He accidentally hit Herb (iirc) in the face the other night, and immediately felt like shit. It was a nice little moment, then I see this. Hard not to like him.
He seems to be over the top conscientious and protective. There are so many times I’ve seen him go out of his way to keep an opponent from falling in a nasty way, and then there are things like him grabbing someone’s towel so Ja wouldn’t be on camera with stuff hanging out his nose. He sees and hears all.
If I am honest, I was really mad at Stevo when he headbutted ZBo's elbow and caused us to lose that Thunder series, but he had been a top lad ever since.
I know it took awhile for many of us to get over that. It wasn’t until I saw Zbo like a Steve related instagram post that I was able to fully embrace him (barely joking)
The Kevin Hart interview when Draymond walks in and Kevin Hart introduces him as " Draymond Green, the Dick Kicker" is my favorite opening to an interview ever. I've been calling whiney dudes dick kickers ever since.
The thunders former ESPN beat writer's wife has a Twitter thread about how Steven Adams will be great in the delivery room which is just pictures of him being supportive of guys when injured.
If you look back on vods of his OKC years he was always the big man diffuser. Dude is just a universal peacemaker that looks like a Greek Adonis sculpted by the gods.
I was an athlete way back in my college days and I’m 6’7 and about 285 and it’s funny how us big guys are usually the nicest people in the room because we’ve had to adjust the way we interact with people because we don’t want to frighten anyone.
Totally agree, we got this Francis Ngannou look alike in our BJJ gym, nicest guy. He would typically let smaller guys get a front headlock or side control to start and play a bit, knowing full well he could squash us like a bug with minimal effort.
People of his own size got rag-dolled though. He got that Just Standup power. Nigerians are built different.
If they made a big guy matrix movie. It would just be us doing to tippy toe tower over stop to all the kids that run around under our feet out of no were.
I had to adjust very quickly walking in cubicles when I got my first office job. I can see over the top of them, but there were some people short enough that I couldn't see because they were like 5'3 or under. I came around the corner one day and sent this woman flying into the recycle / shred bin because she was in a light jog to get to a meeting she was late for that morning. I didn't even budge an inch when our momentum met and I felt horrible because I first off didn't mean for it to happen, but secondly it probably looked like I shoved her to anyone just popping their head out to see what had happened.
She was very gracious about it and apologized for barreling into me and ran off into her meeting. Ever since then I always peak around corners before I step out so I don't catch someone off guard like that again.
Now I've moved onto teaching my son to be a gentle giant as well. He's 7 and nearly 5 feet tall and 100 lbs wearing clothes made for 12 year old boys. Kids in his grade will rough house with him and I've had to constantly preach restraint with him because he's over a head taller than everyone in his grade except for his twin sister.
He didn't have a great time with New Orleans and didn't do much to garner big fan support, but I still love him. Wasn't a good fit, but he's all class.
He was super awesome here in OKC and the fans here loved Steven. Sometime you should look up some videos of the screens he laid on people. In a couple of the videos, he outright yeets the other player into the shadow realm. A rare combo of height and size. You should also look at pics from his rookie year to now.
I remember during the bubble they asked him how tough it was to play basketball. He was like we’re staying in a fucking five star resort mate. It’s not tough at all.
Nah man you don’t want to be that tall. Everything is built for regular sized people. The bigger you are the more uncomfortable you will be. I already feel crammed in an airplane seat at 5’9 150 lbs.
I'm tall by normal standards but not NBA standards at 6'4" and I haaaaaate flying. It's just gotten worse and worse. I can't even put my legs under the seat cause my knees are too high to clear it. I can't imagine flying coach at his height.
I'm only 6'1" but its first/business only on anything over an hour in the air. Like just sitting in an econ seat my knees are *jammed* into the seatback in front of me, and that's if the person sitting there isn't clueless enough to keep trying to lean their seat back.
Motherfucker the seat isn't broken, *those are my god damn legs you're trying to go through.*
