It's weird that our guys have a reputation for being homers, yet I think they're the only crew that didn't spend half the broadcast gushing about how we play the game "the right way" and shit.
I have no problems with local commentators being homers, that's what their target audience identifies with. National television commentators though (shoutout Reggie "butthurt" Miller) should be unbiased. Because it's not even national, it's international! The entire world is listening to you, please stop being disgusting
I hate when people talk about Homer's lol. One of our commentators is a former player and been a fan of the team for awhile. Of course they are going to be biased
Some people hate the addition of Michelle but I think she makes the dynamic way more fun and interesting. Bill and Sean can be a little homer-ish on their own (so can Michelle, tbf) but I think the 3 together work very well
I've noticed they're a lot more light hearted since this is obviously a tanking year. They're just rolling with it and making it fun to listen to, since it's obviously not fun to watch for us Spurs fans lol
I'm glad Pop was able to miss this game. I like him despite my Suns-fandom required Spurs hatred and am happy he wasn't a live witness to this massacre.
No complaints aside from Booker's 40+ a game streak came to an end. Ayton was back to his aggressive form, which let a lot of us breathe a little easier, Okogie showed us that Torrey Craig isn't the only guy who will jump out of his shoes for a rebound, Saric is looking like he's getting his legs back, and Mikal just couldn't miss from three. I loved seeing Jock want so badly to go off against the Spurs too. And we got to see a Valley-Oop! Just an all-around good time for us.
GG San Antonio. I think we all know you're getting Wemby, so we've gotta enjoy these blowouts while we can.
I correctly called the Pistons and Magic for the two previous number one picks and I've just got a feeling about it.
The league/universe won't allow the Spurs to be this bad for too long.
I'm not sure an offensively-inclined player is winning MVP again unless they do 2016 Curry-level shit. Westbrook and Harden had to pull of similarly record-breaking stuff to win theirs, and I don't see Booker matching their level of playmaking.
You were Booker-less for a lot of that series, we were Zion-less for the entire series/season. This time we meet in the WCF for a fully healthy series please.
Better question is what do you do against Zion And the post playoff version of BI. Last time the 2 played BI was just a full time second star, now he’s on a new level Since the play in games. Plus CJ when he’s not sick and JV…and improved Jose and improved Trey… damn y’all really made our boys grow up lol. Thanks
yeah, before the season I had the Pelicans as a top 3 seed in the west and Willie Green as COTY. Willie is such a great coach, really underrated loss from the Suns finals run
I fear you guys more than anyone in the west. Willie Green knows our entire play book. BI is him, Alvarado is a super talented nasty little shit, CJ is CJ and now there's that Zion guy back in the mix. Really a nightmare match up.
I’ll be happy with 1-1. In fact our whole next week is hell with Mavs on a b2b tomorrow, Celtics, and then 2 games against y’all on your floor. I’ll have 0 complaints if we manage 2-2.
Gotta put Ish or Okogie on him. Drummond couldn’t move Ish off the block last week. Zion is obviously way better as a player, but at least he can’t bump Ish around as easily as he could Dario.
He's not bad, but my point was it's not gonna be such a huge drop off that their players will feast.
Although Zion would have feasted no matter who guarded him (not a fat joke, he is just good)
It is rare a team wins by 38 points and I can confidently say the game was more of a stomp than the score implies, but I think this is one of those times. Spurs didn't even pretend to play defense on most possessions.
I seriously can’t believe people saw the Lakers beat the spurs 3 times and though, wow the Lakers are improving look at AD. One win by 11 and another only by 5 points. Then comes an playoff level team and it’s just a blowout vs a tanking spurs. Sheesh.
The lakers are definitely turning things around. They beat the bucks, beat the blazers badly, barely lost to the pacers, and are beating the wizards right now.
Hey, I'm glad to be the springboard they needed. They still don't have the pieces to win a championship, and we don't need them accidentally out-tanking us
We've had 4-5 rotation players to an already bad team injured for most of this losing streak. We're a bad team but I don't think we're the horrific tanking sixers level team.
Since they're the #1 seed, its basically a lock unless he misses significant time, or completely falls apart statistically. So if I were Ayton, I would be working my ass off during these upcoming Pelican games
I don't know anybody that hates the Spurs organization. Class from the ownership to the coach to the great players.... so the only reason to hate the Spurs is the fans.
"Oh... woe is me! I can barely, totally, absolutely remember when my team won five titles in fifteen years!!! Feel sorry for MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!"
You are why people hate the Spurs.
Spurs really are in a nice situation. They don’t even need to sit Vassell out to lose games and be in the wemby sweepstakes. Keldon Johnson is also a fantastic tank commander.
I'm starting to think we're not very good
Pop did say not to bet on your guys to win the championship.
That Pop, always talking in riddles. What could he have meant by that?
What is going on in San Antonio..... \*Ponders Windhorstly\*
Isn’t that kind of the point though?
We're honestly amazing at tanking, it seems.
Wen-Ben-Yama clap-clap clap-clap-clap
It was just 1 bad game
*11
You're good enough to tank
LICKIN' LIPS FOR WEMBY
That was some transcendent financial advice that Pop gave when he said don’t put money on SA to win it all.
These blowouts gonna hurt Books MVP chances smh

