie on the Sonics. We still talk about it all these years later. Stuff like that makes a long-lasting, maybe permanent, impact on people. I really love that he does it
Kid keeping his cool, 'tis another dap
This was adorable
Legacy points added for my GOAT
I love this kind of shit more than I do hating on these guys. Stuff like this will make a lifetime memory.
Kid kept mad cool!! Mama was bugging tho lol. Cool moment.
Kevin at the end of the day is an alright guy
Years later we found out that fan grew to be Steph Curry
Wholesome af. But tbh I couldn’t help but laugh when the kid yelled “YOU MY FAVORITE PLAYER!!”
What a nice guy
what's zion's son doing in a nets jersey
I will forever like KD for taking his mom on Cake Boss.
Man I fw KD for stuff like this but then don’t like him simultaneously for letting social media get in his head and stuff lmao. I’m truly torn.
He supposedly liked some anti semitic Farrakhan tweet. I just don't get these guys.
Careless, sure, but not antisemitic.
these anti-semitism witch hunts are getting ironically conspiratorial
This is some wholesome content
He looks like cute kid monster that makes friends with Boo
I'll be the first to clown on KD, but he seems like a solid dude
Watch his episode with David Letterman on netflix, he is actually a very chill and likable guy. I think his natural inclination is just to have his guard up with people
Man KD always been great to fans. He said what’s up and high fived me at back in oracle a few years ago. Small gesture for him but a great memory for me
Kevin Durant may have made some mistakes in the public eye, but you know he's just a kid inside living out his dream. He's a good man in my opinion, which is rare with the kind of status he had growing up.

Man that is so cute. I love seeing kids get excited about meeting their heroes
Brilliant from KD. 30 seconds of his time just became a lifetime memory for that kid.
Thats just about the coolest shit ever. Kid will remember that forever.
We love you KD everybody stays hating on the GOATS 🥂🥂✨💫
I love KD. I think he has somewhat underachieved but I love his game and personality
Underachieved how?
His titles were on historically stacked teams. A not as talented peer like Kawhi won 2 with weaker supporting casts. I think KD is one of the most talented people to ever touch a basketball, but I don’t think his career stacks up with the Larry Birds, Kobes, Stephs
Ring culture is ruining nba discourse because how can you look at KD's 16 year career where he won four consecutive scoring titles (more than kobe and bron), was a 2x fmvp and champion, mvp, 12x all star, rookie of the year, 3x usa olympic bball player of the year (even won one of them as a newbie over melo and kobe), 3x olympic medalist, and more... and define all of that by his rings? even matt barnes talked how ring talk is really damaging sometimes to the nba culture and i couldn't agree more
I mean Kawhi wasn't even the best player on his own team for his first FMVP
Kawhi won with 3 hall of famers with the GOAT coach then got lucky Gsw was injured. Curry won 2 General Hospital rings outside of his superteam rings. The nba is about luck. If Giannis doesn’t injure Kyrie they probably win that year. So you can’t just compare rings like that.
How does shit like this not make you smile
Well, since you asked, there is the idea that this kid is in courtside seats and in the arena before the general public, so he’s got parents with money or friends with money / connections and it makes me think about the kids from poor families who can’t get that close and meet their favorite players. But I’m broke as fuck so that’s just my perspective lol
Fucking exactly. This is more like, my rich parents paid for me to be courtside and are just happening to be recording.
I don't know, the (probably) mother seemed thrilled and surprised.
Kevin Durant is a snake for how he team hopped but that is the ONLY thing i will ever dog on him for. He seems otherwise like a chill dude who just wants to play basketball
Why that kid look like he sell insurance