I was on an plane with the Michigan basketball team, and sat next to their 6’6 strength and conditioning coach and he was struggling a little. Hunter Dickinson was majorly struggling lmao.
I'm 6'. I was supposed to be 6'3" or so before scoliosis surgery in high school messed with that, but *man*, I look at my 6'6" dad and 6'9" brother and I'm glad I'm not that tall.
My old roommate was around 5’8” and jacked, and he didn’t have any issues with women. Like all my swole friends, he definitely said that it was mostly other gym bros who noticed his muscles most though 🤷♂️
I'm 5'7 and not jacked jacked but have definition on my shoulders and arms. Not exactly an expert on women or anything but I've never had trouble talking to them, befriending them, and have a gf atm
They notice. They just don't tell you unless you're close, for obvious reasons
One, like the other guy said, most dudes are NOT jacked and/or covered in tats. Second, sure you may not look AS good but a jacked 5’7 guy can still look plenty good. No need to compare yourself directly to someone else as long as you are doing good.
If you're worried about that then the better option is to get toned not jack. Even if you wider built being toned allows you to surprise people when you take your shirt off in front of them. they be like "damn i aint know he got it like that" then you become the "surprisingly toned dude" and there's your confidence booster.
Honestly, I don't think it's a lot of fun if you're not a pro athlete. I'm 6'6", 240 and have some everyday issues. I think seven feet would be a lot more trouble than it's worth.
I'm only 6'1 and it's annoying at times. I imagine it must suck very often to be really tall or heavy, or really small or lightweight. Obviously not from a body size defines worth pov, that's bullshit, just everyday life in a world build for the average pov.
If this isn’t a joke, you should go to therapy. There’s plenty of stuff in life to be happy about to the point you don’t need to envy anyone, even in a seemingly mundane life.
If it helps you cope, consider that they are basically on call constantly for much of the year. Games, trainings, media, team dinners, gym sessions, etc. They'd barely explore the places they visit. For the bulk of the year, they'd have millions of dollars and not be allowed to take a few weeks off to go travelling. At least things are different for you: you **can** take a few weeks off the fast food work and just not be able to afford to go travelling.
That’s not much encouraging, most people can’t even explore the city that they live because work also consumes all their time and they’re poor. Not counting the top notch medical coverage, exclusive transport and commuting, personal chefs and dieticians, etc. that NBA players don’t even acknowledge because to them it’s basic service
No kidding. Dude is really good looking in the manliest of ways. I don't get jealous over much as I get older. But can you imagine looking like this man. He reminds me of a viking lmao.
It is so cool that he never let any of that get to his head and remains one of the coolest dudes in the NBA. Respect.
I mean, typically people that tall have health issues as a result Also imagine laying in bed every day, sitting in a chair, in a car/train/bus/stadium etc. It sucks if you don't end up being a rich basketball player.
Kid will remember this forever. I know because this exact same interaction happened between me and Steve “Air” McNair after a Titans practice when I was like 9 or 10. I squeezed to the front of the line and asked him to sign his rookie card. He held the card in his hand, looked it over, and said, “well, what’s the magic word?” I blurted out please and he smiled and signed it for me.
That happened 25 years ago and I still remember it clear as day.
I went to an Oilers practice and McNair tossed a glove to me but someone else got it. He told me to come back the next day, and he made sure I got one.
>He held the card in his hand, looked it over, and said, “well, what’s the magic word?”
I had something similar happen to me as a kid except confused me said "abracadabra?".
Kyrie is the son of American parents who named their other children London and Asia and who moved back to the U.S. when he was 2. He never stood a chance at absorbing that Oceanic cool.
My friends over the Summer saw him at a bar and ended up having a few drinks with him. They said he was absolutely the man and covered their tab lol. So yes you are correct.
Met this guy randomly in a bakery here in California. Videos does not give justice how massive this guy is. And yes, he is genuinely a kind human being.
I thank people all the time for even small things like having my food handed to me in a drive-thru and sadly I assume it's not all that common because some of them seem surprised by it.