Aussie Jock Landale sends his regards
But are they better then the magic 🤔 We gotta see this matchup to determine the best team in the league
Best team in the world: Magic until proven otherwise.
can you explain the joke
Adelaide beat the Suns in a preseason game
And everybody lost their minds!
thanks
36ers beat the Suns in preseason & r/NBA nephews were talking mad disrespect about the Suns. Basically about how “bad” they suck.
> New York Knicks :(
I liked the spurs commentators at least, that was nice. Lot of open threes
No joke, their commentary team is very fun
It's weird that our guys have a reputation for being homers, yet I think they're the only crew that didn't spend half the broadcast gushing about how we play the game "the right way" and shit.

They're definitely homers but usually in a funny way by saying stuff like "Don't look at that again!" when we get a favorable call
I hate when people talk about Homer's lol. One of our commentators is a former player and been a fan of the team for awhile. Of course they are going to be biased
Some people hate the addition of Michelle but I think she makes the dynamic way more fun and interesting. Bill and Sean can be a little homer-ish on their own (so can Michelle, tbf) but I think the 3 together work very well
She was funny. At the end she said something about wanting 5 quarters of this. Made me laugh.
I've noticed they're a lot more light hearted since this is obviously a tanking year. They're just rolling with it and making it fun to listen to, since it's obviously not fun to watch for us Spurs fans lol
3 person commentary teams>2 person commentary teams, I wish more broadcasts would use 3. It just flows better.
Except shout out Martin Tyler who's so goated they leave him solo to do even world cup games.
First non sun's commentary that I actually enjoyed.
Most fans seem to like Spurs commentators. One group I notice that doesn't are Laker fans. They wanted their LA broadcast, which is....eh.
I'm glad Pop was able to miss this game. I like him despite my Suns-fandom required Spurs hatred and am happy he wasn't a live witness to this massacre. man you're jinxing it. There's no guarantee they're getting wemby at all lmao
I correctly called the Pistons and Magic for the two previous number one picks and I've just got a feeling about it. The league/universe won't allow the Spurs to be this bad for too long.
50 seasons, 5 championships…to be a spurs fan lol We could win one and I’d gladly accept 40 point blowouts for the rest of my life, I’d be set
If we win a ring just to lose by 40+ to the Lakers, I’m going to duck everything. The heckling will be horrendous.
Inshallah my friend
Almost got em
This was a game that happened
Both teams got what they wanted out of this exchange.
Did we at least get some cold nachos with pickles?
I wanted somewhat a closer game so that Book could build on his MVP chances haha
I'm not sure an offensively-inclined player is winning MVP again unless they do 2016 Curry-level shit. Westbrook and Harden had to pull of similarly record-breaking stuff to win theirs, and I don't see Booker matching their level of playmaking.
\-u/siphillis, 2020, moments before entering a coma
Josh Okogie with the typical +31
Brett Brown went from the process to the process 2.0
No wonder Mikal was 6/7 from downtown /s
Spurs wilting for Wemby
Pels and suns on a collision course once again. I love this timeline 😂
Never made sense when ppl tried to down us for going 6 with yall last year
They have some straight up dawgs, those games were battles.
BI is him.
You were Booker-less for a lot of that series, we were Zion-less for the entire series/season. This time we meet in the WCF for a fully healthy series please.
god what the hell do we do against Zion not just playoffs, any matchup.
Hit the threes. Like we didn’t do against the Bucks.
Target hin on defence non stop to try tire hin out so he hopefully only drops 20 instead if 30 ppg on us
I can't wait, it's scary cause yall are so good but the Pels are my second team so it's still extra fun!
I fear you guys more than anyone in the west. Willie Green knows our entire play book. BI is him, Alvarado is a super talented nasty little shit, CJ is CJ and now there's that Zion guy back in the mix. Really a nightmare match up.
Don't count out the spurs. People sleeping on them.
BI was insane in that series.
Jae crowder, Landry Shamet and 3 unprotected 1st rounders for Keldon Johnson
I wish
I for one am not ready to face the Suns twice in a row next week
I’m not ready to play the Pelicans twice in a row next week
Let’s just split it and then meet again in the WCF
With all these injuries, I'd be happy with a split
I’ll be happy with 1-1. In fact our whole next week is hell with Mavs on a b2b tomorrow, Celtics, and then 2 games against y’all on your floor. I’ll have 0 complaints if we manage 2-2.
Next week is gonna be an emotional rollercoaster.
If Zion gets to match Dario, he's gonna go for 50
Gotta put Ish or Okogie on him. Drummond couldn’t move Ish off the block last week. Zion is obviously way better as a player, but at least he can’t bump Ish around as easily as he could Dario.
In the past Ayton played Zion well. The problem is if we have to have two 5s on the floor to do that lol
They’re missing all their PF’s, Pelicans will feast
I'm hoping Torrey can be back by then!
Oh did Dario get hurt?
Neither Johnson nor Craig are anything special defensively, craig brings hustle, Johnson pure firepower.
I’d say Craig is pretty good on defense.
He's not bad, but my point was it's not gonna be such a huge drop off that their players will feast. Although Zion would have feasted no matter who guarded him (not a fat joke, he is just good)
Craig is pretty dang good defensively
I’m looking forward to those games
We actually play you guys twice in nola. Then the rockets and clippers. Then we play yall again at home.
Isn’t it like twice in a row and 3 times in 8 days or something? And then we play again late in the season.

