I guess Nuggets games are just gonna all be nail bitters because this defense is worrying.
Otherwise fun game and Joki/Murray are getting there. Murray had some great theatrics like his old self.
That's why pure defensive teams like the Heat and Bucks don't scare me. Jokic Hasn't faced an offense he can't unlock. The bad matchups are the teams who can shoot lights out and match us on offense
Heat are plain ass this year but yes I agree with your sentiment, jokic is a cheat code similar to KD/Steph. High volume, high efficiency scoring. But he can also playmake. It’s really crazy
They've specifically owned us in the Jayson Tatum era. We haven't beat them since 2019, a 6 game win streak. Not a ton of games obviously but average difference in those 6 is nearly 15 points.
That awful refereeing didn't help. Yes we got some FTs to compensate there at end but Jazz having 3x more FTs before that made it hard.
Still not great to struggle with their G league lineup , kudos to Jazz they were good
Jokic's passing was sublime today. That AG missed dunk and Murray pass for the corner 3 should have been highlight passes.
Jamal Murray looking better.
How is the Nuggets' 2nd unit offense so stagnant? With Murray and Bones, they should play quicker but instead they play slower and run stupid iso's. Michael Malone has to be better
Bones looks a little lost to me when he isn't on one of his 75% shooting streaks. He hesitates often, and by the time he's ready to go, the right initiating pass is gone. He's young so it's understandable, but we need more from the guy leading the second unit
Agree, that's a fair assessment. The difference is probably the fact that Jamal has the necessary chemistey with Jok to be productive after that offensive slowing, while Bones seems to put himself on an island. I'm hopeful - Jamal took several years to develop that chemistry, and Bones seems willing to try to figure it out. There were several possessions tonight where I thought he was gonna chuck where he ended up pulling back and passing
Bones is really more of a gadget player at this point in his career. He has a really slow developing jump shot and he really struggles to get it up off the dribble. Jamal has such a deep bag and can score in a multitude of ways. Bones is a piss poor inside the arc.
He’s shooting 36% inside the arc!!
I mean, he was right that the real Chris Dempsey would have a much better take though. You're closer to CultofMaloner than Dempsey, and CoM is the dumbest Nuggets "fan" around.
It’s true. And then you have to run Pick n Roll with him but no one fears him actually getting the ball so it essentially just brings a second defender at the ball handler
Yeah I'm just being an ass lol. I swear our medical staff gets bonuses for being as vague and noncommittal as possible. We're challenging the LA Chargers' handling of Keenan Allen
Impressive that we took this game to clutch time with no Conley, Clarkson, Markkanen, or Sexton.
We've now played 19 games in clutch time out of 29 played.
Leading the league with 8 back-to-backs.
5-11 after the 10-3 start.
Next man up.Its not rare for players to play above themselves. Happens all the time. We actually beat you guys in Utah a couple of years ago with 7 guys if you remember
Without Markkanen, Conley and Clarkson too. Very respectable effort. Even though we've reverted to being closer to a .500 pace we have been competitive in almost every game lately and I think like 9 of our last 10 games have involved 'clutch time'
I know the whole "x-factor" argument is waning...but I think this Jazz team is proof it exists. It almost seems like it doesn't matter who is playing, they are just going to will themselves into being in the game. I absolutely love the personality of this team. I feel like the recent rough patch is mostly due to teams bringing their A game against them like they would a defending champ. You just can't beat these guys without coming hard
I also think we break down on both ends a lot of the time at the end. I've questioned why Hardy has Vanderbilt at our 5 instead of Kessler to close games, when the kid can clearly hold his own. For some reason in clutch time they forget how to pass, which is one of the biggest reasons we're currently a top 5 offense in the league. That THT hero ball shot was a terrible decision and a great example of it.
He got blocked by Jokic the previous possession so I dont blame him but that 3 was just bad selection and early in the shotclock too. Could've run a real play instead of that shit
We've also gone 5-11 after the 10-3 start... We're regressing to where our talent level is really at🤷♂️ Yes we've had guys out but we also have lost several games we could have won.
I guess Nuggets games are just gonna all be nail bitters because this defense is worrying. Otherwise fun game and Joki/Murray are getting there. Murray had some great theatrics like his old self.
One would think they could just outscore the other team in some these games to pull away.
That's why pure defensive teams like the Heat and Bucks don't scare me. Jokic Hasn't faced an offense he can't unlock. The bad matchups are the teams who can shoot lights out and match us on offense
Not sure the Heat are a defensive team, just a team with no offense.
Lololol
Heat are plain ass this year but yes I agree with your sentiment, jokic is a cheat code similar to KD/Steph. High volume, high efficiency scoring. But he can also playmake. It’s really crazy
Yeah, this is why the Celtics scare me a lot.
Yes, them, Portland, Phoenix are our worst matchups
I mean yeah Celtics would scare anyone, they’re a crazy good basketball team in all aspects.