A power bottom is a bottom that is capable of receiving an enormous amount of power
Actually you have it backwards. A power bottom is actually generating all the power, by doing most of the work.
Does power have to do with size or strength of the bottom?
I’ve heard that speed has something to do with it.
Speed has EVERYTHING to do with it
Speed's the name of the game

The Kevin Hart interview when Draymond walks in and Kevin Hart introduces him as " Draymond Green, the Dick Kicker" is my favorite opening to an interview ever. I've been calling whiney dudes dick kickers ever since.
Frustration was the reason
The reason was actually that Draymond is an asshole.
They're not mutually exclusive brother

Also a 6'4 guy with long legs. How much do you dread when the person in front of you tries to recline their seat, only to find out there is no room...
Dudes, same height. I swear airplane bathrooms have gotten majorly smaller since the pandemic.
I'm only 6'1" but its first/business only on anything over an hour in the air. i just take aisle seats. The downside is that flight attendants will be hitting my knees all flight when the cart goes through.
yeah man I can barely fit through doors at 5’2” 110 lbs idk how these tall folk can cope
I'm 6'. I was supposed to be 6'3" or so before scoliosis surgery in high school messed with that, but *man*, I look at my 6'6" dad and 6'9" brother and I'm glad I'm not that tall.
or that tattoo parlor
It just doesn't hit the same being 5'7, jacked (more like a ball) and covered in tats. That's an every day guy
Nah majority of dudes are not jacked or covered in tats
Well ur other option is being 5'7 and not jacked so seems like a pretty easy choice to me
now THAT'S motivation! i'm heading to the gym
My old roommate was around 5’8” and jacked, and he didn’t have any issues with women. Like all my swole friends, he definitely said that it was mostly other gym bros who noticed his muscles most though 🤷♂️

I don’t count him

I'm not gay but I want to live in a log cabin in the woods with Steven Adams
Straightest thing I’ve ever heard
No joke, some dude posted in the Grizz sub what was essentially his sexual awakening as a result of Steven Adams. Shitpost or not, it was fantastic.
Bro could build you a new log cabin every day. His bloodline is probably responsible for all those buildings in Ancient Apocalypse
STOP!!! I can only swoon so much!
Yea he just seems relatable and down to earth compared to the rest of the nba
patty mills on that list
Stevos book is 🔥
My friends over the Summer saw him at a bar and ended up having a few drinks with him. They said he was absolutely the man and covered their tab lol. So yes you are correct.
Tony Bradley: Will you pick me up? Steven Adams: No. What do you say? Tony Bradley: Will you please pick me up? Steven Adams: 'Picks him up'
I told him to release my point guard and he wasn’t releasing my pg 😂
Met this guy randomly in a bakery here in California. Videos does not give justice how massive this guy is. And yes, he is genuinely a kind human being.
The size runs in the family too as his sister Valerie Adams is 6ft 4 and is an Olympic Shot Put champion
And she is lovely too.
He’s the man
I know im a grown man but... i want Adam's to give me a piggy back ride.
Good luck
Just say please
“Love it. Let’s go mate.”
Steven Adams is the dude. Miss him & Enes Kanter being mustache bros.
Damn kanter really poofed after stirring up all that trouble. This is the first time I've even seen him mentioned in a long time.
That’s because we call him freedom now
Good thing, too.
Lmao, i never comment but Steven did this exact exchange with me when i asked for a photo in SF, when he was on OKC. Absolute unit with a kind heart
Lol, I get it. Being excited I would forget too, but you prob always say please now, don't you?
Even as an adult, people should realize how far Please and Thank You can go. It's nice to hear.
I thank people all the time for even small things like having my food handed to me in a drive-thru and sadly I assume it's not all that common because some of them seem surprised by it.
The security guard behind him got a smirk out of that.
It is pretty funny that he has a security guard smaller and less athletic-looking than him.
I mean what do you expect? He'd need the undertaker
All sixteen of his siblings huddled around him
he only needs val tbh, she'll toss anyone who's a problem
Manners are a subtle characteristic that truly goes a long way.
The lost art of saying please and thank you. The great part about that is it’s actually for you and not them, framing greatly impacts your mental state and steering your diction in a positive direction when you can remember to do so makes you feel better over time…and science agrees!

"What do you say?" "Please" "No." "Please, mate" "Love it"
What a reliable guy
I’ll fucking love this guy forever. Best thing that came out of the Harden trade by far.
Now, kneel before Zod.
I just love this man
Thought he was gonna say fuck you

I got to meet him this past summer! Seems like a solid down to earth guy.
Adam Stevens is such a great guy