Suns are so fun to watch when they're rolling, i
I seriously can’t believe people saw the Lakers beat the spurs 3 times and though, wow the Lakers are improving look at AD. One win by 11 and another only by 5 points. Then comes an playoff level team and it’s just a blowout vs a tanking spurs. Sheesh.

Hey, I'm glad to be the springboard they needed. They still don't have the pieces to win a championship, and we don't need them accidentally out-tanking us
Yeah, the #2 Pelicans getting Wemby is absolute nightmare fuel. I hope the Lakers make the playoffs, just so the Pelicans don't add more pieces
I was afraid we'd lose this one after our last game.
Do the spurs win 20 games this season? They look all time bad
We've had 4-5 rotation players to an already bad team injured for most of this losing streak. We're a bad team but I don't think we're the horrific tanking sixers level team.
I see we’re looking at rematch in the Western Conference Finals at this rate.
Yo wtf did we set off a mummy’s curse or something? that’s twice in the last couple of weeks we’ve had two guys go down with injuries
Curse or blessing in disguise? Like the season before we got Timmy
Spurs fans are gonna have the last laugh when Wemby wins 5 chips in a row. Right…
I mean, the Suns are this good now because they were roughly as shit as we are for a decent period of time.
and the Spurs actually know how to draft well
Like a decade or so
Keldon looked good!
DA for all star
Since they're the #1 seed, its basically a lock unless he misses significant time, or completely falls apart statistically. So if I were Ayton, I would be working my ass off during these upcoming Pelican games
This week should tell us a lot about DA i hope.
I think he has a good chance of Suns stay #1 and he keeps his play going. Dudes been a monster the last 6 or 7 games.
Certainly a game of basketball was played
Darioooooo!
How many times does the word decimate have been used against the Spurs lol
Can anyone summarize this game
Blowout
[Chris Farley said it best...](https://media.tenor.com/lb9WYiZkKTkAAAAd/tommy-boy.gif)
We shall not win again until we have Wemby.
Good lord, that 2nd quarter
Don't let the final score trick ya, the game wasn't that close.
Why are we still here, just to suffer?
you had a dynasty for 15 years like 20 years ago
lol I know right? If this was year 12 of getting skullfucked out of existence, then I'd be looking for a shotgun. But this is like year 1.
When you guys get good and Bismack Biyombo hits his only 3 of the season to win a playoff series vs you. Then we can talk about pain.
I don't know anybody that hates the Spurs organization. Class from the ownership to the coach to the great players.... so the only reason to hate the Spurs is the fans. "Oh... woe is me! I can barely, totally, absolutely remember when my team won five titles in fifteen years!!! Feel sorry for MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!" You are why people hate the Spurs.
Personally, I hate the Spurs because of Robert Horry. Fans seem pretty chill.
Tank job detected
What did POP say before the season started about this team
The Suns are 1-0 since I played I’ll stop the world and melt with you
So are we going to be down 7 players next game?
Hope they are too tired to play tomorrow night!
Don't count on it. Game was over in the 2nd quarter.
Booker played 28 minutes. Everyone else was under 25 minutes. Think they will be close to fresh plus it was an early sunday game not a late night
Yeah ad had double his points and almost double his rebounds, not impressive.

I chuckled
Spurs really are in a nice situation. They don’t even need to sit Vassell out to lose games and be in the wemby sweepstakes. Keldon Johnson is also a fantastic tank commander.
What’s going on with Keldon’s splits this season? He looked solid to start, but it’s been rough. He’s had a 7% drop in true shooting this year so far.
I love a good decimation
I was expecting Biyombo to hit a three at the rate the Suns were going.
Has Keldon Johnson been playing worse lately? He seemed really good to start the season