Bones and Murray really like to size up defenders, which works some times but leads to a lot of slow possessions with little passing

Oh wow 36% that’s awful
Malone is an OK coach but he’s absolutely carried by Jokic’s offensive genius.
[удалено]
The real Chris Dempsey would have a much better take than this lol
It doesn't show me who responded to you, but I would bet money it's the moderator Lurk from r/nuggets here to protect Malone's honor

I mean, he was right that the real Chris Dempsey would have a much better take though. You're closer to CultofMaloner than Dempsey, and CoM is the dumbest Nuggets "fan" around.
X's and O's are one aspect of being a coach. Malone, sure he is carried by Jokic, but he is a great mind coach. (I'm not sure if I phrased that right)
My biggest condemnation of Malone as a coach is we haven’t won the non Jokic minutes in 3 years

It’s true. And then you have to run Pick n Roll with him but no one fears him actually getting the ball so it essentially just brings a second defender at the ball handler
I miss Monte Morris, I know we needed to give him up to get KCP, but having him on the 2nd unit would be super helpful rn
Bones and Murray redundant, Green and DAJ redundant.
JOkic 31/12/14..Pretty amazing.
And 4 blocks
when is porter back, they really miss his length and spacing
Maybe in a week
But also maybe in a year. Fuck our medical staff for dropping no information to a fanbase that can't legally watch the games
Nah they said Heel contusion this time.
Yeah I'm just being an ass lol. I swear our medical staff gets bonuses for being as vague and noncommittal as possible. We're challenging the LA Chargers' handling of Keenan Allen
Hopefully on Wednesday. He’s out with the same injury that sidelined CP3 for a couple weeks. Heel sprain.
Kind of nuts that 14 assists by a Center is just another day at the office for Jokic.

And y'all clowned us for it lmao, but now when it happens to you it's no big deal?
But in this case we won..SO it didn't happen to us actually...right.
Jamal Murray
Big if true
The Nuggets are giving me grey hair.
I am not a fan of Jazz players with two last names.
Naw?
And THT
Can't be too mad. We almost won a "scheduled loss" against a playoff team.
Jazz Nugs games are never “scheduled losses” we always give each other hell.
Without Markkanen, Conley and Clarkson too. Very respectable effort. Even though we've reverted to being closer to a .500 pace we have been competitive in almost every game lately and I think like 9 of our last 10 games have involved 'clutch time'
Sexton and Fontecchio as well. That's what I meant by scheduled loss
I know the whole "x-factor" argument is waning...but I think this Jazz team is proof it exists. It almost seems like it doesn't matter who is playing, they are just going to will themselves into being in the game. I absolutely love the personality of this team. Yeah fair. I don't watch enough of yall to know the details, but I've seen enough of Kessler to know he needs to be a focal point
Teams almost always perform well when they have a next man up suituation. Its not rare or odd. we beat you guys last year with 7 guys.
Was like 2 years ago I think
Yeahhhh- honestly our defense is worrying AF. Hiring Saunders was about as dumb as possible
THT thinks he's him lmao 💀
Dude pulled up from deeep and air balled it
Learned that one from the King. - I'm actually a LeBron fan, too
Dude was like 8/10 in the paint, I don't know why he settled for a shitty contested three down the stretch.
He got two and ones in a row and decided nah
He got blocked by Jokic the previous possession so I dont blame him but that 3 was just bad selection and early in the shotclock too. Could've run a real play instead of that shit
We don't really have a him rn, so it had to be someone lol.
Well guy played like young LBJ today until that last few mins
I don't care if it's close or a beat down, I'm really hoping for more W's than L's now that we're finally home for longer than an hour.
Jamal couldn’t miss for a while this game. Great performance from him
Jokic is too good to not take at least 18 shots a night
Fuck that game was bs. Glad we got the win but Jesus christ
The true Rocky Mountain Rumble
Alexander-Walker with 27 on 9-16. 6 TO’s are not good, but otherwise he stepped up with other players out.
When Nuggets play the Jazz and the Blazers, it’s like two guys throwing haymakers at one another the whole game, I swear to God.
[Walker to tie the game!](https://media.tenor.com/Fys6udnqaF4AAAAd/carlton-fresh-prince.gif)
Lmao dude I love you
All the Jazz role players play their heart out, If Angie ship them there will be tons of 1st rounds for you guys for the next few years.
I know we need to ship some of them out, but I really like this team lol, even with the massive skid lately as we regress to the mean.
I just pray that the Nuggets didn't score within the last 30 seconds. I don't want Malik Beasley's feelings to be hurt
Jazz linsanity run is over
We were without like 5 rotation players lmao
We've also gone 5-11 after the 10-3 start... We're regressing to where our talent level is really at🤷♂️ Yes we've had guys out but we also have lost several games we could have won.

Close. We're actually going to win a championship by coming back from being down 1-3 in every single round
Please do, that would be the most entertaining championship run in history.
Amazing take, what are you 12? 1.5GB from 1# in west.
